  1. Hi, I'm having trouble with LDD on my family computer- After I start it, the loading screen comes up, the bar fills up and then it just crashes. It disappears from Task manager as well. I've already tried all the instructions I found here, I reinstalled the program, deleted the folders, edited the preferences file, updated both Direct X and nVidia drivers, but nothing worked. As for the PC, it's running Windows 7 Home Premium, 32bit on AMD Sempron 145, 2GB RAM, nVidia Point of View GeForce GT 610. Another thing, however- as I've mentioned, this is a family computer- I'm in college and LDD works just fine on my own PC, but I came home a few days ago and tried to set up LDD for my little brother, however, as my family isn't really that good with computers, I have no idea what kind of junk they might have installed or what they could have messed up in this last year while I was in college... So, uh, any other ideas on what might be causing this?
  2. I just made these decals for my avatar, and figured I might as well post them if anyone wants them . All of the decals are not to the correct scale, dimensions, or cropping, since I made these specifically for LDD specifications. Feel free to correct the decals to the correct specifications and post them here . Picture 1 - Picture 2 Head Torso Left Arm Right Arm Waist Left Leg Right Leg

This page will contain all next projects wip about pacific rim, including kaiju and jaegers, at the same (or realy close) scale than My Gipsy (linked #http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97069) and for the now this is one image of the current project, sugestions, critiques and ideas are all welcome, thanks for attention
  5. OK, I'm starting a new topic on bugs in LDD 4.3.8. Anything may be posted, just as long as you look back to make sure it hasn't been posted already. And as always, kid appropriate. No swearing!
  6. These creatures are use by the nomad people of the Tatullians who live in the Westersands. Being the relatives of the common armadillos, they were domesticated by the people of the desert many centuries ago. The Tatullians depend of these animals greatly and use them in various fields. Since their skin is thick, it is hard to harm them during a battle. Their riders wield long spears to stab the enemy from the height of the Tatullo. The most distinctive feature of them comes from the armadillo heritage: they can curl up into a giant impenetrable ball, which can be used as a cover during a fight. It withstands common arrows or spears, but Greek fire or other heavy attack can hurt these creatures, so Tatullians don’t use them as living shield when their loved ones can be in serious danger. Tatullos are surprisingly balanced when they are curled as pictured below, so they can be used as “outposts” when no higher grounds can be found in the desert. The bond between the mount and rider is very strong. During the heavy sandstorm Tatullos surrounds their master to protect them from the harsh wind that would surely cost the human’s life. That huge body guards the fragile one… (strangely they have orange eyelids) Sorry from my Mitgardian brothers for not building this in the North, but the natural environment of the armadillos required that. Disclaimer: As it is a digital build, is not considered to be an official entry of the Mini-challenge. I just wanted to show this. I planned to build an animal that I find very cute, and not seen to often in LEGO form. Building the “curling mechanism” was quite a challenge. And if you want to punish someone, force them to use these ball-joints in LDD. It has unlimited possibilities, but making the right position is more time-consuming than in real life.

  8. Hey everyone, So, I have a little issue with LDD's latest update(s). Every time I open LDD, it keeps installing the same, slow update (37.68MB, followed by a 36.40MB one, then a 36.18MB one and a 39MB one) and, yet, I don't receive any new elements. In fact, I haven't received many of the new elements that others have apparently received (HF minifigure pieces, Bad Cop's blaster, etc.). Has anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

    MOC Orange Robot

Well, Hello everyone! I'm brand spanking new here, so if I'm doing anything wrong, please tell me! I've been lurking for several years now so I have sort of an idea of how things go here? Anyway, on to the topic at hand. I was fiddling with some orange curved bits I have, I think they were armor plates from this set, and thought they would make interesting legs for some sort of robot. So I loaded up LDD and put this together. Say hello to the very creatively named Orange Robot! He's very orange and looks a bit like he's wearing MC Hammer pants. What do you guys think of him? I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to post photos from LDD.
  10. Hello, CC small on Flickr For some time that I wished to build a real convertible. Well, I did not manage to hide a real removable roof in the back, but I am not dissatisfied with the result. Anyway, there is already a V6 engine in the trunk. LXF File - Here is the roof design. What do you think about? Thanks.

    MOC: Multi-Mover

Let's face it, walking mechs suck. They're unstable, they break down easily, and they cost more to repair. That's why we designed the new 69-series Multi-Mover, the wheeled mech that rolls right over the competition. You can't beat the Multi-Mover for mobility. Many wheeled mechs have trouble taking ramps without overbalancing or losing control, but our patented, fully-articulated leading truck guides the Multi-Mover smoothly over or around any sort of obstacle. When the end of the shift comes around, you're bound to want a bite to eat. Most companies make you leave your lunchbox behind, but the Multi-Mover comes complete with a dedicated secure niche for lunchboxes, or any other cargo you should want to store on board. Our innovative cockpit design allows full 360-degree view of your surroundings, vital when working in a busy warehouse or conducting salvage work on an inhospitable world. And when everything goes terribly wrong, you can rocket away to safety thanks to the built-in propulsion and detachable control platform. No other design can match the reach, range of motion, and sheer strength of the Multi-Mover's fork arm. You'll be able to add whole new levels to your storage shelves! Not every package can be handled by forks, though. For those who deal with M:Tron, we've included a magnetic gripper, and the Multi-Mover has one of our patented grabbers for those awkward packages nothing else will grip. Rest assured, the 69-series Multi-Mover will see you through thousands of hours of heavy hauling. And if it fails, we offer a five-Earth year unlimited warranty. Simply place the Multi-Mover back in its shipping crate and send it back to us with a note detailing the problem, and we'll deliver a replacement within 48 standard hours! So don't wait, visit www.spyriusindustries.com and make a purchase your employees and your banker will thank you for. And, to make it easier for you to put the Multi-Mover to work for you today, for a limited time only we are offering special easy-payment plans to suit your cash flow needs. Spyrius: You need it, we'll get it. (NOTE! This thread is a response to Lind Whisperer's Neo-Classic Space Loadlifter Mech. Anybody got a good idea for a Blacktron industrial mech? How about M:Tron? Or Ice Planet? Maybe Unitron? Bring it on! The cornier, the better.)
  12. I recreated the SDCC 1966 Batmobile from the one picture that is available, and than extended it to it's proper size. The included figs are the ones from the Juniors set. I have no clue what the real back looks like, so I guessed... if anyone has it could they please take a shot of the back of the model? Thanks in advance! I'm 99% sure Batman and Robin will fit... the cape won't allow me to put them in their spots in LDD. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1406164535m.lxf What do you think?

    [moc] LL-129 'CORVUS'

I'm loving the current "classic space" trend (Benny/ exosuit) and felt it was time to start expanding my NCS fleet. Presenting the concept plans for my next Federation starfighter: LL-129 'CORVUS' Hoping to have this one "brick-built" soon, hope everyone likes it! - As always feedback appreciated.
  14. Since the advent of Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! and (soon) LEGO Ideas Exosuit, It seems Classic Space with it's blue/grey/yellow colour scheme and logo is having a great comeback from the 70'ties. Apparently, the Classic Space Madness has also claimed me and my trusty copy of Lego Digital Designer, because I have remade one of my old spaceships to fit in the theme . And so, without any more ado, Ladies and Gentlebricks, I present to you, The N30-C5 Class Gunship: A fine vessel, Isn't she? Please note that It's a NEO Classic-Space MOC, built with many parts that weren't even in concept stage at the Classic Space era. For example the gargantuan canopy, covering the cockpit. Now Speaking of Cockpit...... Here it is, In all it's Trans-Yellow glory, there's a lot of place for the Pilot, the Captain, and an abundance of controlls and blinking lights. Behind Commanders chair, There's a Cargo Bay, and behind it we have...... GUNNERY STATIONS! These twin side cannons are operated by two crew members, and can swivel and rotate. Now I'm thinking, that With some modificatons (adding small rear thrusters), they could be used as detachable scout speeders. These dual plasma cannons can pack quite a punch to some Blacktron ship's hull, but they aren't the most powerful weapon on deck, which is.... The Ion Turret, Here in the delicate female hands of the First Officer. It's devastating firepower (for a gunship, of course), and 360 degrees rotation range, makes N30-C5 a flying space tank. This beastie, if charged to maximum power, can put a hole through a Fregate, but it's better to be careful, and not overcharge it. Other weapons include Flick Fire Torpedoes, Repulsors, Wing guns, and more, to cope with any situation. And no, the blue dome under the trans-yellow dome is not a astromech droid, it's the power shield generator, where do you think we are, Tatooine? ANYWAY, Lets talk about how this beauty moves across the outer space..... And Here we are, at the stern. The imposing Main engine is a masterpiece of engineering, and, It's also equipped with hyperdrive, I won't bore you with numbers and technical mumbo-jumbo, Just want to tell you that this monstrosity of a thruster is powered by a cold fusion reactor, which grants enough speed to flee away from a cluster of Insectoid fighters, not to mention Spyrius Interceptors... Despite It's vast arsenal and thick, titanium alloyed armour, N30-C5 still can meet a tougher adversary. This one particularly has many battle scars and bruises, but this gaping hole through which the reactor is peeking out is a serious problem. It got blown up by some rogue extra-terrestial saucer's blaster. Let's hope that necessary repairs are made as soon as possible. Now, who want's to see the inside of the ship? So, here it is, bird's-eye shot of the ship with removed roof. You can see the cockpit, the cargo bay & weapon storage, the gunnery station, and the reactor chamber. There's a lot of mercantile in the hold, mainly energy crystals traded from a remote M-Tron colony, and alien fossils excavated by some Explorien scientists. You can also see the maintenance robot, recharging it's battery, in other words SLACKING OFF. Get back to work you lazy piece of scrap! That hole in the reactor chamber won't patch itself! Finally, meet the Intrepid Crew! From Left to Right: Captain, Pilot, First Officer, two Gunners, and our lazy robot friend (Sorry for shouting at you, buddy ). I hope you Liked my little trbute to classic Lego Space theme. Goodbye, and have a good day fellow AFOLs. Eggy's out. PS. To any mods around, If my Images are too big please resize them.
  15. I decided to make this topic where I will post all my animations. So here's my first LDD animation, YMCA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq_YrYqyI9o Followed by my first serious Sonic animation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCMEdZCXKdo Later I made a GTA 5 reaction spoof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kmHCBpd_PA Continuing I made a technic animation for the [MINI] contest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrNi43Gn3_Q And here is my latest animation, which was a study into walking and making smooth movements. Each walking cycle uses 32 individual models to create smooth walking cycle:
  16. Hi all! I am working on The HMS Victory in Lego Digital Designer and I have ran into a slight problem. The Bow/ Bowsprit. I'm trying to make this model to scale with the (Real/models) of the HMS Victory. On the actually ship it looks as if the bowsprit goes out until about the second deck and starts to curve. So far with no luck, I have tried to create a Lego Bowsprit with the same design. Does anyone have ideas on how I can create a bowsprit that's (on scale) and has the design of the bowsprit of the HMS Victory.
  17. I have a problem and was wondering if the more experienced MOCists or collectors here on Eurobricks could help me with it. A while back, inspired by my love of My Little Pony and Lego, and by the financial opportunity of selling my own MOCs, I designed a large-scale (46 studs long/18 studs wide/31 bricks tall) sculpt of one of the main MLP characters on Lego Digital Designer, with the idea that I could potentially order the parts to build and even sell the model. The problem was that the main color for this character was Medium Lavender, and while I made sure that all the parts I used existed in that semi-rare color, I didn't check how many were available or how much they cost. When I finally went to try and calculate how much this model would cost, I found that I had inadvertently used 345 2x2 corner plates—not only an expensive part on Bricklink, but one that wasn't even available in those quantities from all the sellers combined! I want to try to make this model a reality, and ideally I'd want to cut costs to the point where I could buy the parts to make duplicates and sell them at a profit. But to do soI have to rebuild the model completely, keeping the same exterior surfaces but using only those parts which are available, and of those, the ones which are the cheapest option. Unfortunately, the only way I've found to do so is to try building each single-brick layer of the model using as many possible combinations of parts as I can, and then calculate to find which version is the cheapest—all while keeping in mind that there is a maximum number of parts I can use in that color. Given the size of this model, this is a long and tedious process. So I was wondering if there were a more time-effective way to build a model while taking individual part quantities and prices into account. Does anyone know anything that would help me in this endeavor?

[LDD] [MOC] 74 gun Ship of the Line WIP

Hi folks, actually I had planned not to build another ship before the start of the Pirates' Guilds. But then Sebeus' progress on his new frigate inspired me to take up my project of a new 74 gun design once again and deal with some hull issues... So, here goes, some WIP shots: The hull is build up in segments, connected by hinge plates, curved slopes (length two to four) shape the water line, side galleries are attached at the bottom this time, and I took Frank Brick Wright's advice about using telescopes for the balcony. My top concern about the hull in this state is, does it look too slim? The waterline lenght is 106 studs, the beam measures 26 studs. If so, should I rather shorten the ship, or widen it? Any kind of idea and feedback is most welcome! Thanks for watching.
  19. It's been a while since I last posted here. Recently I wondered what to build on the edge of a curved road. The space there is quite limited, so it is rather hard to construct an appealing building. I had a thought about a bavarian beer garden, but finally ended up with an alsatian wine inn. (Click on each thumbnail for a larger image.) The outer walls of the two-storeyed stone building are covered with vine tendrils. The outdoor range is separated from the street by an ironwork lattice covered with climbing plants. The kitchen is equipped with a wood-fired oven on the very right: Several spices dangle down from the top, and you can see a tarte flambée sizzling. The window allows the staff to serve cars directly. Left of it are some vessels with dips and sauces, such as mustard or mayonnaise, hanging from a pole. In front of it is a counter, containg a fridge with cold beverages. Left of it you may notice a fire extinguisher. And even more left you see the screen from the checkout. Upstairs is a double room with a fireplace and two bedside cabinets, each with a lamp. In front of a large flat TV is a cosy purple sofa. Both the pub room inside as well as the outdoor range invite you to enjoy a splendid wine and an opulent meal before relaxing upstairs. The last picture shows the pub room in detail with its heavy wooden seating on the left and some wine casks on the right. I have not thoroughly checked if all the parts used exist as real bricks in the respective colours, but apart from the copper ones most of them should at least exist in similar colours. If you want to examine this building in detail, you may download the LXF file here. But please be aware that I do consider this set as WIP, so maybe I'll change some details in the future and update that file without further notice.
  20. “We have located a site that might be suitable for the generator,” they said, “but our sensors can’t get a very detailed view of it. Go check it out” So here I am, surfing over the forest of the green moon in my TIE Bomber. And not a tiny bit regretful to be away from battle for this one time. I still need time since… since Sullust. Being away from war, some nature, no killing to do… that will surely clear my mind. My computer says I’m approaching my target location. Not much to see here, except form those tightly packed trees that populate this planet like skyscrapers on Coruscant, making it nearly impossible to reach most places. But they say this particular position offers some kind of tactical advantage. Well, let’s find out. Let’s ready some seismic bombs to clear the area to get a closer look. Let’s pull the trigger, and bombs away… A strange feeling overwhelms me… pulling that trigger… Two loud explosions resonate through the forest. It shivers and trembles as if it’s frightenend. When the last dry creaks and dust settle into silence, the wound becomes apparent. Like the footprint of a giant, all forest has fled away from a gaping patch of destruction. Slowly and carefully I manoeuvre my craft to my newly created landing site. I shut down the engines, and all is silent. [soNE Ep. V] Uprooted by Bert.VR, on Flickr From down here, the destruction becomes even more apparent. Frightened ferns have flocked together, while a once mighty tree got uprooted. Respecting the victims of this unfair battle, I silently unload the analysing equipment. Now it’s just waiting for the long analysis to end. The humming of the machine seems almost disrespectful in this perfect si- Snap [soNE Ep. V] The human in me by Bert.VR, on Flickr A strange, furry creature is staring at me from between the bushes. I must be staring back. The creature begins walking towards me, muttering, accelerating, raising its spear. It comes running at me, suddenly silent, with a look of determination. I already have my blaster in my hands, and I’m ready to pull the… No… not again… I’m acting on instinct now, but somehow something in me – the human in me - is powerful enough to set the blaster to stun just in time. And I pull. The creature stops, and with a look of anger crashes down on the ground. I’m deeply impressed. This might have been my very first shot where I wasn’t the victim of. Instead of blindly shooting, I finally did what is right. Not what’s right according to the instructor of the academy, but what feels right. I’ve spared the life of an innocent creature that had nothing to do with this war. This is what it feels like to be a hero. Heroes must be the ones that know when not to pull the trigger. It seems that I’ve done something good in this horrible war. That uncertainty of the past couple of months… gone. I am a good person after all. I almost want to thank that creature for attacking me… But why would it attack me? Sure, it might have been confused after the blast. Perhaps I destroyed a part of its home. But whatever it was, at least no one died today. No collateral damage this time. Instead, I gently put the unconscious creature in a bed of ferns. A beep from the analysing equipment indicates that it is time for a second sample. With a renewed bounce in my step, I begin to pull it to the other side of the landing site. I stop when I discover a path between the plants. This must be where the creature came from. It goes straight into the forest, until it’s blocked by that tree, where… It can’t be… It may not be… What have I done… My legs give away, and for who knows how long, I just sit there, staring into the distance. [soNE Ep. V] No... not again by Bert.VR, on Flickr I have killed once more. Another creature couldn’t get away in time and was buried beneath a tree. Only its tiny legs remain. And it’s my fault. This time, I caused a fluffy tragedy. I have become as despicable as those who I always despised. Who was I to think I’m a good person after all. This time, it wasn’t even a foe. Not even a friend. The creature had nothing to do with this war we’re fighting. It never accepted the risk of getting killed for its cause. And yet it perished in this war. They call it collateral damage. As if it is not at all important and can just be ignored. This creature, these trees with all the invisible but beautiful life. Just collateral damage. How absurd. Everything that I’ve been telling myself in the past is simply invalid. Nothing is trivial in a war. And not a thing that you do isn’t your responsibility. That’s the thing about war. You start and fight with only your goal in mind. And then you even begin to forget that and only think war… war… war… You don’t see what happens. Well, you don’t see what really happens. You’re not clearing a landing site. You’re destroying age-old fauna and flora. You’re not stopping the enemy. You take the life of a living being. You’re not a hero. You’re a monster. War clouds your mind with brutality. War is blinding. I kept telling myself I could go on with this war, as long as it didn’t involve direct battle. But I was wrong. How can I participate in such an act of collective and destructive blindness, even with trivial acts? This small… small and everything but unimportant event… it uprooted my entire way of thinking about this war. Just like this tree, it was firm once. But one big blast threw it over, causing death and destruction… On the other hand, once the dust has cleared up, new light reaches the soil, and new beautiful things get a chance to grow. Once, I firmly believed in the good of this war, perhaps even without any good reason. I shot, I bombed for it. And my own acts, my own shots I fired, my own bombs I dropped, blew me away. Seeing all the damage I’ve done, all the sorrow I’ve dealt, I lost those roots. And nothing but a wreck remains. Immobile, without any purpose. But new lights starts sipping into my mind. What good is it to leave this war? It will still be as destructive. That’s no way to repay for all that I’ve done. I must end this war without one spill of blood. War will be the only victim of my further deeds. Only then will all of this get a meaning. But how? How can I end this war without damage for my friends and without damage for my foes? What’s good for one, is bad for the other. It’s impossible. I’m just a simple pilot, I have no power. But what about these inspired moments... when I refuse to kill a creature that’s attacking me. Maybe not all is lost after all. When the new tiny plants bath in fresh sunlight, maybe then I will be strong enough to do something. But now, those little plants are fragile… and the eclipse of war is still glooming. But through losing my roots, I think I’ve finally found firm ground. I’m not happy. Just determined. But still sad. The data of the analysing equipment indicate that this site isn’t fit for construction. Maybe it’s for the better: this place might find rest again. But then what was the meaning of all this? That’s the question I have to answer. I feel weak. [soNE Ep. V] Firm ground? by Bert.VR, on Flickr ___________________ You can find the LDD file here EDIT: instructions for the TIe Bomber can be found at Rebrickable, if anyone would be interested. The build consists of 2377 bricks. The TIE bomber (including pilot) has exaclty 1000! I hope you enjoy it. Comments are more then welcome.

    Newspaper Kiosk - LDD MOC

An old styled newspaper kiosk, where you can buy drinks and sweets besides the newest papers and magazines. The building's roof can be removed and the walls opened up using hinges for better view/playability.
  22. An old-styled diner. I love these buildings and I hope you like how it turned out.
  23. hello my friends, Im a huge fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, so i try to build 2 of the more rare EVAs, that apear in de OVA "Rebuild of Evangelion 2.22 You Can (not) Advance" this is my first try on this kind of building, i made in LDD and render with Pov-Ray. i do not know if the models on real bricks can stand by it selfs, but i-me happy with this MOCs full articulation even on spine wite lots of ball joints, hinges and stuff :) hope you like it :)
  24. The evolution of my first LDD creation, Rx-013 Nova. Hope you like it!
