    MOC: Going Coastal

As contracted by Loreesi hero Mark of Falworth, the Outlaw Captain Claw and his crew "visits" the Lenfald coast, specifically an unsuspecting village close to the shore. Two Outlaws tagged along as unofficial members of Claw's crew: blade-wielding brawler Lute the Brute and crossbow-wielding archer Arrowhead. The village is by no means defenseless: After the Obsidian Seawing arrived, a group of Lenfaldi sentinels sprung into action.

    Cyricus the Mighty

Being one of the largest creatures ever to walk, or fly, the face of Roawia and carrying a Lenfel champion of great renown, the much older brother of the ill-fated Mindarus the Cunning seeks out the knight who slew his kin... I've had the idea for this guy in my head for awhile now. And I'm quite happy with how he turned out! Now I have to build a scene big enough to hold this guy. More pictures... Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
  3. This is my build for the fourth global challenge in the Lands of Classic Castle project. The tower is built off of click hinges, and while I have seen other towers built off of those, I haven't seen any in this design. The assignment was to rebuild a MOC by someone else in your own style: this was the build I was assigned to redo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lord_woodz/8395916474/in/pool-thelandsofclassiccastle/ And our factions are at war so I showed the tower under attack: More pics here: http://brickbuilt.tk/GC4.php All C&C appreciated

  5. A little something for the Outlaws faction of LCC! Wolf-person Captain Claw and his motley crew of outlaws enjoy plundering in their favorite ship! His crew consists of the following ruffians: An undead dwarf, a mysterious Orc warrior, a powerful witch and a skilled bandit archer. The hull. The "Clawssbow" flick-fire function in action. Merchant ships beware!
  6. Built for the Heroes Guild level Master 1 "Your hero presenting the treasure and slain beast to the king" Mark of Falworth was finally able to complete his journey across the vast expanse of the Galaphona desert. He arrived at the capital city and proceeded to the palace of Lorean to see the Prince Jarius, who he had not seen since his return to Loreos from the magic isles. "Greetings, noble prince! I have brought you a small keepsake from the island of lost souls!" "Greetings, Lord Falworth! The prince said warmly as he stepped from his throne. "Why, is that the head of the mighty dragon Mindarus the cunning!?" "Indeed it is, sire, but he was not so cunning as you would have thought... for I killed him with a trick of my sword." "My goodness Mark, you must have a grand time as you go gallivanting across the world as a knight errant. Slaying mighty dragons, and defeating your adversaries." The prince said with a smile. "Yes, 'tis a noble calling. But right at present I have no errant, and there is nothing I hate worse than inactivity..." "..And that is why I have come to you. There must be something I can do for the Glory of Loreos! Especially with war recently broken out. Perhaps I can assemble a fleet, and raid the coasts of Garheim? Or maybe lead a surprise expedition south to the swamps, and crush the outlaws while they are least suspecting it...?" "Hahaha! If every knight in Loreos was as keen for action as you, nephew, I should be king of Roawia in a fortnight." The prince thought for a moment. "...but I do have a very important mission I would like to set you on. Do you remember when I contracted an alliance with the house of Wenseclaus to secure peace between Loreos and Lenfald?" "Yes, I remember, But the High Lord Godfrey Wenseclaus II died not to long afterwards without an heir, there was much civil disorder as the nobles of Lenfald fought to straighten things out." "Your statement is true, except for one facet. Godfrey Wenseclaus II did, and still does, have a legitimate heir!" Mark took a step backwards in shock. "What!? That is impossible! The reports from Lenfald..." "...Are not always as truthful as they should be, Mark. This scandalous treachery is, no doubt, the work of the evil baron who tried to seize the province after the High Lord died. The true heir was being held prisoner in a small castle to the south of Isil Oro and he just barely managed to escape some weeks ago." "I can still hardly believe it!" Mark shook his head. "Where is the heir now?" The prince smiled. "In the hallway waiting for me to call him in." The prince rang a bell and the door at the end of the hall opened, and a tiny lad of about eleven-years-old skipped towards them. "Mark, allow me to present Lord Chartres Wenseclaus, the true heir to the province of Lenfald." 'Well, welcome to Loreos, Chartres. I hope you have found it pleasant so far?" "Indeed I have Lord Falworth, It is good to be among friends at last!" The prince continued. "I intend to reestablish young Chartres to his rightful place on the throne of Lenfald." "A wise move, Uncle. Such a step would greatly damage the reputation and the cause of the ridiculous imp Triphian." "Indeed, but I am certain that Triphian, having ruled Lenfald for some time, will not give up his title and position to one younger then himself. So we Loreesi must be the force of justice. And I intend to put my best man at the front of this planned restoration." Mark's puzzled expression allowed the prince to continue. "Yes, Mark. As one of my most warlike and powerful vassals you are a perfect choice for the job." "I will gladly serve in any way you need me to, Uncle. But could you be more specific? " "You will take charge of young Chartres, train him in warlike exercises, and lead a substantial force into Lenfald in an attempt to restore him, the true ruler, to the people of that province. A third of the army of Loreos will be at your disposal, that combined with your own extensive forces should be ample for anything you might choose to accomplish." "I could not refuse such a glorious mission! Thank you, Jarius!" "You are entirely welcome, Mark! I am glad to have such a weighty matter off my mind, now that I know everything humanly possible will be done. Godspeed." And with that the prince returned to his throne. Mark of Falworth turned to little Chartres. "Well, lad, it seems we have much work to do." "Indeed, Lord Falworth! I hope we shall be successful!" Chartres smiled beneath his freckles. "I believe we shall. But first... we must find you a good suit of armor." Mark winked. You can also see the pictures and read the story on Flickr! :) Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
  7. Made for the Fortify Lenfald Challenge in LCC. This is the home of Manek Asten and his wife Eleonora. Manek is a captain in the army of Lenfald and lives just outside the great city Stonewald. He has hired Pepin (my character) to oversee the construction of a stone wall around his home as war seems to be coming: More pics, including interior, here: http://brickbuilt.tk...sten's-Home.php Any C&C welcome
  8. Castle Bladefall by mpoh98, on Flickr For the 2013 MocAthalon Team Theocracy. Category: 29. Tropical Paradise. It's cold outside, as Old Man Winter takes his toll on everywhere we all dream of warmer places. Build a tropical paradise you'd rather be vacationing at. Will it be a tourist hot spot or a deserted island? It's up to you, with no size restrictions, and as always the more detailed and creative you are....the bigger the points! Bring some beauty and warmth to those of us who are shoveling snow! As soon as I saw this category, I knew where I would want to be vacationing at....A CASTLE! So here it is! Castle Bladefall was an old english castle, and held its own against many enemies. Now, in modern times, it has been turned into a hotel, and is a favorite vacationing spot, with hiking trails, beaches, and forests to play in. The drawbridge and portcullis have been turned into a stairway and massive door. It contains many gentle wild animals, and some not so gentle. It has horse riding, and many other fun activities. Soli Deo Gloria!
  9. Mark of Falworth

    A Humble Crossing.

Mark of Falworth returned from the Magic Isles with the infuriated Desert Prince, who promptly ordered his lords and vassals to fortify the province from any outside attack. Like many other Loreesi nobles, Mark traveled north to the border of Lenfald. Moving along the river that served as the dividing line between the nations, Mark and his companions found a small and overlooked bridge. One of the knights remarked, "We could destroy this bridge, but then our cavalry would have even fewer places to cross over. Yet if we leave it be, the Lenfels or Garhims could have a whole army over this bridge and into Loreos in a day. What shall we do?" Mark replied with a broad smile. "Change the bridge so that we may cross at any time yet prevent our neighbors from doing the same. " "But how shall we do that?" "I will show you, step by step." A freebuild intro to my LC IX entry. Thanks for viewing and have as great day!

    (LCC) The Purge Conclusion.

The backstory. The three "good" factions in Roawia, (Garheim, Lenfald, and Loreos) decided to join forces and "purge" the magic islands of their evil inhabitants, but things do not always go as planned... Prince Jarius of Loreos stormed into the agreed-upon meeting place, fuming at the lack of support in the latest battle. The Loreesi had gone forward with the attack, expecting reinforcements from their Lenfald and Garheim allies, but had been mowed down and slaughtered when none came to their aid against the heathen foe. He strode up to Lord Triphian and Jhirian Eindrik. He pierced their eyes with his flaming gaze. "How is it that the Loreesi must fight alone, while their allies bask in the shade?! I lost 300 of my best knights, while you all relax!" The Lenfel Lord, replied hotly "I remember nothing about being asked to help thee fight this battle! And If you had brought more soldiers, you wouldn’t have to beg for our help so often!" The now-infuriated prince unsheathed his sword in a flash, and it would have come to blows but for Jhirian Eindrik. Silent until this moment, he boomed "Now this is insupportable! Stay thine arm, desert prince, for you are among equals!" Piqued, Lord Triphian yelped "I can defend mine own self, thou over-bearded Garhim!" Jhirian Eindrik did not reply, but turned a deep shade of purple and sent the Lenfel leader a smoldering glare. Enraged, Jarius charged from camp and ordered all the remaining Loreesi troops to immediately depart from the magic isles... The attempted purge was over as soon as it had begun. Now more serious problems have arisen... war looms once again on the horizon of Roawia. ________________________________ I was also experimenting with taking a picture of a LEGO MOC with a real life background. That's right. No editing. Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

  13. Follow Them! A hunting party chases some retreating Outlaws and magical creatures into the mountains up an old gated mountain pass. While the lesser creatures flee, some brave (but foolish) Black Knights try to stand their ground inside the ruins of the old outpost that once protected the pass. Please excuse the image quality, my camera is being repaired and I had to take them with an iPhone. Flickr Gallery

    Some of Castle MOCs

Hey all I am new to these forums but am quite active on both Flickr and classic-castle. I just wanted to share some of my latest creations as a way to introduce my self. Illianaro Castle The Stirrings of War Enjoy!
  15. Built for the Heroes Guild of LCC, Level: Journeyman(2) "Your hero slaying a monster." Mark of Falworth won a major victory in the Siege of Lost Souls, The Outlaws were thrown from the massive walls and the fierce Dragon was finally forced to flee before the swarms of knights. The casualties were numerous on both sides. And the Castle was soon abandoned by the crusaders as they didn't want to leave a garrison behind in enemy territory. A fortnight later, Mark of Falworth and his companions Vaasco Suariz and Gonsaluus Petri (both valiant knights of the realm) were on a simple reconnaissance mission, when they spotted a huge object in the sky. They quickly realized it must be a Dragon, indeed it was the very one they had faced only a little while ago. It was careening right towards them! Vaasco shouted, "Forsooth, my liege! Let us with due expedience make our way towards yonder thicket that we mayest avoid the fierce Dragon, which would seek to do us grievous ill!" "Nay," replied Mark, "For yonder dragon did accept battle on my terms, so will I accept battle on his terms..." Gonsaluus interrupted, "But sir, verily even the bravest of knights would not dare to battle a dragon single-handedly, especially considering every knight's life is needed for the cause." “Thou speakest wisely Gonsaluus, but this dragon, surnamed ‘the cunning’ for his shrewdness of brain, can still be defeated by clever stratagem.” Mark winked at his companions, then dismounted from his horse in one fluid motion and marched alone towards the beast. The dragon, with a great flurry of its wings, landed a few yards away and breathed a blast of flame at the knight. But Mindarus the dragon was too far away for the fire to have any effect. Especially since Mark of Falworth was clad head-to-foot in steel plate armor... Mark jeeringly called out to the monster, "I bid thee good day, fine fellow. But, sink me, I cannot feel the heat of your fire! are thou still out of breath from the beating I gave you two weeks ago?" Hearing this rebuff, The Dragon lunged forward with a furious snarl, And inhaled deeply so as to scorch Mark to a crisp! Mark leaned back as if about to be struck... And at that instant, just before the Dragon breathed forth the flame, he hurled his sword straight into the throat of the vile creature! The monster reared back in shock and pain. Then, turning its head to the heavens, let loose a roar which shook the earth for miles around as blood and fire shot towards the sky. With a low moan and a deep shudder, the beast slammed into the earth, its head at the feet of the triumphant knight. As the brightness faded from the dragon's eyes, Mark said "Take no offence, sir dragon, But thine head will make a most worthy present to the King." And so the evil dragon, Mindarus the Cunning, was defeated by the equally cunning Mark of Falworth For the Glory of Loreos! Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
  16. I want to show you my entry to the first round of the LCC Global Contest III: Paul von Brickenstein is preparing his fleet to beat the wizards living on their islands. The Magic Islands are far away so they probably need a lot of food and rum. And some weapons would be also helpful. But what will happen at the Magic Islands ? Are weapons out of steel and wood powerful enough to beat these mighty wizards ? There will be another MOC about fighting the wizards on their islands in about two weeks to continue the story ! You can see pictures in high resolution at my Photostream

  18. Purging the Magic Isles - Fighting in the War Room Leaders and soldiers of all Provinces of Roawia meet in the old War Room in the ruined city of Elavia in the Mountains of Lenfald to discuss the impending attack on Outlaw territory. -- The following accompanying story requires some knowledge of the geography and history of Roawia Map of Roawia War is upon Roawia, the fight against magic reaches another peak with the campaign to purge the Magic Isles. All of Roawia prepares for war, but Outlaw spies are all over the provinces, gathering information on troop strength and plans. To keep the secret plans of attack from falling into the wrong hands, a meeting is set in the recently reclaimed ancient City of Elavia, high in the western mountain range. Representatives of all the provinces gather in this formerly lost and remote location to discuss and coordinate what is to be the strongest strike against the Outlaws since the last Outlaw Campaign. Tempers run high as this new war requires more coordination than ever - although Loreos has the largest cavalry, only Lenfald has ships large enough in size and numbers to bring them in force to the remote island. Garheim obviously felt left out and Jhirian Eindrik himself came to the meeting to assure the assistance of the his light infantry. Much more has to be discussed, as most of Garheim's army and Lenfald's Navy is stationed on the western shores of the continent, and sailing around Cape Murkwood and through the Sea of Treachery in the south exposes the leads the fleet too close to some of the strongest Outlaw ports. The future of Roawia depends on whether consensus can be achieved and differences between the provinces can be overcome in this secret meeting. It is a proud moment of history that the old Lenfel War Room, used to plan wars against Garheim and Loreos in the past, now becomes a meeting place for to fight a common foe. ----- Flickr Gallery
