  2. Hello! This time I combined two classic sets, Pirate Treasure 1873 and Smuggler's Shanty 6258. This is a small island where life goes on and there are traces of greed and a few skeletons to show for it. There are also several hiding places to stash your loot, gold bars and gold coins. Soldiers about to dock bring the pirates their pay for a job well done. On the island there is a fisherman who sells his wares, a tavern of course, a shelter for the captain, a defensive cannon to keep out intruders, at least until the pirates escape. But are there still drunks lying on the beach who can't understand how the rum ran out again? And let's not forget the old man pushing his wages on the little cart, waving to the barman that he'll soon be able to pour another batch of wine. Flickr Instagram
  3. Rapid deployment, rapid success. The Imperial Boarding Craft (Rapid Boarding) is, despite its bulk, a fairly maneuverable craft capable of delivering troops and heavy infantry equipment to almost any target. Outfitted as a small armory, it can be used to breach an enemy position, and then facilitate further troop landings with support from the weapons within. Armed with two laser cannon turrets and equipped with magnetic clamps, boarding charges, and laser cutters, along with its decent troop capacity, this vehicle can pack a punch like the warhead it resembles. Originally a way to get into the craft, the cockpit section can come off. I decided to make it able to turn into a small repulsorlift scout flyer. It's unarmed, but could be modified to carry light weapons on the side, and I was able to put some cargo on the back, although I wasn't able to put a proper 'truck bed' in the back like I wanted to because of structure necessities. Although the model only has nine Stormtroopers, you could almost double that number, and maybe even squeeze in a few more (although I couldn't in Stud.io because posing a figure isn't as fine-tuned as IRL). There's an E-Web, a small power generator, a rocket launcher, a pair each of DLT-19 and T-21 blasters, thermal detonators, mortar shells, and an ion weapon; along with a couple cargo boxes. Everything can be removed, and other items placed in those spots. Unfortunately, I don't think a figure will fit along the sides, even sitting down. The landing gear work, though you have to remove some small plates from the underside to fully extend them.
  4. At first when the images for the Imperial Light Cruiser were released at first I was very excited, because I didn't have a Star Destroyer style ship, but once I looked more closely, I was quite disappointed at how it looked. I understand it's a playset first etc, but the biggest issues to me were how wide the front gap was and how high the bridge was. Mixing between the Arquitens and the 546 Cruiser is understandable at this scale, especially if using promo images etc, but the proportions were so off for both. I also wanted to retain the DNA of being a "LEGO playset" and I felt the back half of the ship made poor use of space. 20220119_224320 by Sam Szeto, on Flickr 20220119_222455 by Sam Szeto, on Flickr 20220119_220934 by Sam Szeto, on Flickr 20220119_221542 by Sam Szeto, on Flickr The TIE Fighter launcher has been taken out and the front gap is smaller and has trans blue tile details. The spine is now 3 studs wide and the bridge is lower. I refuse to use stickers so for the windows I represented them with clips. The ship is already very sturdy and can be "swooshed" by holding the sides so personally I didn't see the need for the handle taking up all the space in the bridge (and making the proportions off). The bridge is held on with 2 studs and inside there is enough space for a couple of figures sitting down. I haven't decided what to do with it but it will either be Dark Trooper storgage or Grogu's cell. I wanted to keep the spirit of being a playset so I tried to find a way to add a Dark Trooper drop mechanism but due to the large wedge tiles making up the base, there was no room for an opening door. You can also see I have tried to angle the ship behind the docking bay a bit more. I used a mix of artistic license between the Arquitens, class 546 and the shape of the set to compromise. 20220119_220717 by Sam Szeto, on Flickr Interior remains the same, with a few different consoles. [MOC] Midi-Scale TIE Advanced

As an absolute fan of the original trilogy, I had to build more Empire ships in Midi-Scale. I decided to start with my favorite TIE model, the TIE Advanced. This 496-piece TIE Advanced features a fully SNOT and detailed surface. It also includes rear engine thrusters at the back of the cockpit dome. Most importantly, being able to design smooth but razor thin wings was the key to making this build look proportionate and realistic. The same applies for the rear section of the fuselage which, being only 1 tile-high, ended up looking just a thin as the original prop model. Logically, the ship scales well to my previous TIE Reaper - I'll keep exploring more of these in the same scale, and maybe one day have a whole fleet of Midi TIE ships! ► Instructions will be available at Rebrickable soon. [MOC] Midi-Scale TIE Reaper

Hey everyone, I'm glad to present you my latest Midi-Scale MOC, the TIE Reaper from Rogue One. The TIE Reaper drew my attention when I discovered Doug Chiang’s wonderful concept art of the ship. The typical empire-like, aggressive and angular look of it instantly reminded me of my favorite vehicles from the movie. The main features of this design are: fully SNOT build from top to bottom, accurate proportions, studio model / prop look, removable stand and working ramp. Getting all the very complex angles and shapes, while maximizing the SNOT look, led to a very intricate Midi-Scale build. My main goal wasn’t “swooshability”, but making a convincing, display-only build. Although not intended for play, it can be easily moved around with or without its stand, and safely held from below. ► Instructions for the TIE Reaper are available at Rebrickable or via email at flyinspace.mocs@gmail.com More pictures on my Flickr page.

Consolidated under seven high ranking imperial warlords, this new Imperial Remnant had taken refuge in the deep core, and the unknown regions, in order to regroup and rebuild. History The Imperial Triumvirate was just the beginning. The first victory of many. From the embers of the Imperial Triumvirate, a new order rises; The Imperial Consortium. Organization THE RULING COUNCIL The leadership of the Imperial Consortium consisted of a league of high-ranking imperial officers, warlords, and moffs. This league was formalized in the form of a ruling Council, aligning and overseeing matters across the individual imperial remnants, fleets, and assets. Although consolidated under a united leadership, each warlord still maintained a large degree of autonomy of their remnant. SPECIAL FORCES Although subjugated to the Galactic Concordance, the Imperial Consortium continues to carry out sinister schemes and plots to restore the former glory of the Empire. Most of these activities are covert and highly secret, calling for highly trained commando soldiers, and other special forces. You could find yourself among this elite, carrying out pivotal missions coming from the very top of the Imperial Consortium. TROOPERS Training of new stormtroopers has been banned, but training of security personnel and repurposing old stormtrooper gear works just as well. The army, navy, and security troopers are still the backbone of the Imperial Consortium. ANCILLARY PERSONNEL In order to make the wheels keep turning, ancillary personnel are vital. This includes cargo pilots, scientists, manufacturers, operations officers, clerks, and the list keeps on going. Although this group does not make it to the recruitment posters, these professionals are vital to the various operations. Territory The Imperial Consortium has withdrawn to the Deep Core Security Zone, and various fortress worlds in the Unknown Regions. Here the new imperial order will further secure their strongholds, and once more expand the Imperial borders, to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Inventory In this section you will find various custom printable accessories free to use in your creations. Banners and Pauldrons can be printed on regular paper, and carefully cut out (They don’t last long, but they look pretty good if you don’t move them too much). Stickers are a little more tricky, since you need glossy sticker paper in order to get the same look and feel as real lego stickers. If you have any questions or ideas for new accessories, please feel free to PM Darth Bjorn. Frequently Asked Questions HOW DO I JOIN? Send a PM to the faction leader @shockwave_bricks, explaining why you wish to join the Imperial Consortium! Sign up now! The empire needs you! WHAT SHOULD MY BUILDS LOOK LIKE? As a faction rising from the remnants of the Galactic Empire and building on the same values, you should aim for a style that resembles imperial architecture, starships, crafts and equipment - like imperial garrison bases, imperial star destroyers or even AT-ATs and AT-STs. These could be heavily modified and improved since they might be salvaged or repurposed. Your special forces squad or stormtrooper squad could also be carrying out missions to various planets, giving you an opportunity to build a wide variety of Star Wars landscapes. WHERE CAN I BUILD? The Imperial Consortium is constantly expanding its territory. Above you will find a map of sectors, systems and hyperlanes accessible to the faction. You are allowed to build anywhere in the Star Wars galaxy, but only by building in accessible systems can you earn Influence Points (IP = System Control) for your faction. In order to further the faction's territory, all members of the Imperial Consortium is encouraged to earn IPs for the faction. Members of the Imperial Consortium can build in any system, where the faction has control or a presence (red regions, grids, and systems). Members can also build on any system along the red hyperlanes. HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE RULING COUNCIL? The Imperial Consortium offers many different roles, but only few make it to the high chains of command. The Ruling Council is the supreme leadership, run by the TIC moffs. Only players who have shown exceptional commitment to the faction, will be considered for one of these seven seats. Below are a few pointers as to ways that would improve your chances at being considered for this promotion. Completing some or all of these tasks below, to a good standard, will improve your chances to catch the eye of your faction leaders, and your chances at getting promoted to the rank of Moff of the Imperial Cosortium. 13. The Y-45 armored transport hauler, also known as AT hauler, built by Kuat Drive Yards and used for the Galactic Empire, with its very agressive and intimidating design, was a great Midi-scale challenge. Accurately Microfig-scaled (or trophy-scaled), and made of 623 pieces, this MOC features all the typical angles and details of the original cargo ship: agressive cockpit shape, intricate wing angles, lower bridge with its guard-rails and stairs, ion engines and magnetic clamps, holding on a single, secure Lego stand. With very simple connections, both arms can be installed upwards to put the ship in landing mode. ► Instructions for the AT Hauler are available at Rebrickable or via email at flyinspace.mocs@gmail.com More pictures on my Flickr page.
  14. *This entry has earned 15 XP* Description - The air was humid and hot - moisture getting in everything. Under our armor. Our equipment. Underneath our skin. It was unbreathable, a layer of heat, fog, and sweat. Jokes aside, the jungle was a rotten place, monkey's shrills stinging our ears, and the ground squelching with every step. Obviously, the squad was here for a reason - to put an end to this nonsense. Pirates, mercenaries, and bandits who were working alongside our men decided they had enough of Imperial regiment and order. Hell broke loose. They claimed that the Imperial way was inflexible and rigid, that it had little room for fun. In other words, those womprats couldn't do anything their way. We couldn't agree more, however, the greater interests of the Empire awaited. The mission was to eliminate the traitors and those who stood in the way. All costs necessary - which of course included trekking through swamps and beaten down paths towards our targets, each miserable step dragging us and our pride down. Closeup Shots -

Still, a few critical surface locations remained. Interplanetary space around Iridonia was also under tight lockdown. Ships had either been forced to ground, or obliterated. Only a lucky few had evaded the star destroyers, and escaped the system. The next operation objective was to secure a number of individuals with various importance to the Imperial Triumvirate. One of these was Senator Ay’Pelia. Director Hollon had tracked her to the Genesis Station. A safeport operating as a sovereign state, between Iridonia and the New Republic. 20. *This entry has earned 8 XP* After running into a few minor complications, we had successfully infiltrated the separatist's main facility, located in the northern hemisphere of the currently battle-heavy planet. This was originally used as a mining facility before the Seps took over it, so they had easy access to areas all over the planet, thanks to the many delivery rails than ran throughout, this we realised is what gave them the advantage over the course of time they were there, although rather than transporting minerals, they were transporting weaponry and battle droids to different locations that provided them will the strategical advantages, such as launching surprise attacks on outposts we had previously conquered. We had just entered the cargo storage when a huge explosion appeared overhead, looking onwards, we saw Nemodian's and battle droids of all variants approaching our position, this was going to be a tough one.
  21. The Imperial Watchtower is up to Version Four, on 28th June 2021. Imperial Watch Tower Version Four by R Y, on Flickr Imperial Watch Tower Version Four by R Y, on Flickr After building my Grand Castle MOD by deconstructing the second Medieval Castle, I was left with the rocky green base from the gatehouse, a staircase and a bottom of a battlement, plus some wall sections and what seems like a lot of spare pieces at the time. Instead taking those apart and sorting them out, I thought why not build something instead. From building four towers, and studying the instructions of B Model, I decided to use that experience and knowledge to build an Imperial watchtower, overlooking an waterway or the sea. MOC Imperial Watchtower 31120 by R Y, on Flickr I used the 8x16 brick yellow plate as the base, the dark azure plates surround it to create the coast and two olive green half circle plates for grass lands. I know that each level will be six bricks. I have three 4x8 dark tan plates to build as the cliff top, a 2x4 dark tan plate will be the base of the staircase also connecting the 4x8 half round olive green plate to the 8x16 tan plate. Using this knowledge I can gauge how far to build the cliff base from the edge of the plate, ten studs long, I still don’t know if I have enough pieces, I used inverted slopes where possible, placing the flat face on the outside. The two reddish brown 1x5x4 arch pieces are sitting on a combination 1x4 light bluish gray arches and 1x4 2 studs plates, and 1x6 dark blue tiles completes the steps. MOC Imperial Watchtower 31120 by R Y, on Flickr The tower is built like the original LEGO model, 6x6 studs side by side. I had six dark bluish grey panels left, they made up the walls with other bricks bordered by 1x1 round bricks. A black door frame was removed from the yellow wooden keep to make the entrance. I also have four 1x2x2 castle windows left as I removed them from my Grand Castle MOD, I needed black lattice diamond pane for the yellow keep. I was still short on dark bluish gray bricks so I needed to have more opening. I designed a bow window recess to free up a wall of dark bluish gray bricks, using reddish brown round corner windows and light bluish gray round corner macaronis, sitting on two inverted slopes, a dark blue slope and corner slopes for the roof. I really like the bow window recess as it provides a 180 degree view out to the sea. I managed to build up a two floor tower, again using inverted slopes to make up the numbers. I used the beautiful gargoyle design from LEGO model B, two are facing out to the sea, acting not only as elongated water sprouts directing water into the sea, they protect the tower from evil spirits. I introduced a bit of colour using the SNOT yellow wattle and daub panels sitting on two inverted brackets, I put one blue and one white 1x1 tooth plate to act as coat of arms on the yellow door sign. This made the tower ground floor one stud taller than the six bricks height of others. I didn’t initially use the dark tan 6x6 plates as the tower is enclosed, but realised they are required to provide structural rigidity to the body of the tower. MOC Imperial Watchtower 31120 by R Y, on Flickr MOC Imperial Watchtower 31120 by R Y, on Flickr That was my first watchtower attempt after many rebuilds, moving the light and dark bluish gray pieces around so at least the opposite walls on each level has the same colour and brick patterns. MOC Imperial Watchtower 31120 by R Y, on Flickr The next day, my mate was asking me about the Grand Castle MOD that I posted here, are the walls of the yellow wattle and daub building facing the great tower blocked off with bricks, or was it open access? I said it was open access on the first floor, closed on the second floor; then it dawned on me I can remove the two panels on the second floor, and possibly build up a third level. However, I still don’t have enough gray pieces. I know I have sacrificed the trebuchet design many times already, what is one more time… well, I had to take it apart completely this time. The counterweight provided the gray pieces, the frame provided five reddish brown tiles to swap out the dark blue ones on the staircase, two reddish brown 1x4 bricks were swapped into the roof of the keep for two dark bluish gray ones to go into the Imperial watchtower, four 1x1x5 solid studs and one 6x6 plate became the core of the roof. Two reddish brown arches went to the ground floor wooden columns to match the arches from first and second floor inside the yellow keep. Two 1x12 bricks are used on the cliff top to free up more grey bricks. As the tower got higher, I had to increase the height of the corner buttresses to balance it; they went from two bricks high, to three, and finally four, 2x2 corner bricks are used as I do not have enough 2x2 bricks. I moved the tower one stud inside the cliff, due to the round corner window piece broke up the line of light bluish gray edge, which is visually displeasing and break in weight transfer. Moving the whole tower in by one stud allows me to continue the edge from top down to bottom, with the brown window frame siting on the outside of the 1x1 round bricks, they are linked by two 1x2 round plates. One extra stud of space allowed me to create a nicer dark blue roof with a plate of yellow underneath. I had to take another black door frame from the yellow keep, on the second floor facing the tower, to support the back buttresses. I tend to hold the tower on the buttresses; as the bow window recess, built with 2x2 round corner bricks, is no longer in between the 2x2 bricks, the force of my finger grip would push in the buttresses and nearly collapsed the whole towel; the door frame solved this issue, a simple but very effective fix. The big 1x4x3 window with two pearl gold pane are used to provide the big opening on the third floor, I was literally on the last usable small gray pieces when it was built, the stepped pattern of dark and light bluish gray bricks is for looks and also due to the lack of bricks. MOC Imperial Watchtower 31120 by R Y, on Flickr Imperial Watchtower by R Y, on Flickr I wanted a pavilion roof originally, but do not have any 3x3 corner pieces left, so made to do with a dark blue gable roof. I was also short of a 1x2 yellow brick for the gable ends, so had to take one from the keep roof, replaced it with a yellow technic holed brick, hidden away from view. Dark blue 3x2 slopes stacked on top of each other with a 2x4 brick inside for support completed the roof with one flag on each gable. So here it is, after many rebuilds, my Imperial Watchtower made from the spare pieces of my Grand Castle MOD of 2 x 31120 Medieval Castle. Please share your thoughts on comments! 22. *This entry has earned 20 XP (x2 LTC Bonus Applied)* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: Our efforts on Altor 14 was little more than a formality in order to establish control of the sector. We did not expect major resistance from the locals. This made the mission perfect to test out our newly acquired Virgillia-class Bunkerbusters. The reports should be interesting...
  23. *This entry has earned 24 XP (x2 LTC Bonus Applied)* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: For a long time there had been no communication with the Imperial remnant on Svivren. Not until Triumvirate troops entered the streets of Wrils. It was no surprise that the local commander chose to relinquish his command and let his forces absorb into the Imperial Triumvirate. With our successful arrival on Svivrem, I could now focus on my personal mission...
  24. *Your entry has earned 12 xp* Given the recent attacks on Muunilinst by state-sponsored mercenary forces, the Dantooine garrison of the Pentastar Patrol has been on high alert. Captain Pavay walks the local farmsteads with a few patrol troopers (both of whom forego the full stormtrooper facemask, per garrison policy). He greets the farmers amicably and makes sure everyone is doing well, answering any questions and assuaging any concerns. The Captain has been walking this track for a number of weeks now; the farmers are happy enough to see the man, who in their eyes has become something of a local sheriff. While the Pentastar Alignment is, at its core, an Imperial Remnant, there are many among its ranks who seek to create the Empire as it should have been: a strong government protective of its citizens, providing for a grateful populace with the strong arm of justice. No less authoritarian, but precise, intelligent, and benevolent, not cruel or wasteful. Pavay is one of these "visionaries," a term used distastefully by certain members of the cabinet. Whatever their opinions, the loyal citizens he protects know they have nothing to fear. MORE PHOTOS Thanks for looking!
  25. *Your entry has earned 4 xp* It's been a while since the Battle of Hoth ended. And yet there are still a few rebels living there. The new republic has little interest in this planet, and their neglect will cost them death. Hoth returns to the Triumvirate by right, so we are going to exterminate the last forces that are hiding there. Cpt Jacen Opins - You are the last little one and I have no time to waste with you or with your rebellious friends. To flee is really a sign of cowardice, the new republic is cowardly! Did you really think you could run away to alert the new republic at the risk of your life? They won't know anything, Sergeant, kill him, he's of no use to us. And take its beacon and its access codes, the republic's files can still be valuable in case we need to infiltrate their high command. Enough talk, fire !!!!!
