Bannon’s log: In order to assess if it was worth establishing a mining operation on Devaron, we had made a deal with the Mining Guild division of the Duluur sector. Their task was to extract a core sample from the planet, and analyse it. Miner Oli 'Digs' Fello: HEY! Guys! Could i get a hand with this thing!? It's kriffing heavy! All this work for dank poodoo! Miner Grawf 'heavy' Jaster: Little busy here kid! These roots grow back faster than a Swoke Swoke's tail! Miner Dral'gof 'Dofer': Puni humies... Hrmpff!! Supervisor Kree'sh: Looksssh not good sshsir! Shthe samplesssh ssshow no signsssh of valuable mineralssssh... Foreman Donka Fuul: Karabast! The commander will not be happy about this! /// I had a lot of fun with the Mining Guild in this entry - a shame they're not more active - I'd love to do more with them... From left to right: Random Rodian security officer. Dral'gof 'Dofer': A male Klatoonian. Primarily used as muscle on smaller prospecting missions. Supervisor Kree'sh: A male Trandoshan, and main supervisor of the Devaron prospect site. Foreman Donka Fuul: Male Devaronian, and local foreman of the Duluur division of the Mining Guild. Miner Oli 'Digs' Fello: human male, and youngest member of the crew. This also means Digs is thrown head-first into every dark hole that needs sampling. Imperial Eras

    What's your favorite Imperial era? 1500s - 1800s?
  3. *Your entry has earned 21 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: Since I was already in the system, high command tasked me with a covert operation on the planet Gorse. The mission was to infiltrate a New Republic thorilide refinery, and plant a transmitter spike for future operations. This was usually a mission for a small crew like Reaper Squad, but ever since Nadiri, and Rae Sloane’s strike on Gorse, New Republic security has tightened. This meant I was to spearhead a diversion, disguised as a diplomatic mediator between Zeltron suppliers and the refinery boss, while Reaper Squad and a stormtrooper platoon from the 88th infiltrated the installation. Cdr. Bannon: Greetings Dr. Sihlbar. I’m here to deliver a message from Minister Freyi An’zeli. The two New Republic security officers flinched as Cdr. Bannon held out a small holoprojector, and a beautiful (by humanoid standards) flickering figure came to life mid-air… Minister Freyi: Dr.! I will dispense of the pleasantries and get straight to business. For too long have you and your new government exploited the hospitality of Zeltron. We will block all baradium shipments rerouted from the Zel system until you agree to Cdr. Bannon’s terms… The Zeltron paused for a moment... Minister Freyi: Should you choose not to agree, Zeltron will turn to the aid of the Imperial Triumvirate! The Mon Calamari Dr. looked from side to side, blinking a few times before muttering… Dr. Sihlbar: Tshis es non negoseable? Tshe New Rebublic does not answer to imperial threatsh. A transmission crackled through to Cdr. Bannon’s hidden ear-pierce… Lt. Sin Veruna: Commander. I’m in position. Ready to take out the scum on your signal! ' Cdr. Bannon turned his attention to the Mon Calamari... Cdr. Bannon: You can kiss your Baradium supply goodbye. Lt. Delp Wep: Not s-so hasty. A renegotiation of the agreement with Zeltron sh-should take place with the Gorse refinery administration, not with the refineries directly. I suggest you make an appointment with the board. We can escort you to the administration building. Cdr. Bannon: That won’t be necessary! The Commander nodded, and the low muffled sound of two silent sniper bolts - PZZHAM - BZZHAMM - is drowned out by the mechanical hum of the refinery... Some moments before on top of platform nine... Lt. Fell Vreach: Fell here! Had to put a runner down. I have another engineer top-side. He’s quiet for now. Meanwhile on the basin walkway... Maj. Raath Hagar: This is Raath. We’ve unlocked the back entrance. We’ll enter the installation from here and from the sewer drains below. And below in the basin... Srg. Wellen (TK-6382): Quiet! Get into the drain quickly, but keep it down! We have live ones at the basin. /// Man this build took some time, and it was testing me at times. It may seem a bit messy with all the characters, but I wanted to exploit all the possible scenes in the build... Also this build served as a proving ground for some techniques I want to incorporate in future builds... I hope you enjoy it, and as always I'd love to hear your honest feedback! Below you'll find some behind-the-scenes shots:
  4. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* Excerpt from Director Hollon’s log: Before leaving Virgillia 7, I had one last stop to make. My so-called friend, a high ranking member of the VFA leadership, had agreed to meet outside Zeta Compound. This could be very interesting… General Gilror: Director! You are not welcome here! The Empire is dead! In the last 48 hours, we have neutralised three of your recon squads, and I’ve just been informed that a shuttle has crash landed in the southern region! We are mobilizing a full blockade of the planet, and we will eliminate any imperials trying to enter this system. The general pauses and lowers his voice... General Gilror: I will let you go, but I have certain conditions! Captain Kirdef: Sir! That’s against VFA law! Any imperials must stand trial before… The captain is cut off by the general... General Gilror: Don’t lecture me on the law I helped make! Director! We have several of your men in custody awaiting execution. General Gilror: If you agree to these conditions, and leave this system, we will set your men free. Director Hollon: General. You have my word. We will withdraw from this system immediately. Director Hollon takes the data pad, turns around, and walks away… Director Hollon: Prepare my shuttle for departure! DT-F36: Yes Sir! /// A small little build to tie some storylines together... In canon, the Virgillian Free Alignment (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Virgillian_Free_Alignment) is a strong supporter of the New Republic, so in order to be true to canon, and that Virgillia is able to support the Resistance in the future, the Imperial Triumvirate influence on the system is not military might, but rather deep undercover agents in the VFA... Stay tuned...
  5. *Your entry has earned 36 XP* Interlude: Even though the outlaw regime patrolled the entire system, we had managed to land three ground reconnaissance squads. After losing contact with our last squad, it was clear that the Virgillians were alerted to our presence. In a last effort to salvage whatever intel our squads had intercepted, we sent in one of our best ISB officers. Director Hollon and his guard squadron quickly located the downed AT-ST, in the rocky flats near Vladamar’s Ridge. DT-F36: Director, no bodies on site. Director Hollon: Mmh… Casualties on both sides... Check the walkers comms log. I want to know if they took any prisoners... Looks like the outlaws have the same taste in military ordnance, as the rebel scum we fought on Sullust… DT-F36: Patching into the comms log now. *btzzzh-klitczzzzz-dzzeeee* DT-F36: Rerouting logs to your datapad Director. Director Hollon: Good! I'll have a closer look later. Prepare the shuttle! I want to visit an old friend before we leave this rock… /// Damn, wrecks are hard... Let me know what you think...
  6. *Your entry has earned 9 XP* Onboard the Imperal Super Star Destroyer, The Resurrector - Conference Room Several Imperial senators and commanders stand around a black conference table. Imperial stormtroopers stand guard around the room. Senator Vancar, a hip slimy-looking Senator, is speaking. Senator Vancar: Until the traitors are dealt with we are vulnerable. The New Republic is getting information from high ranking members of the Imperial Triumvirate. They’re a bigger threat than you realize. Even the Mandalorians see this as their moment to retaliate! The bitter Moff Pantoloc shifts nervously. Moff Pantoloc: Dangerous to your trade agreements, Senator, not to the Imperial Triumvirate! Senator Vancar: The New Republic will continue to close in on our activities until… ' Suddenly all heads turn as Senator Vancar’s speech is cut short and the Supreme Moff Barthol, one of the Triumvirs, enters. He is followed by two Royal Guards. All of the commanders stand and bow before the old, evil-looking moff as he takes his place at the center of the room. The Royal Guards stand behind him. Supreme Moff Barthol: The traitors have been dealt with, and the New Republic will no longer be of any concern to us. From now on our operations will be run decentralized, from each Imperial Remnant in the united Imperial Triumvirate. The New Republic does not have the resources to monitor Imperial activities from the Core to the Outer Rim. Moff Pantoloc: That's impossible! How will we maintain control without a centralized command. Supreme Moff Barthol: Regional commanders now have direct control of Imperial operations in their territory. These commanders will operate independently, with the directive of the Triumvirs, and High Command. Senator Vancar: And what of the traitors? If the Republic has obtained knowledge of our plans, it is possible, however unlikely, that they might introduce additional sanctions against imperial activities. Grand Prince Serion: If your real concern is vacancies in High Command, I assure you they will be filled! Tell me senator; When have sanctions ever stopped us? Supreme Moff Barthol: Enough! This is not a committee! The Supreme Moff flicks a button on the table console, and a holographic chart appears mid-air. Supreme Moff Barthol: With this reorganization we will initiate three new directives that will keep the New Republic incapacitated. We want them to stay vigilant towards carefully chosen activities, in order to draw their gaze away from others. We will focus our efforts and resources on the three directives: Operation Nightwing, Operation Thorn, and Operation Resurrection! These are the supreme directives, and take priority over all other operations. These directives are all working toward restoring the Glory of the Empire! Grand Prince Serion: For security reasons, we will brief each commander of their involvement separately. You will each receive a droid carrying your directive details. Commander Bannon, and Administrator Goren, please stay. The rest of you are dismissed! To be continued… /// I've had this one in the works for some time... I still want to do an Imperial Conference room like the one from ANH, but this one was especially inspired by the concept art below... I really like flags and banners, so this was a perfect setting for displaying a couple... Also the black table I'm really happy about... Check out more photos below:
  7. I have seen a number of MODs to imperial fort sets recently on social media and they often use the newer LEGO masonry profile bricks to add some color to the plain white walls. Over the past few years I have learned a number of fun wall texture techniques from @Ayrlego and others and I wanted to share more about how to use them! Often combining one or more of these techniques can make the walls look more natural. When using 1x white bricks, I think using small 1x2 and 1x3 bricks looks more natural than larger 1x4, 1x6, or 1x8. Using masonry profile, log profile, or line profile bricks can add surface roughness to the wall. By using 1x2 non-white plates (tans here), you can add some random color shapes to the wall. This is my favorite wall texture technique. Jumper plates positioned halfway into the wall can be used to stick partway out and add some depth. 1x2 rail plates can add larger extrusions. Jumper plates can also be used to inset windows slightly back into the wall. 1x1 round plates and round bricks can break up the monotony of a wall. I especially like 1x1 plates because they add small details. SNOT bricks can be added to the wall and 1x1 and 1x2 tiles can be attached on the outside of the wall. Headlight bricks can be turned on the their side to include a LEGO stud-sized circle protrusion from the wall. In the recent Naval Intelligence Office in Port Woodhouse MOC I made, I combined the techniques described above to try to add some natural textures to the wall. Colored 1x2 plates attached to the top/bottom of masonry bricks help make them blend in more naturally. If you add a whole bunch of tile protrusions from the walls, it can give it a rougher style texture. This cottage is from a recent Produce Farm MOC build. Hopefully some of these techniques can help add new details to your imperial fort walls in your next build!
  8. *Your entry has earned 14 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: With the ISD Crescendo already stationed in Ambria’s orbit, it made little sense for me to interfere with the Ambria mission. Bravura squad had done a fine job assisting in establishing an imperial outpost on the planet. However, Cpt. Markland had heard rumors of an old imperial installation hidden below the surface of Ambria. Sure enough, hidden in the jagged canyons, a few hundred klicks south of Bravura’s location, Cpt. Markland found an old Imperial mining installation. Her assessment was that the mine holds valuable minerals worth salvaging, and the mine itself could prove valuable if brought back to full operating capacity. In any case, this installation may serve future projects as a base of operation. Lt. Pavall overseeing equipment being offloaded and valuable minerals being removed from the old Imperial Installation. Lt. Pavall: Get a move on, but be careful with the Rhydonium. Worker LS-3444: Be careful, but hurry up! I've heard rumors that these canyons are crawling with monstrous insectoids! Lt. Pavall: Get the Rhydonium inside! We don't want another Jorai Station incident! --- My take on an OC-0GR Imperial Repulsor Sled, inspired by o0ger over on Flickr. /// Working in multiple planes allows for some interesting techniques... Check out some behind the scenes shots below... Let me know what you guys think!
  9. *Your entry has earned 14 XP* Bravura squad has once again been dispatched, this time to Ambria, on the search for Moff Pyerce’s forces. Coda, Dolore and Ferroce along with ISB had approached a settlement north of the LZ. DT-R65 and IG-828 explored the natural formations... DT-R65, IG-828 and specialists from the ISB roamed the horizon on an infantry support platform, repurposed for imperial use as a transport. A cloud of steam rises a wall ahead of them. IG-828 turns toward DT-R65. He nodds, and directs the speeder towards the steam. A white wall lay before them. “This could be a vent, from a generator, Could also be a natural vent.” says DT-R65. “We should go down there.” says one of the specialists. DT-R65 takes off his helmet, takes a knee in the barron and hot sand. He feels its coarseness between his fingers. The area around the steam has an abundance of minerals from the core. DT-R65: “I used to work in places like this… I’ll go down. IG-828 will lower me down with his grappling hook.” He puts on his helmet and IG-828 hands him the hook. The temperature rises as DT.R65 descends. “We’re receiving a transmission from headquarters.” says the specialist to IG-828. IG turns toward him, sharply as if being interrupted. The trooper takes a step back, slightly unsettled by this inhuman looking droid. “We are to return to the Crescendo for a new briefing. Bravura has established a base near the settlement, north-west of our position.” The droid turns back towards the steam, and DT-R65 cannot be seen because of it. “[We will finish our mission here.]” replies the IG unit. DT-R65 turns on his thermal scan, but it’s no use, everything is affected by the temperature of the steam. He turns his head to take a look behind him. He catches a glimpse of old mining equipment. 8 lights are pointed towards him, but they are moving towards him. He turns off the thermal view… “Dank farrik…” Infantry support platform designed by 8th_brother_brick. Modified by myself to fit an imperial theme.
  10. *Your entry has earned 7 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: Something’s not adding up. I knew that the Emperor had an interest in the occult, but learning that Pyerce is looking for artifacts holding similar secrets does not sit right with me. We’ve learned of one of the locations they might be seeking out, and we’re trying to beat his forces there. I’ve sent one of my most trusted. Cdr. Bannon’s log - continued: Cpt. Markland reported back to me that they found a cave that seemed to have been the hiding place of a Jedi. By the looks of it, someone trying to hide from order 66. She’s bringing back his belongings, among them some old scrolls with coordinates across the galaxy... /// Some more pictures below...
  11. *Your entry has earned 16 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: Pyerce’s retreat from Fondor into the Wazta, Koradin, and Tunka sector, the Imperial Triumvirate had dispatched agents to all three sectors. One of these agents had reported that a high standing operative of Pyerce’s was hiding in the rocky village of Brathgul somewhere in the northern hemisphere of Lipsec. Let this be the first and last time I underestimate Imperial commanders, regardless of allegiance! The Pyerce agent-commander prepping her droid for the inevitable confrontation... Stormies are no match for a well trained imperial agent, and a modified enforcer droid in kill-mode... /// I know this build landed somewhere looking like Nevarro. Maybe I subconsciously wanted to get that feeling. The general idea is a hab built into the rocks.. Below you'll find a few additional shots...
  12. *Your entry has earned 14 XP* Outtake from Reaper Squad’s Report: Intel reported that Pyerce forces fleeing the Fondor system had scattered and hid in the Outer Rim. Specifically the Wazta, Koradin, and Tunka sector. Our first lead was a Pyerce Gozanti-class cruiser escorted by a few TIEs that had been shot down somewhere over Virgillia 7 weeks earlier. I guess they did not know about the Virgillian Free Alignment. We should make short process of any survivors. Cdr. Bannon had made it clear that any intel they intercepted at Fondor, could pose a potential threat to Triumvirate activities in the Core. The orders were simple! Search and Destroy! The first TIE was demolished in the crash, but the second one had been turned into a makeshift habitat for the surviving pilot. Her plan must have been to hide out for some time - not expecting any visitors. She was unarmed when we confronted her. Last mistake she ever made... *BLAMMM* /// Balancing the TIE was a real challenge... The ropes, pipes, and nets actually serve to keep the makeshift hab in place...
  13. *Your entry has earned 5 XP* Somewhere deep within the Botanical Garden of Odik II... Chancellor Vankar: Gentlemen. Even if you do not recognize the imperial remnants, you must acknowledge their existence. Even on prominent New Republic worlds the remnant has more influence than the sitting government. I’m not asking you to openly support the Imperial Triumvirate. I’m telling you to look the other way. Senator Gunch Mau’te: The Neimoidian society agrees to your terms Chancellor. Senator Bjiel: I’m not convinced. Eventually the New Republic will uncover the imperial entanglements buried in bureaucracy and corruption! Chancellor Vankar: Eventually yes. Until then we will make it worth while. /// Wanted to do plants from these bricks for a looooong time, but I couldn't find a jungle planet to do an entry on...

  15. *Your entry has earned 10 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: After the formation of the New Republic, Onderon maintained a somewhat icy alliance with the new galactic government. After the Imperial occupation, much of the military ordnance was left behind. Some were scavenged, and others forgotten. An informant on our payroll has located a temporary stash of confiscated imperial C7x canisters. It is time to take back what is ours. A direct imperial mission would draw too much heat so close to New Republic space. This called for different measures. However, not so different to the Imperial Triumvirate. Djina: Alright, I've got the guard in my scope. Zan Shysa: Kill him! *BLAAAM* Djina: Working for the Imps' not that bad! Zan Shysa: Cut the chatter! Djina, get rid of the body. Si'rai prepare the explosives! *BAAAAAAM* Zan Shysa: Alright, we got what we came for. Now let's get it back to the Commander... --- Some time later onboard the ISD Manticore... Cdr. Bannon: You have done well Miss Shysa! This is an impressive amount of Beskar, and as promised, you'll have your share along with your credits. I have another purpose for the rest. Zan Shysa: Thank you Commander. A pleasure doing business with you. Cdr. Bannon: I hope you will consider taking another job. I may need your assistance in dealing with some of your kind. Zan Shysa: Mmh... Tell me more... /// A fun little sequence... I hope you liked it...
  16. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: I was making my way to my personal storage unit in order to get decorations for Life Day. A day of joy and happiness, shared with family and loved ones. Sure enough there it was, the much treasured box among heaps of junk. Junk like the pile of Lord Vader busts given to me by every incompetent officer who thinks relations speak louder than achievements. I hope I can be more original if I’m ever to give anyone a gift. Anyways. Luckily I found three bottles of 30 year old Merenzane Gold in the storage. This will surely get me through the holidays... /// Happy Holidays to all Faction RPG players! ? It's been most wonderful playing with you all. Looking forward to even more fun next year! ?
  17. *Your entry has earned 28 XP* The sight that met us above Fondor was best described as chaos. Moments after coming out of hyperspace above Fondor, Pyerce’s forces were all over the freighter. No surprise, but also no challenge for the heavily modified Corellian freighter. The YT-1140 freighter holds an incredible amount of power, that has been redistributed to support advanced weapons and defense systems. No wonder this model has been banned the last decade, and so few have made it through production. Without deviating from our approach to Fondor’s surface, Pyerce's TIEs were dealt with. A few moments later we sat down on the rendezvous, a few clicks west of the research facility. /// This has probably been the most time-consuming build I've ever made. I always wanted to make a Corellian-type freighter, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I have to admit I had my doubts at several points... However, I'm pretty satisfied with the result - room for improvement, but for my first 'SHIP' I think its ok. Additional shots below: I'll see if I can get a few more shots up of the interior and details... Update - A few raw shots of details in the ship:

*Your entry has earned 13 XP* Some time later onboard the ISD Pandemonium... Lt. Traum [over the comms]: *Sir! We’ve detected shield signatures around the old capital, and ships are fleeing the system. Reaper Squad reports several natives fleeing into the highlands and to the former capital. Reaper Squad is bringing the Queen to you now. What are your orders?* Grand Prince Serion: The old capital is of no concern - leave it! Round up all capable survivors in the ruined region. If there’s any natives among them, clip their wings, and process them. No need to destroy a valuable workforce. Wipe out any agitators… Grand Prince Serion: Ah… The famous descendant of Kharys is here... A little less majestic I see… Queen Edi’kharys: *snnnifflles quitely* damn you… Grand Prince Serion: No reason to extend your peril… You will die knowing that your kind will be robbed of all freedom…Throw her out the nearest airlock! 20. *Your entry has earned 11 XP* Some time has passed since the tactical surface attack of strategically important space ports on Marat V. Offworld travel has been totally locked down, and the native S’kytri has fled into their ancestral cities away from space ports. The survivors and remaining population are now being processed by Triumvirate Imperial ground forces... Dr. Lesu: General! We're running low on bacta for treating survivors and the native's wings. 21. *Your entry has earned 8 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* The secrets uncovered in the Emperor’s Observatory on Byss has led to a wide range of experiments and top secret projects. From these, an unlikely alliance has risen between dark side acolytes and a subdivision of the Imperial Triumvirate. For a considerable amount of kyber crystals, the Sith cultists agreed to imbue kyber crystals with dark side energy for experimental weapons application. Unsanctioned and unofficial of course. Bleeding kyber crystals is an ancient Sith ritual... These rituals harnessed the fear and terror of innocent victims... And when fear and terror was at it's highest, the cultists started inflicting pain and suffering... One of these projects has been hidden in subterranean caves, beneath the abandoned Imperial prison base on Kalist VI. Protected by New Republic bureaucrats and corrupt politicians, the Imperial Triumvirate is experimenting with the creation of a new super soldier for the Empire. The Horror Trooper… Mwuahahahah… By drenching the clones in liquified Artusian force crystals, these troopers should have enhanced senses, and some even force powers... I regret that the Empire deprived you of any chance of retribution, but I am here to make amends. I have in my possession a Holocron that holds clues to the whereabouts of several Jedi. Unfortunately I need to find someone able to unlock this device. Can you help me? The Pirate King, Morku’Rath: Young soldier... Tell me… Why should we not cut your limbs off, and burn you alive… Then your little shining trinket would be ours, to do with as we please… Cdr. Bannon: If I don’t leave this planet alive, my Imperial Star Destroyer in orbit will turn this wretched maggot lair to rubble. Morku’Rath: BWAHAHAHA! You strike a hard bargain… Are you sure you’re not a pirate yourself? Mmh… We will help you… Let us see… Sometime earlier onboard Cdr. Bannons flagship, the ISD Manticore... Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: I followed Lord Kadus' suggestion and returned to my ship. Just as I arrived a holo transition came through, and from none other than the Crimson Duchess. I had met her only once before, so this had to be special! Holo transmission from the Crimson Duchess: *Commander, your Empire needs you. As you may suspect, the Triumvirate is not a dying remnant, struggling to survive. We are a part of a grander design! With your next mission you will step through the veil, and there will be no going back. We are counting on your loyalty Commander!* Cdr. Bannon’s log - continued: My mission sent me to the barren rock Botor. Not a system I was familiar with, but intel says that it is run by an old pirate cult called the Flesh Mongers. These pirates have something I need! /// This challenge was a great fit with Cdr. Bannon's continued storyline.
  25. *Your entry has earned 9 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* Excerpt from Cpt. Markland’s log: With our increasing influence corewards, the Imperial Triumvirate have had to make unlikely alliances in order to avoid New Republic attention. With the bulk of our fleet hidden in the Outer Rim, I’ve been tasked with negotiating an alliance, uniting raiders and pirates, to serve as the Triumvirate’s extended foreign legion. So far I’ve been successful in negotiating an agreement with six pirate leaders. Here’s my assessment of these individuals. Crimson Jack, Pirate Master and ex-employee of Jabba the Hutt. He was presumed dead, but reemerged with a pirate gang raiding worlds off of the Corellian Trade Spine. Jack has agreed to work with the Triumvirate in return for Imperial Equipment.
