  2. So, I love Phineas and Ferb. Growing up with it I'm sure has something to do with that, but the show has good writing and is quite clever. 3. i have been busy these last few months on many prjects that i will be submitting to lego ideas, such as the Lighthouse and Guard house you may of seen on here, whilst uploading those i noticed that Pirates of the caribbean was once again allowed back to lego ideas, many people have been making ships - which honestly was my plan too but then i thought what was my favourite and most visually stunning scene and for me it was the Maelstrom Duel between The Black Pearl vs The Flying Dutchman so i decided to take a shot and recreating that here in my submission, i think it would make a really good display piece for anyone who is a fan of ships as well as PotC and id like to think it is unique enough to stand out (movie concept art) also an alt version im not sure which i prefer

  5. IDEA submitted by JasonsBrickStop, it was discovered and linked by @leafan in the pirate section previously. I've invited Jason to join us, it seems he did not have the time or the intention to do so yet. Still, I think this build is truly such an underrated gem within IDEAS that it deserves an own thread. I'd like to summarize some personal opinions on pros and cons about this as an IDEAS submission. I have mostly positive view of course, but as it only stands with ~500 votes at the moment I try to list some things why it might be wrongfully underperforming despite it's greatness and potential. Pros: It is actually very well scaled in piece count, nothing unrealistic to instantly eliminate itself from competition Great combination of newer elements with oldschool atmosphere Pretty astonishing design with lots of different play features and scenes, color scheme is diverse but organic - something what Lego would do itself to make it noticeable The build is a little bit of everything, obviously a jungle but also some pirates/oriental theme. Not too much but far from boring and empty. It is Adventurers so one of the coolest things a Lego set can ever become, period Cons: It is Adventurers, sadly Lego has a questionable motivation and even reputation with rebooting themes. Also today's kids don't really have any emotional links to this theme, that might cause the lower performance (or just not enough publicity) I'm not sure of the figs, they are pretty nice for templating the historical atmosphere, but too many overused parts from older sets (I guess customizing them is just not 100% priority) Without proper lore explanation this might remain a great theme concept instead of an individual IDEAS set. I'm still hoping Jason is going to accept the invitation and will share us some insight about his motivation and standpoints while building this great idea. Also discussions of any detail would be quite welcomed. I personally think this is one of the most careful and sophisticated designs I have ever seen as an attempt to revive an old but also ageless classic.

    A-Team Van - Lego Ideas

After seeing that the A-team licence is now allowed back on lego ideas i have decided to clean up my old build, it takes inspiration from a few different vehicle builds, quite a lot of trucks, I originally built a version of this in 2018 after seeing a MOC by Willem G and Kevin8, their vans were the main inspiration especially for the tilt on the side panels (i have credited him for this amazing solution in my Ideas submission), i took their models apart and rebuilt them using my own techniques and details to hopefully make a better version, but over the years lego parts have changed a lot and so have techniques, so after a couple of years of messing around and looking at other techniques used on other builds of this van i am happy to present my version of this iconic vehicle, i believe thanks to the culmination of many MOCs, styles and builds ive seen over the years that this is one of the more screen accurate builds, one thing i think might be a little off is the front light bar, i think the parts i used were too thick, and as of yet i dont have the parts to build this so im unsure but i think the rear wheel/axle part might be an illegal build as it may put stress on the axle however i cant find out yet At the moment i am desiging the prints for each of the minifigures in photoshop, i think i will use the Mr T from Lego Dimensions maybe just adding so leg detail if anyone has any suggestions for the bull bars on the front please let me know or are they fine as it is?

    New Lego Ideas!

  9. Hello, I'm new on the forum and would like to show my new model for LEGO Ideas: Rake in the Lake - Untitled Goose Game. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2bcb743a-1071-4f44-89f4-97ad6ec27b5d Description: Untitled Goose Game - Made to make you happy. Building, or even looking at the set just makes you happy, that is the mindset behind it. Combining that idea with Untitled Goose Game seemed like the perfect opportunity. I designed it as a fun playset in mind so children can easily build it, but it turned out as a great looking model too. I've put a lot of time into designing this just right, so I hope you like it. The set has a rotating plate which the goose can "swim" on. The farmer can actually sit on the bench while having some of hir gear in his pouch. He can stick his rake in the ground next to the bench. The bit of garden on top of the waterfall can be removed and played with too. If you look closely, it has an egg hidden under the plants and a carrot for the goose to be bold with. If you hold the goose in one hand, steadily sneak up to the farmer, and press the orange button with the other; you might get some HONKS out of him. (Sound Effect) The blue on the bottom of the set is sea-through (pun intended), you can sea some sealife doing their busy sea life things. The waterfall itself can be moved too. It'll reveal a small cave where the goose hides his marvelous treasure. He has to get it out of the basket under the bench first though. About that silly goose, he can carry that rake with his beak as well as his movable wings (or flap-flaps). And yes, you can put the Rake in the Lake.

    Lego Ideas

Hi, I have recently just got back into building my own lego creations and have submitted an idea on the Lego Ideas website. There seems to be alot of emphasis around gathering your own support and I was just wondering if anyone here would know how I would go about doing this. I think the idea is a fairly good one but I just don't really know how to go about gathering support for it (or if it actually makes any difference). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Hello everybody! Now we know that next year there'll be skylines of Tokyo and Dubai. So I thought it would be interesting to collect ideas for new skylines. Here are my wishes: Hamburg (Elb Philharmony, harbor with cargo crane, fish market house, St. Pauli, town hall) Rome (Collosseum, Peter dome, remains of Forum Romanum, ...) Billund (Lego house, Lego factory, Kristiansen's house, ...) Cologne (dome, bridge, RTL building, ...) Rio de Janeiro (carneval, beach, Jesus statue on rock, ...) Washington D. C. (Capitol, White House, ...) Moscow (Kremlin, ...) Vienna (castle, Prater with ferris wheel, ...) Athens (Acropolis, remains of ancient Greek houses, ...) What would you like to see?

    [MOC] Vintage Bus

[Updated] This bus was not selected to be final 15, but I submitted it to Lego Ideas. Please support it if you like it: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/e9b3598f-db12-4b90-aca9-206872843695 This moc is for LEGO Ideas contest "BUILD A VINTAGE CAR TO CRUISE THE STREETS OF LEGO® MODULAR BUILDINGS!" . I will design several more for this contest :D https://ideas.lego.com/projects/e9b3598f-db12-4b90-aca9-206872843695 In the old days, not many people owned a car. Bus was important transportation for people. So a vintage bus should be included in every Lego city. The vintage bus I designed has many playable features. The engine hood, passenger, driver, and back door can be opened. I also added a luggage rack on the top of the bus. Some passengers' accessories were placed on the rack, including two cute pigs. The vintage bus dimension is 6x18x8 bricks. I hope you will like my bus :D My other MOC models: [MOC] Vintage Stylish Convertible [MOC] Vintage Bus [MOC] Halloween Pumpkin Horse Carriage [MOC] ISUZU NPR Light Duty Truck [MOC] Karsan Jest Mini-Bus [MOC] Ford F150 XLT [MOC] London Double Decker Bus Dennis Enviro 400 [MOC] Lada VAZ-2105 [MOC] Subaru WRX [MOC] Classic Cadillac Convertible [MOC] Toyota 6th Gen. [MOC] Winter Chalet.. Help me!

In a distant December 2013 I presented here on EuroBricks a moc to which I am particularly attached: the Winter Chalet! This building took part like many others in my winter village which year after year became an ever larger diorama. Given the interest I decided to include (several years later) the Winter Chalet on LEGO Ideas and immediately had a great success! I didn't think I would get that high on the score score. I have never done too much publicity on this project but now there are less than 2000 votes to reach the summit and I need you! Even if maybe it will never become a LEGO set I would love to get up there ... If you haven't seen or known it yet, go and see my video that I uploaded to YouTube: If you like this project, help me support it! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/849c03ee-e2ae-41d5-9450-6efa53808340 Let your friends know about it, help me reach 10,000 votes. Thank you so much for your support! Sandro

    The School of Athens

The School of Athens (Scuola di Atene) is one of the best pieces of art in the history of humanity, so my brother has decided to turn it into a magnificent Lego model. The School of Athens was completed in 1511 and is not only considered Raffaello Sanzio's finest work, but also the work that sums up the spirit of the Renaissance. My brother has struggling to finish this project properly and almost set it aside, but I insisted and he managed to finish it, although in a smaller scale than initially. He has uploaded this project on Lego Ideas, so please give it a vote and share it online, I think we can get there with everyone's help! Why "The School of Athens"? With so many sets based on movie and on pop culture, we thought it was only right to give art in the traditional sense a chance at becoming an official product. For us, this painting represents humanity, explicitly and implicitly. Just at first galnce, some aspects of human knowledge are visible: architecture, painting, sculpture, philosophy, anatomy, cosmology, but also things inherent to the work: manual rendering of materials and surfaces, colour theory or the perspectives that became so common around then. But the fun of it are the layers of extra meaning it bears. The figures stand in certain angles, perpetually braking the symmetry, linking geometry to the real world. Raphael crafted the characters so they are immensely expressive and vital; they really do feel alive, something I feel my brother has also achieved, they interact, they discuss, they disagree, they agree, they are typically human: they cooperate with one another, something the ancients can teach us. I believe this is not a mere fresco, it is a piece of art that can teach us. Who is who? Represented here are some of the most important philosophers, mathematicians and thinkers of ancient Greece, Rome and even muslim Spain. Some of the statues are pagan gods and some of the figures have the faces of eminent Renaissance figures, with Heraclitus having Michelangelo's face, Euclid having Bramante's face and Apelles having the painter's face, all in all, a nice mix, something that also applies to today's multicultural cityscapes. Video: Fun facts about the Lego model: You can read the ones my brother already mentions in the description of the project, here are some extra ones: Originally the plan was to give the 1x1 brick with 4 studs on the sides to the women in the painting and the Erling brick to the men, but my brother ended up giving the 1x1 brick with 4 studs on the sides to male figures too, as the Erling brick didn't allow for side hair. The compass Euclid uses are some cherries. The only Olive Green pieces in the whole model are for Socrates, the originator of what today we understand as "philosophy" (the philosophers before him are today known as "pre-Socratics". The robes next to Diogenes are regular Lavander, nor Medium Lavander like the rest of the robes in the rest of the model. Only women wear Aqua garbs. Please help my brother by supporting and by spreading the word.

    [MOC/IDEAS] The Mole

The Mole - originally Krtek - is a cartoon character created by Czech animator Zdeněk Miler. He has appeared in 50 animations between 1956-2002. The mole is curious, friendly and caring. The animations vary from couple of minutes to half an hour in lenght and apart from the debut, "How the mole got his trousers", do not feature any narration or dialogue. Character's non-figurative exclamations were voiced my Miler's daughters. This was to have the cartoons understandable in every language without need of dubbing. The mole cartoons have been very popular in several countries, including many Central European countries, Russia, India, Japan and Finland. This is also my first IDEAS project. You can find it here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/96873418-a994-42b5-a8d8-ecfd3ba1af8a Support is appreciated. The model is rather sturdy - my models usully are not - as the Mole is quite a cylinder-shaped animal. He is also very round, which took plenty of SNOT connections and curved slopes to get right. The 3x3x2 curved corner pieces were the key parts. Another challenge were the arms, as I didn't want them to be just couple of tubes. More pictures can be found on my blog, Cyclopic Bricks.

What happened to the treehouse set?

The Treehouse was selected to be the 25th Lego Ideas set back alongside the Flinstones set, but since then we've had no word on it, even including the Steamboat Willie set replacing it on the number ranking (despite originally being incorrectly labeled as 24, it's now labeled as 25). Did Lego just cancel this set to the wayside? I haven't heard anythig about it since it was first announced. Anyone know whats happening there?

    Imperial Trading Ship

Hello gents, As I'm making progress on my Island town I am in need of a number of small ships. (smaller ships make the Island look bigger ). My latest one is actually based on an earlier model I built at Maxim's. It seemed fun to use the small ship from the classic set Imperial Trading Post as a reference. As you may notice that is where those beautiful sails come from. Anyway, I hope you like it, please support it on LEGO Ideas, if you have a minute . Note that helmsman has the original torso that was used in the set. Didn't they call that minifigure Steve or something? Choosing the colours for this model was quite challenging but I'm satisfied with its current colour scheme. Of course there should be a goat on board, how else would they be getting fresh goat milk? Just look at that, wouldn't you want one for your own? Perhaps that may be possible... When the project reaches 100 supporters, the deadline will be extended with a full year, in which it will have to gather a total of 10000 supporters in order to be considered as an official set. So get supporting! (But be careful when logging in, there seems to be some kind of bug).
