Another modular house. .
2. My home LUG - CoWLUG, the Colorado-Wyoming Lego User's Group - was asked to put up a display at the Laramie Train Depot Open House two weeks ago. Our setup took two and a half hours, and we ran the show more or less all day over the course of the weekend. Stuart of lifelites.com was this show's organizer. He hacked together some PF IR receivers and a couple of barrel connectors as an experiment. What we ended up with was an awesome fully remote-controlled layout for both 9v and PF trains. This allowed us to not have to take shifts in the center "pit" where all the regulator gubbins were at. In addition, we also had interactive arcade buttons set up that allowed the visitors to control various functions in the layout. This was also the button's first outing and we plan to have more functions at the next display. This year, one button controlled the track power for the elevated Chicago-style trains, another controlled the pumpjack on top of the Steampunk district, and the third controlled the steam plant for "Peter Piper's Pickled Peppers Plant". The buttons also helped keep the kids from glomming onto the trains as they went by. Of course, now you'll want images I suppose. *sigh* ok Cows are indeed a running theme, considering how the name is "CoWLUG". Hide yo' kids and hide yo' cows. Grumpy Thor is grumpy. Lego displays = srs bsns (CoWLUG displays =/= srs bsns, however). This is where the real fun happens. I feel my camera car is especially graceful. Just look at that low profile! Did I mention Stuart also had a CNC and engraved bricks for a while? It broke though and he hasn't gotten it working again yet. So there is a use for those Dino Attack pieces, at least. I still think the squid in the lower middle is the best bit of this picture. Among other things not pictured, there was a Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. skyscraper (from the show Phineas and Ferb of the Disney Channel) and a prison complete with prison riot. There were guards dual-wielding bananas in one hand and tommy guns in the other. Ostriches were involved. Well, that should about wrap it up. Feel free to ask questions! Edit: D'oh, I forgot - I'll be posting my custom trains that I built for this event in their own thread. Look forward to that, I know I will Edit2: Oh snap, I forgot another thing. My mom took the pictures, which is why they're so good. Thanks Mom!

(MOC)-Villa Battisti

Hi, to everyone! This is the second time I show you one of my MOC. Actually the Tie Fighters where not totally mine as explained in this post http://www.eurobrick...entry1687262... By the way, what I'm showing today is my first attempt to make a MOC after the dark age... It represents a northern-style house that were built in the 10th of the XX century in my town. As you will see it is a very strange building while put in an environment like ours in Italy. I built it during many years (2006-2009), brick by brick, attempting to catch the essential of the real one. It has been very difficult, in fact I built and destroyed it 3 times before getting a satisfactory one... In some details, like the wooden frame of the roof, I'm still far away... :/ I hope Lego will produce more bar-like parts in black... It has been completed with a garden and a front sidewalk during 2010, while I put some minor inner detail later. It can be fitted along with standard modular houses. As you can see from my gallery it can be opened and is fully furnished. Meanwhile here is it.

12. I haven't gotten one of the Creator 3 in 1 houses yet, but I have been looking at the reviews and pictures posted here and trying to plan how to furnish it for minifig use. I have always been fascinated with the housing and making things more usable/realistic for the minifigs. Back in the days of blue and grey Space sets, I used to make stoves, seating and entertainment sets for the bases I built. I'm wondering what some of you who have the Creator series have done with furnishings in the limited (sometimes next to none I notice) space you get after the build. I have been looking through the forums but haven't seen anything yet. So what have you got? Or is this something you haven't thought of yet and now the juices are flowing, so what are you planning? I'm working on getting some bricks together in my collection to use for MOC esp. this particular kind of thing, so besides stealing chairs and desk from some of my City Advent Calendars once I get something put together I'll post some picks and update this post. Now I'm going to go look at the amount of stud X stud space some of these reviews have and plan my layout. But I would love to see some ideas from others!
13. My parents own a summer house, close to the small town Katrineholm, Sweden. The house was, when they bought it 8 years ago, in very bad condition due to that it stood empty for several decads. However, today it is in better condition. Anyway - I just had to build this house in LEGO! To make the model fit in one of IKEA's vitrine products I tried to create it in a as small scale as possible (but still in a size which makes it possible to recreate the windows in a good way). I think what I'm most happy about with this creation is the choice to use studs on the roof - I think that creates a great contrast towards the smooth walls. You are able to find a reference picture of the real building at the end of this post. When the regular slope-parts (http://www.bricklink...asp?P=3040]3040) are attached to each other you don't achieve the 45 angle I was looking for. So instead I used a combination of http://www.bricklink...asp?P=3040]3040 and http://www.bricklink...p?P=92946]92946 Could this building be built in an even smaller scale? Sure... Comparison - which one do you like the most? (The big one consists of appr. 1400 parts, the small one 300). This is what the real house looks like: Hope you enjoy it!
14. Hi everyone! I am new here. My reintroduction to Lego started with the Monster Fighters Haunted House. Then I got interested in Architecture, and Superhero figures. I also love the "home assessories" Lego items.

Major of Kimville`s residens

My first real post! Woho! This is a house I build from my own fantasy. The house is not 100% complete in lack of time and has no inventory or stairs. Yet. As the topic title says, this is the majors house. My city, Kimville, was founded in 2009 and still expanding. I will set up a solution with more and better pictures so you can get to know it better. My own creations is a selection of (modular) buildings, like a Applestore, Toys`R`us and a italian icebar. As my collection of bricks grows I will be able to build bigger, better and more detailed. In the meantime I collect inspiration :) Stay tuned!
