    MOC: I've found them!"

"I've found them!" Zev Senesca has located the lost rebels Han Solo and Luke Skywalker who have spent the night in the harsh Hoth elements. With the death of Han's Tauntaun, desperate measures had to be taken to keep Luke alive after his encounter with the Wampa. The T47 Snowspeeder design comes courtesy of Larry Lars immaculate design, check out his instructions here on Flickr. 2. (I Want this freebuild to be judged) Having only recently joined the Alliance, my first mission was on Hoth. I was on watch duty, Looking for any signs of the Empire... Seeing a smudge in the distance, I went for a closer look... There! In the distance! An Imperial speeder bike... What was the Empire doing here?! But before I could make a complete thought, it came rushing straight towards me! Quickly I dived out of the way... As I saw him whizzing past me, I knew I couldn't let him escape. I had one shot... and... Success!

    (MOC) MINI Hoth AT-AT

This is my MOC displaying my mini AT-AT and Snowspeeder I am currently going through my collection of polybags Deciding which ones are worth keeping, and making displays for them. This was also a way to test uneven floor patterns, and use my extra black vine I got for Venom I hope you enjoy! And if you do, remember to comment!

This is my MOC of Luke wandering on Hoth I wanted to try out the footprint effect in a test trial while also making a MOC I think it looks great, and if you do too, be sure to comment!
  5. Oops, I thought I posted this a few days after my MTV-7. Sorry! Anyways, here goes. The PDT-8 Personnel Deployment Transport was a small two-man vehicle used by the Rebel Alliance. It had two open spaces that could be used to transport people or cargo. It featured two large jet thrusters at the side and also had two small blaster cannons. The Rebel Alliance utilized several of these weapons during the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY during the Galactic Civil War. Like with my other Mini-Rigs, I took the idea and made it a little practical, IMO. Having a transport for 2 droids, doesn't do alot on battle. So I made it a little larger, while still trying to keep the shape of the original. Also, scale is something that doesn't translate well from Kenner figure to Lego very well. So, it is probably pretty close to "scale" giving the difference in figures?! The troops can be let out of the rear, guns ready to under the ramp. But, like my MTV-7, I did make a smaller, more accurate model. One that is more in line with the original. Hope you guys like it. I will be building this and the other Mini-Rigs I did early next year. This model has 211 pieces. Thanks for looking, Jamie 11 - EU - Mini-Rig- PDT8 - Personnel Deployment Transport.lxf

    MTV-7 Multi-Terrain Vehicle

Today, I present the MTV-7 Mini-Rig from the Kenner Star Wars line from the 80's. The MTV-7 Multi-Terrain Vehicle[1] was a wheeled scouting car utilized by the Imperial Army during the prime years of the Galactic Civil War. In addition to the vehicle's basic upright position, the MTV-7's large double wheels,[2] each featuring grooved surface treading,[3] extended outward from the main body to adopt a low, ground-hugging configuration.[2] Such versatility made the MTV-7 adaptable to many environments, and the vehicle was easier to deploy than the Empire's All Terrain Scout Transport walker.[3] Armed with a single rotating laser cannon, the MTV-7 held room for a single pilot in an open-air cockpit—unlike speeder bikes, the MTV-7 did not require a pilot possessed of suicidal tendencies.[3] A forward-facing, grilled headlight was positioned at the front of the vehicle.[2] This is my largest Mini-Rig. The original model had room for one Snowtrooper. I took the idea of it and made in more of a troop carrier for rough terrain. There is room for a driver, 3 troops, and 1 gunner. To get the angles on the wheels, I used click-hinges. But, I did make a smaller version of this model, one that is more in line with original. I wish there were smaller slopes, the sides of the smaller model are so flat. I like them both, even thou, the larger isn't really true to the source material. The larger has 355 pieces in it. The smaller has 130. The lxf is attached and includes both model in it. Jamie 10 - EU - Mini-Rig - MTV-7 - Multi-Terrain Vehicle.lxf

    [MOC] Probe Droid

Hello everyone and regards from Finland, I am a new member on this forum and I thought I'd like to share some of my recent MOCs. I am Star Wars fan to the ultimatum and here you go, as my first MOC here: Lego MOC Probe Droid Features two Lego-battlepack blasters, the other hidden into the core structure, and the other lurking between the legs. The head also rotates as in the movies. This MOC will also make a small part of the Kessel diorama we are setting up for the ModelExpo 2015 in Helsinki (10.-12.4.) with Hereticae and a couple of other builders. Those dark grey clips on the core that hold together those black control sticks on a tube I will change to black ones when I happen find/buy more of them. Those red 1 x 1 plates are the bolts of the blasters that are not very easily seen from this angle. Challenge: take Lego-pictures without cat megablocks in the picture. So far success rate 50 % for Legos. Apparently the Imperial Viper Droid was no match against the mighty Krayt Dragon... -Samppu
  8. My Daughter wanted to diversify our squadron of 12 Airspeeders....I now have a happy 5 year old (I am not sure who will appreciate it more, Star Wars fans or friends fans, so I will start here until I get moved somewhere else). We were inspired by the friends AT-AT walker. you can view more here: https://www.flickr.c...th/15954244954/
  9. Lord Tyrus had been assigned a medium priority mission from Officer Brickdoctor along with fellow ISB officer Goatm An and Imperial pilot ace, BEAVeR, to investigate reports of Rebel activity, originating from the ice-ball world of Barab II. They had been assigned a Valor-Pattern Assault Gunboat, an experimental craft combining the air-to-ground supremacy of the LAAT gunships along with the durability of the STC003 Starcrashers and the transport ability of Lambda Class Shuttles, in order to transport the squad of Stormtroopers that was accompanying them. "We're coming in too fast! Officer VeR, what are you doing! Officer Brickdoctor said you were the best type of pilot that could be assigned to this mission." Lord Tyrus exclaimed. "Relax, I've worked with BEAVeR before, Tyrus. He's a great pilot," Goatm said, "Although maybe not the best type for a soldier," he muttered. His previous missions with BEAVeR had made it evident to him that he was unable to take a life, thus making him a poor candidate for a high-ranking Imperial pilot. He even felt sympathetic feelings towards the Rebels that he would be willing to testify against him if he was to fail him on this mission. He could sense that he was gaining the attention of the very important and influential people in the Emperor's fleet. He didn't want anyone messing up his almost certain promotion, especially this disloyal pilot. He was good at everything in his job, except the essential power to shoot someone. Simple as that. "It's not my fault! We've been hit!" BEAVeR replied. The thick, white clouds of Barab II's atmosphere wizzed by revealing a clean white blanket that was Barab II's surface. However, they were approaching at too steep an angle. Suddenly they were pulled into a tight spiral with the center a small spire poking through the surface. " Hold on, although I don't think the crash would be too bad, we've flown past the mountain, worry over, snow's fairly soft compared with rock." "Well done Sherlock..." A Stormtrooper muttered. "Silence!" Goatm yelled, "You don't want to see me when I'm angry!" Lord Tyrus turned off the live feed from the troop bay. Thud. Screech. Bang. Silence. The cockpit's viewscreen went blank. "Rear hatch it is then," Said Tyrus. As the crew in the front; Tyrus, Goatm, the Stormtrooper sergeant and VeR, opened the door to the troop bay. They were in for a shock. Only two of the nine Stormtroopers in the troop bay were still alive, one of them unconscious. The remainder were smashed up a bit. The crates and boxes had dislodged in the troop bay by the shot and were smashed into the the troops. The straps that held them into their seats were unable to be opened until the craft had landed, for safety. However, this proved a major downfall as the troopers were unable to escape as they were crushed by crates weighing nearly a ton. This was feedback that Goatm could file back to the design team. Lord Tyrus and BEAVeR helped the two remaining troops out and quickly looked away. Following that, Tyrus grabbed a rope, opened the rear hatch and, dropping the reel of rope, clambered down, closely followed by the other five. Tyrus got out his Macrobinoculars and surveyed the area. There was a spire, near to where they had been brought down. There were mountains in the distance with buildings on top in the same style as the spire He thought he could see figures on the horizon. Suddenly they were greeted as a wave of blaster bolts hit them. "Take cover!" Yelled Goatm, activating a distress beacon from his pocket, "Head to that gorge!" But they didn't know what was in for them... Oh I forgot, can I have this judged please!

    MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon

Today, I would like to present my MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon from the 80's Kenner Mini-Rigs line. The MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon was a self-propelled gun used as a light artillery weapon by the Rebel Alliance. The MLC-3 was armed with twin blaster cannons and moved on a compact tracked chassis. The use of wheeled bogies rather than repulsorlift units suggests that, like many Rebel units, this was a relatively low-tech vehicle, and it seems that the cockpit hatch was opened manually rather than hydraulically. While the MLC-3 was designed to operate with a single pilot, they could be programmed to run autonomously, firing at preset targets. If you read the description and look at the picture, you will see a little difference. Namely, 2 figures, instead of a single pilot. I didn't like the look of the model when I made it smaller with one pilot. I couldn't get the "scale" and angles right, to me, it looked off. There are some big differences between a Kenner Star Wars figure and a Lego Mini-Fig, in both size and proportions. On the Kenner model, the pilots' head stuck out of the dome on the top of the model while his legs went all the way to the front of the vehicle. So, after playing with the design a lot, I scraped the idea of a lone pilot and decided on a pilot and gunner. All in all, I'm happy with the way this model turned out. Maybe a little chunky! And yes, I did "cheat" a little, I ended up using the tracks from my SRV-1, http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=100747. Working with these is a pain! This model has 296 pieces, of which 70 are tread pieces, the .lxf file is in my Brickshelf folder. Tomorrow, the flying AT-ST head, INT-4! Thanks for looking, Jamie

    The New Republic SRV-1

After completing the Imperial Troop Transport, I started looking back at some of the 80's toys from Star Wars, I came across some un-produced stuff. I have seen them before, but, for some reason. I got the idea to make the SRV-1. It's a cool little vehicle used to recover snowspeeders, transport troops, or carry cargo. Both cockpits open, cannons both rotate 180 degrees, bed tips, loading ramp folds up, and there is a winch in there. I really wish those windscreens came in trans-black, but, trans-blue doesn't look too bad, I guess. This model is comprised of 768 pieces and holds 4 troops, a driver, navigator, and 2 gunners. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Thanks, Jamie

    Imperial Probe Droid MOC

After getting the a bit overprized 75014 Battle of Hoth set at 20% off from TrU the day before, I decided to build my own version of the Imperial Probe Droid in Minifig-scale and have a try at getting it closer to the shapes of the one we've seen in the movie at this scale. Here's my result. I hope you like it. Also, this is just another of a few builds I've done over the past two weeks, like the scout bike, a heavily modified AT AT (almost done with it) and an AT ST, which I will reveal soon - all part of the Imperial Hoth Attack force I'm currently building and planning on keeping assembled.
  13. Twas the night before Life Day, and all through the base Imps were hacking the files the Rebs tried to erase. And while thinking of hot Tatooine and sail barges I wired Reb equipment with thermal det. charges. All at once, from the hall, we heard weaponized light as our troops found a rebel who put up a fight! Outgunned and outnumbered, the reb didn't last long and as he surrendered ... ...we broke into song! Give a cheer to the troops, far from home this cold night fighting and dying for justice and right! Cheers to the pilots who saw them safe down through the treacherous winds, over hostile ground. Cheers to the snow scouts who found the ice cave where we first made our entrance, so dashing and brave. Cheers to ISB spooks, with their cool slicer droids (and their all-seeing eyes, which we try to avoid). Cheers to army and navy and Stormtrooper Corps, and to all who support us as we win this war. 3 cheers for the Empire, protecting us all, it's for her that we fight, we shall not let her fall! Cheers to her citizens, no matter where from ... and tonight (tonight only!) cheers too, rebel scum. Happy Life Day!!! ------------------------ Behind the scenes ------------------------ Once again, my build ended up much larger than I had planned! This was a difficult one to photograph, with a lot of white on white; I ended up taking a ridiculous number of pictures, experimenting with different lighting and settings. Here in Seattle, we have "full spectrum" or "happy" lamps to get us through the long damp winters. I built part of the cave wall with clear bricks, and let the blue light illuminate the interior. Here's a look at the overall build: This was a lot of fun, but I think I'll try a small vignette for Episode IV Thanks for reading!
  14. So here is my entry for Episode 3. It took up all of my white plate bricks - anything from 6*12 to 1x1 :) I just got the wife the Winter village Cottage and Market sets, and those two are crawling with large white base plates, but couldn't use those - oh no, not during the holidays :) _______________________________________________ When the imperials attacked Echo base no one thought to check the princess's royal quarters. Every''one was too busy keeping the imperial scum at bay for long enough for everyone to escape safely. According to the orders we were given some very secret plans were stored inside the princess's wedding chest, and it was imperative that this was retrieved before the imperial troops would get to them and probably ransac the place. The royal chambers were placed somewhat away from the main part of the base, and it was suspected that the imperial forces wouldn't know of the whereabouts of the base before they hacked through most of the computers. When we got to the royal chambers, it was obvious that they had suffered in the snow, the corridors where blocked with snow and ice, and we would have to dig our way through to find the princess' wedding chest. Bringing a shovel to Hoth is like bringing a spoon to a blasterfight, we had to use pick axes and a snowdrill to get through to the chest. We had intercepted a message leaving Hoth base that the imperial troops had learned the location of the royal chambers and would look for it tomorrow. While the others where digging my job was to keeo a lookout for anything suspicious above ground. What I saw gave me a sudden chill and made me rush back to the others to cool it with the digging or we would be made for sure. Those AT-ATs are not to be messed with. Thank god it was a blizzard outside or they would have made out the backup generator for the royal chambers or the entrance hatch easily. Why were they out in such weather, and why were they carrying a chainsaw and an axe? Playing some sort of real life version of Doom versus Wampas? I know this place is like a wintery hell, but still that sounds to messed up for imperial storm troopers. ____________________ The AT-AT from the front. I was building this out of the remnants of my grey parts just when EP III, came out so I just had to use it. Rear Shot (seems obvious what those tools where for :) ) The Binocular shot without photoshop (Paint.Net) The backup generator seen through the legs of the AT-AT And by it self A shot down the corridor towards the ladder and the hatch (Feels like Vader is about to enter) A shot of the base without the AT-AT and minifigs. just for reference. Hope you enjoyed the show :)
  15. [December ??, 2013] Our ship came to a soft landing on the snow covered planet of Hoth. We were split into teams, two troopers each, and given Snowtrooper armor to suit the harsh climate. After being split up, we we're given our commands: search the Echo Base and locate any information left behind by the Rebels, and destroy it. I was paired with LucasLaughing, a member of the Imperial Security Bureau, and together, we entered the supposedly abandoned Echo Base. What mysteries await... Lego Spy and LucasLaughing investigate the Rebel's heating system. Full Build _________________________________________________________________________________ Front of the Build ________________________________________________________________________________ We left the system online until we left; as it was very cold that day... Or any day, since it's Hoth. ______________________________________________________________________________ Without Snowtroopers _______________________________________________________________ "I wonder what's in here." I mumbled, as we entered what must have been the hundredth wing. ________________________________________________________________________________ I searched through the remaining files, most had been deleted, but I was able to find a hologram with a publication date from a few days ago... ______________________________________________________________ We looked on as the Rebels ( ) practically revealed the location of their new base to the empire ( ! I asked. "Maybe that Rebel Scum who calls herself a princess?" Suggested Lucas. ________________________________________________________________________________ Then, all of a sudden, a Rebel rushed into the room! "What do you want!?" We shouted. "I- I-" He stammered, "I was sent back to get the P- Princess's clothing." Me and Lucas exchanged glances of amusement. ________________________________________________________________________________ "You know what," I told the Rebel, "It's the holidays, we'll let you go this time." "Thank you, the Empire is in my debt." He shook hands with me and Lucas, grabbed the "Princess's" clothing, and rushed from the room. The End ________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________ I hope you liked my entry! Comments and criticism are welcome! You can see more of my MOCs and pictures at my Flickr!
  16. This is my entry for SoNE Episode III: Search in the Echo Base. Initially, I wanted to make it bigger but real life slowed me and I was forced to make it smaller; however I think it comes out quite well. The squad of soldier Wedge09 is sent, together with other rebel soldiers, to search the Echo Base. In their search, soldier Wedge09 and his squad found a data server and some crates. Their orders are clear: retrieve all can be usefull and destroy all which is not. One of the soldiers calls their chief officer: "Sir, we have found something, crates and a data server, I think." "Copy, proceed as your orders." "Yes, sir, we are moving." and a photo without minifig C&C are always welcome and Enjoy
  17. I enter the back entrance for a newly discovered branch of the abandoned Echo Base, in search of Rebel Alliance military intelligence and to destroy any remaining equipment... After blasting open the doors, I enter the darkness... Rebel blood drips... Hi everyone! This is not your classic hoth base, and its not really designed as a story... so I'll just present the photos with minimal commentary. Thanks for viewing! I was planning on putting some more things on the outside part, but I decided to just keep it simple with the landscape because I was running out of time... oops! The entrance to the base. On guard is a snowtrooper. Here is a clearer shot of the front, without the figure in front of the entrance. Without the roof. From the side ( no roof ) Aerial view of the layout of this small base. In the top left is one trooper finding some secret information to steal and on the bottom middle one trooper is finding some equipment to destroy! The rest of the base is filled with rubble and leaked snow. "Looks like we've got some material to download here, sir." It appears that the rebels didn't do so well... this must be the result of a wampa attack (tired of the mistreatment of taun-tauns, you see). Here's a view of the base from the other side. And to finish this up, a parting shot with the wampa snacks Thanks for viewing! Constructive criticism and pure praise appreciated
  18. What a mess! I never thought I would set foot in the Echo Base control room again, but here I was... This time it was not to run errands for others though, this time I was leading a team to salvage what we could and destroy the rest... I found it strange we hadn't run into any Imperial troopers yet, we knew they were here somewhere. LegoFjotten: "Kaitan, pull the memory banks from K-3PO" Kaitan: "Yes sir" LegoFjotten: "Donnie, place the explosives on the servers." Donnie: "You got it boss" Meanwhile, at Bravo team's location: Soldier: "Captain! Look, a couple of crates of blasters." Captain: "Excellent solider, let us bring them with us, E-3PO, give them a hand with the crates". E-3PO: "E-Chu-Ta" Captain: "How rude, someone please remind me to not bring the rudest droid in the galaxy for our next mission." In the princess's chambers: Soldier 1: "Those are some outfits! Wish I could see the princess in these! Maybe she will be so happy when I bring here these she will..." Soldier 2: "Eeeh.... is that a 3D poster of captain Solo on the wall?" Soldier 1: "Indeed! That's a bit... odd... isn't it?" Soldier 2: "...did the princess ask us to bring any of her other... belongings?" Soldier 1: "No, just the clothes." Soldier 2: "Good, that could have been awkward!" Elsewhere: Cape guy: "That's great guys! Let's make an astromech out of snow you said... let's decorate the place... it'll be fun.... yeah right! Who invited the wampa!" Officer: "Shut it! If you hadn't tripped on your cape when you went for your blaster we wouldn't be in this fine predicament now would we? What's with the cape anyway? And the outfit?" Cape guy: "Grmphf!" Tie pilot: "Maybe TK-422 will get us out of this, he was just... oh wait, nevermind." A few overview shots: High res photos on flickr. Comments & criticism welcome! Edit: Doh, forgot to adjust the photos, I will update the photos later on. Edit2: Updated the overview shots, at least the edge of my paper background isn't showing any more!
  19. My entry to the Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka : Episode III [ Oh Echo Base! Oh Echo Base! ] This holiday season was clearly a busy one. The Alliance organized a lot of missions, and we had no time to celebrate. As a recently promoted Alliance Intelligence member, I was sent to Hoth, an infamous freezing planet with the legendary Echo Base, to recover any useful information from the abandoned servers and destroy them; at the same time to recover the Princess ‘s wardrobe. Oh well, it’s Christmas after all, so why not have some relaxing and fun actions. ============================== After our arrival, the pilot had some free time decorating the Hanger. Rebel Trooper 1: Oh No! The Imperials are here! Rebel Trooper 2: Defend our Christmas tree! At the back of the Hanger, some troopers were trying to recover the equipment, which we left behind during our evacuation from last battle. Rebel Trooper 3: Be careful ! The base floor is quite unstable. I reached one of the control rooms with my partner. There, we found the Princess Leia’s secret changing room. With much effort, we override the system and opened that heavily secured door. As one of the female members of the Alliance, I always wish to see some of the Princess’s lovely dresses, and now I had the chance. All of the sudden, the Rebel Commander arrived. He insisted he had a secret mission inside that room and gave me strict order not to enter! He went straight in and locked the door behind him! WHAT! I was furious! But I cannot disobey the Commander. Duty comes first! And I continue to destroy the remaining servers. I wonder what he is doing in the Princess’s room (??????) Commander: Oh Look ! I 'm the Princess! I 'm FABULOUS ! ============================== Overview : Front : Back : Hope you like it
  20. Ahhhh… my fingers are freezing! These pilot suits are made to keep you warm in outer space, but this planet is way worse. The only thing this Rebel base has to offer are record temperatures and giant locked doors. This one in front of me is the biggest we’ve seen in the time we’ve been here. A full hour, I’ve been trying to crack this door open. I was selected to be on this mission because of my promotion, and my technical expertise as a pilot. But this door is heavily secured. And we can’t just blast it open. This base is weakened. Who knows what a heavy explosion could cause… Wait… a beep! I don’t know what we did, but somehow… and now, a deep noise… that blasted door is opening! After all the effort it has asked of us, I’ve grown really curious. What could lay behind this door? What secret deserves that much protection? For what obscure things have my fingers been suffering like this? What?! Is that really… a bunch of… plush Tauntauns? That’s so unexpected, I just can’t hold my laugh. My companions apparently are thinking the same. A bunch of stuffed Tauntaun … hahaha! “So what are they doing here actually?” One of my friends remarks. Strange I haven’t asked that question before. Looking around me, the surroundings are telling me a rather dark story. This seemingly hilarious heap of huge plush Tauntauns seems to form a serious threat to the Rebellion. There are consoles in this room, and even what seems to be a walkway for guards. But why… why are these cute animals such a threat to that Rebel scum… I have the feeling that menacing shadow growing on the ground may be the answer. Carefully, I turn around, only to see the biggest Wampa I’ve ever seen. But it doesn’t pay attention to me. It has this kind of exp<b></b>ression of disbelief on it’s face. Not because it’s surprised to see those plush Tauntauns, but it seems like the Wampa wasn’t expecting to see those ever again. Slowly, it reaches out for one of the soft animals, and studies it carefully. Slowly, the exp<b></b>ression of disbelief turns into one of childish joy. Slowly, my exp<b></b>ression turns from fear into a feeling of joy. [soNE Ep. III] A fluffy tragedy by Bert.VR, on Flickr [soNE Ep. III] The connection by Bert.VR, on Flickr The Wampa seems to notice us at last. It turns to me, and reaches out for me. I can’t move. But all I get is a surprisingly tender hug from the Wampa. It seems to thank us, it even seems to smile! I try to hug the behemoth back, and a feeling of deep warmth fills my entire body. My fingers aren’t freezing any more. The coldest planet in the universe just became the place where I found the warmest feeling. Carefully, the Wampa puts me back on the ground. These animals aren’t dangerous at all. On the contrary, I think they might be the kindest species alive. So why are they deemed so dangerous? Maybe… maybe this room contains the answer. While the Wampa is hugging my fellow troopers (if I only could see their faces!), I head for the console. It’s primitive (but it’s Rebel equipment of course), but seems to be in a workable condition. After some fiddling around, the screen shows me a file. As I read it, slowly the horror contained in this room began to came clear to me. [soNE Ep. III] Rebel technology... by Bert.VR, on Flickr It turns out the Wampa-people (to me, those civilized creatures aren’t beasts at all) adores the Tauntauns. In fact, they seem to see them as some kind of divine animal. That’s because the Tauntauns provide milk, fur and especially affection to the Wampa’s on this deserted planet. It has come even so far the Wampa’s began to make Tauntaun plushes, to have their beloved companions always with them. But then, the Rebels came. Needing transport themselves, they rudely took away the Tauntauns from the Wampa’s, only to misuse them. It’s not just a coincidence a lot of Tauntauns died during the Rebel’s presence. They didn’t give them proper food, or affection. Never a rebel sat down to have some tea with a Tauntaun, no matter how hard they worked for them. The Wampa’s are a really friendly and reasonable people, so at first, they were okay with sharing their Tauntauns. But after a while, the Wampa’s couldn’t watch their beloved Tauntauns suffering any more. So they decided to free the Tauntauns from the Rebel’s grasp. They weren’t going to hurt anyone. They just were going to end the Rebel’s tyranny over the Tauntauns. But the savage Rebels answered the Wampa’s action with gunfire. That day, Hoth’s snow turned black with Wampa blood. To prevent any further actions from the Wampa’s the Rebels confiscated all Tauntaun plushes, and even imprisoned some of their people. If they would ever attempt to ‘steal’ (as they say themselves), the Rebels would destroy all those hostages. And that’s the horrible truth contained in this room. After the attack on the base, the Wampa’s must have come back to look for their precious Tauntauns, both real ones as plush ones. I don’t want to know how few of the animals the Wampa’s have managed to save. They couldn’t find their plush toys however, because they were hidden away behind this massive door. I imagine more plush toys are stored in the next room. Maybe there’s even a cell with an abandoned Wampa body in there… Shivers run across my entire body as I read all this. Only now I see the suffering in the eyes of the Wampa that followed us. Only now I can understand how happy he must have felt when we opened the door and revealed the precious interior. Only now I see how cruel the Rebels truly are. The Wampa doesn’t seem to want to leave us. Instead, it seems like it wants to leave with us. He looks like a kid who cannot wait to share his happiness with others. Suddenly, the Wampa releases a thunderous and joyful sound. Just moments later similar roars are heard in the distance. It seems we’re going to have Wampa party here, to celebrate what they’ve found again. Then, as in an impulsive act of thankfulness, the Wampa reaches out to grab another plush Tauntaun and gives the enormous thing to us. A gift. [soNE Ep. III] A gift by Bert.VR, on Flickr Truly, this icecold planet with is inhabitants seems to give me the warmest feeling I’ve ever experienced. I’ve the feeling the Wampa’s and we are going to be close friends. ______________________ LXF File
  21. We now have full control over Echo Base, the thing left to do before we can wrap up, go home, and celebrate life day, is to destroy all the files on the main computer, along with some military equipment, and a dead Rebel Fourth Wall Commentary: I've wanted to explore Snoted walls for a while and this was a good oportunity to do so. 23. Hi guys, well, there hasn't been a lot from me at all, partly due to lack of imagination at the moment, time, money, work taking priority etc. These actually got completed back in early October to go with my crashed AT-AT diorama. So, I made an AT-ST to be minifig scale as close as possible, and a Hoth turret to go with the display. The hoth turret is my own design, I just cracked on with it, struggled like hell with the main body of it, ignored it for weeks, came up with a solution, asked opinions on the solutions, adjusted and settled for what I was personally happy with. I really like how it has come out! The AT-ST was a pain in the big behind, well and truly. The head was a bit of a struggle, but I feel I got it as close as possible to the Hoth version, although it might be a bit too wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, as well as possibly too short on the legs... The body it sits on I like and am happy with, but the legs were such a hell of a struggle to get to hold the thing up as the head is rather heavy. It is most certainly not playable with, unless you are content on it sitting down at the time! But it does stand on its own (just!) and I was eventually happy with the result. There are a couple of things I didn't quite manage to order in time, and so may be missing or miscoloured, but it is now low priority what with Christmas etc :( So anyways, here are a few pics, enjoy =D C& C welcome =D Hoth turret by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Minifig scale AT-ST by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Minifig scale AT-ST by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Minifig scale AT-ST by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Minifig scale AT-ST by Daft Vader1, on Flickr AT-ST + Hoth turret by Daft Vader1, on Flickr AT-ST fallen over lol + Hoth turret by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Minifig scale AT-AT and AT-ST Hoth display by Daft Vader1, on Flickr Lego Hoth Display by Daft Vader1, on Flickr
  24. [Datalog:] [Datalog: 0000064//Designation: TK-671//: Assignment: Inspect Integrity Strut 394] Back on the ice cube. Last assignment....did not go well. There was a spice freighter, and a power malfunction, and I...may not have been paying attention to the viewscreen, but come on, the peripheral vision in this mask sucks, I probably wouldn't've been able to see it anyway. So now I'm supposed to wander out into the frozen wastes to check on a single stupid integrity strut. Why the hell are we even trying to build stuff here? There's snowstorms every other day, integrity or not. [Datalog: 0000067//Designation: TK-671//: Assignment: Inspect Integrity Strut 394] Okay. So I'm in a little bit of a fix here. I was leaving camp for the day after dinner when I realized: I left my favorite cup behind! I mean, without that, I'd be dead out here! That thing meant everything to me!! Oh, and I left my blaster too, so I thought I'd pick that up. Anyway...there was a grapnel malfunction - entirely coincidental and the fault of nobody - and I'm kind of stuck here. I can still reach my data recorder, though my comlink...well, slipped. It's alright, though, as long as I can keep up a constant stream of recording, they'll be able to locate me once I don't show up back at base. Actually, I think if I twist just a little bit, I can re [Datalog ERROR, CRITICAL DAMAGE SUSTAINED] I'd like this judged. Mostly I just wanted to see if I could improve on the windswept snow technique I used in Daily Maintenance and do some rockwork. Most of my builds are going to be land-based, I can promise you that much. I'm pretty pleased with how the verticality of the build came out. SNOT is awesome.
