This lot encompasses my collection of LEGO Harry Potter sets from 2001-2004. Included are 100% complete inventory -Hogwarts Castle (2nd Edition) -Slytherin -Quidditch Practice -Aragog in the Dark Forest -Hagrid’s Hut (2nd Edition) -Dobby’s Release and a 99% complete -Knockturn Alley (missing 3 pieces) -Harry and the Marauder’s Map (missing 1 piece). The minifgures included are in generally good condition, with some minifgures unfortunately missing. What you see is what you get; the 2 rarest minifgures, Professors Dumbledore and Trelawney, are both included and in great condition. Looking to sell as a lot, not individually. This lot is priced to sell (Hogwarts Castle, Knockturn Alley, and Hagrid’s Hut alone go for $170, $50, and $60, respectively), so I am asking $250 for the entire lot. Feel free to comment and PM me! [warning: this is very long and wordy] Hi everyone, like the rest of you I am very excited for the revived Harry Potter theme and look forward to seeing more sets next year! After the release of the Clock Tower this year I wanted to have some fun and experiment to see how LEGO could try to complete the entire Hogwarts castle, accurate to the movies with more similar modular buildings. In this thread I’m going to show and tell what I have come up with :) These are all just sketches/prototypes, and I do not plan to design full size versions (that’s for LEGO to do ?). The models I have made are all ‘microscale’ sized and very simplified, with the ‘trophy’ figures representing minifigures, the ‘heroica’ figure representing bigfigs etc, and the 4x4 round plate representing the large hexagonal plate (89523) etc Preview examples: Firstly to get familiar with the layout and design of the castle itself I recommend watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIdYn3L2_0U. I also go by the harry potter wiki for identifying the towers etc. Firstly I decided on the scope of the ‘full castle’ when complete; LEGO for example has already excluded the large courtyards in front of the Great Hall and Clock tower, and also seems to be excluding bridges, overpasses and viaducts etc, as well as outer walls and some of the smaller buildings such as the ‘pepperpot’. So I will be doing the same, which does mean that technically not all of the final castle actually connects together… The first image shows a tiny build of Hogwarts I started with.

[MOC] GWR "Hall-Class 4900" / Hogwarts Express - Bricks-on-Rails

Good evening, everyone, Since I promised you in the last topic to design more international models besides german models, today I would like to present you the model of the "Hall-Class 4900" of the "Great Western Railway" from Great Britain. The "Hall class 4900" were tender locomotives, which were built between 1924 and 1943. A total of 259 units were built and the locomotives were used for passenger and freight traffic. The locomotive with the railway number 5972 "Olton Hall" achieved special fame. It is the locomotive shown in the Harry Potter movies, which was specially repainted for this in the well-known red coloring. The model consists of approx. 1090 parts, is approx. 66 studs long and about 10 studs wide. A Power-Functions L-motor can be installed in the boiler. The IR-receiver and the battery box find comfortably place in the large tender. Most of the decals or printed components correspond to the original LEGO parts. Furthermore, the model is equipped with numerous striking details, such as the piping, the chassis or the detailed cabin. This model is also a little bit of a premiere, because for the first time not only LEGO standard components are used, but also railway wheels in XL and M by Big Ben Bricks. I also tried the Bricklink Part-Designer for the first time. Currently the manual is available in two different versions. One as GWR "Hall-Class 4900" in dark green and one as "Hogwarts Express" in known red. I hope that you like this version in particular, because there are already some versions, even directly from LEGO. Praise and criticism are very welcome. With the new Harry Potter sets I wondered what a new Chamber of Secrets would look like. I would like the Basilisk to be moulded so I focused on the environment itself. Including the snake entrance and the tunnels Harry escaped through in the films before confronting the Basilisk again.

Motorized Harry Potter Clock Tower with Pendulum 75948 (Instruction)

I have always wanted the original 4757 Hogwarts Castle because it had a clock and a pendulum! I found its clock works to be a GREAT mystery until I could look into its instruction manual! Lego was so gracious to create the new Clock Tower and release it! I loved it very much. However, a great feature was missing: the pendulum! I decided to make minimal modifications for adding a pendulum and even motorizing it! My Clock Tower's clock work would not be a GREAT mystery because I made a video which showed how I built it! -
I just wanted to share my wip moc of the 2018 great hall set. The hall is longer and taller, the staircase tower is taller and now is 3/4 instead of the front 1/2 of the tower in addition to adding extra floors. I just created the next section (to the right of the tower) and will eventually finish that section with tower and the courtyard. Hello Lego and Harry Potter fans! I decided to share with you my MOC I did for "Magical Builds of The Wizarding World". Rowling's creation has been my passion for a very long time, but Lego returned to my life only in the end of 2015 and I am happy this contest gave me an inspiration to combine them! :) Techniques that I used here are not new at all, but still for the second MOC in my life - it's okay, I guess! What can beat Potter + Lego? Potter + Lego + Train of course :)

He have to turn the statue to find a secret book. Like many others, I felt the latest release of the Hogwarts Express was lacking. In turn, I have stuffed an M motor in the boiler, radically altered the rods (based on the Emerald Night), put the PF receiver and battery box in the tender, and added doors to the carriage (Again, a la EM). The overall effect I think is much better visually and because I can run it at events now. I've included an internals picture so anybody wishing to see how it was done and get ideas is more than welcome to. The last one links to a video of the train in action. I can't remember how to link a Flickr video right...

I was inspired by the plane chase mechanism on jk brickworks so I attempted the chase scene in 'Goblet of Fire'. After many attempts, Harry has taken to the skies again with the HH dragon in hot pursuit. Hi Eurobricks! Here is the Hogwarts Castle I made for Russian Fan Forum of Lego Moscow Festival "Builders’ Battle 2018" which was held on April 1st 2018 (this is not a joke). In 2001, when I was a little kid, I dreamt of 4709 Hogwarts Castle but could not get it because I preferred other sets such as 7163 Republic Gunship. As such, seventeen years later I made a Hogwarts MOC looking like an ultimate exclusive set from an alternate reality and combining best elements from 2001-2007 and 2010 Harry Potter sets. To overcome my bricks' limits, I took the layout of the Harry Potter theme park in Orlando. Therefore, my MOC consists of Great Hall, Grand Tower and Astronomy Tower combined with the Viaduct entrance hall: The Dementors and Hedwig fly over the castle's towers: The interior of the castle: The feast in Great Hall is full of different and tasty food: You can see floating candles, banners of the Houses and a house point-calculating machine. The entrance hall antechamber can be separated from the Great Hall: Hogwarts heraldry at the entrance: A suit of armor protects the castle, ready to be animated by the wizards: The Grand Tower is the tallest structure of Hogwarts: It includes the library, the Gryffindor common room and the Gryffindor dormitory: Harry is sneaking in the library with the help of Lumos and Marauder's Map while Ginny is drinking tea in the common room: Neville and his Remembrall: The lower floors: The dungeons and the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom which is currently used by McGonagall and Hermione for extra Transfiguration lessons: The dungeons contain the Slytherin common room and the Potions classroom: The second entrance hall, Dumbledore's office and the Divination classroom: The Astronomy Tower and the Owlery: - After all this time? - Always. During the Festival, Hogwarts was displayed on the City diorama alongside modular buildings, UFO and Ghostbusters' HQ: More photos can be seen in my Flickr album.

Since the rumor is that Harry Potter is coming back this summer, but without the Hogwarts Express. I thus made my own, but we will see if it gets built in real bricks by summer..... HP universe / Film History: Leaving from Kings Cross' Platform 9 & 3/4 to Hogsmeade Station at exactly 9 AM, the Hogwarts Express carries students (and sometimes faculty) to and from Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft & Wizardry in the Harry Potter series of books and movies. It has been seen in every Harry Potter film, from it's first appearance in the beginning of Philosophers Stone to it's last at the end of Deathly Hallows. (part two) The Hogwarts Express is usually only in the film for a short while, and it is generally a pleasant journey from Kings Cross to Hogsmeade, although Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and a certain Flying Ford Anglia might beg to differ! The Hogwarts Express is usually made up of four corridor passenger coaches, although sometimes a special fifth coach is attached with an open floor plan. The train is supplied with all kinds of goodies and sweets, from Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans to Chocolate Frogs. The locomotive is a heavily modified version of LDDModelmaker's Black 5 model with some parts from set 79111, Constitution Train Chase. The tender features a three wheeled bogie design modified from the one in Anthony Sava's ALCO MRS-1. The middle axle moves side to side, as to allow going through switches and curves without issue. The numbers 5 9 7 2 go on the sides of the tender... it's not prototypical, I know, but it works well enough. Also, The boiler is a modified version of set 79111's Constitution steam engine. In this false-color image, the red parts slide, the blue ones stay put to allow for the loco to go around curves and switches. (BTW: There are parts underneath that keep the sliding bogie from falling out.) The train is currently made up of five cars that are slightly different than the actual British Railway MK I coaches used in the films. The Hogwarts Express is usually made up of four corridor passenger coaches, although sometimes a special fifth coach is attached with an open floor plan. Also, the end car is not accurate to the films, but is what I prefer to the alternative: a gangway leading nowhere with no red light on the end. the baggage / coach car (known as a combine) three regular coaches guard coach This was made by me in Microsoft Paint sometime in 2014, and was based off a image from a Google search of the Hogwarts Railways logo. EDITED 7/4/2017 to bring up to date with new pictures and ldd file. Model to be built in real life sometime around Christmas 2017. EDITED 1/19/18: Since the rumor is that Harry Potter is coming back this summer, but without the Hogwarts Express. I thus made my own, but we will see if it gets built in real bricks by summer..... My 9 year old son started reading Harry potter when school got out in May, and knowing that we were heading to Brickfair Virginia in August, wanted to build a Quidditch scene based on the second movie together. Many Bricklink orders later and countless hours studying screenshots from the movie and our finished product was displayed this past weekend. Below are some pics that I currently have, I took most before I left, I will probably set up again and photograph more detail, once I am unpacked. The Quidditch arena is almost 7.5 feet long, has 16 accurate towers as seen in the second movie with seating at the top, a passage way to move between stands and a stairwell to climb up to the stands and towers. I tried to capture the feeling from the movie in the stands, that are made with wood and have the House colours draped over the front, with you being able to see through to the bottom of the stands. The Quidditch rings are identical to the movies as much as I could achieve. I could not source a white flexible hose in the right length for the wrings, so I purchased black ones and then spray painted with regular primer and then scratched at them to give an attempt at a worn look. There are probably over 200 school children in authentic Gryffindor and Slytherin Lego minifigures (Capes are being added as I type for the next round of photographs). Most of the school teachers are present in the stands. There is a full compliment of 7 Gryffindor and 7 Slytherin Lego Quiddich players and an additional 7 custom Hufflepuff and 7 Custom Ravenclaw Quidditch Players. The field is striped with both regular green and bright green plates and tiles (bright green is pretty scarce). We have many other activities going on in the stands and outside too, with Cheerleaders, an appearance from Willy Wonker and Hermonie dropping all of her books. Based mainly on the 2nd H.P movie we have accurately recreated one of the most iconic pop culture sporting arenas of all time. Hi everyone, We (me and my brother) have been busy for the last 5 months. We created a landscape with scenes and locations of the Harry Potter series. The landscape is 8 meter long and 1.25 meters deep. The landscape contains the Hogwarts Castle, the Burrow, London with Diagon Alley, Private Drive and Hogsmeade. The Private Drive, London and train station are built by my brother. I have built the Hogwarts Castle, Quiddith field, the Whomping Willow and Hogsmeade. The Castle was already shown at another event and was also posted on Eurobricks. Hogwarts Castle The Whomping Willow can move three branches and is powered by PF. At the Whomping Willow is scene from Prisoner of Azkaban, where Lupin turns into a werewolf. Very close to the Whomping Willow is Hogsmeade and a platform. More towards London, there is graveyard with the duel between Harry Potter and Voldemort with the presence of the Death Eaters. The Burrow is close to the graveyard. London is one street with the Diagon Alley behind it. There is a small alley between the two. At the street there is a train station with a parking lot. In the Diagon Alley there are several shops and the Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Close to the Diagon Alley is the Private Drive with three houses and a playground. At the backside of the castle, there is a boathouse. The confrontation with the Hungarian Horntale is behind the greenhouses. The Quiddith field and the Forbidden Forest are at the other side of the castle. On the Quiddith field there is a match between Slytherin and Gryffindor. In the Dark Forest there are several Threstrals and Aragog are present. In the corner of the forest, there is a confrontation between Harry Potter and Voldemort as a reference to the last part.
