  1. "This far-out VW bus is, like, full of positive vibes. No negative energy is allowed onboard, and no squares either. You're not a square are you? ...Groovy. I'm on my way to Woodstock for three days of peace, love, and music to tune in, turn on, and drop out. I'll also be protesting the Vietnam War on the way back to San Francisco. Wanna come along, man?" - The Hippie So, I was looking through my back catalog of downloaded LDD models and found this one from 2013 and the Build Together campaign Lego had at that time. They had a website for it an everything, and after a decade of waiting, this 8-wide bus finally resurfaced and caught my eye. I added a bunch of flowers, an hippie CMF fig (plus a custom female counterpart fig) and a far-out new paint job. The rear features a hitch for towing a trailer. Unfortunately the large door on the other side does not open... I didn't design it right and am NOT going to tear this apart to fix it. The inside has been decked out with all new details: a lava lamp, bed, table and chair, along with two chairs up front. As you might have guessed, the roof is mostly removable. UPDATE 1/18/23: Real world photos added! Thoughts?

    [moc] Hippie Bus

After the T3, i had to go further back in the models origin - to the more popular "T1", also known as "hippie bus" or "Bulli" (called in germany) Enjoy, feel the vibes and peace! The front HIPPEEEY BUS! by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr the back end - in this case the one of the T3, but its practically the same, just that i put round headlights on the T1 where as in here there are the cheese slopes. 3. Hi everyone! I bought a 10220 Volswagen Camper Van some time ago. It's really an iconic car so I decided to try to recreate it in ("approximately") minifig-scale. I had a really hard time to recreate the rounded colour shift in the front. However I'm pretty happy with the result. Everything's attached, no loose pieces! After finishing it I thought - why not try to create it in a mini-scale too? (Thin technic liftarms in the middle of the construction attachs studs on both directions) The complete VW Camper family! (Which one is the cutest? ) And after that... I decided to create a hippie version too! Flower Power! Hope you like it!

    Make Love Not War

This MOC was done by my wife (anabanana) for the contest. She asked me to public this on EB. She will be glad to read your comments. Year 1967 United States under pressure after the Vietnam War. Young couple Judith and Ray travels everywhere on their painted minibus "Volkswagen» (T1 Sumba bus). They are making friends and discovering new cities. The world for them is limitless! Especially because they have their own ... blimp! They deliberately rejected the choice of their fellow students of the Purdue University in Indiana to work for military defense. Instead, they decided to build an airship and go by it, bringing peace to the world. And what should it be? Of course freight! After all, where they can go without their "Volkswagen"? It would be great to control the airship from the bus then the gondola is not necessary. Judith and Ray found many like-minded people, and together airship rose skyward. This cargo airship can lift Judith, Ray and their minivan. The balloon has 4 stabilizers and two propellers. The platform is attached to the four beams that are connected in pairs holding tank with two black wide wire ropes. And there's an interesting feature: the minivan on the flight becomes cockpit. Ray made the controls of Volkswagen to be the controls of the airship by the radio waves.
