  1. (GBW- FRAGO#001) Plantasea - The Search by BoBKiD The Plantasea forces send patrols around the country in search of the missing drones. 2. FRAGO #001- Off Roading MAP NAME: STUDICA GRID: F3 - G3 Captain Beeze and his crew were pulled off of their checkpoint duty to investigate a nearby anomaly. With the recent news breaking on the missing drones from Spriznulo, multiple nations have organized searches and Filace is no different. Being a COAC Ally of Spriznulo is one thing and they will get the drone returned to them if we find it, but command is expecting a detailed study and analysis of the drone before it is returned. The team was relieved to be doing something instead of standing around waiting for the war to come to them. Command had received reports of a radar anomaly in the area and figured the team was close enough with their mobile radar site to check it out. Once they found a good elevation, they settled in and deployed small UAV, a comm relay, and turned on their radar site. The team sat until dusk when they finally got a hit. They packed up their gear. ] And headed out on their way vowing to return for the radar site.
  3. The Darker Side of Life Map Name: Studica Grid: H3 Throughout northern Briolui, scattered oil derricks and pump stations litter the arid lands providing the country with the fuel it needs to carry on. Jack: What do you make of all this? Chris: What, you mean us being here? Jack: Yeah, what do you think of our assignment. Chris: Well I'm bored sir. I'd prefer to be headed off to the front if I'm being honest. Jack: I got news for you kid, you're on the front lines. Any day now tanks might come rolling across the plains over there, or planes might come over the mountains. Keep your head on a swivel. Chris: Is this a delivery coming in? Jack: Yeah. He's here all the time hauling huge crates with his tiny tractor. Jack: Good Evening Abjan. Abjan: Good Evening my friends. Jack: A little late for a shipment tonight, no? Abjan: I don't ask these questions. With a war coming it, only makes sense that oil production will increase. They call me to drive you barrels, so I drive them. Jack: Okay, bring em in. Chris: *Whispering* You're not gonna check the truck first? Jack: No, we checked his truck for months. All it did was slow down production and waste our time. Besides, old Abjan is nothing to worry about. He's a relic of an old tribe who used to live up here in the North. For a long time they had a lot of influence in the area until they got cozy with some rebels. His family was killed years ago in a raid by our forces into his village looking for rebels. They were caught in the crossfire. I feel bad for him really. His business was ruined, he used to have one of the largest farms in the village. The old man barely scrapes by and lives alone to himself. Abjan: Hello George. George: Abjan. What are you doing here so late. Abjan: I don't ask these questions. They send me to deliver barrels, so I deliver them. George: I understand but, we just got them this morning. We don't even have anywhere to put them. George: I'm gonna go call this in and see why they sent you. Abjan: Do not make me use this George. I don't want to, but I will. If you stay out of our way, you won't get hurt. George: "Our" way? Abjan: We are here to take back what is ours. Abjan: For too long our people have stood by having our lands taken out from under us and our families killed by your government. We have laid down for too long and now with the support of your enemies, we finally have an opportunity to stand. Abjan: My men are redirecting your pump station to send the oil down the old pipeline which runs under our village. I have trucks coming to lock this station down. George: Just kill me now. Don't draw this out. Abjan: George, my friend. We are not going to kill you. You are one of the few with a brain, like Jack. You show respect to our people and know that your just our guests. No you are being spared to send a message to your government that we are through being walked on. They are going to be so tied down in their war, they won't have time to fight us too. MEANWHILE Jack: Something is wrong here. Chris: Huh? Jack: He's never here this long. I'm going to see why George isn't answering his radio. Abjan: GO! GO! Don't let them over here. Stop them! Jack: What the......

  5. The patrols returning from maneuvers in the west of Briolui had uncovered a series of points (Grid E5) through which light troops might be able to effect a ground strike into Refnor or Erotema. As plans took shape squds were tasked to reinforce some of these areas and bridging materials were brought in to facilitate higher speed deployment at a later time. Although these areas were lightly reinforced the likelihood was that the enemy wouldn't be able to bring any heavy equipment or armour to bear either. CP1-Overview by Phadeout, on Flickr The trees and other dense foilage on the other side of the river has been cut down to improve sight line for the defenders but not so much that an enemy advance would notice the claymores wired in to tear apart a charging infantry force. 8. Shutting Down the Highway Map Name: Studica Grid: F3 Captain Beeze made his way from the far end of the country from deep in the jungle to take command of a new infantry unit. Their task was to guard and shut down the highway coming into Filace. There was a problem though. Late last night before the unit setup the position, a suspicious crate was left in the road. An EOD unit was called on scene to take care of the crate. Then there was an explosion. Beeze ran out from behind cover to see what was going on and the EOD Officer stood baffled and in shock. He walked down the road since the danger had clearly passed. And inspected the damage..... He thought to himself: Shiiiii.... Well I dont have to worry too much about blocking the road now. But if command finds out, they're going to blame me for destroying the highway. One hell of a first day with these new guys. The crews continued to man their posts looking on at the captain wondering if this was a sign of the things to come. There were men running a small border radar site... Some soldiers stood atop a guard tower and ran a radio relay.... Others patrolled... For the time being this would be their home and duty until command sent them to do something useful.

Job Well Done! _____________________________________________________________ Filace’s aerial bombing of the Central Radar Station in retaliation for Briolui’s seizure of the facility has caused a rapid buildup of forces on both sides. Countries in Studica are activating their reserve and inactive units in preparation for the unexpected. The COAC believes an invasion from Briolui to be imminent with the capture of several spies and recon teams, but they don’t know where it will occur. Briolui and its regional RON allies have stepped up their intelligence gathering in Filace and other COAC countries. With the recent hostilities between the RON and COAC reaching an all time high, countries on both sides have put their military forces on high alert and called most of their citizens home. Campaign Guidelines Countries that are part of the COAC are to build MOCs depicting their side digging in and preparing for an invasion. Research what countries have done in recent conflicts to prepare for invading forces. Though not always directly in the crosshairs, nations may do certain things to prepare for war. Countries in the RON are to build MOCs depicting their side mobilizing offensive forces and preparing to support an offensive campaign. Research what countries have done to prepare for an invasion in modern times. The first Gulf War is a great example. The Coalition that liberated Kuwait was comprised of over 20 nations, not all of them were involved in the assault. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP1)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP1) Filace - Fueling up the Jets") Being that this is the first campaign, a strong emphasis should be placed on depicting your country in a unique form (Geography, Culture, Military Equipment, ETC.) The more original and in depth your depiction is, the more points you can earn. Be sure to include a Map Listing Name and Grid based on the maps we've created. There is no minimum or maximum size requirement for this build. All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Photo Editing is to be kept to a minimum with only real edits of lighting and color correction. No special effects. Players may crop one picture of their MOC onto a background picture to help with their landscape if they’d like. This is not allowed for LDD. Pictures cannot be bigger than 800x600 Players may post a link to an offsite host such as Flickr where a Higher Res pics are located. Be cool and share your photos in the GBW Flickr Group! Please refer to the General Rules Topic for limitations based on your Point Level. Upon completion, players must also post a link to their build in the AAR Thread as well letting the judges know that it is eligible for scoring. Campaign Duration 3/17/17 - 4/17/17 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 4/17/17 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome The winning team will be given a choice to attack or defend in the next campaign All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. All players who participate in the first build will be deemed GBW Pathfinders and will earn this tag ANY QUESTIONS or COMMENTS ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN SHOULD BE POSTED HERE.
  11. Side Build 3 - Supporting the War Effort Map Name: Studica Grid E3 Brickeon technologies, a top technology company and contractor to the Filace government has been working night and day to try and finish a project they are working on along the South Central border of Filace. Mount Brickest borders the river running through Studica at its Southern base. The river is so massive in some spots that it reaches over 4 miles wide during rainy seasons. Brickeon has worked with several construction firms to establish a network of channels under the mountain accessible from the River and by land in the North. The company had been stalled in it's construction for some time due to a shortage in metals needed to support the internal structuring of the facility. A recent deal with Tosul has opened a flood gate of materials needed to complete the job. Brickeon's project manager, Arthur Hastings, stands overseeing one of the recently built channel docks. A former intelligence officer in the Filace military, Hastings wonders whether or not this recent transaction with Tosul actually hinged on their willingness to back down from New Brickika. Security is tight as every one of Brickeon's workers in the facility is closely guarded and checked. Officials from the Filace Government and High Ranking Military Officers visit the facility almost on a daily basis to observe its progress. Though incomplete, the military has started using the facility at a limited capacity to stage operations to prepare for the coming days. Everything from use as a forward operating base for special forces to unloading and inventorying equipment and supplies for future operations is underway. A joint custody of the base will be held by the Department of the Navy, the Army's Early Warning & Control Service, and Brickeon will remain on hand to service the advanced technological equipment. The Navy intends to start utilizing the channels as soon as possible.

  13. Not short on manpower the Briolui military machine sent a number of small groups in the mountains near their borders with Refnor and Erotema to scout the area for possible staging areas and routes that could be used to allow access deeper into enemy country should the need arise. The terrain seen here isn't too hostile but further into the mountains things would become more challenging undoubtedly.. gbwtm1_5 by Phadeout, on Flickr It was also thought to be a good opportunity for infantry troops to gain some alpine training, with several mountainous regions in the possible conflict zone it was deemed a worthwhile and relatively low risk exercise before any serious hostilities erupted. Every advantage gained now could pay for itself many times over when the sides warring groups met head on. gbwtm1_7 by Phadeout, on Flickr gbwtm1_2 by Phadeout, on Flickr gbwtm1_6 by Phadeout, on Flickr All the action here takes place in E5 for those interested, whether or not these troops had crossed any borders, well that would be telling...
  14. This is Thierry Laurent bringing you the morning news update here on Briolui Breakfast. Newsdesk1 by Phadeout, on Flickr We are going straight to our reporter in the field, Marie Duchamps, who has breaking news from our capital, Vieuxfort. Marie, what do you have for us? Reporter by Phadeout, on Flickr Thank you, Thierry, we are here in the quartier des ponts, behind me armed forces, seemingly led by a member of the usually secretive Military Intelligence, have arrested a man known to originally be from Refnor but living here in Briolui for over ten years on what appears to be a series of charges related to an attempt to assassinate a top military figure. Further details are unavailable at this time, but it is clear that a weapon appearing to be some form of sniper rifle has been removed from the property as well as a laptop and other devices. If this is the case can we assume that he was an agent operating at the request of his government or a lone terrorist? There are many questions and it seems Military Intelligence will not be making an official statement at this time but I suspect we will hear more about this later today. Arrest1 by Phadeout, on Flickr Thank you Marie, well even with all the facts still to be released we can expect an increase in the tension between the native people of Briolui and the not inconsequntial number of residents originally from Refnor, and indeed Filace. Speaking as an individual I would urge citizens to be vigilant but remember that the vast majority of the people of these countries are hard-working, honest folk, albeit the ones from Refnor are normally a little bit stupid and only really useful for manual labour. And now sport. Full shot of the build Arrestoverview by Phadeout, on Flickr

  16. Side Build 2 - Troop Build Up Map Name: Studica Grid H2 A crack team of Commandos operating along the North Eastern Border between of Filace and Briolui has setup and FOB in the jungle for future troop reinforcements. With the help of the locals, the team established the small basics for a base, but much work still needs to be done. The area is remote and would make no sense for either side to commit a lot of forces to as the jungle is so dense, they would have casualties just moving through it. The commando team is about to be relieved by team of regular army troops coming. Hawkins: ...... so that was the first time my girlfriend eve.. Blaine: I DON'T WANNA HEAR YOUR BS GIRLFRIEND JOKES ANYMORE HAWKINS! Hawkins: Not all of us are sexual tyranosaurs like you Blaine. Blaine: Mac and Billy should be coming back soon. Entering just outside the FOB Perimeter.... Mac: That was some weird brick Billy, get us out of here. Billy: We're almost there Mac. Billy: Major, you'd better take a look at this. Dutch: What the brick is that.... Billy: We found this girl out on our patrol. She was frozen still in a pool of someone else's blood. She said the jungle came alive and took her friend. We pulled her out and on our way back we found her friend, or what was left of him. Dutch: You've got to be kidding. Anna: IT'S NOT A JOKE! When I was little, we found a man. He looked like - like, butchered. The old woman in the village crossed themselves... and whispered crazy things, strange things. "El Diablo cazador de hombres." Only in the hottest years this happens. And this year, it grows hot. We begin finding our men. We found them sometimes without their skins... and sometimes much, much worse. "El cazador trofeo de los hombres" means the demon who makes trophies of men. Dutch: I'll call it in. The army can investigate this.... "Predator" when they get here. We are not sticking around here when the choppa arrives. Mac: This is some bad bush man. We need to bail outta here. Forget Briolui, the Jungle'l' kill you here. Dutch: Base, this is Dutch. How long until choppa arrival. On The Radio General: We're coming in on your position now. General: Team's lookin good Dutch. Dutch: It's been a long time General. Gonna have your hands full with this jungle creature. Who knows, might be a Brioului Super Weapon. General: Captain. Start moving the men into the base to relieve Dutch's team. Beeze: You heard the General. Let's go guys. Dutch: (To the General) What is this, you have a whole crew of officers with you now? General: Bunch of young officers getting moved around from place to place with this mobilization. He'll be off to the help organize the main defense soon enough. Lt. Stone: You guys can clear out. We got this. Blaine: Be careful who you tell what to do junior. Butterbar punk with your nightvision, ha. Won't help you out here. Let's go boys. Dutch: Good Luck General! The helicopter took off and the Army Unit moved into the base steadily upgrading the fortifications and setting up their gear. Beeze: General. I don't know what those guys were talking about, our guys see nothing in 5 miles with a heat signature larger than bird. General: We'll keep scanning the area Captain. Tomorrow you'll be taking a patrol out before you ship off to the front.

  19. The Great Brick War Catalyst Part III- Operation Jackal Preparation has begun for an Operation in response to the Briolui Radar Station Seizure. Filace is cool and calm, but also understands it is now under a lot of pressure with the additional capture of Toohati operatives working on their side of the border to disrupt their way of life. Though Brioului and Toohati have yet to formally declare war, Filace believes they will wait until just before they are ready to strike. Filace has put together a small team of crack soldiers to cross the border into Briolui and begin the first stage of a multi part Operation titled "Jackal" to even the odds. Electronic AWACs indicates that Briolui has not gotten the Radar Site up and full functional since taking it over. One of the civilian contractors informed the intelligence service that they disabled a system prior to being evacuated. Briolui will fix the problem, but it is taking them some time. Map Name: Studica - Grid E4- 2 Miles from the Border to Briolui- 2200 Hours Nightstalker Pilot: Base, this is Nightstalker 3-4, we are dropping the Cobra package now. Cobra Team, you're up. 20 seconds to drop. This one's gonna be tight. Cobra 1: Roger that. Let's go guys, get to the ramp. Cobra 2: Damn! Look at how close those trees are! Cobra 3: These pilots sure have a big pair of.... CUTTING IN Nightstalker Pilot: 10 Seconds to Ground. Hold On! We are doing a quick touch and go. Cobra 1: Roger. Let's go! Nightstalker Pilot: Touchdown. GO! GO! GO! Good luck boys! Cobra 3: We are all off and clear Nightstalker 3-4. Thanks for the ride. Cobra 2: Lets get to that tree line. The team broke into the jungle to get out of the open. Though still in friendly territory, the team wanted to remain undetected by both friend and foe so they traveled only by night. They had a long journey ahead of them which would last a few days. This was not a race, it was a marathon. The team switched over to secure internal comm channels and use throat microphones to communicate. Cobra 1: 3 this is 1, how's our rear looking? Cobra 3: Rear looks good. She must work out. Cobra 1: This is me laughing 3...... Cobra 3: Rear is all clear 1. It's getting a good look at this damn heavy Laser Designator. Cobra 2: How long we going tonight 1? Cobra 1: At a minimum we're crossing that border tonight. Radio Silence unless we run into something from here on out. The team comfortably made it across the border and was on high alert. The south central portion of Grid E4 has a massive lake in it. The team trekked through the night right up until about 0400 Hours and false dawn quickly approached. The Cobra team skirted along the lake a bit before setting up their NDP (Night Defensive Position). The team circled the NDP twice to make sure they were alone. The team went down for the day and took shifts sleeping and eating. Well inside enemy territory, everyone was on high alert. Before moving out, Cobra 1 called in a SITREP to home base. Cobra 1: Base, this is Cobra. How copy over. Crackling Radio: We have you loud and clear Cobra. What is your status? Over. Cobra 1: We are proceeding to Rally Point 1 in Grid E5 and will be there before First Light. Crackling Radio: Roger Cobra. Be advised, Phase 2 of Operation Jackal will be in motion at that time. It is imperative that you relay any issues in a timely manner so we can abort if necessary. Satellite scans indicate you should have little to no interaction with others before reaching the target. Cobra 1: Solid Copy on your last Base. Cobra 1 Out. The team moved out and started Night 2 of their journey. Though they had no encounters, the terrain proved to be quite difficult as they gained elevation. The vegetation was thick and overgrown drastically slowing the teams progress. By the time they found a suitable position to go quiet for the day hours, they were exhausted and in need of a break. Similar to the day before, the team slept and ate in shifts only this time it was abit of a heavier sleep. Cobra had only a few more miles to cover this evening. Before moving out, Cobra 1 again called in a SITREP Cobra 1: Base this is Cobra over. Crackling Radio: We have you Cobra. Status Check. Cobra 1: We succeeded in hitting rally point 1 last night. No signs of detection. We are (3) miles from our final position. As of now Jackal is a go. Any update? Crackling Radio: Good to hear Cobra. Jackal Phase 2 is in motion. Switch to secure comm channel Charlie after this transmission for tomorrow evening to make your SITREP. We will be joined by another contact, Callsign Gunslinger. How Copy. Over. Cobra 1: Cobra confirms. Switching to Secure Channel Charlie after transmission. Will make contact with Gunslinger. Crackling Radio: Cobra be advised. Today's satellite scans indicate you boys are not alone out there. Vehicle patrols are now occurring in your neck of the woods. Be on Alert. Confirm when you are in position of the target. Over. Cobra 1: Copy last transmission. Cobra will confirm target on arrival base. Cobra out.
  20. The Great Brick War Catalyst Part 2 Along the southern border of Filace, a river runs from Briolui, through the Red Basin, continues on to Erotema, and flows out to the Ocean. The river borders several small towns just outside of an industrial district. Several areas in the district have been abandoned over the years as manufacturing jobs have moved into the more modern districts in the North. It has been rumored that Saboteur groups trained by the Toohati government have been utilizing the river to infiltrate this district and smuggle in resources to continue their campaign of sabotage throughout Filace. This is one of those facilities. Studica Map- Grid E4- Safe House 3- An abandoned warehouse in an industrial district of Filace. Bodie- Are we on schedule? Saboteur- Our team is finishing their final prep. We will be heading out to Rally Point 1 shortly. From there, we will cover our tracks and then make our way to the power plant. We've been sent intel informing us that this site may be compromised. Saboteur- Compromised?! Bodie- Relax and do your job. 21. The Great Brick War Catalyst Part I More than two decades ago the countries of Filace and Briolui worked on a joint project to build a highly advanced radar station with early warning capabilities for both aircraft and missiles. The site has been vigorously updated throughout the years to stay ahead of the technological curve. Designated the "Don-2N Site", the facility is maintained by a Civilian contractor team and a small security force from Filace though it sits deep inside Briolui territory in the mountains. Filace was the primary financier for the site, so they run the facility and share the information with Briolui. Guard 1: What do you think about everything going on right now in the new? Guard 2: Doesn't really matter what I think. Egos and agendas are a higher priority than peace apparently. Guard 1: Yeah, I don't know. That's kinda..... Hey do you hear that? Guard 2: *INTO RADIO* Base, this is Guard. We're hearing something approaching out here. Can you confirm anything on the scope? *LOUD SPEAKER* - Briolui ID'd convoy approaching. Guard 1: What is going on now? Guard 2: I can only imagine. A convoy with several troops, a truck, and a tank are spotted by the guards on the road toward the Radar Station. They are all brandishing weapons at the ready. Colonel Dillon: Bringing up the General now. General Shaw: You can stand easy guards, we are looking to do this the easy way. Guard 2: Do what exactly, General? General Shaw: Briolui is assuming control of this facility. All Military and Civilian Personnel who comprise this facility from Filace are to be evacuated out on transport vehicles we have arriving momentarily. Guard 1: You're not assuming control, you're forcing us out. General Shaw: You can word it however you'd like soldier, this facility now belongs to Briolui. Upon your return to Filace, you can tell your commanders we intend to keep it. Colonel! Colonel Dillon: Yes General? General Shaw: See to it personally that these people are delivered safely. We wouldn't want to spark a powder keg over something as trivial as this. Coming Soon! Interested in helping run the game? PM me.
