1. Well, 2.5 years later it's *almost* finished! Here is our moc of Elvendale and the Dragon Sanctuary. What started off as a fairly simple moc of the village quickly got out of hand and grew to include a mountain, our version of the Dragon Sanctuary, a goblin village and more! We took inspiration from the Animated series and the original sets, but added our own twist. Elvendale village includes the bakery, a mining store and a little house. Behind stands the Elvenstar tree. The Dragon School can be found high up on a rocky outcrop, by a high waterfall The Elvenstar Tree Follow the road East of the village (past the mushroom stairs into the Elvenstar Tree) and you'll come to the old windmill that sits above Naida's cove: Take the path west up the mountain and you'll find the entrance to the crystal mine. If you don't like the look of that, cross the winding stream to reach the mountain meadow, but beware - you might be being watched! Look up and you'll see the floating islands... And reaching into the clouds, the Dragon Sanctuary itself... The sanctuary had stood empty for as long as any elf could remember, and a huge tree was taking over. But when the goblins were saved from Kronan, they came to work for the elves and they soon had it back up and running... A bit of plumbing here, a fire there... The queen egg sits on top of a magic pool. The water is piped over the water egg, collected and used to water the branches round the earth egg. The goblins collect the wood and use it to feed the fire under the fire egg, and the hot air rises to turn the fans by the wind egg. Keep going West, and you'll come down the other side of the mountain. Rosalyn's healing hideout stands by the beach, and a mysterious entrance... ...which leads into the underground goblin village! The plants look fearsome, but they're friendly really... Maybe stop for refreshments in the inn? Ah, so that's how they get in! Keep going and you'll find yourself right back where you started - back in Elvendale Village! Of course, walking is fine, but it's much quicker to go by dragon! And here are a couple of bonus pics: Whole thing from the front (sorry about the background, I don't have anywhere big enough to properly photograph it!) And the back: Thanks for looking! There are lots more photos on my Flickr, including WIP and comparisons of the original artwork/sets and our versions. https://www.flickr.com/gp/160994572@N02/535Fa1
2. I decided to modify some parts of the Goblin Village set and to add my own structures to make the playset feel much bigger
3. Hello! :) There'll be a lot of reviews of new Elves sets soon, but I think it can't be too many of them anyway :) So I decided to make one again! I've build beautiful Aira's Airship of Elves 2017 and here's some pictures of it. Hope you like it too :) Overall impression reminds me split of two amazing sets from first wave - Naida's Adventure Ship and Pegasus Sleigh with all that fancy-styled details and pleasing color scheme. Ant that's great! Play features became less peaceful: while only weapon of team of Andventure ship was frying pan, heroes of new story have boomerang and disc shooter, and little goblin with flying backpack looks more menaceful than sea shell or little dragon's house :) Most intriguing part of the main building for me was wing mechanism. It have a lot intresting joints, even gear mechanism that keeps wings in raised position. Movement is enough tight, it's not very light and smooth, and needs a little effort. But anyway I really liked that it adds technic building expirience. Intresting parts: lots of gold makes happy my inner magpie! :D Book with air symbol is my favorite item here! I like Aira most of all characters, so I glad that here's new stuff with her symbols. Boomerang is also nice weapon for an intelligent character. Map is classical feature of this series. All theese pretty items may be storaged in pantry of the airship! Also there's box with ammo for disc-shooter. Goblin's fliyng box. I can't find out how this bolts shoot :( When I press them as shown in istruction, they just falls down, may be I make it wrong way. But I don't mind it, because I like boxes :) The goblin himself looks like an desperate person that can bring a lot of troubles for elves! :) And here's comparisions :) New amulet also fits good to regular lego minifig. There were two amulets on one mould, like golden keys from other sets. This old and respectable guy is honored to show it to you! :) (it's only minifig that saved from my former collection) Comparision with Naida's Adventure Ship from 2015. Three Airas! And last picture - Aira's airfleet, of Elvendale Airlines inc. =) Also here's my jetbike moc :) Thanks for watching! I hope this will attract more intrest for this beautilul series!
4. Hello! I already happened to get first of new elves sets - it appeared in some shops in Russia. So I can't wait to share my impressions with you :) Hope you'll like it too! In my opinion this year designesrs really succeed to make a bit more gender-neutral buildings in this series - as I began to unpack the box, my husband grabbed bags and started to build, he said this will be his dragon :D (to mention, he is not intresed much in other dragons) So, here's what is inside the box: And what it become: It's look really dangerous because it's horns, claws and thorns, and I liked curved design and how posable it is. Leg joints is solid and move only in one dimension, it is made as Draqon Queen legs with "+" holes in it. Earlier I worried that new color combination is not very harmonic, but in real it looks better than on photos, so as most of Lego sets. Also bionicle ball joints and details makes it different from good dragons, and this is fresh but still keeps familiar style. View from the top: There are whole 5 horns on it's head! Also nice printed symbol of Goblin King. Comparision to Zonya, the fire dragon, thay are the same size. Wyvern may fold it's wings and stand on them like on front limbs. That's epic! Some intresting steps from instructions: And new illustration in the end of book: There is some images from new app, and characters are depicted in the old realistic style :) And this surprised me a lot! A piece of rocky enviroment has simple and elegant mechanism that tosses up the crystal plate. 1x1 crystals is nice new feature. And there's new little blue piece with rounded corner: All characters: Goblin hair and shirt are not printed, it's moulded from different colours of plastic like baby dragons. Also, King's crown made with same method. I liked textile used for coat, it's dense and hanging under its own weight. I just a little worried why King and wyvern don't have names :( Little bear and her baby will complement the zoo of cute animals! By the way, squirrel, fox, pigeon and others are favorite charachers of my young sister :) And at last, I have such diorama of dark elves! I rebuilded green pool to make it look as it is in movie. By the way, ninjago ghosts became castle guards :) And so, I glad that new set gives feeling of new turn of elves' story and adds depth to it - that is most important :)
5. Hi everyone, I have created a small landscape based on the first novel of the Harry Potter series. The scene is the first time that Harry is in Gringotts with Hagrid by his side and they are escorted by Griphook through the caves. I wanted a few tracks in the built and one of the tracks needed a drop. I was glad that I had the right tubes to create the track. Here is a picture of the built. Here is the link to my Flickr album. https://www.flickr.com/photos/137652851@N07/albums/72157673161817395/with/29253037211/ The photo's are also on my brickshelf account. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=564894 Questions and feedback are welcome. 6. Bought some LEGO Ninjago Anacondrai Battle Mech polybag 30291 polybags since they went on sale in our area. I thought they would make good battle mechs for my Goblin minifigures. When I did a straight up build I was put off by the purple parts so I decided to modify the build and made 2 variations: Calling this the "Bobcat" Calling this the...uhmmm... "Chicken" I have another polybag but I could not think of another design. Any of you here got any alternate builds for this poly? Thanks.
7. http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=nine09nueve I have a BIG collection of goblin bits for sale - at the cheapest or almost cheapest world prices! Please help me shift these bits so I can buy more stuff (can't buy more until I make some cash) Much Love D
8. Goblin raiding party based on the S13 CMF. As you can see, the centre front one is the S13 goblin except with a cleaver instead of a sword and short legs, not long ones. Back row from left: Thug, Sniper, Soldier Front row from left: Barbarian, Boss, Stabber Questions? Comments? Call to arms?
9. First of all, an enormous thank you to my good friend Josh (armoredgear7) for doing a fantastic job editing the photos. This was built after seeing the Amazing Spider-man 2 movie. Since it was for Brickworld, big and complex were two adjectives that were prevalent in my mind. The creation includes all three of Spider-man's villains from the movie, Electro, Green Goblin and of course the Rhino, which I posted as a teaser earlier this year. Although certainly tough, it was a fun build, and from the compliments I got at both Brickworld and Brickfete, it was apparently a very enjoyable site. The full interview and scope of the build can by seen on my (I apologize, my ego seems to know no bounds :P). The Amazing Spider-man 2, Spider-man and all related names, images, etc. are property of Sony Pictures Entertainment and MARVEL Entertainment LLC. All rights reserved. Logo found here. Thanks for stopping by true believers, and prepare for more stuff soon! Also, thanks to my awesome friends from ToroLUG. I couldn't have done it without you. Maybe next year I'll build something more stable... Available to view on flickr. Excelsior!

Goblins

My latest builds have been sculptures, while I'm still finding my feet in this new genre, I thought I'd have a go at a Golbin, medieval style. Let me know what you think, please. Goblins. by Taz-Maniac, on Flickr
13. As the goblins were preparing for another day of digging in the mines, the one know to the others as Grysnyk clambered up to the balcony the overseers used to give orders and address the laborers. He began speaking to the goblins going about their morning preparations. Grysnyk: Goblins of the North! Why do we labor here in the King's mines? Why are we treated as slaves? Why are we trodden underfoot like filth? Why do we let them do this to us?!? Don't you desire something better? Where you can be free? Goblins: Yes! Yes! Grysnyk: In a few minutes, the warden will come to enforce their cruel rule! When he does, seize him and do as you. See fit! Goblins: Yes! Dance of Time prolouge 001 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr The warden walked in, but it wasn't the usual. It was a new lad, fresh faced and nervous for his first day in the mines. With cries of murder and hate, the goblins swept up and seized him. He barely had time to recognize what was happening before it was over. Dance of Time prolouge 010 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr A few seconds later, and the deed was done. A uprisal was started, and there was no going back. Dance of Time prolouge 014 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr Here's one more shot of the wole build. Dance of Time prolouge 018 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr Please tell me what you think, and stay tuned for the next chapter!

MOC: The Goblin's Lair

Spiderman 2: The Goblin's Lair Ah Marvel…it’s like the enemy to my DC…er something. In general, I like Marvel, though mostly just it’s Cinematic Universe, but I’ve always had trouble trying to build creations for them—until now of course. For awhile, I’ve wanted to make the Goblin Lair from the end of the film Spiderman 2; and with a few cheap purchase from Ebay, I finally had the pieces to do so. Obviously I was waiting on the bombs most of all (There's a total of 35 in this creation). Anyways what you’re looking at is the first Marvel creation I’ve ever posted anywhere, so I hope you enjoy the Goblin’s Lair… (Click on the Picture to be taken to it's Flickr page) Enjoy ~Nemo
15. There is a fog upon the battlefield. The broken bodies of men and machine lay limp on the bloodied ground. The battered remains of battle machines still hiss out smoke. This waste, this destruction, could be caused by only one thing: The Goblin. In response to the Attatech III, the Central Machines X was born and bred for total warfare. With four massive 6 cm cannons, four missle lauchers, and reverse-seated machine gunners, the Goblin is a veritable walking fortress. Here is an aged photo, which, as you know, I like to do. Here is the valiant crew! I hope you enjoy. More pictures on Brickshelf.
