    The Ghost of Lady Sharpe

Hello all! My latest Lego build is a bust of Lady Sharpe from Guillermo Del Toro's Crimson Peak. While not a major figure in the movie, an album filled with pictures of the ghost actors in their prosthetic make-up made me interested in doing this build. It joins my collection of Del Toro figures; the faun, Pale Man, and Hellboy. Enjoy! Feel free to leave a comment or concern. :)

    [MOC] The forgotten

Not too far from you there is a cemetery with an unmarked grave. Nobody remembers who lies there but it is said he can not rest. He waits for something to happen or for somebody, It can be you. My last MOC. I had the minifigure and I had to build something.
  3. I got Master Wu's Dragon (70734) a while back. It's a cool set but there were a few aspects of the dragon that I felt could do with tweaking so I modded it as follows: reconfigured the neck block to increase the angle of articulation (not easy to see in the picture) removed the clip and flagpole assembly from the dragon's back made the tail more substantial by doubling it and changed the finials to katanas. I also altered the ghosts/spirit warriors: I'm into fantastic, mythological and historical LEGO generally and, as you may have guessed, not a devotee of the Ninjago story-line set out by TLG. Apologies to any Ninjagoers who were expecting canonical representations.
  4. Since I just found out that the Hatbox ghost is back (hooray!), I decided to show off the few good things I saved from my mediocre Haunted Mansion mod. Here's Hattie himself. This figure is not purist. The cape was altered to be a bit ripped on the sides, and the spikes were removed. The torso's not much of an overcoat, but I don't know what would be better. The necktie is also colored over. I'm not happy with the loose connection of the handle to the "hatbox", but I can't think of any better ideas. Of course, with a switch of heads, the effect can be replicated. The black outfit helps to conceal the black head. He'd probably look better lit in blue, though. The Conservatory was the only other scene I thought came out well. There's a headless minifigure with white arms holding up the lid, and the Raven and a candlestick are on top. The ripped tablecloth was my idea. So that's it! I'd like to make more characters from the ride, and I think a Singing Bust will be possible with the screaming ghost head in CMF S14. Constance hasn't worked out yet, since there aren't any white female heads with smirks. Madame Leota would work if there was a black version of the Hobbit hair (I could put the head into these.) Overall, I'm just showing these because I love the ride! I'd love some ideas, though.
  5. With all the Ninjago polls floating around here, I thought I'd make another one. Ninjago has been around now for FIVE years! That is amazing for an action theme! To top that, Ninjago is in its prime now- sales are still strong and are even climbing from what I have seen. What do you think will happen to the Ninjago line in the upcoming years? Will it continue? If so, what will the overall theme be next year? Will it be canceled? Will it be replaced? What effect will the movie have on the theme? Post your opinions here!
  6. Since I could not find any Star Wars REBELS MOCs in the MOC index, neither mine nor those of other MOCers, and since the MOC index has no category for MOCs based on the Star Wars REBELS animated series, I decided to collect all of my vehicles here in this thread for easy reference and document them with nicely edited photographs. This obviously means that I will update this thread regularly, since I continually build MOCs based on the show - from tiny speeder bikes to large transports. The GHOST This MOC is finished at last. This final version has been improved by building the outer edges in SNOT, which results in straight edges that perfectly define the basic shape of the ship and a cleaner, smoother look. Also, the proportions have been improved by elongating the hull between the dorsal gun turret and the PHANTOM's docking station by two studs and making the main engines as well as the fin a bit longer, too. The model is built at roughly half-minifig-scale, but fits minifigs in the cockpit and at the battle stations and also sports some other interior and play features. The PHANTOM can also be detached from the GHOST and has room for a minifig in the cockpit and another minifig or up to two cargo containers in the passenger/cargo area. The model is 62 studs long, 44 studs wide and 21 studs high. ***Will be updated with more pictures.*** ____________________________________________________________ Imperial Assault Carrier (Gozanti Class Cruiser) This MOC is finished and also includes a quite roomy interior. as with all my builds, it is very sturdy and can be picked up easily at the wings. As of now, the model has a retractable landing gear, but it is a little bit flimsy for the weight of the model and needs reinforcing when deployed. The model is built at roughly half-minifig-scale and is in scale to the GHOST. The model is 81 studs long, 40 studs wide and 20 studs high. ***Will be updated with more pictures.*** ____________________________________________________________ ***Pictures of other, smaller completed MOCs will follow.*** Enjoy!
  7. Sergio's LEGO Ghostbusters headquarters has not made it past the LEGO Ideas review stage. I suspect the size of the project might have had something to do with it. Sergio's LEGO Ghostbusters headquarters with interior included is made up out of 5704 bricks. To date there have only been two official LEGO sets which consisted of more than 5000 bricks. With that in mind I have designed a smaller LEGO Ghostbusters headquarters in the same scale as the LEGO modular buildings. The backside of the building has been left open for playability and display. For even better access the stairs can be removed. The interior has been recreated as faithfully as possible from the Ghostbusters movies. The wall panel with the bell and the office area were quite a challenge. They are build half sunk into the double walls. The blank square behind Venkman's desk is supposed to be a framed black and white photograph from the original Ghostbusters movie. I still need to make a legofied version of this and add it in. I've included, among other things, a camera and monitor setup showing a terror dog, a "last of the petty cash" meal, a dancing toaster, and jars of slime. At some point I would like to do a side-by-side comparison of screenshots from the movies and the LEGO versions. The pinball machine is supposed to have a Star Gazer backplate. I still need to make a legofied version of this and add it in. Janine Melnitz and Louis Tully minifigures. Making a smaller Ghostbusters headquarters does require a smaller Ecto-1. Brent's Ecto-1 unfortunately won't fit inside the building, at least not without removing a large part of the ground floor interior. But perhaps LEGO could include the smaller version of Ecto-1, similar to how LEGO included a smaller version of Metalbeard in Metalbeard's Sea Cow set. The number of bricks used comes to 3008 bricks with the smaller Ecto-1 not included, and 3264 bricks with the smaller Ecto-1 included. Which would mean the LEGO Ghostbusters headquarters would cost somewhere around €190 with the smaller Ecto-1 not included, and somewhere around €210 with the smaller Ecto-1 included. I've submitted this building on the LEGO Ideas site. It currently has about 4000 supporters, so it can still use some support. Help make this become a real LEGO set and support! 9. Halloween isn't popular in my country (but marketers are trying to change this). However, LEGO monsters are cute (or maybe they not?) and I built some vignettes with them. 10. This Modular Ghostbusters Headquarters has been sized to fit in with the LEGO Modular Series. (Developed for LEGO Ideas by OGELSBOB (formerly known as "LEGODT") Only 16-studs wide. Thanks to Sergio512 for the wonderful design of the LEGO Ideas submission: Ghostbusters HQ. I copied some of the build techniques and design elements of the Sergio512 design to inspire the creation of this modular-sized Ghostbusters Headquarters. The garage door facade is made of dark brown 1x4 tiles that cover 1x5x8.5 stockade doors. In order to fit the Ecto-1 Cadillac inside the building with inward swinging doors, I had to extend the depth of the standard 32 stud baseplate by 16 studs. This creation is 16 studs by 48 studs. You can see from the photos that this creation fits in nicely with modular-proportioned buildings. The interior features a pod for Dr.Egon, Dr. Peter, Dr. Raymond & Winston Zeddemore to perform their duties and to relax with some snacks. Little do they know that above their secure pod, Slimer, a ghastly apparition, is about to invade their inner sanctum. What does everyone think about the playability of this MOC? [MOD] Ghost improved

It's been a while since I've posted here, due to a focus on other creative hobbies. But with the release of the first two Star Wars Rebels sets, it was time for me to dive into my legos again and improve on the official builds. I really dig the design of the characters and the Ghost, which once more is a spaceship with a lot of character. My goal was to keep the size and not make the model bigger, because I like the size of the official set - it's small enough to be handled but big enough to have it look like a huge vehicle. I mean, it's bigger than my modified AT AT. So, while keeping the size, I fiddled with making the plating less messy, integrating the docked Phantom more smoothly into the Ghost, and correcting some proportions - especially in the front. The latter entailed moving the gunner bubble on the nose and the cockpit canopy 2 studs forward to make the raised area between cockpit and the gun turret on top longer. This created more room in the accessible area behind the pilot seat, so that the Ghost can now transport more minifigs. Checking the first finalized renders of the Ghost on the internet, I also added a white 'ring' where the transparent front gunner bubble connects to the fuselage. I also used longer, steeper slope bricks for the geometric shapes on each side of the front gunner bubble. Last, but not least, I added fully retractable landing gear, as such a huge ship should aleays have. I hope you like it - in any way, please comment, criticise or make suggestions:

    !n the dark of Augmar

The dark of Augmar is stuff out of childrens ghost stories, the places that kids get dared to go and are threatened with as punishments for wrongs. Liliandra has found it the best place to settle, very quiet and away from everything apart from the nature. different nature to what most would fancy. the old druid is about to get a visitor. Gladia, asking for her daughter, Brianas hand... well here I am, haven't been building much, haven't had the time and ive had my lego packed up anyway but heres something :) enjoy!

    Mini-MOD - Spongebob Flying Dutchman

I saw this llittle ship in the Lego store and just had to try to pirate-ify it. Will probably replace the plastic sail asap with that cloth sail from that old raft set. The aim of all my MODs is - to make the set in line with pirate sets of the original pirate lines - to dejuniorise them if I can - to try to expand the Pirates universe (new factions, new ideas) (bigger on Flickr - http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ ) Wouldn't a whole ghost ship, ghost port etc line be great ???? Please criticize and comment :)
