  1. Map Name: Studica Grid: D2 Weather and organisation led to New Brickika troops being somewhat late to the continent of Studica. However, it's better late than never, as they say. 2. GRID E4 STUDICA – GRID Q6 GENERAL MAP (APPROX) After the successful offensive movements of the COAC, it was time to seize enemy territory. This is a territory divided by a river. Erotema is on the left and Briolui on the right. Not a very wide and deep river, but enough to difficult the crossing without special means. A lonely combatant is searching the area, with his .50 sniper rifle. He doesn´t seem to wear the standard Briolui uniform. Maybe a mercenary? A member of a local militia? Who knows… 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr A few minutes later, an EROTEMA MRAPv (Mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicle) arrives at the area. Call for an EOD team and the HUMINT cell, we need to get info from that fighter´s gear but there may be bobby traps or IEDs; however we will have to identify him and take his body for a proper burial. -Yes, Sir. They left the area and a few minutes later a bridge layer tank arrived. As many other armoured vehicles in Erotema, it shares the same hull than the previously seen SPH and AAA tank. 7 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 7 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 7 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr This model can save obstacles up to 14 metres long (approx). A future version will have a longer bridge (the real Leguan tank can save obstacles up to 24 m). The first thing the tank must do is lower the front support. 8 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And after a short time the bridge is laid. The advantage of this sliding bridge is that it is difficult to be seen from longer distances, as the overall height is lower if we compare it with older bridge layer tanks. This model is inspired on the German Leguan bridge layer tank, in use in many European Armies. 9 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 9 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr So the tanks can cross the river. The MBT has a 125-mm smooth bore gun, a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and a remotely operated 7.62 mm machine gun on the turret. 16 multipurpose grenade launchers (smoke or fragmentation grenades) complete the weapons array. A Light Helicarrier Corvette of The Deland Republic is patrolling. : Nice shot Sargeant ! : Haha ! Thank you sir ! : You're welcome ! But it will be hard for me to beat you now ! : Don't be so modest, sir. You're a crack at this game ! : Golf on the Helipad is not a game, it's an art ! : Yes sir, you're right ! : Sir ! May I interrupt you, sir ? : Don't bother me when I golf ! I said it earlier already ! : Sir, I know, Sir. But you precisely said that I had to interrupt your party when the Helicopter would be back, and, sir, it is exactly what it's happening, our helicopter is in approach, sir. : Oh ! Ok ! Crap of this Helicopter, no way to have a good golf party in this ship... Let's go gentlemen ! Be ready to the landing pad ! Sir, Report of the patrol team, sir ! The New Brickikan tanks are still on our borders, sir, but no sign of a vessel. We don't know if Filace is sending them Naval support yet. We will need better surveying devices... : Well, it seems it will be up to F. Al'hadrin then, We will need the Drone he found on our shores... Ok ! Gentlemen ! Let's finish this mission ! We need to see if our new drone is ready ! Machines back to Port !
  8. [GBW] The Repair Having recovered the lost drone, the Plantasea forces need to repair it if they want to use it in the war... and even modify it in the process! Fun fact: This is the 1stof a 3-part MOC storyline. The 2nd part involves the use of the UAV to pinpoint targets for the artillery (3rd).
  9. Studica Grid E5 We marched through the fields and forests of Briolui. Our mission wasn't clear yet, but we were to reach a rendezvous and receive a message via walkie-talkie. We came to a small river, and we had to wade through it. It was deeper than it looked, and by the time we reached the other side we were soaked to the bone. The other side wasn't that hospitable either, as we had to cut our way through tall grass while swatting away gnats and bees. Why can't we have gone to war somewhere like the coastside? "Come on in, the water's fine!"
  10. Grid E4 Studica – P7 World A deluge followed with bad weather made areas of Studica absolutely dangerous for human life. Civilians in the area suffered an exodus, those who could escape by foot, car or boat. Many others died drowned. After losing almost everything, shelter and food were mandatory to be provided by the international community. Erotema, struggling for the control of E4, has decided to create a DMZ with several campsites. Only an enemy country, the Coalition of Southern Territories could answer the call for contributions in time. Being Erotema the host nation, strict conditions for RON countries were issued but their help was welcome. The black cylinders close to us are naval mines, with them we can block any enemy port or naval route. Next, the cruise missiles, with a range of 2500 km. Its conventional warhead is very powerful and its CEP is less than 10 meters. The dark gray torpedo is an excellent weapon against ships or submarines. It has a double homing system with optic fiber and acoustic sensors, with a range of 50 km and 50 knots of top speed. To conclude, the SSM, with a range of 150 km and able to strike both ships or land targets. Besides, the sub will carry SAM in a VLS in the sail to have short range AAA capability against ASW helicopters." The submarine is a real build I began at the beginning of 2017 after making a 12000+ part LDD. I posted a few pictures of several real lego-built modules, but the pics displayed here with the wall and floor were taken a few hours ago. Enjoy!

  15. Campaign 2 Into the Storm Map Name: Studica Grid F6 Time: 0130 Hours Forces of the elite Refnor Special Boat Service launched down river. Their Mission was to take out a small SAM Site to clear the skies for an aerial bombardment from Filace that was was to follow shortly there after. Immediately, upon coming up on the beach, the team came under fire from a defensive position at the post. The team was scattered. Some lay dead on the beach head.... Others crawled into the woods to try and regroup. The team was then engaged by a defensive force at the SAM Site's control bunker. The Toohati forces captured several of the Refnor Team Members and gathered their wounded. In the early hours of the morning the COAC countries launched a surprise offensive campaign against the RON. Tactical locations were bombarded from the Sea and the Air to make way for a ground assault. Local News Initial losses for both sides have not been reported as correspondents have been ordered off the air during this initial phase of the invasion to prevent any information from getting out which could hurt either side. Campaign Guidelines Countries that are part of the COAC are to build MOCs depicting their side assaulting fortified positions of the enemy. Countries in the RON are to build MOCs depicting their side defending an assault. Nations that currently have not declared war will need to do so before submitting combat builds or find other creative ways to build something to fit in with the guidelines. This a combat based game so if you're holding out from declaring war, you're really missing the point. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP2)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP2) Filace - Fueling up the Jets") Being that this is the first combat campaign, a strong emphasis should be placed on depicting your country's military forces, battle tactics, etc. Neither side should show their forces definitively destroying the opposition. Showing successes is okay, but not total domination. The winners of the campaign will be decided based on the points awarded from judging. This means if your team doesn't score well, it's possible for your forces to be beaten back. There is no minimum or maximum size requirement for this build. All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP2) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Photo Editing is to be kept to a minimum with only real edits of lighting and color correction. No special effects. Players may crop one picture of their MOC onto a background picture to help with their landscape if they’d like. Pictures cannot be bigger than 800x600 Players may post a link to an offsite host such as Flickr where Higher Res pics are located. Be cool and share your photos in the GBW Flickr Group! Please refer to the General Rules Topic for limitations based on your Point Level. Upon completion, players must also post a link to their build in the AAR Thread as well letting the judges know that it is eligible for scoring. Campaign Duration 4/28/17 - 5/31/17 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 5/30/17 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome The winning team will have an opportunity to choose a location where they would like to concentrate troops and launch an offensive. All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. The winning team will earn this tag. Players can have only (1) GBW Tag in their profile at a time. If you would like this tag, please let a GBW Staff Member know. All Questions Regarding Campaign 2 should be Posted in THIS TOPIC.
  16. Previous parts: Refnor Wants You! The Enlistment Trouble at the Mall Map Studica, Grid F5 Briolui Bridge across the river. A small group of six Briolui soldiers were standing guard on the bridge. The river was rather peaceful except for a few fish jumping out of the water occasionally. "Wait, do you hear that?" Suddenly, Refnor forces swarmed the bridge, guns firing. The Briolui soldiers were caught by surprise. With their superior numbers and the element of surprise, the Refnor forces quickly gained the upper hand. Despite the Briolui troops' tries... ...they were soon pushed back. Sabrina and I were lucky enough to be at the back of the squad near Commander Daniel, and were not injured. -------- Thanks for looking! 17. Map Name: Bricklandia Grid: F7 New Brickika relies on largely on mobility, so as soon as war was declared the military was mobilised and attacking the bordering Deland Republic. 18. Bricklandia, Map Grid F7, Deland Republic territory, South of the Hercynian mountains It was at its south the Deland Republic had to face the invader from New Brickika. Their tank column was assaulting every village of the border and was threatening now the main road access ! Since the New Brickika Army relies on mobility, with great use of armored vehicles, it was obvious to cut this mobility off ! An easy task for the Hercynian Hunters ! The 12th Regiment of HH, nicknamed the Wolves, had been sent to stop the tank column while they had to pass through a reach to access the main road. The 12th HH is commonly deploying the standard PAV with its Anti Tank cannon on roof top but they are also capable of deploying MILAN Missiles launcher ! Greatly more dreadful for an armored vehicule than the light AT cannon, these vehicles are also more mobile and faster than the heavy New Brickikan tanks ! That's making those vehicles virtually unstoppable ! - Comm link to MILAN 01, Target in sight. Said the comm link operator. - Ready ! yelled the officer to the artillery men. - Sir, yes sir ! - MILAN 01 to comm link, ready to fire ! - Comm link to MILAN 01, traget acquired and marked, do you copy ? - Roger ! 20. MapName: Studica Grids: E4, F4 Just over the border into Grid F4, Captain Beeze and his team have been tasked with moving ahead of the armored column coming in to look into a possible hardened defense location. In the days of the intercontinental wars, FIlace and Briolui held a series of fortifications together to thwart foreign invaders. This location was once one of them. Since the two nations went their separate ways, Filace gave up any claim to bases inside of Briolui. Their mission is to investigate this one of several fortifications in the area before rolling the armor in. The team chugged along on edge. Up until now, they had never really been in any sort of direct danger. Now, they were the tip of the spear. The first to wade into the dark waters. All at once the world was loud with gun fire and rockets erupting all around the team as they slammed the vehicle to a stop. The Briolui Garrison opened up on them mercilessly firing from all directions and firing ports in the fort. Screaming over the hail of bullets. Captain Beeze: EVERYBODY OUT AND OVER THE DUNE! The team scrambled for cover as quickly as they could. Captain Beeze: Everyone good? Mike: Yeah Ghost: *Nods head* Marcus: SH** I couldnt grab my gun! Mike: You can always throw rocks... Captain Beeze: Ha! The LAV should be coming up any second to pound them. They just confirmed on the radio. Moments later, and LAV25 arrived onsite and started blasting the front facing fortification with HE Rounds. Before it could do any effective damage, the LAV was targeted by antitank gun built into the fort.... and was destroyed. Exiting the rear of the LAV before it was destroyed, Chief Jones was the only passenger to survive the blast. He scurried as quickly as he could up and over the berm to join the team. Captain Beeze: What's the deal Chief? Chief Jones: One hell of a cluster. Members of the team tried to put down some fire whenever they could to avoid any chance of a charge. Captain Beeze: We're gonna need to get some support on target quick or we're not gonna be around long enough for the convoy to make it here. Chief Jones: We have an asset on standby. Let me try and raise them. *INTO RADIO* Tiger Shark 2 this is Task Force Charlie. Do you Read? Over. With a deafening roar, the missile from the ship came screaming across the sky and slammed directly into the fort blasting a hole the size of a car in it. The explosion sucked the oxygen out of the air for a short second. The team was quickly on their feet making their way to the bunker to start clearing the facility.
  21. World Map F7, Studica Map F3. Comments and Criticism are Welcome. Leaning against a guard rail along the edge of the highway, Ryan took one last puff on his cigarette before crushing it beneath his heel. It was hard enough being stationed towards the front, at least fifty miles from the nearest town, but what really got to him and most of the other soldiers was being away from their friends and families. Phones were strictly prohibited and there was no internet connection in the middle of nowhere, so mail day was the one day of the week anxiously awaited by all. And the men of the 109th Artillery were especially eager to receive letters from home since constant artillery barrages from Briolui prevented the mail from getting through the last two weeks. This time would be different, Ryan and his comrades hoped. Troop movements in other sectors seemed to occupy the Brioluian artillery which left the artillery positions free to receive their mail. "You know, those things will kill you," the newly minted Corporal Rodgers noted as he walked over to his friend. Just three days ago, it had been Private Rodgers until an enemy attack resulted in some unfilled leadership spots. "Geeze, thanks, Mom" Private Ryan retorted with a friendly punch. "But if you're so worried about my health, perhaps you should get me assigned to the General Staff." "Nah, not that concerned," replied Rodgers. There was a brief pause before he continued. "You think it's gonna come through today?" "It better, I'm pretty sure O'Hara will explode if he doesn't get something from his girl today." "Yeah, poor guy. Drafted just a week before his wedding." Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Before Ryan could continue, they heard the distant rumble of an approaching MRAP, and without waiting for another second, they both began sprinting back to their position. Unless it was some officer making a surprise inspection, the only reason an MRAP would be traveling along the highway was for the mail. Of course, as fast as they were, they were no match for the Centaur and it quickly zoomed passed them and turned off the highway by their position. "I think we're in luck" a Rodgers shouted between breaths as they continued to sprint. Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr It only took Ryan and Rodgers a few minutes to reach the MRAP, but by that time the mailman, a reservist based on his uniform, was already surrounded by soldiers anxious for something from home. "3rd Platoon, C Company" the men repeated with increasing enthusiasm, as if saying it enough times would reduce the time it took for the mailman to find the stack of letters and packages for 3rd Platoon, C Company. "Just a minute, just a minute" the mailman muttered as he searched the sack. Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr But before the mailman could find the stack, a shrill siren pierced the air. All the men froze where they were, and after a brief moment of disappointment, they ran to man their stations. By now, after weeks of training and combat, the motions came secondhand to most of the men; you hear the radio go off, you run to your station. "Oh well," Ryan thought as he manned his station at the electronic aiming and targeting system (EATS). "I've waited 19 days for letters, I guess a few more hours." Besides, it was rather funny to see the mailman dive for cover behind, of all places, a crate of mortar shells. Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr "Alpha-Hotel sector... range 8.53 miles... cluster shells" the Sargent called, only pausing as he to confirm the instructions with the commander on the other end of the radio. "5.2 points West by South-West... FIRE!" Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Overview shots: Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Mail Call by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr
  22. Spec Op Task # 001 - Blowing the missile factory The Deland Republic managed to gather some intel around the Tosul Missile incident. The Spy Reports are situating the Factory in an hidden place along the tundra coast in their south border with the Deland Republic. The Mission Report the Headquarters gave to the SEAL team ready to be sent in Tosul is clear : Blow the Missile factory ! Here is the complete report : "The Deland Republic has felt slighted by the government of Tosul. After New Brickika has gotten cozy with the communist country and deal has been brokered with Filace for metal materials. Through intelligence gathering and sharing between RON Nations, Deland Republic has discovered the production facility in Tosul where the ballistic missiles are being created. Deland Republic has decided to strike the facility and take it out. Your mission is as follows: Deploy a SEAL team to the facility located in E2. Luckily the ice has broken off the northern coast and we can use the sea again. Your team will rendezvous with a submarine off our coast and make the trip up there. The team will launch in an SDV (Seal Delivery Vehicle) and make the trip inland on foot. You have a 2 Km Hike through the tundra once you land. The main plant is 1 of 4 buildings carved out of the woods. Our satellite scans indicate that the facility has light security consisting of roving patrols around the whole area. Your team will infiltrate the facility and blow the plant. The goal is to try and keep your presence undetected for as long as possible. The charges should be set for time enough for you to slip away before they go off. If you are caught out in the wind, troops are just a 5 minute drive away and they will overwhelm you. Once completed, you will exfil the way you came in. If all goes according to plan, you should be out before the sun comes up." So Major Tom and his team, the best SEAL team of the Country, also known as the Sharks, has been sent by sea and is landing on Tosul with their SDV. - Hey Major ! Said Private Waters, the radio operator. Do we need to change our helmet too ? I am really comfy on this one, I think I'll keep it ! - Yes, we should use night vision googles, but as I am keeping my good old Beret, you can keep your actual helmet ! -Thanks, Major ! After been changed to the 2Km Treck they had to do with their material, the team arrived at sight of the factory. It was easy to identify the main building through the forested covers the Tosulese used, Major Tom decided, after escaping to the surrounding patrol, to take on the building and prepare the explosive charges in peace after killing the building occupants. The major analysis seemed to be the best : The building was quite unguarded from the inside and was peaceful. It seemed to be the end of the factory chain and a place where the missiles were armed. The best place to use explosives ! The attack was fast and deadly ! The Major lead the move by the first kill at the door when the rest of the team achieved their objectives in a breath move ! Even the poor lad who surrendered had to be kill as it was clear there were no prisoners on this mission ! The Charges were dipatched at every corner of the build and, of course, on the armed missiles ! - Are we ready, Major ? - Yes ! Sargeant ! Blow that missile factory ! KABLAM ! Here is my Special Operation first task ! I hope you'll like it ! It was a real pleasure to build the little SDV and the landing site. The Factory gave me some headache ! Well, the crane is quite original and its design was not really simple... Any Comment or Criticism is welcome ! Thank you for reading !

  24. GRID E4, a forest close to the border with Briolui. In order to test a new medium range AAA tank, a launch test has been scheduled. First, a two-man team has to choose a good launch site. 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But, as they have plenty of time, why not light a fire to cook something? 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr They are in the middle of cooking a potato omelette -"tortilla de patata"- when the AAA tank arrives. 3 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr As you see, it shares the same hull as the already known SPH. This is an 8-missile SAM, using a large dish radar to detect incoming aircraft, launch an active homing missile and switch it off. This prevents the use of HARM weapons against it (Highspeed Anti Radiation Missiles), used to take down radar-guided SAM sites. 3 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr They are relaxed as they enjoy the picnic. Croissants, bananas, potato omelette...what else? Even a siesta? Why not? 4 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But this is the Army! No time for siesta or relax! Only a few minutes went by and they received a message, the probe droid to test the SAM site was flying, so they had to man the AAA tank and launch a missile! 5 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 5 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But they are good servicemen and are able to launch without delay. 6 bis by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 6 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Enjoy!
  25. GRID D4. An Advanced Command Post of the Erotema Army in the middle of a forest area. Mushrooms, trees and grass cover a dark gray land. 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The crew of a new Rocket Launcher Tank has been called to the HQ tent. 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr As a polite crew they are, asking permission is the first thing they do. 3 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And the Officer in charge lets them in. 4 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Another view of the Command Post. 5 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Inside the tent... 6 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And the orders are given soon... 7 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Other views of the rocket launcher. 8 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 9 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The real thing is that I have been inspired on the US MLRS, because I refused to reuse -again- the SPH hull for another build in the same campaign, but it would have worked too. This design lacks the aft drive sprocket and there is a stud separating the 3rd and 4th wheels. This is a classical Christie drivetrain without support rollers. A remotely-operated .50 HMG on the roof provides light defense against infantry. The launcher has 12 cells, each of them capable of storing any missile or rocket up to 600 mm (approx, 2 studs are 68 cms) in diameter and 4 meters in length (approx). There is another version with 48 rockets. You´ll see it soon... Enjoy!
