  1. The path out of the orchard leads Sir Loth Strongarm by the family's produce garden, lush with crops. There he sees his granddaughter Yura, the middle child of his son Stenon, harvesting vegetables. Hard working, strong-willed and beautiful as her mother. She is of marrying age but, like her older brother, does not seem to give much thought to it yet. Granted, the current small Vale community does not have many potential compatible suitors. Another thing that might change with the return of Lady Eleanor, with the possibility of the return of some of those who left the Vale and the arrival of new settlers.
  2. Hi everyone You may have seen my MOC modular buildings on here recently, The Queen Bricktoria and Brick Square Post Office. For my new project I've decided to build something completely different. This is also my first ever entry as a Lego Ideas project. "A roaring fire and a full head of steam, the old traction engine is ready for work!" I have created a scene set some time during the early 20th century. Farmers are working in the fields with their steam traction engine, affectionately known as "The Old Workhorse". The model includes a detailed mini fig scale traction engine, a wagon and various other accessories and mini builds. THE TRACTION ENGINE The main feature of the model is the traction engine itself. I've used a classic green and red livery with polished brass lining and details. There are several interesting parts used to create this engine including paint roller handles and mini fig syringes used to create the piping around the boiler and inside the cab. A system of cogs ensures that the flywheel spins around as the traction engine is pushed forward. A detailed cab interior includes steering wheel, controls and a firebox door that can be opened and closed to reveal the burning fire inside. The front wheel axle can be pivoted left and right. THE WAGON I've also included a wagon/trailer that can be coupled to the back of the traction engine and used to carry the various accessories included with the model. The sides of the wagon can be dropped down to provide loading access for the mini figs. There is space at the front of the wagon to hold tools and mini fig accessories. MINIFIGURES & OTHER ACCESSORIES Included with the model are 2 mini figs, a dog, a rat and several mini builds including tree stumps, logs and rocks. These are all designed to be carried and towed in the wagon. THE FINISHED MODEL The overall model contains 480 pieces. Here is a shot of The Old Workhorse, steaming past the buildings in my MOC modular street. LEGO IDEAS As mentioned earlier this is my first entry as a Lego Ideas project. If you like what you see then I really would be so grateful if you could please support my project on Lego Ideas, and help The Old Workhorse to gather steam. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80 Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and I hope you like the model. Feel free to let me know what you think. If you'd like to see more pictures, there are many more on my Flickr page. Edit: I've added a new brick built version of the model on page 2 of this topic.

    MOC: The Wild Horse

Hi everybody, I present you the Wild Horse, a very huge creation of myself that many people would like to assemble, 1100 bricks and 75 cm long... Beside the Death Star, it's so... I don't know? WILD! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/bfba06f9-df7e-464f-93e7-226622d6e63e
  4. Hi Eurobrick folks, I would like to present my first Mindstorm Ev3 creation: a combine harvester, which I named C-HARV3ST3R, following the Ev3 terminology. It is more than a year that the project was completed, and it stood for some time on a shelf before I finally made instructions (soon on Rebrickable). I then take the opportunity to present it here: It is remote controlled with the IR beacon, including steering and raising the unloader using the middle button. The header can be raised using a lever on the right side. There are two positions: when down (harvesting mode), the small wheels drive the reel. When up (driving mode), the reel does not turn anymore, and a lever push the touch sensor. The program can therefore "know" whether we are in driving or harvesting mode, based on the state of the touch sensor. The two modes differer by the following: in harvesting mode, the combine harvester drives more slowly and no reverse driving is allowed. In addition, a counter records how much we have harvested, a gauge (in %) is displayed on the screen at the top of the machine (where the actual tank is on real machines). When the tank is full, no further move is allowed and a "bip" is emitted. One need to either go in driving mode, or to unload the harvest by raising the unloader. In driving mode, the combine harvester moves faster and can move reverse (slow speed, emitting a warning "bip"). But a video is maybe better than words: Finally, just a few more pics: Hope you like it!

    (MOC) FENDT 1050 Vario

LEGO FENDT 1050 Vario Here is my first agriculture model: FENDT VARIO 1050. LEGO doesn´t present farm models, so i try to build them for myself. The minifig-scale is realy to small to install all the details and technical features, for example: front and rear hydraulics. The scale is nearly 1:32 like SIKU models. Great pattern for building with LEGO. If you take a LEGO door for two meters, this model is twice. The original is nearly four meters high. So it matches. (hope, you understand)

  7. There’s another celebration again! Today is Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice). It is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael, as an act of obedience to Allah’s (God’s) command. Before he sacrificed his son, God intervened by sending his angel Jibrīl who then put a ram in his son’s place. In commemoration of this, an animal is sacrificed (know more in Wikipedia). As a Muslim, I celebrate it too in real life and in LEGO. The model I’m gonna show to celebrate this occasion is a Minecraft scene with a pen, some animals, a house, and completed with Minecraft style background. Happy Eid al-Adha 2017! by Kamal Muftie Yafi, on Flickr I’m not a Minecraft gamer. The model is done by searching for a reference on the internet, so I’m sorry if I made some inaccuracies in the render. Anyway, it always fun to create a model in a selected theme that you haven’t make or know about it.
  8. And so on.... Microscale outskirts

I've been too busy to build much in the last couple of months, so my latest build is actually pretty small. Due to space restrictions, I limited myself to build something modular on multiple baseplates, so I could built on one or two baseplates at the same time, and keep the rest in storage. Another problem was my semi-sorted brick collection, which affected building time a lot. The biggest challenge was to find all the small parts needed. And despite the small size, there is a lot of parts used in the display. I started experimenting with some houses first and then built the rest. Then I continued with the outskirts, the river, the train tracks and a lonely farm on the other side of the river. At this point, I was running low on most of the parts needed to add more details, so I round it up. Some of the details are not in the perfect scale with others, but I think they're still recognizable. This is how the display looks like from a distance. The idea is to extend this display further. While this part was largely unplanned, I need to plan more for the extensions, and most importantly order some of the parts I almost run out. If you're interested, you can find high-res pictures on my Flickr.

    Avalonian Countryside

Avalonian Countryside The beauty of rural Avalonia have few peers. From ripening fields to towering forests, the countryside is the heart and soul of the land. Local farmers have been tilling the earth for generations, and would like nothing more than to live out their lives in peace. However, the ambitions of greater men regularly disrupt these desires, and the young men sent to battle seldom return; some caught by the stray arrow or a sharp spear, while others are drawn in by buzz and adventure promised by the capitol. But for the people who get to live here in peace, there is no place greater. It's home. Have been wanting to build a more sizable representation of the Avalonian landscape for a while now. Tried to include different aspects of Avalonia, like fields, grasslands, moors and a few different types of forests. Hopefully it is an accurate visualisation of rural Avalonia This is my first time dabbling in microscale, and I found it both more fun and more challenging than I thought it would be. The main thing is that it allows for representing a large area with few pieces, which, with my current lego budget, is pretty critical. I definitely see myself building more in this type of scale. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed it! C & C always welcome
  11. Micro Warcraft 2 I began working on each individual building a few months ago but finally finished assembling the display. The inspiration for this display began when I completed my Warcraft: Orcs and Humans micro last year. I figured it was time to go on to the next game Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. I started with the human town center and built out the basic buildings of the lumber mill, barracks, blacksmith and the farm. Of course, the build wouldn't be complete without the resources to harvest and the exploding sheep. If you are unfamiliar with the game here are some screen shots. Lego Slurry Tank

Here is a lego slurry tank with associated research laboratory that I have built to help explain some research we are doing. Here is a view with the lab: And a view with the word: This is my first design with a curve wall structure (the main tank) and using SNOT techniques (especially behind the control panel).

    Land of Rauor: Farm

This is the third of 4 micros I built as prizes for the Guild Creation category of the Summer Joust. This particular model was focused on a city of Rauor. You can see the first and the second builds already. Rauor is just a fictional land I made up, and tried to develop the culture and setting of with these 4 micro builds, the rest of which will be posted soon. C&C welcome

    [MOC] A little red barn

Hi all! Ive long admired all of your amazing MOC work on this forum, but we've all go to start somewhere ... this is the beginning :-) I wanted to share with you my latest creation - a little red barn. I was inspired by the Series 15 CMF - Farmer w/ pig, because I needed a place for all of the pigs I was amassing. This barn has the traditional roof shape, red exterior, sliding barn doors, and is completed by a small barnyard and chicken coop out back for the animals. All positive feedback constructive criticism, or tips for next time are welcome. More pictures in my Flickr album, if interested As a side note -- how do people get images in the post? I'd prefer to embed from outside host, so I don't have re-size them all to make them fit, but that seems to be the only option?
  17. Hi all just want to share my LEGO ideas British coast line MOC
  18. First off, here is a small story with <sarcasm> wonderfully crafted characters and a stunning plot. You'll be sucked in in no time, I promise. </sarcasm> Peter the common, an average pig farmer, lived a boring life. He provided just enough money to keep food on the table, obeyed laws as much as possible, and didn't get drunk at the tavern. One day, while going about his chores, the captian of the guard in Farrveil rode up to the lonely farmstead. "What brings you here today good sir?" Peter questioned "Avalonia and Farrveil need an army. You have the honor today of joining the militia of Farrveil. Conform to our ways, and you'll be back to your farm in no time." Captian Liam responded. "Sir, I can't just leave my family here sir, someone needs to provide for them. My daughter is sick. Please, I can't help you." "Well, peasant, you can help and will help. come along." The tone of Captian Liam's voice was enough to get Peter moving in a hurry. Eric, an archer in the Farrveil militia and childhood friend strode up to Peter as the company made their way to Farrveil Keep. "It isn't so bad, we may be able to serve in the same division," Eric tried to comfort Peter. Peter decided that 'not so bad' remained to be seen... Plus the house has an interior, so I'd like to submit this farm for the agriculture category for the 4th Avalonia challenge. Highly praiseing comments appreciated.

    Benoic Farm

Thanks to de Gothia for letting me put this build in Benoic! As usual on the farm, there’s much to be done: feeding, watering, and milking the goats, feeding the chickens, and most importantly: heading back to the house for some breakfast. Lots more pictures here: Link C&C very much appreciated

  22. Free build for Avalonia 4th task : The restauration of Falahuas Chapter 1 Here is my first participation for the 4th task of Avalonia : I would claim the agricultural build for my capital Falahuas. It is also the first chapter of the story of the Restauration of Falahuas. Hope you'll enjoy it. After the Drows' attack on Falahuas, the fields near the city of Falahuas, the capital, had to be regrown rapidly so the citizens don't starve. Old Erthain, one of Faladrin faithfull friends, restarted some crops just at the western exit of the capital, at an ancient roadcrossing called First Fall Point, near the first falls of the river Falahuawin. Rest Falahuas 01b by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr Faladrin himself went to salute his old friend and inspect the crops. Rest Falahuas 01 by Thomas LOUYOT, sur Flickr - Faladrin : Hi my friend ! How are you ? - Erthain : Fine mylord, it's a pleasure to see you. - Are the crops ok for feeding the people now ? We're going very short in food supplies by now. - Yes, mylord, there will be enough to feed everybody. But we will need more men to harvest. - Ok, then you shall have men. - Thank you mylord. - You're welcome my old friend. - But mylord... To be continued...

    MOC: 24-Carat Urban Vertical Farm

MOC: 24-Carat Urban Vertical Farm I managed to snag a bunch of freebie 2x2 Gold round tiles, a bunch of orange windscreens and orange 4x4 wedges. So it was obvious (to me, at least) what I was going to build - an upscale Urban Vertical Farm for my Chinatown 2035 series of Modulars. So here it is. Here's a view from the rear The roof detail. I imagined that the owners had access to a 3-d Printer and just produced a huge amount of these awesome shapes. And finally because it was set in the near future I had to include the owner watering the plants with Brawndo - it's got electrolytes. It's what plants crave. Hope you like it. As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome!
  24. A few photos of a small LEGO train display I did as part of a small show at the weekend at Durham Cathedral as part of the 2nd birthday celebrations for the model (worth a look at the photos on their Facebook page). This display uses standard LEGO City/Creator vehicles (not something I fancied building on top of 84 baseplates of landscape for the larger layout!), and techniques I've seen and experimented with myself. For example, the corn is based on an idea from a LUG show (photos in this thread). Apologies for the quality of some of the photos - only had my phone with me on the day and some have come out a little dark! More of them are on flickr. I'm working on the remaining three quarters of the layout for Bricktastic in Manchester this August, so there's more to come very soon, hopefully! Doing this smaller show before then gave me a chance to test some of my ideas, so I'll leave you with some of my thoughts/discoveries: 1. having two long trains at the front of the small static layout does really block the view of the scenery behind (not an issue for the August show as trains will be moving!) 2. people really like finding the hidden scenarios in the display (e.g., hidden alien, construction worker caught short on the portaloo, farmer cleaning up after a cow) - gives it a little more impact, and rewards those who really look hard 3. the LEGO Minion to the left of the display was very popular (probably more so than my display!) 4. a lot of adults looking were surprised by what you can do with LEGO, and had lots of questions - so it's good to have some background knowledge and recommendations for local LUGs to help grow the community 5. using some actual LEGO sets was nice in that people recognised ones they had at home (and it saved me a lot of time!) 6. people will touch things! There were "no touching" signs on display, but no barriers (which I liked: more friendly). I purposely didn't have much towards the front that little (or larger) hands could get to. Nothing was stolen, and no harm was done - I'm not too precious about the LEGO I display so if kids (or the one adult I spotted) want to push the trains, I let them

    [MOC] Rodgenhale Farm

Oh man, where to begin... Rodgenhale Farm is a small, but very productive farm that resides in the medieval countryside. The farmer, his wife, and three sons work hard everyday to keep their farm running, and on this day, they are paid a visit (which doesn't happen often as they are pretty far out in the country) by a merchant. The merchant's cart is filled with all sorts of things exotic to these farmers. I do plan on displaying this creation at Brickworld Chicago, so you might just see it there! :-) Well this creation is something that has been in the works for about two months now and I finally finally finally have finished it. There are a lot of techniques that I have used in this build (some of which I made up myself), which really hope to enhance the detail that brings out the agricultural side of this MOC. I do hope you all enjoy this MOC. :-)
