  1. Hey all! Here's my latest build to share with you! It's a battleship from the Kyrrath army, that defends Kyrrath from dangers from the swamp... Here are the Pics: I hope you enjoy my build! C&C Welcome! Jaapxaap
  2. Hey all! I just completed a new freebuild! (Or, actually i build this for the CCC, but it fits really well in Nocturnus... and I van post it here as well as use it as an entry) It's a haunted Inn, located somewhere in the dangerous deeplands of Nocty... and probably it isn't safe inside the Inn as well... I haven't made a story yet,so you guys will have to do it with the pics for now :) I also made a video about the playable function! Not that high quality, but it shows how well this function works out :) I hope you guys enjoyed my build! C&C welcome! Cheers, jaapxaap

    Emile and the Pike

I don't think that many of you interested in Russian folklore, but I want to show you the MOC, based on tale "By The Pike's Will". You can read it here (it's short, don't worry) You can see classic Russian furnace and an ice-hole on the river. May be LEGO will produce it as a set?
  4. Here is my newest creation that was inspired by the outstanding buildings of Cesar Soares! Hope you enjoy: hasty departure by kofi, auf Flickr
  5. Riverwatch Falls A watchtower protecting a bridge over a wild river, situated just above a small waterfall. Semaphore tower with signal engineers, signal fire and drawbridge included. Built as part of a Local Challenge for the Lands of Roawia. More images in the flickr album.
  6. Hey all! Kyrrath is growing and growing, and there are some ideas to make a trading route from Skarenport to Kyrrath, so from here all goods can be send through the rest of Nocturnus. But to make this work, it has to be kinda safe(for Nocturnus standards... ^^). This isn't easy to get but one of the problems to make a safe route is solved: From now on, there's a new ceremony in Kyrrath: Each Monday someone will be chosen and be fed to Bigteeth. So Bigteeth will have enough food and won't eat much innocents anymore. Normally a Criminal will be chosen(like this week) but when there isn't, there will always be a Mitgardian in between the borders of Kyrrath.... Here are the pics of my build: Here some pics of the background and Bigteeth: I've this build also made for the CCC, category Bring out your Dead. I hope you enjoyed my build and I want to thank you for your attention :) C&C always welcome! Have a nice day! Jaap

    [MOC] Hero's Room

Here is a simple and small MOC in a medieval fantasy world (actually inspired by games like Skyrim). The idea is that the heroes return to their home after a long and hard looting :) The build is part of a series of sets I currently plan all related to this medieval fantasy world and with these kind of role playing backgrounds. There is the bed and a small table as well as a fire place on the floor where fish can be cooked. In the chest, there is some of the stuff taken by our heroes.

    [WIP] Landscape (Part II)

Dear fellow Brick Builders, long time no see. Due to some serious real life trouble my progress in rebuilding the northen part of the river has been slow. But finally the problems got fixed and I was able to continue with the important staff. My idea was to redesign the montains in a more natural looking way and to use a higher quantity of slope bricks. In addition to those new criterias a have decided to use only one colour. the first result has already presented here in the first topic. Today I proudly present the progress. This picture shows how I wish to continue. Here the elfen "village & forest" shall be build. More pictures are avaible at my Brickshelf folder.
  10. Hey all! Have you guys ever considered to live your life as a hermit? Probably not, but after reading(and watching) this thread you maybe want.. :) Cause my latest build i just finished is a hermit house, located in Nocturnus, somewhere in the mountains around Kyrrath... Well, Here are the pics: It was pretty fun and challenging to build, and sometimes kinda frustrating :c It actualy is sturdier than it looks it is.... I hope you enjoy this build, and if you have C&C, feel free to post! I really appreciate feedback! Have a nice day! Jaapxaap P.s. If you want to see it in real life, This and other builds will be shown at LegoWorld 2015, in the Netherlands! If you visit please have a talk with me :)

    Hilarious comic!

Just found this awesome comic! http://tapastic.com/series/RollplayersInc It's a webcomic about a group of geeks playing RPG oldschool entirely made out of lego (except the introduction that was hand drawn) It even got some animated frames and stuff. Worth checking out!
  12. In times of famine and food shortages, most Avalonians stayed in Avalonia, peacefully tilling their fields, harvesting crops, or hunting animals. Gremlon and Elisa, however, decided to deal with the food shortages in a different way. As such, they went to a small isle in Nocturnus... ...to raid the homes of the evil Nocturnians to get food for the more-deserving Avalonians! I decided to take a bit of a different approach to the challenge, as you can see . Note that though I'm an Avalonian, this MOC is set in Nocturnus - hence the colors and fairly dark overall look. Thanks for viewing! You can see more pics in the flickr album.

    Moc: Sword of Blizzard

The Sword of Blizzard is an ancient mighty weapon, wich was lost a long time ago. With a little help of magic Blue Stone, wich was called "Mordok's Eye", you can control the weather... The Mordok's Eye. Thanks for watching.

  15. Many years ago, Earth passed thru a series of climatic and environment events that led to massive changes on the atmosphere and also on the earth surface composition. Lighter-than-air gases, such as helium or hidrogen became predominant and made some landmasses detached from the ground and start free floating on the skies. Most are huge, stunning and majestic, with waterfalls, rivers and entire towns. Others are small with just one or two houses and a few families. Inhabitants had to adapt and to evolve because huge chunks of the Earth surface were now drifting and floating. These islands are usually free-floating and may be directed by the whim of their inhabitants, whilst others may be permanently anchored. Basic resources like food and drinkable water are becoming scarce. Most people have to travel on rudimentary vehicles that float with the help of balloons so they can look for supplies and other necessities. Some even anchor other small floating islands to use them as crops fields and animal farms or just because they want to increase their property. Todaidh Beag is one of those islands. Holds Triroof Manor, home of Godfrey Morgan, his wife, Bella and his 2 sons, Cyrus and Malcumus. Cyrus and Malcumus often leave the island on their balloon boat to find food and supplies. Most of the times they endure bad weather, air pirates and other dangers. But they still have to do the trips to be able to survive and help their family. So guys, this is my latest build and I think this is a new favorite of mine. Even more then my Bluewater Castle as I think this one fits much more my building style. My latest castle builds were drifting to a more vibrant and colorful style that pleases me very much and this one is no exception. It’s not a steampunk build as it does not fit the bill entirely, but I like how it turned out. Anyway, I’m big fan of floating islands literature and stories and it was about time I made a MOC on that theme. I intend, if time and life allows, to build more on these theme. This thing is huge and it was the most challenging build so far. First I made the base with all the landscape and the house, etc. It was build on a very thick and strong base with lots of plates and 16x1 bricks. Then I made an oval technic frame in the shape of an inverted pyramid (I will post a pic or two of the frame later)with a core center of 2x4 bricks were the all landscape, house, etc stands on top. Perfectly balanced :) Inspiration from Life in the sky by Vladimir Kustuchek and the round tower part was from David Hensel latest build. It has lots of small details like the balloon boat, the harpoon to anchor smaller islands and other random stuff. If you want to see lots of details and small things please take a look at all the photos. I took a bunch :) Hope you like it. PS: yes, this is a Medium Azure roof. And I love this color :) The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag 10 11 The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag 20 (2) The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag The Floating Island of Todaidh Beag

    MOC: The Greylands

Hi Everybody, Before I discovered the wonderfull world of Eurobricks and the rest of the world wide web I decided to write a fantasy book. After my Dark Ages I picked up the idea to create MOCs to display my chapters. So I started out my first story line MOC (also before checking on Eurobricks). I do know of the high level builds here and that my own level is nowhere near, but I still wanted to post this first one, also in relation to the next one (who will be of a much higher level I hope). I am looking forward for some positive critisism and I hope you'll enjoy it: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chapter 1: - Character 1 - Snip The market square was crowded. Sounds of merchants trying to sell their stuff to noisy buyers, the smell of food being cooked and the always present guards watching from under their helmets. Overview-Left by Draken Nek, on Flickr The people seem to look happy due to the absence of an imminent threat, but their hearts were still grasped by fear. The commanding general of the city is a feared man, but he and his mages are seldom seen amongst the commoners. Peace is somewhat established, at least in the city itself. Shady merchant about to be robbed by Draken Nek, on Flickr Through the crowd of visitors a cheery young man appeared, laughing and evading all the peasants and travelers on his path. When you could view his movements from a higher perspective, you could see some similarities with a panther stalking his pray in the jungle. The persons that know him closest would recognize that Snip was on a mission. His black hood and cape provided cover for his weapons as this alleged master thief is not afraid of any competition or resistance. His colleagues had informed him that he could find something of great value in this city. Something the fearful general kept in his citadel. Something that could change the lives of so many... Something shiny... Snip by Draken Nek, on Flickr ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cheers, Schreeuwwitje
  17. I've been wanting to experiment with roof curvature and multiple angles in buildings for some time now. I also wanted to build a landscape without using any regular green parts, so I just decided to try it all at once! I'm quite pleased with the results, especially the elevated barrel (beer tower, as I have dubbed it), the roof, and the woodwork. I'm not too fond of the dark tan pieces in the white wall, but I have plans to fix that on future builds. Please let me know what you honestly think!
  18. After the dark army of Strelok Ironfist has taken the strategically important harbour Bridgecliff, Davlan Holm is ordered, with a small force, to get behind the enemy lines to sabbotage the fleet of the dark army. Because he must rely on his men, he wants to gather the old pack. But time is running out ... Davlan Holm und John Ryall visting Jorgan Bradshawe Having served under Davlan Holm, Jorgan Bradshawe has (with his wife and son) pulled back on his small farm. Here he leads a tough but peaceful life until he visited his old leader... Jorgan Bradshawe working on his acre The pigs were just being fed by his son Ian This is my second Moc in "The Davlan Holm Chronicles", the first one was published before I became a member of Eurobricks. An unexpected meeting with the dark army at the Moorwald Fall For those who are interested, here you can see some more pics of the MOC: https://www.flickr.com/photos/48198405@N07/17324683312/in/album-72157634222305398/ I hope you liked my entry. steentje
  19. The Story The Storm Riders once lived in one of the two moons of the Phantasy Realms world. But such a moon was consumed by a lightning storm destroying it. This is how the first drakes came to the world of Phantasy - they fled from their once peaceful home to reach to a land of turmoil and war. They first met the storm riders and shared their lightning knowledge with them and for a while they found a new home - a new place to live. Such knowledge gave the storm riders some leverage fighting the lava wizards whose quest for more land seemed insatiable. And peace settled in... Centuries later, some drakes decide to leave and explore the world, thus giving origin to the great Drake diaspora. In this path, drakes began breathing fire as a result of sometimes eating gold and drinking from lava pits. However, many drakes remained faithful to the riders. As time went by, the Storm Riders Dwarven neighbours, tired of being the only ones in Phantasy that held no special power apart from digging deep and trading expertise, decided to invest in a University to research archane powers to increase their influence. Needess to say they found no help either from the elves nor the mystical wizards - their magical secrets were not to be shared with the Iron Dwarven. So their investigation began exploring nature and if there was power to retrieve from it... and recently, they discovered the power of the spark. This began the Dwarven Industrial era. They built many machines and contraptions to help in their daily needs. But once the Iron Dwarven began applying their newfound technology on weapons and vehicles, the Storm Riders knew war was coming and they should act fast. Only one faction should control the power of the spark. Who will it be? You choose :D The set This set would portray a skirmish in the great battle for the spark. It includes two Storm Riders and a buildable dragon with wings that flap up and down and front to back, moveable tail and neck. It also includes two Dwarven Science Guild members in their steampunk tesla tank with moveable driving crank. 360º rotating cannon tower, two spring missiles and a crystal accessible from the back to power up the engine. And soon to be on ideas per friend's request :D

    MOC: The Crossroads Inn

Whilst the war rages in the North, in the western lowlands, in the middle of nowhere, the Crossroads Inn is always open for weary travelers. The Innkeeper, his wife and wife's sisters will receive all who come for rest, food and if they bring enough gold or gems, top notch weapons. The Innkeeper, a master smith, has his shoppe behind the Inn, whilst the open air armory, eatig tables and coziness of the hostesses invite everyone who can afford a good nights rest, a hearty meal, a razor sharp souvenir and a merry good time. Since I run on a very tight budget, I paint my bricks gray (airspray). Hope you like it. 21. Hey there, First things first: I really dislike square bases, this one was made just to cover the basic bricks that I used to elevate the all build to match the rest of the display. Just Ignore it :) This is another build to my LUGs (comunidade 0937) display that will be first time showed on Arte em Peças on the first 2 weekends of June. It will be part of a village that it will be inserted on a large display next to my blueWater Castle. The Wedgwood house and the Healer’s House will be part of it to. It was a real blast building these one because of the color scheme that I just happen to love. The roof is bright light orange and the landscape is primarily lime green. It has lots of little details, both on the cottage but also on the landscape. It’s 4 side viewable too, of course. Enjoy! Morisledge Cottage Morisledge Cottage fggfgr Morisledge Cottage
  22. My old Wolfpack project finally can be implemented! I`m thinking about creating three of four chapters. Accordingly you will see three or four MOCs. Rebellion of Wolfpack: Chapter I by balthazar_, on Flickr Chapter I. 'Into the woods'. Three strangers in hoods were going along the path, quietly stepping on the leaves. They were extremely cautious: since rebels` last raid on a weapons convoy, feudal lords of nearby lands announced a great reward for their heads. Now the troops of knights were combing the woods in search of the rebels. But Wolves (as they called themselves) had never been caught until last night. About dozen of them were prisoned and then executed. To save the rebellion, rebels leader Thomas Stafford gathered all Wolves in abandoned mill on the edge of the forest, where strangers were keeping the way too... To be continued. Thanks for watching! C&C are welcome.

    MOC: Rivergate

This is my second entry in this universe I have devised :D The Rivergate - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/98977 Phantasy Realms The set This set is composed of a fortress like sturcture built over a river. The gates open to let the boat cross but the gates can also close trapping the unaware travellers inside. Four trapdoors open to let the captives be taken or they can also work as traps if someone invades the fortress - making the figures fall into the river. The story In order to protect the entrance to their capital city - Rainbow's End - the Wizards of Colour with the help of dwarven engineers raised a mighty fortress over the Tears of the Peak River, the only way into the magical valley where fairies and wizards dwell, among many other fantastic creatures. The wizards bought a mighty power crystal from the dwarves and draw power from the magical stone in order to activate the fortress' magical defenses. A group of sentinels dares to approach the Rivergate. They bring bad tidings... but Wizards and Elves are very suspicious of each other since the Magik Wars - a very old and long conflict between each other. Will they be able to cross the rivergate or will they fall prey to the wizard's magical trap? P.S. - first entry in phantasy realms is here - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/97483 - if you want to check it out. Cheers
  24. Tree houses are fun to design, aren't they?
  25. Here is a fun way to make epic scenes using a very few number of pieces! Micro castle is awesome. Wade through danger Side Back That's MY treasure Side Microscale is really fun since you can build huge scenes with only 1/10th of the pieces! Helps on space and budget ;) I submitted this to LEGO Ideas, so it may even be made into a set one day! You can help make it happen if you vote for it here! Thank you for your time!
