  1. Hello everybody! This is the first MOC I present on Eurobricks. My most popular MOC yet is the 3 speed auto gearbox (https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-33711/lbrix/3-speed-auto-gearbox-overworked-version/?inventory=1#comments). But now to this gearbox: At first ask yourself this question: Which sense has a normal D-N-R gearbox in a manual technic car? It has no sense. It makes no difference if you are in the forward gear or in te reserve. But with this D-N-R gearbox it makes a difference, because if you are in the forward gear, you can not push the car backward and if you switch in the reserve gear, you can not push the car forward. If you want to build this gearbox into a technic car, you have to connect the grey connectors to the wheels and one of the black ones to the fake engine. For more information check out this MOC on rebrickable (maybe it is not approved yet): https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47985/lbrix/alternative-d-n-r-gearbox/?inventory=1#comments No I wanted to ask you, what you think about this D-N-R gearbox? Here is an video of my gearbox:
  2. I ordered some pieces on BrickLink and this one piece looks different than the other pieces that were obviously real Lego. This piece has "BL" logos on the studs instead of "LEGO" and there is no text on the bottom. The piece also feels different when connected to genuine Lego pieces. As this piece was ordered on BrickLink, the "BL" makes me a bit confused, though I believe Bricklink wouldn't intentionally make a fake Lego piece. Any thoughts?

    Printing On Lego Torsos

Is printing on Purist Lego Parts considered purist, and also putting Lego Stickers on parts that they weren't meant for?
  4. Hi all, Recently I made a BrickOwl order, and disappointingly found 3 counterfeit Lego pieces. Can I ask if this has happened to anyone else? (this is my first brickowl order, ever) I don't know if this is a common thing to happen and would be grateful for some answers! Thank you for your time.
  5. https://youtu.be/UFPNWZeeXQw Lego Pneumatic Engine. What is it? How to make it? The first it needs to finish Lego fake cylinder like in this video https://youtu.be/HcHneyewATE or https://youtu.be/0aZvWva41Ek. The second - to add o-ring to Lego piston like in this video https://youtu.be/wZu-l32Dajw or .
  6. Hi After some fiddling I came up with this idea for a single crank W16 engine: Each crank uses a #3 connector to comepnsate for the piston offsets: And Finally the top view of the engine: Hopefully someone can build this baby in real life and provide feedback LDD file: https://bricksafe.com/files/Zblj/w16-engine/W16 engine.lxf
  7. So I don't know if this topic has been done yet but I am just going to do it anyways , I hope to start a discussion about fake lego minifigures especially and maybe the quality of their bricks So I probably won't post any pictures simply because I don't have any fake lego, but would like to say a few things that I know about it at least... I purchase most of my LEGO off of eBay, especially the hundreds of clone figures to put into my army, but recently have noticed these wierd Chinese counterpart copy of these clone figures appearing all over when I search for REAL Lego. You can easily tell the difference from the fake just because how bad it looks, but it is sad to see that many companies try to pass these as real Lego figures... I have not purchased any of these and do not plan on it, just seeing these figures in collections looks off and awkward, and supporting those companies is not something I wish to do when I don't like what they're doing. The parts is a another story. I have several sets of GOOD QUALITY USA made offbrand that actually works quite well with Lego. These look like Lego, and is more difficult to tell the difference than that of the figures. So does anyone own any of these figures? What are your thoughts on the quality and how they compare with LEGO? Maybe even a side by side figure comparison in a picture would help. Again it will be my look that this gets merged. So please don't merge if you don't have to... thanks, just wanted to potentially hear a couple thoughts.
  8. Hi Lego enthusiasts, I recently noticed that the seagull from the collectible minifigure series 10 (Sea Captain) does not have the Lego logo mark on it. Is it because it's a soft piece? I think other Lego animals like goats do not have a Lego mark either, if I'm not mistaken. However, this is a hard piece. Is it possible to make a list with (modern) Lego pieces that do not have the Lego logo on them? It would help alot to see if a piece is not really Lego and therefore fake/counterfeit or not. The reason for why the logo is missing, remains unclear to me. It can be dangerous because you often see Chinese BrickLink stores (a country known for its factory facilities) with a massive amount of pieces you would assume are rare or hard to get. No Lego logo on piece - Seagull (col min series 10) - ... - ... Thanks a lot R.
  9. Hi everyone, I'm a canadian AFOL who has been living in China for over a decade and, surprise surprise, I have bought fake, look-a-like LEGO sets. The biggest attraction for me and for many I suspect is the price. Since LEGO does not ship to China, that means most of the time I buy sets from taobao with never a discount :( So I have succumbed once in a while and bought fakes from decool, bela, and another name I don't remember. from my experience, decool has always been of disappointing quality. bela on the other hand, has minifigures that are (sometimes) almost the same quality as LEGO. Their sets on the other hand is like the roll of a dice. I've bought sets that were just fine, maybe 9/10 compared to LEGO quality, while another set I'd have rated at 5/10... So now if I do buy fakes, I stick to bela and only to minifigures such as stormtrooper army builds and such. for anything bigger than battle packs, I stick to LEGO :) I do wish that LEGO could ship to me though. With 30,000 yuans in LEGO in 4 years and no intention of stopping, my wallet could use the help. :P

  11. I am not really a Technic Moccer but I am curious. If there was a custom option of buying cheap versions of rare parts like 19l flex axles, would you use them? I think I would for non structural parts, but not for structural parts.
