Location: G07 - Hennigan II Tags: civil, exploration Terrain: Forest Start of transmission #02. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Finally, I'm on Hennigan II. Although Livgorn mission was a success for Octan Corporation, and we were able to establish a permanent presence there, most of us had left sector H05 towards new explorations. First missions on G07 reported huge water deposits under this forest. Need to install these pumping machines now and then connect them all to central station. And I hope I won't see these butterflies Jacques LaRose mentioned in his report. Communications / Supply Station Linopeia III [M-B03] Lady Kianna, Engineer 30 Maian 3185 Engineer’s Log: Hot today, dry, no signs of man eating yellow or brown frogs. Finished installation of the forward Communication and Supply Station. All systems are working perfectly. Installed the security perimeter towers in six locations around the site. Supplies fully stocked, one Orbit Bar noted as missing. Galactic Juice, Hydrolyzed Water, Corporate Coffee, full stocked. Energy generators and power rods, stocked. Will need to send special report to HQ; pure Awesomnium detected by accident when drilling for support poles for the station. Containment rings placed around two wells, bubbling with Awesomnium. Moved location of supports, station is stable. Side Notes: The Awesomnium seems to be located under sage like plants with bright red flowers. As the lakes recede and the ground drys there seem to be no signs of the frogs, they must need the wet sandy soil. As I was leaving I noticed a third Awesomniun spring bubbling up under a sage plant near the front of the station. That brings the total number of wells to three. This is a superb site for drilling. After the succes of the mining station on Livgorn, Big Z's skills were known throughout the Octan Corporation. One thing led to another and before he knew he was involved in all kinds of projects. For example, before he disembarked the Axle to head to Yetornius (also known as I06) he was asked to help design a research station for G07. Dr. Long needed a station for her science projects. Having helped on that project Big Z got some new ideas and headed to I06 to build a Biomass research station. This one had to be better, ofcourse, and capable to research the Biomass gotten from the wildlife on I06. The lava proved to be a little problematic, but Octan provided the materials he needed as soon as he asked for them. Another thing that proved to be a challenge was the wildlife itself. Z had to equip the station with quite a bit of firepower to fend off the creatures. Pombe came to the station later, wondering if Big Z could engineer him something with which he could hover over the lava. His assistent Isabel was reported lost, and Pombe wanted to find her. Z didn't need to be asked twice, for he was quite fond of Isabel. He came up with a hover chair. Later he learned that Isabel was found. Her flesh burned of her bones by the hot lava. Her remains are being examined in Dome 2 as we speak. Equipped with 2 Biomass Research Domes, 2 residential towers (one of which has a penthouse for Bob the CEO), a tubetrain, landing platform, cannons and loads of stuff more the Yetornius Research Station is one of the most advanced and complete stations in Andromeda.

Week 2: Transmission 3 AD3851 Maian 23 Location: G05 - Jen's Star Tags: Civil, Building After mapping out a sector of the Cave system I came to a vast underground water aquifer. The cave area was pretty big around the water so I decided that this area would be a good spot to put the Water pumps. The supplies for the Water ram pumps came quickly and was a very easy to assemble. The great thing about these water ram pumps is that it uses no electricity to move water up through the cave system and will work none stop always pumping water.

Truly, a forsaken place. It was almost impossible to find a proper landing spot on the sites marked as "interesting" on satellite images... either wild jungles or frozen marshes there, both biomes allowing no possibilities to safely land. I'll better let our explorers deal with there places. Deployed surface sensors and analyzers as soon as the spot was more or less cleared. Awesomnium confirmed, extraction possible. However, the proper on-site analysis requires 6 days more. And I'll have to stay here all this time. Need to finish the cupola now - it will provide at least some safety both from environment and who-knows-what living here. Transmission 1 AD3851 Maian 16 Location: Jen's Star After a long trip in space I finally made it to Jen's Star. It was a rough landing along side of the mountains. Octan corp has Let me test out their new Model T Utility Bot. Its specialty is in construction but right now its has been good at uprooting plants and moving rocks. I've been searching along side this rocky mountain ridge for signs of water flow. Took me some time to find but I finally come across a mountain side minerals deposit and according to what I was taught only water can do that. Scanners are picking up loads of minerals in that deposit but it looks too dangerous for me to excavate intensively, Plus Night is falling upon me and I need to get some rest after the long hike today but lucky the Utility Bot never sleep. The Bot has also reported about picking up the sound of running water but that is way to far at the moment to journey to at this time of hour. I'm going to take shelter in the cave up ahead.
