  1. Note - this freebuild takes place shortly after Wake up call. Imperial Star Destroyer Avenger Level 84 [Restricted Area] ISB Major: Sergeant, welcome. Please, stand at ease. ISB Colonel: Sergeant ... is there something on your face? Sgt. Lucas Kirana: Yes sir. Sorry, sir. They've had me working in the hangers. It takes a few days to get the engine oil completely off. Sir. ISB Colonel: But you're feeling fit? You're ready for duty? Lucas: Yes, sir. Very much so, sir. ISB Major: You've seen a lot of action, haven't you Sergeant? Lucas: Yes, sir, I have. ISB Major: Your record specifies almost a dozen combat missions this year which involved you and other members of the 142nd SpecOps battalion working directly for the Imperial Security Bureau. Lucas: ... I'm not presently disposed to discuss those operations, sir. ISB Major: Did you not execute missions for the ISB while working as a commando? Lucas: ... No sir. ISB Major: Did you not infiltrate Bothawui via wingsuit last year, to extract a compromised ISB agent? Lucas: ... ISB Major: Did you not return two days later and execute thirteen members of a rebel cell identified by that agent? Sergeant? Lucas: Sir, I am unaware of any such operation, nor would I be disposed to discuss such an operation, if it did in fact exist. Sir. ISB Colonel: Okay, that's fine. Sergeant, have you heard of Agent Goatm An? Lucas: I don't believe so, sir. ISB Colonel: Davin, why don't you play those recordings. These were monitored out of a shuttle, used by a former Separatist tracker we sent after An. This has been verified as Agent An's voice. Recording: Date 38.9.8. 0400 hours. “I watched a granite slug, crawl along the edge of a vibroblade. That's my dream ... it's my nightmare. Crawling ... slithering, along the edge ... of a vibroblade. And surviving.” Date 33.9.17. 2300 hours. “But we must kill them. We must ... incinerate them. Shaak after shaak, kaadu after kaadu, ship after ship, army after army. And they call me an assassin. What do you call it, when the assassins accuse the assassin? They lie … they lie, and we have to be merciful for those who lie... Those nabobs, I hate them. I do hate them” He had a grasp of tactics and strategy that surpassed many of his commanding officers. And he was a good man, too. A man of wit, and humor. He's gone AWOL now, totally off the reservation. Stole an Imperial ship and disappeared. And, I have another piece of shocking news for you: Agent An was about to be arrested for murder. I don't follow, sir. Murdered who? He's left a trail of bodies, to be frank. People he suspected of being traitors or double agents, mainly. Well, you see, Lucas, in this war, things get ... confused out there. Power, ideals, the old morality, and practical military necessity. But out there, working alone, it must be a temptation to take matters into your own hands. To play God, if you will. Because there's a conflict in every human heart, between the rational and the irrational, between good and evil. And good does not always triumph. Sometimes ... the dark side overcomes what Chancellor Palpatine called 'the better angels of our nature.' And, very obviously, he has gone insane. Your mission is to proceed to the Outer Rim, pick up Goatm's path via the Seperatist shuttle, learn what you can along the way. When you find Goatm, get close to him by whatever means available, and ... terminate Goatm's mission. He's out there operating without any decent restraint, totally beyond the pale of any acceptable human conduct. After all that, we still have to use euphemisms. It's an old term, from the corporate sector. To "terminate" someone, of course, meant to fire them. If someone was "terminated with prejudice" they'd be blacklisted, and unable to find work in any related guilds. Someone terminated with "extreme prejudice" ... well, you'd be surprised how easy it is for the CEO of a major company to have someone killed. You understand, Sergeant, that this mission does not exist, nor will it ever exist... A galaxy full of rebels, and they send me to kill one of our own. Sh*t, charging a man with murder in a war like this is like handing out speeding tickets at the Boonta Eve Classic. I took the mission. What the hell else was I going to do? But I really didn't know what I'd do when I found him.

    [SoNE 8.3] First Camp

Please Judge this build! The story so far: First Day Aboard the Avenger At The Table-Before The Storm Rescue Mission Reassigned Eliminating The Competition Target Practice “Here we go again…” Sorry markus, Rebel trooper again. The build/story: Beltar and his team have just landed after getting shot down before arriving at the drop zone, due to this delay the team sets up a camp at a later time. 2200 (10PM) Log: Nest Alpha (First Camp) is up, setting up Communications Beacon now. Beltar: So, Sarge, I don’t think all of us are going to fit in that tent over there… Sarge: Well, we are takin’ shifts kid, we always do. We don’t have enough supplies nor people to get anymore up. We lost our second tent in the drop...Poor souls… Because of our current predicament, team Two is moving as we speak. They have to make more ground because the missing medical team is farther. Beltar: Hmm…Sarge, how long do we have till the men we are rescuing, well, d--? Sarge: Best not to think about that son. Beltar: Alright, so with this setback we are, how many days behind schedule? Sarge: 2 Days behind schedule. Rodrick is setting up the coms over there, so that our ships don’t pick us up too early. Rodrick: Aight’, Borry, this things all powered up now, I’ve just sent a level 7 encrypted message to the fleet about 2 systems out. Boris: Dumb it down a bit Roddy! Rodrick: Alright: The fleet now knows that we are behind schedule. Boris: K, I’ll deliver the news to Sarge. *Boris comes over to the fire and takes a seat after removing his helmet and putting his blaster aside* Boris: Alright, so the fleet now knows that we are behind schedule. So, when are we starting are campin’ ritual…..? Sarge: Not today Boris…If you do that, you’re telling that to Kirk. Boris:…Nah, on second thought, we won’t do that today… Kirk: *Snore* *Snore* *Snore* Boris: yeah… I’m not going over there. He’s protective of that ‘MP while he’s sleeping. Sarge: Yeah, yeah, and yeah. Wait, wait. I’m getting a signal from our scout. “Sir, I just checked the wreckage, the pilots are dead. Other supplies from the men who were shot down mid-jump are either burnt beyond use, too heavy, or pulverized.” Sarge: Roger that, come back to Nest Alpha. “Well, I see something that else that may be of interest to us, I’ve found what looks like a Rebel Flak tower with maybe four or five guards around it. Permission to take it out?” Sarge: Permission Granted. Sarge out. Indianaan Jeans: Hey everyone look, I’m an Imperial! Mastrach: Hahaha! Great scot man! The resemblance is totally uncanny!!! Remey: Stop foolin’ around down there! I’m tryin’ to work up here! Mastrach: Fine mate! But we gotta pass the time somehow! Remey: We gotta pass the time somehow… Mastrach: Wait, I got something on me scanner! Scout: Surprise Rebel scum! Indianaan Jeans: *Wilhelm Scream* Pilot: Yearhhhhgg! Mastrach: Come one, load gun, load! Scout: Too late! Mastrach: Ksshzz Remey: Wait, we can strike a dea--__ “Target neutralized” Sarge: “Okay, come back now, so you can get your rest.” “Alright, one second, I need to pay some respect to fallen comrades. Poor Souls.” Beltar: What does he mean by paying his respects? Sarge: Well, if we ever find a fallen Imperial, we try to do something to honor them in one way or another. He must have found something there… Poor Souls. Beltar: Saddening isn’t it. That the Rebels think that all Imperials are bad, when most of us are just following orders. Or the fact that they shot down an I.M.E.S (Imperial Medical Evacuation Ship) which had about two guns, which didn’t fire till they fired at us. Returning fire is protocol. And we needed to survive that to try to save some lives. Sarge: Agreed. Sometimes, I wonder if being on the Empire is truly the best job for people like us. Of course, there are the ‘bad’ and ‘evil’ Imperials, but as you said, most of us are just following orders…Following orders….Like droids almost… Alright, I’ll take first watch! Everyone else, in the tent or somewhere or do something. And Rod, stay out of the storage tent this one time please. Rodrick: I won’t do it again! Hopefully! No promises though… Sarge: Wonderful. We move out between 0500 and 0600. Got it? (Everyone) Got it Sarge! Sarge: Kirk? *Loud Snore* More pictures in the spoiler! (Because I take to many ) Hope you enjoyed this chapter in Beltar’s story, just trying to move my story along before the next episode! (While using one of my last 2 freebuilds and I think the episode is coming out soon I think) C and C welcome! ~Beltar

[SoNE 8.2] "Here We Go Again..."

Edit: Please judge! The story so far: First Day Aboard the Avenger At The Table-Before The Storm Rescue Mission Reassigned Eliminating The Competition Target Practice *Imagine that the white background is sky where necessary (Still not too good at GIMP.)* The Build/Story: After some target practice, and a mission briefing, Beltar’s squad and one other squad where dropped off by Medical SSD Massacre and Medical Research ISD, Bludgeon. Once Savior One and Two were in the atmosphere: (On board Savior 1) Sarge: Here we go again. Another drop. Nervous aren't you, of course you are, first time you're gonna be jumping out of a ship... Beltar: Yeah…Also because I read the report of what Weisson is supposed to be doing down there… Sarge: That rebel base? Don’t worry. We won’t be going anywhere near that thing. I hope. *Pilot over Comm* This is your captain speaking. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we will be over the drop zone in T-Minus 20 minutes. The bad news is: I got one scary a** Rebel gun pointing at us. We are gonna have to start the drop sooner. I’m surprised that they’d shoot at two more ships with red crosses on the sides. Sarge: Cooper? Is that even possible? We were supposed to be far away from that. *Pilot* Yeah…We are…but that’s one heckuva cannon…Also Savior 2 has been hit, and has begun the drop. *Explosison* *Pilot* Woah! We're hit. What was that back there? Sarge: Uh, Rom ain’t comin down with us… Beltar: Well there he goes… He’s kinda dead now… *Pilot* Well that’s great. One hull breach and part of our shield was hit, along with Searchlight 1, even though we are dropping during the day. Sarge: Just try to get us a little closer! *Pilot* Alright, Savior 2 has just confirmed that all crew but the copilot is off, ‘cause the pilot is dead. And Malcom is putting her down. And I gotta get Kirk and the MP on the ground now. Opening Ramp at the same time. Sarge: Roger that Cooper…Knew you guys probably wouldn’t make it home… Begin drop sequence Gamma-Alpha Four. Also, inform Kirk to pull the shute a little earlier so we don't waste another hour like last time greasing up the joins from the force of landing... *Pilot* Haha! Will do Sarge. Beltar: What do you mean Sarge? By both those things? Sarge: Gamma-Alpha Four means the front jumps first, cause their gonna get hit first from a cannon. And normally, our pilots don’t make it home. Cooper has had a streak of five missions. I think his luck is up, he was good while he lasted. Beltar: Can’t he jump? Sarge: We don’t have enough supplies, and pilots are not trained for the field. Also, he has to set her down in the right place… The troops started filing one by one to the back. The scout with snipers and a light jetpack, Scourge with a stretcher, Boris with a stretcher, and Rodrick, carrying the tent and a couple other supplies. Most of the blasters and other supplies were stored on Savior 2, which was completely cleared before going down besides the co-pilot. Sarge: Move it along men, move it. Rodrick: Ah, poor Rom. Boris: Well let’s get a move on you slow scout! Scout: One sec, waiting for the right balance.. Boris: Oh come on! MOVE already! Beltar: They always like this during a drop? Sarge: They know we may be going down soon, they want to get off faster, before that happens. Boris: Alright boys, let’s make mom and dad proud. Jumpin’ into a zone while being shot at takes some courage...Also I'm last off" Scout: Well good Ol’ Boris, you a coward? Boris: Ah shut up, I’m always out last for section one, and you know that punk. Scout: Fine, let’s jump! Boris: See you down there Beltar and Sarge. Good luck on your decent! Geronimo! Beltar: see you down there… Sarge: Have a good flight! *Pilot* This is your captain speaking. Cabin 2 is lost, all crew in cabin two are dead from what I can see over my cam, so Beltar and Sarge, your turn. Better do it quick, I feel like that gun is getting a lock on us… Beltar: Come on! What are you waiting for sir! Sarge: I’m jammed! Beltar Go Go Go! Get off while you can! Beltar: Not leaving without you Sarge. Sarge: Come on lad, pull for cryin out loud! Pull! Beltar: Well you gotta push you know! Sarge: I AM! In about 15 seconds of pushing and pulling, it became unjammed, and Sarge rose up quickly to get his gear. Sarge: Alright, let’s go. Beltar: Agreed. *Pilot* This is your co-pilot speaking. Cooper is down, and I suggest you boys get off fast! See you on the other side. GO GO GO GO N--…. *Boom* Sarge: RUN! Beltar: I’m running, I’m going! Sarge: Now or never Beltar, we are higher than we are supposed to be but we got— Ah, jumping already… Beltar: I think I’d rather jump! Pilot Log: More Pictures in this spoiler. Bonus, I liked this one, so I didn't delete it, but I also didn't want to use it for the story pictures. This build was more of a filler, and to get my story moving, so that I can use my last 3 freebuilds, and to try to finish this arc before the next episode comes out... Hope you enjoyed, and as always, C and C welcome! ~Beltar

    Imperial Armada Trading Post

Hello all! I haven't done any builds in a while, so one day when I was looking at some images of lego trading posts, I decided to make my own. I noticed I built stuff for my Bluecoats and Redcoats, but nothing for my Imperial Armada/Spanish. So, I decided to borrow the figures and flag from the Armada Flasghip and build a small trading post! Here we go. The frontal view of the trading post (excuse the slight slant of the pic). It features 5 minifigures, a rowboat with unloading cargo, a dock with an upper and lower part and a dock lamp. Spanish Captain talks to Merchant, other merchant starts to unload his cargo. A Armada soldier guards on top of the Trading Post. Imperial Armada Trading Post by James McGill, on Flickr Top view of the soldier, flag and cargo barrels on the top. Imperial Armada Trading Post 2 by James McGill, on Flickr Top pops off and reveals the interior which features a small table with a cup and two maps. It can fit a minifigure. Imperial Armada Trading Post interior by James McGill, on Flickr Lastly, the side view of the build. The Captain talks to the Merchant. There is a good look at the lamp and the cargo, and the side of the trading post. Imperial Armada Trading Post side by James McGill, on Flickr Thanks for reading!
  5. Sullust. At least it isn’t as cold as Hoth. But the volcanic smoke has made a lot of patrolling missions a whole lot more difficult. Take KQ-351, now restoring in the sick bay after almost suffocating due to a minor failure in his ventilation system. Am I glad this base isn’t built near to any major streams of lava. That would be excellent for defence, but highly impractical… On the other side, this base doesn’t seem to be built to keep anyone out in the first place. Sure, the solid rock walls, the few but strong gates and the narrow entrances are good to keep people inside, but there isn’t much protection from attackers. [soNE Ep. IV] Eye on the skies by Bert.VR, on Flickr It was built when just the thought of attacking the Empire would have made everybody laugh. It was built when there was no real Rebellion trying to crack into it. When everything was peaceful… The main services got a place on the roof. Good for communications. Bad for protection. Cannons? Nowhere to see… So it’s up to us to defend the base. The pilots will have to save the day. The AT-AT pilots on the ground, the TIE pilots in the air. We’ll keep the forces of the Rebellion off, while our friends on the inside will stop the infiltrators. My rank got me this position at the main gate. Destroy everything that tries to get in, they said, until the backup arrives. So my eyes are scanning the air, in the hope of seeing reinforcements, in the expectation of seeing a horde of Rebel fighters. [soNE Ep. IV] Ground reinforcements by Bert.VR, on Flickr At least I’m not alone to stop that filth of the galaxy. Every pilot has been summoned. So I’m not the only one to stand up against this brutal Rebel attack. It will be a lonely battle though. In this atmosphere communication is hard, and in fear of abuse by the Rebel infiltrators, all communication has been abandoned after the distress call to our fleet. Look, there’s one of my colleagues in his TIE flying by, from the other side of the cliff where the hangar bay is. He’s heading for… the sky? Why isn’t he on his post in the first place? It could be a reconnaissance mission, but why? We have our detection equipment right here. We already know the place. And why doesn’t a take our usual routes? Why is he flying like a wampa anyway? Whoever it is, I… It might be a Rebel… And I pull the trigger. My instinct is a good shooter. Smoke coming from the crucial wing section, the TIE goes down. It disappears behind the rocks, where it will most certainly perish in the lava. [soNE Ep. IV] Every shot makes two victims by Bert.VR, on Flickr It might have been a friend… No… the thought petrifies me. But how? How could it have been a friend? That’s impossible. Why would he abandon his post? Why would he fly like that… No, it can not… may not… have been a friend. Surely, I have done what was best. There might be hundreds of explanations. A reconnaissance mission because our equipment failed, an emergency evacuation, some kind of special mission… or just a foolish act of heroism by a rookie. Is there another explanation? Couldn’t ir really have been a Rebel. Who somehow got past all security. But how? Who somehow managed to get away with a TIE fighter. Impossible, isn’t it? Aren’t all TIE fighters in the air? Except… KQ-351’s. Hope. Despair. I’m a hero I’m a murderer . I’ll never know. The wreckage will never be found. People will go missing today. Fighters will perish today. Who knows what chaos the upcoming battle brings. And what chaos might follow. I’ll never know if I did the right thing. Nobody’ll ever know. Nobody even saw it happen. Nobody goes through the same hell as I. No one to talk to. I’m alone with a killer. [soNE Ep. IV] What have I done? by Bert.VR, on Flickr Only now I see what this war is taking. I’ve killed before, but only now I realize I remember every single deadly shot I fired. Twelve. I already took the life of twelve people. People just like me. Friend or foe, I killed twelve people. I’ve killed myself twelve times. What’s left of me? I’m only a human. And humans are not made to kill. Whether I just shot down a Rebel or an Imperial, I’m still a murderer. And I can’t undo that. That’s what this war has turned me into. Not into a hero. Into a murderer. There are no heroes. Not in battle. I won’t claim a medal for what I’ve done. All I can do, is go on. Go on and end this war. I need to do the best I can to stop this war. Even if I’ll have to kill again. This war has to be stopped. And if battle is what it takes, so be it. I hope that one day, this war ends with throwing away weapons. That not the Rebellion, not the Empire wins, but peace. But that’s a thing for heroes. I’m just a simple pilot. All I can do is choose the lesser evil. Either way, I’ll have to kill again. I’ll have to kill others. I’ll have to kill myself again. But that’s the only way. Now that I’ve took this road, I can’t go back. I can only go on to be the victim of my own shots. _________________ OoC: LDD file here One more picture of the gate available on my Flickr Not everything is connected, bacause that's (nearly) impossible in LDD. Those Technic axles in the rock pillars aren't connected to each other, but in real life a (LEGO) grey rubber band should do the trick. Trust me, I tried it out. Same goes for the smallest tires in the smoke, that just hang on the bar. Also, I'm not entirely sure about the rigidity of the rock wall. I did add in some Technic support, but in LDD it's really hard to work with all those angled surfaces. Also, I used a couple of 2x2 dark tan plates, that never appeared in a Lego set, but are available on bricklink. I hope these aren't any major issues, and that you still can enjoy the build.

    [MOC] first post! Bespin duel

Hey, I've been MOCing scenes from the Star Wars movies (pretty much exclusively OT) but I've only just gotten round to posting! This is my latest - the infamous Bespin Duel. Checked loads of movie stills, but couldn't find a single view of the whole gantry, so I've taken a bit of artistic licience. The main reason it's taken so long to get round to is the lack of a Bespin Luke minifig - I've put him together from a rebel technician torso and Johnny Thunder (jungle) legs! https://flic.kr/p/wn2iaz https://flic.kr/p/wjfUPC https://flic.kr/p/w4XH5h https://flic.kr/p/vpy9y3 https://flic.kr/p/wkUu2W https://flic.kr/p/w4Xwvu https://flic.kr/p/wmzexk I couldn't resist getting Luke to throw himself off at the end! https://flic.kr/p/wn2m6V
  7. With the arrival of the new Tydirium set, I know most of you will not be impressed with this creation, however I am pretty proud of how it came out because the actual set, even though its certainly looks more detailed, is way too big compared to the rest of my collection and I already have all the SW vehicles I would ever want and wont deliver my self to the hype of buying just about every updated version of what I already have because it doesn't fit the scale (they are not actually to scale but don't look oversized or dwarfed beside each other). I always wanted to have the official set released back then but never could manage to get it, I eventually got a landing craft but it was way below my expectations, so I dismantled and rebuilt it multiple times until I got some other useful bricks that helped me to complete a custom version of my cherished ship, later I made some improvements and finally completed this build to achieve the size and sturdiness I wanted, its still not perfect but is quite close to what I had in mind and can sit beside my AT-AT and some old modified TIE fighters without bothering me (I am a little obsesive, you know ). 03 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 05 by Nom Carver, en Flickr The cockpit is basically the same of the landing craft, I tried some other designs of cockpits but non stud up to my requirements of seize and shape, however this one flows with the fuselage good enough. 14 by Nom Carver, en Flickr The dorsal wing is also held tightly thanks to some ideas borrowed from the T-16 and the Tydirium, I would have used white beams but grey will do fine for now, and this also helps to break the white monotony. 15 by Nom Carver, en Flickr The side wings swivel very swiftly but are tight enough to keep them in position. 12 by Nom Carver, en Flickr It also features a turret on the rear and access to the interior with room for the emperor and one royal guard, it could fit even four troops with slight mods but I like it just like it is. 07 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 09 by Nom Carver, en Flickr 10 by Nom Carver, en Flickr Comments and criticism are welcome, I hope you liked it.
  8. The story so far: First Day Aboard the Avenger At The Table-Before The Storm Rescue Mission Reassigned Eliminating The Competition The Build/Story: After being reassigned and lots of delivering the podracer, along with lots logistics and paperwork from Tatooine, Beltar finally got into an AT-MP as his new Staff Sargent had promised. Even though Beltar read the manual multiple times, it was still nearly alien to him. Though, in a few long minutes, he finally got the hang of it. Beltar: “Sarge, what kind of medical purpose does this thing have?” Sarge: “Uh, cover fire? Kid, just do it…” Beltar: “Instructions? Anything? Just fire at the wall?” Sarge: “No, there are some targets that will appear in a minute, hit them all as fast as you can, if you miss them, they will loop back at the end. Please don't pull an Ol ‘Kerkerold’ He blew up half the facility. That’s when we decided to lock all missiles during training…” Beltar then received the green signal that the loop had been started. Beltar’s eyes watched trough the small window for the slightest movement. Then suddenly, he realized that it wasn't a moving target, but a bright red dot! He hit one, then another one. And they stayed lit. “Two-in-a-row, nice. I shouldn't get cocky yet though…” Beltar thought to himself. Sarge: Huh, two-in-a-row. Kirk, this kid may have some use yet . Captain Kirk: Aye, don't speak too soon though, a lot can go wrong… Like Ol’ K- Beltar: I can hear you two you know. Sarge: Focus on the targets! Meanwhile, an Imperial Adjustment Agency Officer* (IAA) watches on, with his two elite guards, they assess the surrounding troops at Bay 27 for possible relocation, reassignment, or to be relieved of duty. IAA Officer: Some of these boys are sloppy. Perhaps they can be ‘reassigned’ to a better location…” Guard 1: Agreed sir. Guard 2: Sir, I do not see what you mean. IAA Officer: Just listen to them! Stormtrooper 1: Hey Boris, do you think Beltar will pull an Ol’ Kerkerold? Boris: Nah, I was with him for a mission on Tatooine, seems like a good guy, he should do this. Oh! Two-in-a-row! I’ll take those 50 credits now. After this, I’ll grab a set of sabacc by the way. Stormtrooper 2: This is so boring. Even a janitor duty would be better...Especially if this guy blows up the walls... IAA Officer: That one, could be relocated to janitor duty. But their Sergeant and the one named Kirk are good at their job here, they can stay as well as this Boris character, others can move. But this Beltar. This Beltar shows promise. He may be useful in the future, oh there’s four-in-a-row now. He may be very, very useful. I shall write a path for him and file it to the IAA myself. Pending approval from the board of course. Guard 1: This doesn’t have to do with the fact that Beltar is your so- IAA Officer: Quiet. That is a private matter. He may be even better at my old job that I had late in the Clone Wars, except re-outfitted with an improved version of the suit of course, we shall wait for at least two months for that hopefully. Now let’s leave this area of the facility to judge the rest of the troops, then we shall return to Coruscant. Guard 1 and 2: Sir, yes sir. During the IAA discussion, Beltar managed to get a six-in-a-row before missing the 7th and 8th out of the ten causing an actual loop to happen, but he did complete it on the 2nd round. Epilogue: (Beltar has just gotten down from the AT-MP) Sarge: You did a great job so- (Commlink Buzzes) Uh-hu, command, this is SS-4459 reporting, I’ll get our team ready. Beltar, Admiral, no Commander Wiesson and two squadrons of stormtroopers just lost contact with us. From their last transmission, sounds like a rebel ambush. Boris! Get the squad ready. Beltar, follow me. Beltar: Admiral Wiesson? I know him, a good friend of mine, we have to get there, we got to get him out of there! Sarge: First, he’s now a commander. Second, let me finish. They just sent one medical team down already. They are now missing too. We are to search for survivors and get out of there ASAP. Looks like there will be some lower bunks available after this…I’ll brief the rest of the squad, you get the pilots ready. Beltar:...Understood sir... Sarge: Look, this Wiesson is your friend, if he is still alive, we will do anything we can to save him and any remaining men. I don’t like losing good men to rebels. Get to the hangar and inform the pilots. NOW! Beltar then scurried off and informed the pilots of the upcoming drop. They loaded an AT-MP on and prepared tents, stretchers, supplies…and wingsuits. “What on earth are they going to use those for?” Beltar thought to himself. More Pictures in the spoiler below. Thanks for reading! C and C welcome! Hope you like it! This is actually one of the biggest MOCS I've ever built or posted on eurobricks... Also, the story isn't that great, for two reasons: 1: I don't have enough time since I still have to write 2 more threads today.. and 2: I don't really know what else to add, this build is more like a bridge which will allow me to develop Beltar's story further. This was a wip for at least a month and a half. Then it was completed for the last half month, but I didn't have a good camera, but now I do! I hinted about a lot of different things in this build… ~Beltar Edit: Forgot to Mention that Markus's build gave some inspiration. IAA* Fake Imperial Military Branch, may have importance later…

  10. Not again... I knew today was going to be bad when I found this dewback out of her pen this morning. The big old girl had already knocked over some seriously expensive equipment and was busy licking the dew off of the fuel tanks, which likely accounts for her present digestive problems. I caught a terrible beating from my sergeant for her escape even though it was the pilots’ fault. They came back again last night, drunker than the night before and woke me up with a kick and something warm spraying on my face. After they ran me out of the stables, I am pretty sure they were messing with the dewbacks and they must have left this one loose. My sergeant did not care; said I was responsible for the dewbacks regardless. The rest of the squad was laughing and seemed all too pleased to see me on the wrong end of the lash once again. Now, this stupid old beast has been defecating all over the desert and I’m responsible for cleaning it up for some reason. They never said why I had to clean this stuff up; it is the freaking desert – a giant litter box – nobody is going to notice some dewback droppings. What does the Empire do about all of the wild dewback droppings? Do they have special squads to clean that up, too? I really should know better than to ask questions at this point. Nothing about the Empire makes any sense. Right now it looks like the local pilots are buying a pod racer from some sleazy salesman. They might even be buying the Dug pilot by the looks of things. These Imperials have no respect for non-humans. They treat us like slaves, serving them drinks, keeping their bar, lining their prisons, unnecessarily cleaning up their animals’ crap in the desert… These joker pilots are the last ones that should be getting into the pod races. From what their Iktotchi barmaid has told me, the Black Sun has been propping up this particular compound because the officers in charge are funneling Imperial V-Wings to the cartel. It’s been a good deal for the officers, who have bought up some extravagant living quarters and attached a first-rate Imperial shop. As far as the Empire is concerned, their only job is to provide aerial support to any Tatooine operations (which conveniently accounts for high V-Wing turnover due to the geography), but the enterprising among them have expanded their presence here to the aforementioned graft as well as some light “policing”/kidnapping/extortion of the locals. Because of the subsequent surrounding sentiment, this entire outpost is at the mercy of the cartel and they do not even know it. I am sure the cartel will just use this entry into the pod races to recoup their credits from these officers, but I am hoping the cartel will pull the rug out of this entire operation and that my squad will get taken down by the backlash. We have only been here for a few weeks; something about providing security during some heightened activity. Apparently they pull this kind of detail a lot; moving from planet to planet filling in the gaps where needed. I have only been with this squad since their last billet, but I can already tell that they were an ignorant, stupid lot of brutes. When I am not being beaten for imaginary infractions, the other troopers ridicule me mercilessly. They will not even let me wear a full uniform because it would bring shame to their glorious station. Some of the privates even tried to file down my horns before the squad leader stopped them (his reasoning, to be sure that I could be readily identified as non-human and treated appropriately – with scorn and mistrust as a non-citizen to the Empire). I hate these people. I hate the Empire. Even more, I hate my family for leaving me to these wolves. SoNE Episode VIII Entry by goatman461, on Flickr

  12. Tatooine. Sh*t. I can't believe I'm back on Tatooine. I've been here a month now, waiting for a mission. 'Here' is a sprawling warren of repair bays and maintenance shops, a little southeast of Mos Espa. There are stormtroopers at all the entrances and exits, but inside it's a decidedly non-military atmosphere. If I had to guess, I'd say this is an ISB facility. The folks I work with seem to fall into one of two categories: there are broken, tired looking soldiers, waiting for the Empire to figure out what to do with them, and then there are extremely skilled technicians and mechanics who were born the wrong gender, or species. Or both. I'm not sure what planet Nejj is from, but she can repair or rewire anything that uses electricity, and she's absolutely fearless when it comes to heights. If she were human, and male, she'd be running this entire facility; instead, she's sweating away with the rest of us grunts in the shops. The repair bays themselves hold a wide variety of craft, from landspeeders to military walkers, (a surprising number of them are filled with V-wings being refurbished). My task, for the past three weeks, has been a pod racer. Why does the Galactic Empire need a souped-up pod racer? We can guess, but the first thing you learn working for the ISB is not to ask too many questions. The hours are long and the work is hard, which is good; the last thing I need is time to think. For a while it looked like we were going to miss our deadline for finishing the pod racer, but a sandstorm blew up at the last minute and the race was pushed back two weeks so that they'd have time to repair the damage and clear the sand out of the viewing area. The Jawa word for sandstorm is "Shug-Nubbuth," which translates literally into "The Tooth Cloud." Supposedly the wind-blown sand can reduce a bantha to bones in less than an hour. We all ended up sleeping here in the barracks for two nights - it was too dangerous to travel. I was worried that, without my nightly medication (the distilled, Corellian type) the nightmares would be back. Luckily, some of the officers here had liquor stashes that rivaled my own, and I have enough combat pay saved up that I could afford the inflated prices they were charging. We finished the right engine and assembled the racer last night, just a few hours before deadline. I'm not sure what our next project will be. I'm not sure how long I'll be here. I'll worry about tomorrow if it comes.

SoNE-EpVIII-Frbld1-Pic2 by kuatdriveyards17, on Flickr Apparently there's some important near-planet-wide operation underway on Tatooine which no one cared to brief me about, so forces are being constantly deployed to numerous distant outposts. SoNE-EpVIII-Frbld1-Pic3 by kuatdriveyards17, on Flickr After a long, dreary ride we finally arrive at the comm post. It's not much and it is by no means self-sufficient- the only permanent structures are a comm tower, a defensive turret and a holotable- which is why troops and supplies must be brought every morning and returned to base by night. SoNE-EpVIII-Frbld1-Pic4 by kuatdriveyards17, on Flickr We all work to unload the cargo and set everything up. SoNE-EpVIII-Frbld1-Pic5 by kuatdriveyards17, on Flickr Naturally it isn't long after the work is done till we pull out the sabacc deck. Hopefully it won't be long until we actually get involved in this massively important operation that way I can actually feel like I'm making a difference as opposed to just ensuring the Empire can communicate more efficiently over a few square kilometers of sand. INT-4 Interceptor

Today, I would like to present, my take on the INT-4 Interceptor. A short-range flyer operated by a single pilot, at least one version of the INT-4 was designed to also be deployable from within the body of an AT-AT. Yes, I am thinking about modifying an AT-AT, when I get this built in real bricks. Just don't know which one. We/ I, have 4 choose from now?! 3 System and one Technic. The Technic is out of the question, so System, it is, 4483, 8129, or 75054?! Anyways, back to the model: Wings up!! Wings down!! Nice and cozy, no?! The back the landing gear down. This model was a lot of fun to make. To me, it resembles a flying AT-ST head with wings. Plus the SNOT was a lot of fun. It has 209 pieces. The .lxf is in my Brickshelf folder. Thanks for looking! Tomorrow will be the flying coffin, AST-5, Armored Sentinel Transport. Jamie

    MTV-7 Multi-Terrain Vehicle

Today, I present the MTV-7 Mini-Rig from the Kenner Star Wars line from the 80's. The MTV-7 Multi-Terrain Vehicle[1] was a wheeled scouting car utilized by the Imperial Army during the prime years of the Galactic Civil War. In addition to the vehicle's basic upright position, the MTV-7's large double wheels,[2] each featuring grooved surface treading,[3] extended outward from the main body to adopt a low, ground-hugging configuration.[2] Such versatility made the MTV-7 adaptable to many environments, and the vehicle was easier to deploy than the Empire's All Terrain Scout Transport walker.[3] Armed with a single rotating laser cannon, the MTV-7 held room for a single pilot in an open-air cockpit—unlike speeder bikes, the MTV-7 did not require a pilot possessed of suicidal tendencies.[3] A forward-facing, grilled headlight was positioned at the front of the vehicle.[2] This is my largest Mini-Rig. The original model had room for one Snowtrooper. I took the idea of it and made in more of a troop carrier for rough terrain. There is room for a driver, 3 troops, and 1 gunner. To get the angles on the wheels, I used click-hinges. But, I did make a smaller version of this model, one that is more in line with original. I wish there were smaller slopes, the sides of the smaller model are so flat. I like them both, even thou, the larger isn't really true to the source material. The larger has 355 pieces in it. The smaller has 130. The lxf is attached and includes both model in it. Jamie 10 - EU - Mini-Rig - MTV-7 - Multi-Terrain Vehicle.lxf

    [MOC] Upsilon-class Lander

Figured I wanted to make somethin' like a Sentinel-class Shuttle to carry all the shiny stormtroopers I got for Christmas, but since 1. I don't have the correct color or shape of colors to make a perfect Sentinel and 2. I also wanted my shuttle to carry AT-STs, I decided to go my own way with this. So, here is construction log one: As you can see, I have a tidy little gearbox that the wings are attatched to. Here's the crank that operates it (I'll turn it in to something prettier later.) And here's with the wings folded down. That's it for today! Come back tomorrow for more!

    [MOC] Probe Droid

Hello everyone and regards from Finland, I am a new member on this forum and I thought I'd like to share some of my recent MOCs. I am Star Wars fan to the ultimatum and here you go, as my first MOC here: Lego MOC Probe Droid Features two Lego-battlepack blasters, the other hidden into the core structure, and the other lurking between the legs. The head also rotates as in the movies. This MOC will also make a small part of the Kessel diorama we are setting up for the ModelExpo 2015 in Helsinki (10.-12.4.) with Hereticae and a couple of other builders. Those dark grey clips on the core that hold together those black control sticks on a tube I will change to black ones when I happen find/buy more of them. Those red 1 x 1 plates are the bolts of the blasters that are not very easily seen from this angle. Challenge: take Lego-pictures without cat megablocks in the picture. So far success rate 50 % for Legos. Apparently the Imperial Viper Droid was no match against the mighty Krayt Dragon... -Samppu

    [WIP] Imperial Shuttle

Hello, there are two periods in Star Wars timeline that I am most interested in. The other one is the end of the clone wars and the other the time related to Grand Admiral Thrawn. For this latter I have been building an Imperial Shuttle, so here you go: [MOC] Imperial Shuttle Features: - Opening wings and retractable landing gear. They are actually synchronized, so when you open the wings, the landing gears will automatically pull in, or when you close the wings, the landing gears will automatically push out. - Two fiber-wired missiles with a range up to some 2-3 meters. They are under the floor, and they fire when you open their ports next to main turbolaser cannons. I will actually replace them with spring-shooters, because they are very difficult to reload as the shuttle weights pretty much. - Two spring-shooters behind the wing cannons, one at each. These ones are not present in the following pictures as I am making an important upgrade to them. Before they were launched under the wings that was again somewhat circus due to the weight. Now I make a button on the top of the wings, so that they would be much easier to launch. - Opening boarding ramp that is tall enough for a minifigure to walk in and out. - Fully decorated interior and cocpit. - Controllable twin laser cannon at the back of the ship that you can move from the inside of the shuttle. Control panels and viewport is inside the shuttle and a minifigure can actually be played to use this cannon. However, it does not shoot anything. - Cocpit walls can be easily removed so that you can play and access the seats. Also the main fin can be easily removed in order to access the other parts of the interior. This is still in the WIP-stage, because I will still make some modifications on the parts mentioned above. Also the wings have been built up in a great hurry for a Lego-Show, so I will try to make them more studless and symmetric. -Samppu

    [MOC] Imperial Hovertrain

A MOC based (loosely) on the Imperial Hovertrain as seen on Kessel in Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. As the game has such low-resolution textures, the task of making an exact model seemed pretty pointless, and so I have simply modeled the main features of the car, leaving the rest to my own design. The main car, carrying stormtroopers, is followed by a prisoner transport (which is simply a rougher, boxier, more primitive version of the main car instead of being modeled after the game equivalent), and the train would be transporting prisoners between the Kessel spice mines and the planetary Imperial prison. A few pictures: The sliding guillotine-doors were achieved through the usage of opposing grille-tiles: A couple of close-ups on the doors (the doors in the stormtrooper-carriage were meant to bear a resemblance to riot shields): And the cockpits/controls, eventhough non-visible (without partial disassembly), are still existent:
  22. This build fills in the events between "We could be heroes" and "Consequences." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Action Report Report Number: A519658DBB645 Report date: 38.9.22 Prepared by: Capt Jackson Parth, XO Delta Company 142nd Spec Ops Batallion Location Grid: 79T33B Planet: Clovis III System: Clovis system (097,-51,06) Incident Category: Allied casualty Type: Blue-on-blue Criminal Investigation: No Narrative On 38.9.21 at 0530 local time, three ImpSpecOps Commandos from 5th platoon, Bravo squad (accompanied by 14 troops from the Clovian Military) led an assault on a suspected enemy safe house. *The remaining images have been light-enhanced to show detail* The location was abandoned, but there was evidence that it had been occupied within the last several hours. At 0547 the Clovis Tactical Operations Center denied the team's request for extraction, and ordered them to push further into the city in an attempt to locate any fleeing rebels. Team leader Cpl Connor “Crash” Thull filed a formal objection to this order, citing the fact that the majority of his troops were carrying light weapons, and that pushing further into the city would take them out of their mapped AO [Area of Operations]. His objection was overruled and the team was ordered to depart immediately. At 0550, Cpl Lucas “Birdman” Kirana contacted the Imperial Garrison on the southern edge of the city and negotiated the use of the Garrison's TIE Bombers for CAS [Close Air Support] if needed. This was done without the knowledge of Clovis TOC. Cpl Kirana and the team's RCO [Radio Comms Operator] subsequently discovered that the radios issued by the Clovian military could not communicate with the TIE units. A work-around was found by patching the signals through the target building's transmission array. Cpl Thull ordered Cpl Kirana to stay behind and operate the comms equipment. The RCO, a sniper/spotter team and a heavy gunner also stayed behind. At 0556 Cpl Thull, Cpl Walen “Romeo” Pax and the other 10 members of the Clovian Military departed, heading (galactic) north on Route Echo. Note: The navigation/datapads issued to the SpecOps team use standard Imperial units of measurement and are oriented to galactic north. They cannot be reporgrammed in the field. All units on Clovis (including garrisoned Imperial units) use the “Miner's” system of measurement, where 1 unit = .3 Imperial meters, and 1 claim = 1.6 Imperial Kilometers. Clovian units also navigate using planetary north, which is oriented 180 degrees from galactic north. At 0625 Cpl Thull's team made contact with a large enemy force and began taking casualties. A short time later, the sniper assigned to Cpl Kirana's team reported enemy foot mobiles and armed repulsorlift trucks approaching their location. From here, events unfolded quickly. See attached radio/comms transcription. Cpl Walen made repeated requests for CAS. As Cpl Kirana tried to direct the TIE Bomber onto the enemy forces, he made an error in translating the coordinates relayed by Cpl Walen to the TIE units. As a result of this error, a TIE bomber dropped ordinance on a position occupied by Cpl Thull's team. Cpl Kirana corrected his mistake and spent the next 15 minutes coordinating with his sniper team and the TIE Bombers to neutralize enemy forces in the area. He also called for a MedEvac to stage outside the area of fighting. At 0642, a convoy of ITTs dispatched by the Imperal Garrison reached Cpl Kirana's position. Cpl Kirana and the remaining Clovian soldier joined the convoy and headed north to Cpl Thull's last known position. They arrived shortly before the MedEvac bird. BDA [battle Damage Assessment] follows: Enemy- Killed in Action: 203, Wounded in Action: 30 Imperial- KIA: 2, WIA: 0 Host (Clovis)- KIA 8, WIA: 2 Civillain- KIA: 0, WIA: 12 Remarks The number of enemy KIA is a conservative estimate; the condition of the remains made it difficult to positively identify individual bodies. It appears 5 of the 8 friendlies were killed by ordinance dropped by the TIE bomber, and 3 were killed by enemy fire. Cpl Pax was seriously wounded by the TIE bomber ordinance and passed away during surgery at a local hospital. Cpl Thull was fatally wounded by the TIE bomber ordinance. Proximate cause of incident Cpl Kirana's error in translating Imperial units to Clovian units. Secondary causes Clovian TOC's order for the assault team to leave their AO and enter a hostile urban area, with minimal support and no prior planning. Recommended actions None. This officer does not believe that Cpl Kirana's error was due to negligence or dereliction of duty. No punishment is recommended. Personal notes: I arrived on Clovis at 1330 hours the day of the incident and traveled immediately to the Clovian detention center where Cpl Kirana was being held. Before I could speak, Cpl Kirana inquired about Cpl Pax. Although he showed no emotion when I told him of Cpl Pax's death, he initially refused to leave the jail cell, stating that he would like to remain in Clovian custody until trial and that the guards had told him he would likely be executed. When I told him that following me back to the ship was an order, not a suggestion, he offered his resignation, effective immediately, from the Imperial Military. I rejected his resignation, citing IMSLO [imperial Military Stop Loss Order]. At that point, he accompanied me back to the Avenger where he was treated for shock and exhaustion. I attempted to schedule an appointment with the ship's therapist, but learned that the therapist was killed in action last month and a replacement has not yet been found. Cpl Kirana was granted two weeks leave after which he will be reassigned, at his request, to a different unit.

    [MOC] Terminus-class Frigate

The Terminus-class Destroyer was a medium frigate used by the Galactic Empire during the Great War. It was used to support Harrower-class Dreadnoughts in large engagements or operate as a ship of the line in smaller skirmishes. The main bridge and shield generators. The engines as well as a pretty space background (yes, the starboard turbolasers are floating ) Unlike many other imperial ships of its time, the Terminus was designed mainly with speed in mind for flanking maneuvers, however it is still much better armed than any comparable republic ship (remind me again how on earth the empire lost?) The front mounted turbolasers (I call 'em muzzle-mounted whiskers ) A better shot of the wing-mounted turbolasers. The secondary bridge. Woosh! That's it! This is probably one of my favorite MOC's ever .

    [MOC] Imperial Attack Fleet

Here's my invasion fleet! Other than the star destroyer, all of these ships are MOCs. The ISD itself has some mods; the extra turbolasers towards the front, the proton beam weapon in the middle (the orange dot) and the bridge was changed from ISD II style to the venerable ISD I, aka Imperator. A close-up on one of the acclamtors. I like how it turned out overall; it may not be extremely accurate, but it's my first attempt at the ship. The Acclamator's engines. Again, not extremely accurate (they're supposed to be lower.) One of my personal favorites, an Immobilizer 418. If you can't tell, I just prettied up an old Midi-scale star destroyer Just a little picket ship I threw together. That's it. Look out rebels!
