  1. I got 71044 set for myself and it looks great. However I felt like train station was half finished. Yes, it is build for play-ability, but looked half finished. Since I was never going to play with it and didn't really like all the Disney logos and associations next best thing I could think of was to modify it. First thing the station was missing is, obviously, the back side. My idea was to use the actual train station which is located one of Disney parks, to build the missing back, but strip it from any Disney logos. Most of the build is quite easy since it replicates the portions of the existing set. However getting around to build those windows at the bottom floor was a bit tricky. Last thing original set was lacking is a platform. There's nothing fancy here as it is built on top of two baseplates. These can be separated though, as well as the train station. This makes entire model to be easy to move in three pieces. This is my first train station. So I would be glad to hear reasonable suggestions how could I improve it or its surroundings.
  2. I created LEGO Mickey according to the Disney cartoon "Sorcerer's Apprentice - Fantasia". It is the story of Apprentice Mickey labors with heavy buckets of water while the Sorcerer works his magic. Happy Mickey Mouse Year 2020 !! 祝大家鼠年快樂! [MOC] Micro "Sleeping Beauty" Castle

I designed a micro rendition of the "Sleeping Beauty" castle found in Disneyland California (398 pieces)! Let me know what you think! You can find me on Instagram @BenBuildsLego and anyone interested in the instructions can find them here and on Rebrickable.

    Toy Story Discussion

I thought since I haven't seen any threads on this, I'd start one. I wonder if I'm the only one who prefers the current Toy Story minifigures over the older ones.
  5. As seen here on EuroBricks, user @Carefree_Dude tried his hand at making the new Disney train have working pistons and getting rid of the hideous no-metal-axle wheels. I was very much impressed with the results, and took the pictures and reverse engineered them to have a similar 4-6-0 of my very own. (If the tender looks familiar, it hasn't changed at all from the last version.) However, as you may have noticed, the pistons are different, as they gave me a ton of trouble figuring them out, so I imported a design of my own previous use that I know works. The rear of the loco features a ladder to the tender-top, where the hatch to the water tank is found and also where the neatly stacked wood pile is located . These passenger cars were mostly inspired by set 10014 (Passenger wagon) but repainted red instead of green and with fancy part 30613 "Brick, Arch 3 x 6 x 5 Ornamented" on the end of the cars. I might be mistaken, but Flickr user The Shubes (Isn't he on Eurobricks too?) may have been the one to inspire these coaches with his own red versions of set 10014 as seen here. The end of my passenger train features this little four wheel caboose. It was designed after set 10015 (Caboose) with some features taken from set 7597 (Western Train Chase) This design is now finished in real life, after a record six days from designing on 10 / 20, ordering on 10 / 21, to being built on 10 / 26. That's really fast service by my standards!
  6. Hi! I have recreated Gusteau's kitchen with 2800 lego bricks and submitted it on lego ideas! What do you think of the project? 10 000 votes can make this an official set, and I would love if you support for it on lego ideas here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/32190c3d-9497-4b3d-b288-3bb83decc5b4

    Casey Jr. Circus Train

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages. Today, I bring you a project dear to my heart. Casey Jr from Disney's Dumbo! Casey Jr as depicted here is a 2-4-0 steam locomotive, depicted as such in the 1941 animated classic. The brave little locomotive pulls his train consisting of a passenger car for the clowns, Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo's elephant car, and the ringmaster's caboose. Set includes Dumbo, Mrs. Jumbo, minifigures of the ringmaster, two silly clowns, brick-built Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo figures, and a Timothy Q. Mouse minifigure, depicted here by my friend Artist Bridget Whiting. https://ideas.lego.com/profile/Artist%20Bridget%20Whiting/entries#/?query=&... Dumbo really soars with help from two transparent LEGO rods and can be flown around by attaching him alongside the elephant car, or by hand. Casey Jr. is powered by LEGO Powered Up and features animated side rods and valve gear. Thanks to @zephyr1934 and @Roadmonkeytj for help with the rods and valve gear! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8b153541-1956-42b7-bfec-a8f31755bc7e
  9. What would you like to see me do to my Casey Jr. project to encourage more supporters? What can I change, and where can I do better? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8b153541-1956-42b7-bfec-a8f31755bc7e
  10. Here is my video review on 71044 Disney Train and Station: THE GOOD: The station and the train look stunning. Some very very interesting techniques in the station build. (Love the windows and the nice chairs) The 2 passenger carriages are both excellent both in terms of building experience and how they look. Excellent Minifigures. I was impressed with Mickey and Minnie. Some nice replicas of actual items in the real stations. Printed piece for the box of Disney Castle lego set! THE NOT SO GOOD: OVERPRICED! (especially for NZ, $599 is bit too dramatic) I wish they find a way to cover the wirings connecting the battery box and motor. Some nasty stickers to apply. The red bricks for the exterior are slightly too red in my opinion compare to the photos of the actual Disney Station. The included tracks unable to provide a big enough loop for a satisfied train run given this train is a bit longer and bigger than the typical lego train set. Overall, this is one stunning display model and yes, it is overpriced. I think the fair price in NZ should be just under $500. If you buy batteries and extra tracks for better experience, it will be close to $700. Having a high demand exclusive minifigure like Goofy in this set is a very very "corporate" decision XD Now I kinda relieve they didn't include Pluto. Anyway, apart from the price complain, the other only major negative is the exposed wiring. Other than that, this set is actually fun too build. Yes, the final bag could feel like hitting a wall in the final stage of marathon. However, I like they brought back multiple instruction booklets. One for each major components, this allow simultaneous building experience with your family and friends. There is a sharp contrast in terms of build techniques difficulty between the train and the station, the station is definitely for more advanced builders. In the end, I did not regret my decision to buy this and it was fun building with my wife and I like the end result. I will only recommend this set if you really like this set or a Disney fan though as the price is really a bit of a deal break if you are just looking for casual fun!

    REVIEW: 21317 Steamboat Willie

Finally built my steamboat willie and here is my review: THE GOOD: Interesting build and nice looking steamboat. Great metallic print on the minifigures. Nice novelty to have a mickey logo stand. THE NOT SO GOOD: My mickey mouse has a slight mis-print on the nose =( Totally recommend this to everyone even you are not a Mickey Mouse fans. I know there are feedback that you going to get similar minifigures in Disney Series 2 but this version has far superior print. Also the build experience for the steam boat is actually pretty cool. Love it!

  13. My modded minifigures from the Disney 2 CMF series, plus some minifigures that benefited from parts from the series and a few thematically related minifigures: My intention was to create generic fantasy and horror/fantasy minifigures, not to re-imagine characters from Disney or any other franchise. Arguably, the houri is just a yellow version of Jasmine, but I can live with that ?. Questions, comments, consternation?

[MOC] Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin [GBC]

When I saw the Scrooge McDuck mini-fig in the Disney CMF2 I knew what I had to build as my next GBC module! I present to you Scrooge McDucks Money Bin, which is loosely based on the vault seen in the Ducktales cartoon. It's built primarily with white and bright green brick, I used flame orange for the $ on the front of the building. The build was a little bit different then most GBC builds. Usually in GBC you build the lift mechanism first, but this time I built the structure first. I then built the conveyor and fitted in in the back. The last part of the build was getting the recirculation feature working inside the "chute" the balls fall through. I hope you enjoy the build !
  15. Here is my review on 10770 Buzz & Woody's Carnival Mania! THE GOOD: Minifigures selection. Target shooting getting the classic canon. Surprise detailed builds on each attraction. Fun R/C cars design. THE NOT SO GOOD: Buzz Lightyear face print. Wish it is $10 cheaper. Recent Juniors line really gone the extra mile. I'm surprised with some of the details and build techniques in this one. Great to see the classic canon returning. Love the wheels for the remote control cars. And you also get most of the main characters in this set! I totally recommend this to any toy story fans, good minifigures selection and interesting builds.
  16. Here is my video review on 10769 Toy Story 4 RV Vacation. THE GOOD: Surprise use of techniques and details for the RV considering this is a Juniors set. Great selection of minifigures & characters. New mold for Forky. THE NOT SO GOOD: Price is a bit too high. The facade build is a bit boring and no particular play features for the target age-group. Overall, it's a decent Juniors set with some unexpected details mixed with a good selection of minifigures/characters. Although it's a bit pricey but I recommend you get this set if you like Forky and missed the last wave of toy story sets a few years back. Do wait for discount if possible.
  17. Hello everyone! I am new to eurobricks, however I have been a AFOL for many years now. I wanted to post my new MOC of The Incredibles Glory Days. The Incredibles may be my favorite movies and something about the flashback scenes hold a special place for me. I spent hours pulling as many details as I could from the movie to recreate my MOC as accurately as possible. I give you Lego The Incredibles Glory Days! Custom Minifigures: Movie Comparison: I have also posted to Lego Ideas if you would like to support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/157150

  22. To all who come to this happy thread, welcome! As you may know, I'm a huge Disney fan, so after the popularity of the Purist Superhero Figs thread, I figured it would be great to have a similar thread dedicated to creating purist Disney minifigs! Since it will probably be a while until we get another series of Disney CMFs (if we get one at all!) it's up to us to fill up the roster of minifigs based on Disney movies. Anything from TV shows, short films, animated features, and live-action films is welcome here! Flesh skin-toned figs are preferred since they look more accurate and fit in with the CMFs (unless the character has a different skin color in the source material of course), but yellow figs are accepted as well. Allow me to start by sharing some of my creations. First off, here is a pure Joy from Inside Out. I made her yellow since she always has that golden glow. The Cyborg hair actually suits her pretty well. By the way, if you want an official Joy minifig as well as the other emotions, please support my Inside Out Ideas project! Pure Joy by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Next we have the Sultan and his trusted advisor Jafar along with Jago from Aladdin. The sultan's turban doesn't fit on his head completely due to the beard. He could use a cape, but sadly there are no tan capes. I'm pretty happy with Jafar, even though his skin is not the right tone. Sultan and Jafar by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Lilo & Stitch is probably the most under-represented property in Lego, so here are some figs to fix that: Lilo herself, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles. Lilo looks a little... boyish, but that's just because the head and hair that are most accurate for her come from male minifigs. Lilo, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Also, this isn't mine, but somebody made a Beast using the minidoll head: So what combos can you come up with to make our Lego Disney dreams come true? Please share your creations along with a little description!

  24. This is one of my entries for the Incredibles contest on Lego Ideas. It is meant to take place after the events of Incredibles 2. After moving back to the suburbs, the Incredibles invited their friends over for a BBQ to celebrate Dash's birthday! Dash is playing with his new toys and accidentally splashes Violet with water as he runs over the pool, but she's able to deflect it using her shield powers. Meanwhile, Elastigirl is putting the finishing touches on the decorations as she hangs up a banner by herself by stretching her arms. Frozone has just joined the party and is also using his powers to help decorate by turning the Incredibles' fountain into an ice sculpture. Mr. Incredible is by the grill holding a huge platter of food with his super strength. Jack-Jack is helping him grill the meat with his fire powers. Edna is throwing away an old cape that she found in Bob's closet while a racoon is stealing some trash. Just as they're about to eat, the party is crashed by Bomb Voyage and the Underminer, the two super villains that have escaped the Incredibles in the past! Bomb Voyage is about to literally blow up the Incredibles' inbox with a mail bomb while the Underminer emerges in a smaller version of his Tunneler which causes a pizza delivery truck to crash into a fire hydrant. Presents, cake, and fighting bad guys? Best birthday ever! I tried to include as many details as possible in this scene, including a few of the easter eggs that you see in all the Pixar movies, such as the pizza planet truck, A113, the famous Luxo ball and lamp, and a character voiced by John Ratzenberger. Can you spot them all? Please also check out my improved purist Bomb Voyage and Frozone minifigs here. Thanks for looking and have an incredible day!

    [MOC] Tigger from Winnie-the-Pooh

Here's a fun build I put together live on Twitch last night, Tigger from Winnie-the-Pooh! Built to celebrate the release of Christopher Robin this week! Hope you all like him!
