  3. So, there has been some Disney news lately, so I thought it would be time to start a general Disney discussion thread. The biggest news for me is that there is a new DuckTales series coming in 2017! Official announcement: http://blogs.disney.com/oh-my-disney/2015/02/25/this-is-not-a-drill-were-getting-new-ducktales-in-2017/ DuckTales was my favorite show as a kid, so this is great news for me! I'm glad that a whole new generation of kids will be able to enjoy this awesome show. But at the same time, I'm worried how they will update it. Disney hardly produces any traditional animation for their TV shows anymore, so there is a good chance that it will be CGI like Mickey's Clubhouse and some of their other shows, or even worse, Flash animation like 7D *shudder*. If they put enough effort into it, I think it could actually work in CG. For example, I quite liked Scrooge's rendition in Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, but of course traditional animation is always preferred. Also, I really hope they don't change the theme song. It's one of the best and catchiest theme songs ever and I feel that any deviation would ruin it. With this and the live action Chip'n'Dale: Rescue Rangers movie next year, it seems that the Disney Afternoon is making a comeback. What other shows would you like to see return? I'm hoping for Darkwing Duck next (which I'm surprised they haven't brought back yet considering the superhero craze right now). Oh, and we got a trailer for Frozen Fever yesterday. I'm not interested in Cinderella (I don't see the point in making live action versions of Disney cartoons), but I wouldn't mind seeing this short film.

  6. To all who come to this happy thread, welcome! As you may know, I'm a huge Disney fan, so after the popularity of the Purist Superhero Figs thread, I figured it would be great to have a similar thread dedicated to creating purist Disney minifigs! Since it will probably be a while until we get another series of Disney CMFs (if we get one at all!) it's up to us to fill up the roster of minifigs based on Disney movies. Anything from TV shows, short films, animated features, and live-action films is welcome here! Flesh skin-toned figs are preferred since they look more accurate and fit in with the CMFs (unless the character has a different skin color in the source material of course), but yellow figs are accepted as well. Allow me to start by sharing some of my creations. First off, here is a pure Joy from Inside Out. I made her yellow since she always has that golden glow. The Cyborg hair actually suits her pretty well. By the way, if you want an official Joy minifig as well as the other emotions, please support my Inside Out Ideas project! Pure Joy by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Next we have the Sultan and his trusted advisor Jafar along with Jago from Aladdin. The sultan's turban doesn't fit on his head completely due to the beard. He could use a cape, but sadly there are no tan capes. I'm pretty happy with Jafar, even though his skin is not the right tone. Sultan and Jafar by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Lilo & Stitch is probably the most under-represented property in Lego, so here are some figs to fix that: Lilo herself, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles. Lilo looks a little... boyish, but that's just because the head and hair that are most accurate for her come from male minifigs. Lilo, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Also, this isn't mine, but somebody made a Beast using the minidoll head: So what combos can you come up with to make our Lego Disney dreams come true? Please share your creations along with a little description!

  8. This is one of my entries for the Incredibles contest on Lego Ideas. It is meant to take place after the events of Incredibles 2. After moving back to the suburbs, the Incredibles invited their friends over for a BBQ to celebrate Dash's birthday! Dash is playing with his new toys and accidentally splashes Violet with water as he runs over the pool, but she's able to deflect it using her shield powers. Meanwhile, Elastigirl is putting the finishing touches on the decorations as she hangs up a banner by herself by stretching her arms. Frozone has just joined the party and is also using his powers to help decorate by turning the Incredibles' fountain into an ice sculpture. Mr. Incredible is by the grill holding a huge platter of food with his super strength. Jack-Jack is helping him grill the meat with his fire powers. Edna is throwing away an old cape that she found in Bob's closet while a racoon is stealing some trash. Just as they're about to eat, the party is crashed by Bomb Voyage and the Underminer, the two super villains that have escaped the Incredibles in the past! Bomb Voyage is about to literally blow up the Incredibles' inbox with a mail bomb while the Underminer emerges in a smaller version of his Tunneler which causes a pizza delivery truck to crash into a fire hydrant. Presents, cake, and fighting bad guys? Best birthday ever! I tried to include as many details as possible in this scene, including a few of the easter eggs that you see in all the Pixar movies, such as the pizza planet truck, A113, the famous Luxo ball and lamp, and a character voiced by John Ratzenberger. Can you spot them all? Please also check out my improved purist Bomb Voyage and Frozone minifigs here. Thanks for looking and have an incredible day!

  10. Hello everybody, a long time ago I was lucky enough to have my Millennium Falcon kindly blogged on these pages... Today I would like to present you my latest little model, a Mini Scale version of Sleeping Beauty Castle from Disneyland Paris. If you enjoy this build, you can find more pictures on my MOC-page. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/433830 I am giving a shot on Lego(R) Ideas, so, if you like it, please support it: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/156528 Many thanks for watching, keep building, keep dreaming!
  11. Alright, where should I start? I've been leaving this place for quite a time, so I lost track with some of the old posts. But anyway, I think it might rather be simpler to put all things together in one thread. So I choose to slowly restart in this post from now on. Thanks to the help with a new local print provider, the newer redesigns has a better chance to improve (my decal skill is still awful ). As a new start, I begin with the original franchise with the minidoll lineup Friends, which just began a series of reboot design in this year. 12. Hello everyone! I am new to eurobricks, however I have been a AFOL for many years now. I wanted to post my new MOC of The Incredibles Glory Days. The Incredibles may be my favorite movies and something about the flashback scenes hold a special place for me. I spent hours pulling as many details as I could from the movie to recreate my MOC as accurately as possible. I give you Lego The Incredibles Glory Days! Custom Minifigures: Movie Comparison: I have also posted to Lego Ideas if you would like to support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/157150

  14. Hey Eurobricks! Here is my latest build based on the Disney Frozen movie we picked Arendelle Castle for my 2 daughters to enjoy. The castle is surrounded by water and a massive 4 foot tall mountain in a 7x8 baseplate layout. There are 5 waterfalls that light up in addition to the main castle building. Getting ready for Brickworld Chicago in June. Hope you enjoy! 16. Hi All, This build was a collaboration with my wife that we did for the Sydney Brick Show. The precinct includes All Star Arena, tennis courts, a playground, a church, park and shops. The arena features Disney on Ice with four swap out stage sets. I will be posting more pictures on flickr over the next week or two showing different areas of the build. If you are interested head over to my flickr stream at https://www.flickr.com/photos/brickknight/
  17. My first attempt at a Beaker Muppet MOC. I was inspired by the Henson Retrospectacle concert in New Zealand a few weeks ago, and by trying to use the new balloon piece as a Muppet nose. Now I know it works the next step is to make the head more cylindrical, shape the body and articulate the arms. Stay tuned...
  18. Hi-ho everyone, It's my very first time to share any of my projects on the forums. I enjoy building projects based on the many works of Jim Henson, like the Muppets. He was a really big creative influence on me growing up. In many ways, I think Jim's creativity is a really great fit for LEGO. They both tickle the imagination. I hope you'll check out my work. If you like any of my projects, please consider supporting me on LEGO Ideas. Thank you so much!

  22. Hi all, Here is my LEGO version of Buzz Lightyear. About a year ago I noticed there weren't too many large-scale, detailed versions of the figure online. So I started putting bricks together, the old-fashioned way, no LDD etc. I started from the feet and legs up, wanting to use the 8x4x6 cone halves as shins. (Now that they're available in white, thanks to the Saturn V). The 8x4x6 cone halves really set the scale, since they provided the best shape for the legs out of every solution that I tried. Creating the round shape of the chest took quite a lot of work, but I'm pretty happy about the way it looks now. Things worked pretty smoothly, all the way up until the head. Boy, it's mighty tricky to create a nice-looking face out of bricks in that scale. So, after some attempts I gave into the grand compromise - to sacrifice the proportions and use the smaller-scale head and helmet from the set 7592. Perhaps the lack of Buzz Lightyear builds is largely due to the difficulty of creating a nice face to scale. I still haven't given up on the brick-built head. Maybe. What are your thoughts on my effort? You can see more and better pictures on my LEGO Ideas entry. If you think my Buzz has something good goin' on, I would also appreciate your support on the entry :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a514663e-9d97-4421-a89e-70278749244f
  23. Piloted by RX-24, the Starspeeder 3000 offered direct service to the forest moon of Endor for 23 years from its original spaceport location in Disneyland. While the RX-series of droids were known for unstable personalities, the Endor-bound shuttles did *occasionally* reach their proper destination. Star Tours operated as one of the galaxy's premier travel agencies. See more images on Flickr ----- An addition to my growing collection of Disneyland ride vehicles, the Starspeeder 3000 was an obvious next model to tackle. Star Tours opened in January 1987, allowing visitors to fly into the Star Wars universe themselves for the first time. The ship's pilot Rex - voiced by Paul Reubens - ends up missing Endor and instead diving into the trench run to destroy the Death Star. The original Star Tours closed in 2010, transforming into a new version of the ride "Star Tours: The Adventures Continue." This Starspeeder model - in the original Star Tours livery - features working doors.
  24. Hi there everyone! This is my first real MOC post that I've put a lot of work into so please be kind I decided to create what a potential second line up could look like for another Disney CMF Series. I have a rational for every character I chose and if you've got any questions feel free to ask me below or PM me. All of the figures and pictures can be on my flickr linked below, and if you want to swing by there and leave a favourite or follow me to see my further updates it'd be much appreciated A few things to note. First off the figures are all hand drawn and I am working towards creating a better way to merge the hand drawing and digital aspects of the figures. If you recall the packaging for the first CMF was Blue and the colour I have chosen here is Yellow this is of course to reflect how the first non-licensed CMF was Yellow and the second Blue (Bit of Irony I guess). I have also included characters I felt were left out or needed to complete the figures that came in the 1st wave. For example the inclusion of Woody, Lilo, and Goofy. I have also tried to keep about the same amount of villains as there were in the original and plan to do so in future ones as well (If you guys like them of course ). Oh one last thing to note I think is that this is almost identical to the wishlist I created over a year ago so if there is someone you'd like to see me do I'll try to squeeze them into a future line (Only if they fit my criteria though). Also forgot to say that @Robert8 and his creations was a huge inspiration to do this, so thanks! So with out further ado.... Series 2 Bag Mockup: Checklist Mockup: Series 3 Bag Mockup: Checklist Mockup: The Figures are in the spoiler tag:
