  1. Hello guys, I have finished now the Imperial Shuttle I started already a while ago: Now all of the functions actually work, and the details of the ship have been finished so that everything should look as smooth as possible. The work was pretty hard balance between accurate looks, working functions and durability, and I am now quite happy with the result. ^^ Here is a video showing the functions that include: - 2 x lasercannons - 2 x missiles - Backcannon All of the cannons are launched by pressing different buttons at the bottom of the ship. The mechanisms behind this are rather complicated and they are based on the use of fishing wire that delivers the force to the right place. - Wings automatically turn the landing gear open and close. Also, the white covering plates of the landing gear open and close automatically. The wingcannons also turn up and down automatically, though on the video they are a little jammed. - Boarding ramp and an opening and accessible hatch. - Removable walls, wall and cockpit canopy. - Cockpit seats 4 minifigures, the interior has 2 seats, but can accomodate a platoon of up to 8+ minifigures or even more, if you don't care about comfort. - Samppu
  2. Hey guys. Today I've started work on my Darth Vader transformation MOC. So far I've got the operation table done. I should have an update tomorrow. I'm working on the floor, having some trouble. I'm not sure how I'm going to do those lights on the floor in that angle. Any tips and/or criticism are welcome. Peace, -JD

    Star Wars Cloud City 2017/18?

The Cloud City playset from Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Backs…https://ideas.lego.com/projects/163944 I wanted to design a fun and playable set which would include the ionic scenes from the Empire Strikes Back film. The aim was to create a set that resembles the shape of the cloud city and offers a playable platform like the Death Star play set. I’m a keen Star Wars fan and as Cloud City hasn’t seen a new set since 2003 I thought I would have a go. I hope you enjoy and welcome your creative input into my project. Thanks for your vote…

  6. Hello dear EB members, it really has been too long since I posted anything from my hands, but that only means I am lazy posting - not building. There are several creations I would like to publish ASAP, so here is the first one: The Dark Side of the Force never rests, so must not Lord Vader himself. Although he is strong with the Force, he is pretty tired after full 6 days of pedalling on two of our LUG's events in October and start of December. I give you The Dark Side Of Exercise. I got the idea a long time ago and got extra inspired by Jason Alleman a.k.a. JK Brickworks and his moving masterpieces - especially the Sizifus. After thinking about it for too long, I finally bought the 75111 Darth Vader set, which had to be modified quite a lot on the inside - outside remains the same. All the skeleton with bionicle ball joint parts was replaced by technic axles and u-joints in order to get a freely movable body. A free rotation of hips, shoulders and waist was also necessary. Free movement of ankles anf wrists is provided with bar pieces (I admit I cut 4L bars into 2L bars - I never thought I was capable of such horid acts ) Pedalling torture device was a bit more of a challenge. The main problem was getting all the necessary motion from rather spacious pedestal to a slim orbitrek body. I am pretty happy with the outcome, even though the gearing in the pedestal is a mess. The main goal was to get the body in its highest position twice in one revolution of the pedals. The gear ratio between those two is therefore 2:1 and they have to be synchronised so that the body is at its highest when the pedals are horizontal. The rest of the body motion is provided by linkages amongst freely movable parts of the body and the orbitrek. Another part run by the same motor is the big wheel, which is propelled by a small wheel inside the orbitrek body. This wheel is geared up a lot, so it turns fast enough. Running this MX bike wheel by contact proved to be most demanding for the whole system and caused most friction and wear of the parts and motor. A LEGO chain is not the best way to drive anything for a long time as well. You must guess it was a lot of fun to repair after it broke a couple of times during the exhibition. To conclude this presentation I give you another photo in Ludicrous Speed mode and of course a short video of swinging this man's booty from side to side Thank you for your attention and "May the Force be wih you!!!" Best regards and a Happy New Year, Miha You can check out bigger photos here: http://bricksafe.com/pages/MajklSpajkl/the-dark-side-of-exercise

    [MOC] The Imperial March

Hi guys, so I was somewhat inspired by a recent job where I got to work at the legendary Abbey Road studios! I decided to make my own version of the iconic Beatles album cover using a mix of the new Beatles mini figs (for the yellow submarine) and some of my favourite imperials. DSC_2808 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I call this build 'The Imperial March' DSC_2790 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr 2016-12-19_02-43-14 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I tried to get some of the background detail into this build but felt the car would be the wrong scale so opted to leave it out. [MOC] I Am Your Father...

Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. IMG_20161203_151458 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr This build sits on a 12x14 base. I have tried to recreate the weather vane as faithfully to the film. IMG_20161203_135638 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The Luke mini fig is a custom, which I dont often like using, however the printing work on this figure is outstanding and looks perfect. IMG_20161208_225410 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I am really happy with the technique to make the bridge and think it works really well. IMG_20161207_145604 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Originally I wasn't going to add a backdrop but I think with just the sense of the walls behind the action it helps set the scene even more. IMG_20161204_194619 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway I am really happy with how this has turned out, it was a pretty quick build with just bits and pieces I had lying around! As always though I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions and may the force be with you! IMG_20161204_151421 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr
  9. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' DSC_2328 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. 2016-11-21_02-01-55 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! Episode 1 - teaser by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway, there isnt much to this post as there is really only one angle this MOC works! Hope you enjoy and any feedback, comments and advice welcome. Thanks
  10. Hi there guys, I havent posted in a while but thats not because I haven't been building, I have just been away with work! I have a couple of builds to share with you starting with this... It is my recreation of the final scenes from Revenge of the Sith. As with all my MOCs I have kept this on a 16x16 base. Here it is in comparison to the actual scene from the film... Quite a fun build this, especially making the Death Star look like it is in the early stages of construction. And I loved the fact I could use the new style Vader and Tarkin (From A-Wing vs Tie Advanced set) as I think they are two really good looking mini figs. I took the figures off for these shots to show the detail on the panelling. Finally, It is impossible to resist a selfie! As always I hope you enjoy and any feedback would be greatly appreciated! More builds on the way!
  11. Hi guys, I have just finished another micro landscape in time for the Battlefront Death Star DLC. I wanted to do something different from some of the other trench run mocs I have seen and so I chose the moment Han comes to Luke's rescue and shoots down one of the tie fighters. I really like the drama in this scene and Im really happy with the way it has turned out. The inspiration for Luke's Xwing and Vader's tie came from a post by 'BEAVeR' (http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84301) however I really wanted to get R2 in this scene and so instead of a 1x2 white tile for the nose I went for a 1x1 and added a 1x1 blue stud to represent R2 behind the cockpit. Thanks goes to 'PRAITER YED' for the idea of using knifes as the wings cannons - I think they look really effective. Originally I used BEAVeR's design for Vaders Tie but it would've meant having to paint the shields black, which I wanted to avoid and also I didn't think it looked menacing enough so I simply turned the Tie fighters wings on their side. I think Vader's Tie has a real presence in this piece now and looks like the dangerous ship that it is! Finally for the Tie's cockpits I used an Arkenstone piece from The Hobbit sets, which almost looks as though it was specially designed for micro ties! I am really happy with this MOC and would love to get your opinions and as always any advice going forward for future MOCs! (Also would anyone be interested in seeing the design process? I have some pictures of various stages of the builds that people might find interesting?)

    [MOC] Star Wars Bobbleheads

This is a project I've been working on from time to time during the summer. A bobblehead is a toy figure with an oversized head that is connected to the body with a spring. When you lightly tap on its head it wobbles (or bobbles) back and forth for a while. I was thinking about how a bobblehead could be made by LEGO bricks, and how the wobbling effect could be built. There is no real LEGO spring that can be used for this purpose, so I had to think of something else to use. After some trial and error I found a simple technic using an LEGO antenna piece which creates a wobbling effect that works really well. The video below shows how it works in reality. I created an Ideas project of it as well, so please have a look and I would appreciate if you gave it your support. I decided to recreate six characters from the original Star Wars movie into LEGO bobbleheads - Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. The head can also be turned in all directions like in the image below. Hope you enjoy it!
  13. This listing is for a custom LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) model I have designed: "Darth Vader's TIE Advanced x1" Being an iconic Imperial ship from "A New Hope" and the Season 2 trailer of "Star Wars Rebels," this ship has a place in the hearts of all die-hard Vader fans. LEGO has released many renditions of this model. Specific set numbers include 4484, 7150/7152, 7262, 8017, 10131, and 10175. While all of those renditions are great, however, my design surpasses all of them in its detailing and beauty. Although the color scheme is based on the colors depicted in LEGO's #8017 rendition, the model is based closest to #75082. The cockpit interior has been heavily modified. It's blacker then LEGO's versions, and the controls are also modified as well. The rear design of the cockpit makes this model it's own. Size-wise, it's in perfect proportion to the cockpit, and it's very securely fastened to the cockpit with a combination of pins and plates. The wings are also securely fastened to the cockpit, with the same combination as the rear, along with axle pipes. Definitely the best moc by far. This ship makes the perfect addition to your Imperial fleet collection. Here are some more pictures of the ship taken from different views.
  14. Hello Eurobrickers! Today I would like to show you my real 3D Lego mosaic with Darth Vader and Stormtrooper. I`m not Star Wars fan, but I`ve built something like this. I had before 3D Lego mosaic (mosaic 1, mosaic 2) with a stand to rotate my mosaics, but the stand I demolished

    [MOC] Father knows best!

"The force is with you, young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet. You have only begun to discover your power. Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy." There, some heavy breathing from Lord Vader for intro I'm more of a lurker in this parts of the forum (mostly I built with Technic) but since my pocket sponsored a couple of SW sets in the past few months, my fingers got kinda itchy and I just had to build something SW-themed. As you can see I started small, but it was a lot of fun - this is the first time I tried to put together some greebling of my own and I really like this SNOT stuff too At first it all started as just a minifig treadmill, but then I decided to coat it with a bit of a parody on the Death Star Final duel scene/set, which, as you can see, donated most of the parts. Of course, me being a Technic guy, I couldn't resist using some Technic parts - the stickers on the treadmill are from set 42032 :-) And that energy glow behing the column is not PS magic, I actually managed to get the PF LEDs back there. A few more photos to break my SW ice... Thanks in advance for you comments, praise, rants and gossip. Best regards, Miha
  16. These two preceding photos are to show off my latest MOC (or rather, re-doing of an existing Lego product), what I am calling Darth Vader's Transformation Remix. It's my attempt to somehow improve on the original set that was released way back in 2005. Now, the original set (# 7251) included a few key features: Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker, a brick-built FX-9 Surgical Assistant Droid and the operation table. But, seeing as quite a few people out there have recreated this particular scene with much more detail than was included with the set (i.e., background walls, redone operating table, etc), it seemed a bit lacking. So, I made an attempt to expand on the set by adding a few background wall panels, along with various other bricks that serve as "readouts" outlining Vader's condition. Also, while the colors of the bricks used for the original 7251 were already subdued and grave, I wanted to give the remixed version a more doleful and foreboding color scheme. Hence the use of silver & titanium metallics, med. stone grays and blacks, with some other color bricks thrown in to balance out the darker colors. Another thing is that there are only two wire and cable-like structures near the top of the second panel from the left; this I did in an attempt to make it seem as if the "room" was hastily put together, and the builders placed all of the wires and power cables in safe enough areas except for those two. As a matter of fact, the entire top half of panel two is supposed to represent a shoddily built part of the medical apparatus. Overall, this build is inspired by the Yoda Chronicles Holocron Chamber promotional set. LXF file
  17. The super-laser is installed, the bar has been equipped, party decorations hung up, the PA is ready and all invitations have been sent – the dark side really knows how to party! While the emperor and Darth Vader raise a toast on this new jewel of interstellar destruction, a Stormtrooper discovers the wonders of Karaoke! The Inquisitor rules the catering department. Daft Tron on the turntables, Darth Lavaria has a chat with an imperial officer. Always the same story: he drinks too much, takes over the turntables and starts playing 70s disco… In the meanwhile, Darth Vader realizes that mixing Saurian Brandy with Alderaan-Whiskey (rare!) wasn’t a good idea. Of course he will blame the music. And he will clearly remember the usefulness of this duct at some later point… More pictures and (a review of the set) on my blog! I hope you enjoy the party just as I do

Rogue One -- Leaked Images of New Sets

Found images of the new Rogue One sets coming out later this year. Super excited. Really excited for the Imperial Hover Tank, the new AT-ST (FINALLY!!!!), and the TIE Striker.
  19. This weapon is another one of my favorites from the original trilogy and Star Wars: Battlefront. I was very disappointed, though, with the design included in both 75138 and 75098. It doesn't do the original cannon justice at all. Given that, I decided to try my hand at creating one, and I think it turned out really well. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/428616 Please let me know what you think in the comments. God bless.

[MOC] [LDD] I Am Your Father

The Empire Strikes Back's Duel on Cloud City between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader is one of the most iconic and significant scene in the Star Wars saga and in film history as well. Also emotionally this is the most dramatic turning point or climax in the whole story. In that case this epic moment deserves a Lego set. Lego already released the 10123 Cloud City set in 2003 roughly with all the Bespin scenes. Now we're focusing on the lower levels throughout the chamber, where Vader revealed the truth to Luke. The project based on the original location that we see in the movie and also uses the behind the scene photos as reference for the sizes, shapes, colors as accurately as possible. What do you think about it? Is it really a must have scene? If you like the idea please support here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/139111 Also if you want this to become a real set share it with your friends! Thank you! Cheers!

  22. When I first heard that the LEGO company was releasing a rendition of the vehicle back in January 2015, I had high hopes that their set would be faithful to its inspiration. Sadly, that wasn't the case, and their rendition was definitely my least favorite of that wave. I've been wanting to make this vehicle for some time. After finding another great MOC from another LEGO Designer, my design finally came together. If you wish to see his project, which is exceptional, you can click here. The design features many of the features seen in the original ship, namely a rotatable top cannon, a central canopy with space for 2 drivers and a commanding officer, 6 side areas for prisoners or deploying troops, and 2 adjustable front guns. Along with a very sturdy frame design, this is the perfect rendition of the fan-favorite Imperial vehicle. Here are some pictures of the design from different viewing points. Let me know in the comments what you think of this design, and be sure to tell the original designer how nice his MOC is as well, as his is the inspiration for this design. You can also go to MOCpages & to see this vessel, if you want.

    Lego Donald Trump Parody

Hello, Here's my last Funny Video in Lego. It's about Mr Donald Trump. Enjoy!
