  1. So, quick question: which canisters from all of LEGO's constraction history (from Throwbots/Slizers to Roboriders to BIONICLE to Hero Factory to any I'm forgetting right now) were the best and the worst in your opinion? Myself, I can't say much before the BIONICLE era, but I can definitely point what I believe was the worst from then on: the Toa Mahri canisters. Once they were open, they were practically unusabe as storage, which defeats the very purpose of a canister, and the armature/sub configuration made very little sense as a set (where was the floor?) or in-story. The best, on the other hand, it's hard to tell, but I'd probably choose the Toa Mata's original canisters. They were simple but functional, the rotating cover revealing the different Toa and iconic marketing scenes made for great advertisement, and they could easily incorporate not only one but two in-story elements: the Toa Canisters, obviously, but also the Suva with the lid - which also made an effective subtle collecting nudge to complete it with more masks and Toa heads.
  2. In order to prevent further derailing of the BIONICLE thread, I've created this. You can discuss ways/theories to improve CCBS and/or provide pictures of said ways in here Have fun everyone!
  3. Something I'd been wanting to make for a long time - a Chamberlain Skeksis from The Dark Crystal MOC (and yes, all genuine LEGO parts!) More at my flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/134884717@N03/
  4. I am very sad that there are no constraction sets and lines anymore. So I developed an concept for a science fiction based constraction line. The main characters are robots with A.I. which are built on an big space station and then launched in canisters on a planet to explore it. There also would exist other robots, like mining robots, which only have a primitiv A.I. and they would be produced in mass, while the main robots would be built idividual and special with an advanced A.I. The villains could be some evil robots or alien cyborgs(I think a similar design like the Phantoka Makuta would be cool) or something like that, while the protagonists would learn and develop their own personality. I think there is still hope for constraction. When we constraction fans are able to create a theme, an idea, which is interesting, lego could bring constraction back. I know that no theme will ever be as great as bionicle but i really like constraction and maybe a new line could bring it back. I want to know your thoughts on this concept and what you would add, change or rmove in the concept.
  5. Hello there! Today I would like to share with you a MOC that is nearly 2 years old. I just never got around to taking and posting good pictures of it until now. It's a constraction figure scale rendition of the scene in Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi chases General Grievous through the mines of Utapau which won second place in the constraction category at Star Wars Days 2018 and is part of what earned me the Miss Congeniality Award at Bricks LA 2019. Grievous' Wheelbike really rolls, has a working headlight and rotating cannon, and can transform into its walker mode. Boga is fully posable as well.
  6. Hello, I've been browsing this forum for a while now and thought that this would be a fun idea. Make a list of star wars characters you would like to have a buildable figure for or if they had one, be remade. It can range from to most to least likely and you have the option to explain why you want the character. I'll start it off Who I want Rex Bly Fox Fives Doom The Bad Batch Delta Squad Gree Gregor Wolffe TCW Anakin Skywalker Rebels Ahsoka Sabine Wren (any version of her really) Ursa Wren Rebels Gar Saxon Pre Vizsla Bacara Bo katan Tank Troopers Plo Koon AT AT Pilot Inferno Squad Trooper Princess Leia (Bounty Hunter Disguise) C-3PO Tam Posla Rebel Soldier Kanan (Season 1) Asajj Ventress (Dark Disciple) Quinlan Vos Cad Bane Jedi Temple Guards Savage Opress (with Axe) Droideka MagnaGuard Dengar Who I want Remade Obi-wan Kenobi Kylo Ren Luke Skywalker Commander Cody So have fun everyone.
  7. A wandering Toa, haunted by the deaths of his fallen comrades... more photos A MOC that I've had sitting around for about a year now. I didn't put it up since I have much much better MOCs sitting around. I figured if I didn't post it now then I'd never get around to it. Its veeeeeeeeery MOCpages but that's the style I was doing when I built it so whatever lol.

    [MOC] Pinhead and Armstrong

Pinhead, the brains of the group, cares little for his simpleminded partner Armstrong's constant rambling about rabbits... More photos Two MOCs who weren't originally meant for each other. Armstrong was originally meant for a group build and Pinhead was originally named Plague Mech: Fire Ant.
  9. The smallest of Team Artillerix, designed for reconnaissance missions. The horn packs a powerful punch, and can easily flip mechs much larger than itself. Imgur Album Built as part of Jayfa's plague mech contest on Instagram. It's not a very impressive MOC, but It was fun to build. I took inspiration from the Japanese Rhinoceros beetle (and more than a little inspiration from the Pokemon Heracross).

    [MOC] Zeren

Armed with a sawed-off shotgun and a powerful sniper rifle, this intergalactic bounty hunter is prepared for any threat. Imgur album A MOC I've had since early 2010, finally looking like he belongs in 2018. I really doubled down on the sci-fi soldier influences for this new version, pulling from Samus, Doomguy, Master Chief, and the Titan Spectre armor from Destiny. Special thanks to L.A. Miranda, Constraction Deva, and Djokson for helping to bring this version to life. Their input and techniques went the longest way for this new version, and I couldn't be more grateful.

    [MOC] Aranya

I present to you this little spider monster, simply named Aranya. It was an absolute nightmare to build but the end results were worth it. I think it might be my best MOC to date. Something thats a bit unusual is its front claw/pincers. The whenua claws are dented ever so slightly, and as a result, the pincers click together and stay closed at any angle. You can check it out on Flickr or take a look at the Imgur album for more photos if you like what you see.

    (MOC) Skull Knight

Sharing my recently build skull knight ^^ Apart from building mechs i love fusing both system and herofactory/bionicle parts in figure building! [MOC] Palpy

It's Palpy! "I must be Frank, Your Majesty." For those who saw my Vader topic, this is where the rest of the two Kylo Rens went... "Your hat has made you powerful." The lightning is done using LightStax - that's the extension cable and powebox at the bottom of the frame. "Give in to your hunger!" Everything besides the Lightstax system is genuine Lego. Even the string. "Powder! Unleeeemited Pooooowderrr!" *autistic screeching* Thanks for watching.
  14. Now I know that constraction is a thing that many people don't like, but where is it going to be in the future? The original Bionicle line did really well, and there seemed to be quite a following. Then Hero Factory came along and got less attention, but still did pretty well. It did last 4 years. Then comes Bionicle G2, something so many fans have been wanting to see for a long time. It comes out and it starts with a rocky road, but finds a stable ground. Then towards the end of 2015 massive clearances started to happen, most sets were 50% off. 2016 comes and already on Amazon you can see clearances happening, some stores, are not even caring the sets, and if they do there are not a lot of them. So where do you see the future of constraction going to? It seems to be headed on a downwards spiral, and the only real way I see of saving it is through advertising. Just, agh it is just weird to me because system has been going on a huge rise in the past few years, while constraction seems to be going in the opposite direction.

    [MOC] K-2SO

K-2SO "The probability of me making a probability joke is high. Very high." The main impetus for this was to try and get the down-sweeping shape of the shoulders/upper torso. Along the way, everything else got rebuilt. Despite the looks, he can stand on his own quite well. It's a shame that black friction axle-pins are so rare... Thanks for watching.

    [MOC] Darth Vader

Darth Vader. Fully poseable, made from the Constration figure a good friend got for me in Malaysia. Two Kylo Rens died so that he could be built... Mostly for the tabbards... Totally worth it. The fabric used in the Constraction line clings to itself electrostatically, so even though there's only a single attachment point for the cape, it can be shaped. Lightsaber and belt details. "Come with me." Thanks for watching.
  17. After a long dark age, I came back to Lego and started collecting and building again. One of my favorite themes that came out while I was away is Space Police III. I especially like the way that some sets (Raid VPR, Hyperspeed Pursuit) integrate Technic fairings alongside System parts. When building Space mocs, are there any non-System parts that you like to include in your builds? (I'm thinking of more specialized parts than technic beams or simple bionicle ball joints that show up in many official sets.)

    [MOC] Arcane Samurai

The masked warrior. Inspired by Samurai X minifig print. Wanted to make a realistic armored figure with brighter-than-usual colors. More images on Cyclopic Bricks.
  20. I feel we need a topic that anyone can use to show off any changes they make to any of the current Star Wars sets and future ones. I'll start with a mod to Darth Vader that gives him a custom gearbox along with other minor changes. Like giving him Kylo Ren's cape and a place to store his lightsaber when not in use http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_1.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_2.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_3.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_4.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_5.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_6.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_7.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_8.jpg http://www.brickshel...r_gearbox_9.jpg http://www.brickshel..._gearbox_10.jpg http://www.brickshel..._gearbox_11.jpg Lxf file http://www.brickshel...orso_geared.lxf

    MOC: Forfhuarú

Forfhuarú, gel of icicles, frost and winds of winter. Not much backstory here, probably goddes or personification of wintery things. Based on some piece uses, like trans-icy-blue double sockets, Kopaka's shield halves and Nuju Hordika's axes. Honestly around 60% SYSTEM though. More on the blog. Enjoy.

    Xiroc: The Vengeful Shadow

Because every evil villain needs a top hat... My third entry for BFTGM. A revamp of this moc.
