    MOC: Pizza delivery van

    Although this build was inspired by a Series 12 CMF, I think it fits best in the town forum. It can be driven by other figures, and it is actually based on a classic town model, the van from 6350 'Pizza To Go' (called 'Mama's Pizzeria' in Britain). "Did the Special order a special" I have always assumed that the 6350 van was a Lego representation of a Japanese 'kei' van, a very small type of vehicle most common in Japan (where their very small dimensions and engine size allow for tax advantages) but also occasionally seen in Britain and Europe on very light duties (though they are less common than they used to be). The front-end has been extended and restyled, inspired by early 'kei' vehicles, and also old British forward control vans like the Commer PB. The roof has been raised to make up for the absence of an opening roof, and the 'Pizza Delivery Guy's' printed box forms the sign on the roof (there is no other branding of any kind). The original 6350 van's walkie-talkie has been replaced by a smart phone, a custom printed 'iBrickphone' from Fire Star Toys (pure Lego alternatives are available). The biggest changes are at the rear. Rear lights have been added, and the load bay has been enlarged, taking advantage of the raised roof. While the 6350 van could only just hold four pizzas, this van carries four in the lower compartment alone. The upper compartment can only hold one, and carries the most special pizza, the very spicy brown crusted Pizza of Resistance! "Jeff, don't! It has cheese!" It is just possible to wedge another pizza into the top of the lower compartment, increasing the van's capacity to 6, but this is not recommended. The large lower compartment can also carry other loads, like paaaaaaaaants! Power comes from a small underfloor engine, accessible by lifting up the drivers hinged plate seat. In the absence of an opening roof, the hinge also provides a novel way to get the driver in. While this van is based on a classic town model (which I never owned) I believe that, as a 'kei' van, it also fits into a modern 'City' scene, as it is supposed to be smaller than the other vehicles.

Space - Old UFO, Spyrius, etc. figures (Droids/robot-like figures and aliens mainly)* - Alien Conquest (Aliens, some of the AC soldiers) - Galaxy Squad figures (Insectoids and robots mainly, also some Squad troopers) - Space Police 3 (Officers, especially from wave 2 and 3 (purple hat alien, Rench (lime tentacle alien), Squidtron, Jawson & Craniac. Blacktron torsos also welcome)* - Ultra Agents villains - CMF Series 14 Aliens & Space Troopers - CMF White & Orange Battle Mech - CMF Blacktron Battle Mech - CMF > possibly other space figures As for my haves, I've got Star Wars figures, CMFs, castle (Crown Knight Fantasy Era mostly) and a smaller amount of figures from other themes.   4. Hello everyone, The earlier return of the successful original design of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 is totally out of this world. With just two to three months after the launch of Series 12, The LEGO Group (TLG) has once again taken the world by storm with this brand new equally impressive line-up of 71008: LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 which is very highly elusive. Before I begin this detailed pictorial review, I will like to give my very most sincere thank you and appreciation to TLG which consist of LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team for continuing to facilitate and providing me this very exclusive precious rare opportunity to gain access to this LEGO 2015 product which allow me to preview a 'very early' insight before many others could, in order for me to have adequate spare time to work, evaluate and review this absolute amazing newly minted LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13. As a Reviewer, this opportunity is a great honour and I am exceptionally thankful for everything that you guys have done. I cannot believe I have actually completed 15 exhaustive LEGO Pictorial reviews including this current review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past four years plus. I will like to thank to Eurobricks Staff/LEGO Ambassador, CopMike and my entire fellow Eurobricks Staffers for being so helpful to this 'WhiteFang' traditional LEGO Collectable Minifigures (CMFs) reviewing endeavour. It is pretty similar and resemble to the third 8803 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 colour schema and a quite close relative of this colour group, which is the 71002 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11. Please excuse me for the disappointment, that I will not be showing all of the previously released boxes of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series for comparison, similar to this image due to inaccessible reach of these boxes at this current moment. One thing for sure, the LEGO CMFs Design Team will certainly continue to surprise us with great anticipation on our end. Please do note that the naming that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13. So, there is absolute no doubt or misinterpretation on the naming used. Front view comparison with Series 13 and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 12, LEGO Movie and Simpsons packets By placing all of these 15 different minifigures packets altogether excluding the LEGO Team GB packet. I did not include the LEGO Team GB packet as it is not considered as part of the mainstream and I am aware that they are others who hold a different opinion. For the purpose of this review, I have decided to opt out of it. From the above image, you will see an impressive transformation from LEGO CMFs Series 1 to the new LEGO Simpsons Series, and now to the current Series 13. Isn't it wonderful to be able to view them from a helicopter view. I will certainly think that this LEGO Minifigures Theme contain a very strong product range just by seeing all of the releases since 2010. Take a closer look at these following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. To the regular readers of my traditional LEGO CMFs review, you will probably notice that this paragraph is something which I have highlight again and again, because I personally felt that it is the most effective method to acquire the highly sought minifigures without taking any drastic measures. Therefore, I am going to highlight this 'same' golden rule, which has been mentioned in my previous reviews. If you are intending to narrow the precious and hard-to-find minifigures that you are bending to collect, please continue to hone the touch and feel method. It is a useful skill set to acquire and locate the minifigures that you want without wasting additional money to randomly acquire them especially when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories that appeared for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs away and feel for other parts. The only disadvantage of this method is much idle time will be most likely wasted if the minifigures that you are seeking for does not exist in the box or ending up having sore numb thumbs after feeling. I personally felt that this approach is the most practical that works the best for me than any other uncommon approaches. Front view comparison between Series 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 packets The LEGO CMFs Series is labelled and back to the traditional numbering. Do note that the numbered 13, is now placed at the bottom left corner of the packet, instead of the usual top right hand corner or the recent placement of Series 12 at bottom right corner. At the same time, you may also notice the removal of the '16 to collect' description from the packaging. I wondered what could that means. In time to come, we will soon see how this numbering will evolve as the years goes by. Meanwhile, here is the back view comparison of all the packets. I have also purposely distinguish the The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3, 11 and 13 packets and put them together since these are in a pretty similar colour grouping. Placing Series 3 and Series 13 packets side by side This is the similar observation which I have noticed based on Series 1 and Series 10 packaging. There is a slight difference of the green colour shade. I just find it rather interesting to see how the past released colours grouping is now being re-hashed in recent series. It also make me wondered how does the colours of the packaging are being determined as well. Time will tell, and we will see what the future colours for the subsequent series are. Front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 promotional poster Back view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 promotional poster As you flipped to the back of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 promotional poster, you are able to view a string of random code printed at the back. This random code may require your LEGO ID account at the LEGO official website for login before you can input the random code in the LEGO.com/minifigures. As of now, this URL is invalid. I am sure the full promotional detail and the usage of this random code will be clearly explained. If you notice carefully at the top right hand corner of the promotional poster, you will be able to notice a number 16 which I strongly believed meant that the random code that I have received is catered for the new Series 13: Galaxy Trooper minifigure. Although the Galaxy Trooper numbered 16 has appeared in other packaging, the random code given is totally unique. Thus, I have a strong gut feeling that we are somehow require to collect all 16 different minifigures with their unique code being input into this site to unlock and complete for this promotion. For certain, this marketing promotion is definitely linked to this Collect and Win participation. I am sure we can win some decent and interesting prizes by TLG by collecting these codes and input into the website to attempt to redeem something. All the more reasons, to open up your mint packaging to reveal the promotion code since there is a chance to try your luck to win something greater. This is definitely the first of its kind TLG marketing promotion which is being introduced and for all you knows. It may even appear in some places before the celebration of Christmas. 1) The valorous Classic King The introduction of the very first Series 13 minifigure is none other than the valorous Classic King. No empire or state can survive long without a King leading and protecting the safety of his citizens. The line of kingship comes a very long way in the course of time. By doing a simple search, you will find a comprehensive listing of LEGO Kings minifigures in not so recent times. Please note that the listing which I provide is incomplete and I am very sure that there are other older generation of Kings that were not indicated there. All of these Kings have one thing in common. It is the usage of this chrome gold crown which can be easily identified of his kingship. I personally felt that this Classic King is a class of its own and unparalleled against those mainstream Kings which have been discussed above. This Classic King has an unique royal aura of his own that dignify his nobility through his attire. The overall colour schema of utilising red, blue and white represent and symbolises royalty. Furthermore, this design is very much suitable in the medieval age where you can easily use it to showcase him as an actual king in your playing scenario display. This is a close up view of the Classic King. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Classic King is excellent. It comes with a good variety of accessories, which include the newly crafted design of this two tier cloth to form the royal cape of the Classic King through the combination of white and red. The white cloth also contains white printed spots which provide plentiful of nice detail from the back view and side view. It also comes with a new golden colour for the broadsword which will make a fine piece of medieval weapon. You can view the Classic King's true appearance without the beard on and a clearer look at his royal outfit. Next, you add the brown beard for the King to give a much stronger detail on his facial appearance, even though there are printed beard on his face. The best accessory in this minifigure design is the total revamp and complete new design of this new gold matt looking crown to represent the Classic King's kingship. You can see the obvious difference between the traditional gold crown and the new design. Personally, I felt it is about time that we have a new crown design instead of the usual run-of-the-mill design. It looks more real and nicer looking, that kind of stay true to those television dramas or movies. I really wonder if we will see this crown again in the future Kings of the LEGO Castle Theme. The Kings of the Medieval Age Introducing the new castle characters We are allies that would depend on one another You are not my match 2) The impartial Sheriff The impartial Sheriff has a reputation of not liked to be messed around with, especially to his Sheriff's badge which is a sign of disrespect. He is a dedicated law enforcer in the old Wild West Western Town to keep the outlaws at bay. He will stop at nothing to maintain law and order in the town and to protect the safety of others. As far as I can recall, I have only seen this classic LEGO Sheriff minifigure from 1996 to 2002. It is nice to finally see a brand new redesigned of the Sheriff. Of course, please do not forget the robotic Sheriff in the LEGO Movie 2014. This newly assigned Sheriff is an excellent integrative addition to the ongoing LEGO CMFs Wild West population. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Sheriff is surprisingly good. It comes with some good accessories, which include the first of its kind of the minifigure brown colour in this re-hashed moustache that can be attached from the neck up and it can also be used for other minifigures as well. Do note that the brown moustache element can be a little loose and it can easily swing away from the face to the side of it. You are able to view more of the minifigure's details through the back view and side view which revealed a brilliant printed holster at the leg. The new 2x2 printed 'WANTED' tile is a nice touch and the person in the poster kind of reminds me of someone who you will see him soon. You can also view the Sheriff's young appearance without the moustache on and a closer look at his sheriff dark brown khaki outfit which is a great improvement from yesteryears. New LEGO Wild Wild West Series Anyone have seen this criminal? Both of us can assist you, Sheriff I am going to put you in the jail Robots versus Sheriff 3) The adorable Unicorn Girl When my wife and I first saw this Unicorn Girl minifigure design, we knew this is going to be a crazy hit for many AFOLs and children alike. Generally, the unicorn is a mythical fantasy creature which is incredibly hard to find in deep magical enchanted forests. In this setting, this lovely girl decided to don herself with the Unicorn Character costume and became a mascot with it. Seriously, this is just like a child's dream to be able to have a chance to grasp this adorable Unicorn Girl, that is somehow can be forcefully associated with My Little Pony on a limited comparing capacity. I got a very strong feeling that this design is going to be extremely popular, similar to the Series 12 Piggy Guy, which is very very challenging to find in local shops. I also can't help but to think that this Unicorn Girl is somehow closely related to the influence of the UniKitty since Matthew Ashton, Vice President of Design (TLG) is the key person behind the original creation of the UniKitty. I do know that he has some influence over the direction of the LEGO CMFs designs. In this case, I felt it could be a case that the Unicorn Girl might just be related to UniKitty, one way or another. This is my mere conjecture though. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Unicorn Girl is pretty good. Even though there is no accessory for her to hold, the key focus is the outstanding design and starry bright colour detail at the front view. You are also able to view the adorable horse headpiece which does allow us to detach the horn away and transform it into her horse, even though there is a small visible hole. From her back view and side view, you can marvel at the fine purple tail and hair through this angle pose as well. The usage of the purple tail is commendable and I am glad to see this new component being used out of the LEGO Simpson which is by far seen with Scratchy. Common Colours Mascot Character Costumes Fairytale Characters 4) The mysterious Snake Charmer Who will ever expect to see an actual LEGO Snake Charmer minifigure? I am surprised and pleased with this design. Snake charming is an art of hypnotise a snake by playing an instrument called a pungi and has lasted for many centuries since the days of ancient Egypt. I will like to take this unique minifigure to be used in my LEGO collection by placing it in my Adventurers and Prince of Persia to let him carry out his snake charming trade in the bustling market street. Take another look in this close up view of the Snake Charmer. Parts assortment The parts assortment is good, and the main attraction of this minifigure is ought to be the new green cobra snake. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce the new snake element which is in the form of a cobra. It has nice prints which can be seen from the back view and side view which revealed the fine details of this snake. This new green cobra snake is a worthy addition as part of the ongoing nice LEGO CMFs animals. The remaining pieces are not too interesting, including the normal looking brown stick that meant to represent a flute or pungi. Well, at least I find the white turban is nice to have which show the wrapping lines from the back view. We will like a change of our pet snake Stay clear from us We are your Master 5) The nasty Goblin The nasty Goblin is one of the most exciting minifigures for castle fans like me, who has been yearning to see an original Goblin Soldier design. In this case, this is just a perfect outcome for a Goblin minifigure ransacking and looting from others. The only recent times that we had actual Goblin Soldiers, was from the Hobbits in 2012. There were other kinds of Goblins that were produced before, but none of which are made suitable for castle setting. However, we do get his other kind of counterparts such as the orcs and trolls. Either way, this Goblin is a perfect addition to the existing warring rivalry in the LEGO Castle Theme and this design is a great choice of a foot soldier. Perhaps, one day we may just see more of his kind in the future. Parts assortment The parts assortment is pretty good, especially of the inclusion of a typical scimitar design even though I did hope that they can include a new weapon design for the goblin other than recycling this design. The loot bag is the same design as previous bags, as seen in Series 8 - Santa, but coated with a darker brown colour. The Goblin has a nice new designed headpiece with pointed ears that is meant for Goblin. It is not the same as the Series 11 - Holiday Elf, for example. You can see the new headpiece design from the back view and side view, including skirt printing at the side. Castle Fantasy Characters Stop that Goblin from coming near to that cart New baddies in this realm Goblins and Orcs partnership 6) The meticulous Paleontolgist This is a surprising minifigure design and a very meaningful design to me as well. I am very glad to see this meticulous Paleontolgist being created in the form of minifigure. I would prefer it to have it as a male counterpart but I will definitely not mind having a female one instead. It is my childhood dream of wanting to be a Paleontolgist, but it is just not a viable profession in Singapore and it is not a job that is in demand in this part of the world. Well, Paleontology is a scientific study of life including the study of fossils to determine organisms' evolution and interactions with each other and their environments. Take a nice look in this close up view of the Paleontolgist in her working attire. For sure, I will tend to think this minifigure is much suitable for the very hard-to-find 21110 Research Institute set. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Paleontolgist is not bad. She received a new safari hat design which can be seen clearly from her back view and side view. I am much fond of the fossil that she is holding onto. It appears to be some form of shell-liked creatures, while the other hand is just a simple white bone which may just perhaps belong to some prehistoric animals or dinosaurs. I did tell you that I am no expert in this, but thanks to our MCW Moderator, LuxorV who happened to know the origin of this fossil and it appears to be an ammonoidea. It is something which is very hard to comprehend unless you are studying or researching in this area. So, kudos to the designers for including something that is very realistic in nature instead of just doing a fictitious fossil. Adventurous Explorers Dangerous Recovery Expedition Ahhhh! This is not your fossil! Pleased to meet you, Jungle Boy 7) The fearless Alien Trooper Space fans that enjoy the Space Police 3 theme will look forward to get their hands on this fearless Alien Trooper. This Alien Trooper appears to resemble like an organic squid looking creature but in a striking lime green tone and creepy blue eyes. This seemed to be a new faction of Alien species which is classified under trooper or soldier equivalent. Not sure of his real affiliation though, but I tend to put this Alien Trooper under the evil side, battling against the Series 7 - Galaxy Patrol. This minifigure would either make or break. It means if there is a strong urge to army build this minifigure, it will also means this person is amassing a big fleet of Alien Troopers to rally, but past historical data has proven that similar alien related space minifigures can still easily be found in the wild. Parts assortment The parts assortment is quite alright and the main focus for this design is the newly crafted alien head where you see the outline clearly from the side view. There is also back printing as well. The remaining accessories are rather common and they did their best effort to recycle the Dino gun to represent a space blaster instead. Are you going to end up the same fate as I do? Evil Space Villains Non-Lethal Space Engagement 8) The loyal Egyptian Warrior Am I the only person who is excited? I bet I am not the only person to be screaming for this minifigure! The loyal Egyptian Warrior is one of the highly anticipated designs ever, especially with the earlier releases of the Series 2 - Pharaoh and the Series 5 - Pharaoh Queen. With this released of this minifigure, the LEGO universe can finally amass a full pledged living Ancient Egypt Empire. It will excite many of us out there, including historical fans and army builders. You can take a close up view of the Egyptian Warrior. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Egyptian Warrior is impressive. The inclusion of the pearl gold khopesh weapon and the newly inverted triangle shield design, which portray the sun and the pyramid in nice pearl gold coating. It is also very rare to see shields being held in an inverted manner. You can take a moment to view the accessories in here and also upon holding the inverted shield. The full warrior attire is just plain amazing. You can see the back printing and marvel at the newly designed headpiece from the side view. Seeing this minifigure coming to reality is truly a dream come true for many. Ancient Egypt One of the greatest ancient empire ever My duty is to protect your tomb Rid of those foul evils The mightiest brave historical soldiers 9) The hardworking Carpenter City fans are in for a treat as this is the very first appearance of a hardworking Carpenter who is responsible for the wood works in LEGO Town. I am pretty pleased to see a new specialised occupation in the town where he is suitable to deploy in various parts of the town to carry out his forte. Armed with his bunch of tools at his waist, you can take a closer look of how ready our Carpenter is. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Carpenter is above average. Note the fine details on his working attire and I am fond of the printed detail such as the chest hair near the shirt's collar. You can also notice his hard hat with hair fringes from the back view and the sleeve printing from his side view. The most impressive thing about the Carpenter is the given accessories. The saw is a complete new tool which contains two distinct colours to differentiate the handle and the saw blade. The new 1x4 printed wooden pattern tile is brilliant. It is a useful printed tile which can be used to crave and add detail at the house exterior. I am always fond of printed wooden tiles and this new piece will fit in nicely with the existing collection of printed wooden tiles. I have delivered your wood Time for a good drink after work We will like you to help with carpentry work 10) The treacherous Evil Wizard This is a very nice addition to LEGO Castle fans. Finally, we are going to get a brand new design of the treacherous Evil Wizard. Although there are many good and bad Wizards throughout LEGO minifigures universe, but there are not many evil Wizards around to terrorise the good guys. In this case, the Evil Wizard will be a fitting arch-enemy for the Series 12 - Wizard. Judging from the Evil Wizard's scorching red appearance, he seem to be a master of dark arts and fire magic, with perhaps specialisation in necromancy. Parts assortment The parts assortment is pretty good. The most amazing thing about this minifigure is the complete new design of the Evil Wizard's fiery black and red cape. It is made up of two piece of fabric to form the base of the upper cap collar. The construction of the weapon is rather common and nothing too fanciful, but lots of attention was focused onto the overall appeal of his evil wizardry attire, especially to the design of his cape. I am particularly fond of his evil red eyes and the choice of black beard which was also used in the Ninjago - Evil Wu minifigure. Good versus Evil Evil Wizards and Sorcerers We will abide your orders 11) The quick Fencer LEGO City has a new sports category in town and the citizens are talking about the art of fencing. So, people are wondering what is fencing all about. In a nutshell, as provided by the quick Fencer, it is a sport of fighting with swords, especially foils, épées, or sabres, according to a set of rules, in order to score points against an opponent. Well, that is what fencing is all about. This is also an Olympic Sports and has been there since the inaugural games in 1896. I got to admit that with the fencer donning on his protective white outfit, he is definitely ready to strike and score against his opponent. Parts assortment The parts assortment is not too bad. I will have to complement that the fencer's attire is very nicely done. I am particularly like the mask and the logo of the rapiers. Do note that the mask is not the same design like the kendo's helmet. The design also took fine consideration of covering the master hand with white glove. You can view the whole attire from his back view and side view. The rapier weapon was recycled from previous LEGO CMFs Series. Choose your favourite sports character Professional Fencers Make it count 12) The steadfast Samurai Although traditionally in feudal Japan, it is highly uncommon to see woman being a samurai warrior, but to protect the honour of the samurai family, they choose to bear arms and fight to protect the family's honour. Seeing this minifigure coming to reality deserved another celebration, for Ninja lovers and army builders. I did not expect to see a female Samurai in the LEGO CMFs, since the last recent one that we have saw, was Nya in her "Samurai X" outfit. It is a pleasant news to me, especially after the first appearance of the Series 3 - Samurai, we have not seen much of such relevant designs. I have always been an avid fan of LEGO Ninja theme and I have personally amassing my collection of Ninja and Samurai. Seeing this new released female Samurai, it is a great opportunity not to be missed. I am highly excited about this dual wielding Samurai and definitely be facing stiff competition from the public. Do take a closer look at the Samurai in action. Parts assortment The parts assortment is slightly above average. I am much interested to see what is beneath her samurai armour and thankfully, it is a printed torso with oriental flavour on it. It is much better than having a plain red torso which impedes the usage of interchangeability. So, I took the Series 3 - Samurai and refresh what is beneath his armour and showing a simple comparison between both. True enough, my hands went itchy and went around swapping the parts between both Samurai, which give a pretty positive results. I like the remaining accessories including the newly printed samurai armour, dual katanas and hairdo. With her full gear on, you can view the nice details from the back view and side view. We have another new Samurai The Feudal Japan Don't let them steal the chest away Samurai Masters 13) The energetic Disco Diva It is back to the retro and the energetic Disco Diva is in the house. Wow, her overall attire is just strikingly purple with the very nice done-up hairdo. She moves around in her white roller skates and sings her melody through the microphone. This is going to be a fun night with her crashing into the party. It is unexpected to see such a design and I will have to said that the printed details are just plain amazing. With her bling bling shade and shiny attire, you can just take a closer look at her smile and let her dance your night away with her singing. Parts assortment The parts assortment is quite average with the inclusion of a new printed microphone and white roller skates. However, the main highlight is definitely her retro purple attire. There are just so much detailed printing of bubbles or circles representation as can be seen from her back view and side view including her sleeves. Her overall design is pretty amazing indeed. Disco Fever and Dance your Night away These hairdos are awesome Retro Performance Roller Skate Girls 'LIVE' musical concert in City Square Central 14) The delicious Hot Dog Man Who is feeling hungry? Well, I can't help it but to feel my stomach growling after seeing this delicious Hot Dog, donned by this gentleman. This Hot Dog Man is certainly there to place as part of the marketing mix to promote the sales of hot dog. His suit is made up of a big sliced bun with a steamed hot dog and mustard applied onto it. This is just so amazing, and he is definitely smiling happily in his suit. I will think this is another popular minifigure among adults and children alike that could just entice many others to search for this unique and special design. I just can't believe that the designer actually thought of doing this at all. Glad to see this becoming a reality. Parts assortment The parts assortment is average as there are zero accessories given for the Hot Dog Man. However, the main design focus is to ensure the singular piece of hot dog suit is done accurately with just one click. The man can just take off the hot dog suit as one piece and the suit still remain like an edible looking hot dog. You can't stop to marvel the fine detail from the back view and side view. Hot Dog Man, we are hungry... Hot Dog and Ice Cream Cart Vibrant City Scene 15) The fierce Lady Cyclops This is also an unexpected female counterpart minifigure which is designed to pair up with the Series 9 - Cyclops. I just didn't expect to see this coming and the exact shaping is similar to the male design as well. At least now we know that female Cyclops come in different colour skin tone. Although she might be a female, but I do believe she can be rather fierce and temperamental. With her eyes wide awake, I wonder what she will do with her club? Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Lady Cyclops is average, including the common club. She comes with nice detailed back printing and the shape of the Cyclops body can be examined closer from the side view. The minifigure head comes in two different emotions, namely the half awake and the full awake. Do check out the difference of both Cyclops in their snooze mode and fully awake mode. Can the heroic Spartan hold them off? Let's run and get out of here!!! 16) The elite Galaxy Trooper This is the last minifigure highlight in Series 13, and it is none other than the elite Galaxy Trooper. I am very pleased to see a new variant of the Galaxy Trooper which is tougher, monotone, highly armoured than the Series 7 - Galaxy Patrol. Suggested by the name 'trooper', I believe this Galaxy Trooper is the foot solider for the Space Defenders I am surprised that the symbol on the armour suit is not belonging to Classic Space logo. Instead, you might notice that his symbol represent his affiliation which is geared towards the recent LEGO Galaxy Squad. This is a very pleasant surprise indeed. In this case, this Galaxy Trooper is featured in his battle mode which is super battled ready and he can switch back to the non-combat mode. I will think this is another popular space army building minifigure among the collectors, including myself which also inspired me to expand my troopers as well, along with the existing ranks of Galaxy Patrols and to add it to my existing Galaxy Squad collection. Parts assortment The parts assortment is great, especially with the newly impressive space armour that can hold the dual space blasters securely at the back of it. You can see how the dual blasters are placed by seeing the back view. If you have observed carefully, you may also notice the same logo at the front also appearing at the back of it. The side view also reveal the fine detail of the entire minifigure. I really felt that the newly designed space armour revolutionise on how the space blasters can be stored for safe transportation, which will be shown in my simple MOC creation: Skylet Spacecraft. It means I will have 12 remaining random spares left. Read down to find out what are the remaining spares I have. By buying one full complete MISB box, it will allow you to achieve three maximum complete unique sets. Ever since the significant shift of the distribution ratio in LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons, TLG have miraculously return to the LEGO consumers with the traditional three complete sets. The ongoing LEGO CMFs Series 13 has also continued the best ideal arrangement of having three full sets in a sealed box of 60. I am extremely pleased with this outcome which will definitely be much eventful. I felt the appeals of these minifigures are taken into a brand new level despite giving due considerations, restrictions and limitations which the LEGO CMFs Design Team has to work with. The LEGO CMFs Design Team will have to base on their best judgement through the support of market research data and probably parts per piece count manufacturing process in order to determine the distribution ratio. As you have noticed through the given distribution ratio, the less appealing minifigures such as the Palaeontologist, Disco Diva, Fencer and Lady Cyclops do not need to have a larger number of identical minifigures in a box and is suitable for the distribution ratio of three. However, it will be even better if the Samurai can be given a distribution ratio of four or five since it is considered to be a potential army building minifigure which would be highly sought for. While, City or Town related minifigures such as the Unicorn Girl and Hot Dog Man, it will be better if it can be given a distribution ratio of four due to the high possibility of them being popular minifigures similar to the past LEGO CMFs mascot character costumes. I am extremely pleased to see the Classic King, Evil Wizard, Egyptian Warrior, Goblin and Galaxy Troopers to be given with this current ratio since these could be highly probability of being the popular ones which are most likely to be taken out of the box first. Ultimately, I am satisfied with this distribution arrangement and I will think that they have done their best to ascertain the popularity level of these minifigures to their best knowledge and ability. Well, I can certainly see that many popular minifigures in this series would just be the case of potential army building. What do you think? It is no easy challenge to be able to create, design and introduce many new creative and original designs to attract to the masses. In fact, I noticed the recent Series 12 release has even attracted more fans into collecting this theme than the LEGO Movie and the LEGO Simpsons, who are not even LEGO fans. By that point, I can really see the increasing popularity of this theme and hopefully it can even retain these casual buyers and convert them into full-pledged LEGO fans. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme is an unique commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme or special releases. Instead, everything that you have seen in a single released series is all based on the 16 minifigures to reach out to fans, children, adults and collectors of LEGO. It has been a very long tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today. I will like to point out something and bring to your attention, like what I have done in my Series 12 review. I noticed the removal of the marked indent at the armpit of the minifigures which we will normally associate the production to somewhere in Mainland China, is consistent from Series 12 to Series 13. As indicated at the back of the packaging, the LEGO components in the Series 13 are 100% produced in China. I can also highlight and infer that it is no longer the same production process. I have observed that in our very own Eurobricks discussion that the quality of some Series 12 minifigures parts including the connection process of the head to the hairpiece and the torso to the legs are rather loose than normal for some minifigures. However, the overall quality for the Series 12 is still made up of high quality ABS plastic. I suspect that TLG may have changed the production process or technology for producing these minifigures. At least from what I have obtained for this review, the minifigures in Series 13 do not suffer the very obvious loose parts symptoms. The quality is better than before but until now, nothing is for certain why the removal of the marked indent and the rational of it. Nothing can be certain and based on this paragraph that I have indicated, is merely my own wild conjecture. Now with a total of 240 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 12, the recent LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series and the current LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier minifigure that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encylopedia. At this rate that it has been releasing, I believe most of the display collectors for this LEGO Minifigures Series, will need to source and upgrade their display capabilities by creating future provision for upcoming new releases in the near future. With this LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 in the releasing schedule for the start of year 2015, what more exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it is worth the wait. Please note that the The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Plentiful new minifigure designs that can be integrated across many new and existing themes/settings.) Design: 8.5/10 (Excellent detailed printing with good new accessories especially the new design of the capes.) Price: 7.5/10 (I believe pricing may remain the same for Singapore, but prices have gone up for other regions and if it remains, this will go down by one notch.) Overall: 8/10 (Prepare yourself for this upcoming new Series 13 and hope you can get the ones that you want the most! There are at least one minifigure that will bound to attract you.)   5. Rogue Angel's Collectible Series Avalonia Druid The Druidic Order still exists in Avalonia, and it's members say they descend from the Great Druids of old. They are still reclusive, and rarely reveal themselves to outsiders. Some say they still wield mystical powers of great strength. Albion Cutpurse All large cities have their shady side, and Albion is no different. The City is awash in thieves, charlatans and footpads, and this cutpurse looks to be on his way to fence some ill-gotten gains. Elven Sentinel Most every Elven Clan has a wilderness they permanently inhabit. They serve as caretakers of these wilds and as part of this, they typically pose sentinels to watch for any intruders or encroachers. Albion Pastry Chef The wealthier citizens of Albion have a more refined palate, and are willing to pay for finer fare. The Pastry chef caters to a very exclusive clientele, who prefer the most exquisite of bakery. Mitgardia Elven Ranger The Elves of Mitgardia are more sparsely populated than in the southern realms, and Elven Rangers are seasoned warriors who can fend for themselves, and live off the land for months at a time. Dwarven Axeman The Axeman are the backbone of most Dwarven forces, the axe being one of the most heavily favored Dwarven arms. As with the Rangers, the hearty axemen are more than capable of weathering the harsh Mitgardian winters. Mountain Man The far northern reaches of Mitgardia are desolate and uninviting. It takes a certain type of man to call these lands home, but there are trappers, miners and hunters who enjoy living far from civilization. Or far from the law. Gnomish Artificer The Gnome are obsessed with mechanics, alchemy and technology, and the Artificer excels at creating mechanical tools and constructs. "For gnomes, technology is the heart of simplicity, for through technology the burden of simple tasks may be relieved, so that every gnome has more time to focus on developing more technology to relieve more simple tasks, - Gnomish adage Kaliphlin Spearman The Kaliphlin guardsman patrol across the Guild, and the spear is often their weapon of choice. These guardsman can endure the searing heats and barren expanses of the Kaliphlin wastes in their efforts to protect merchants and travelers. Gorilla Mariner The Gorilla Tribes have little interaction with the neighboring villages of their homeland, but they are much more prolific on the seas of Historica, and Gorilla Mariners can usually be found in most every major port from Nocturnus to Mitgardia. Scribe Kaliphlinites seems to think that their every whim should be recorded for posterity, and have even established a University to house their whims. With such an effort being spent on writing these whims down, the scribe is one of the most professions in Kaliphlin. Seraphim Lance The Seraphim inhabit the skies of Kaliphlin, but few know of their existence. They have long battled the Ravens flocks of Nocturnus, but this is a saga that plays out unbeknownst to the Kaliphlinites below. Nocturnus Drow Taskmaster The Drow are an evil race that inhabit the subterranean reaches that extend across Historica, but are often seen in most Nocturnus Cities, and occasionaly Kaliphlin ports looking to purchase slaves or more exotic wares. Lycanthropist A number of the Werwolf tribes of Nocturnus have accumulated vast sums of wealth over the years, and the Lycnathropists travel across Nocturnus, seeking to provide assistance to those in need. Their are tales that some werewolves tell their young, of werewolves that turn into humans, and steal and swindle others out of their money instead, but these are just meant to scare them. Fang of the Dragon The Dragon Clan of Nocturnus is said to be one of the strongest factions in Nocturnus, and the Fang of the Dragon is the order of Samurai that give alleigance to the Dragon Clan. They are formidable opponents, and often form the main line of attack in Clan wars. Orc Farmer The orcs are seen as a nuisance or threat in most of the guilds, but in Nocturnus, there is a large number of Orc Farmers, that want nothing more than to live in the comfort of their own hovel with their swine by their side, and live out their days in tranquility.   6. Avalonia: Elven Guild Master The Elven Guild Master is one of the richest individuals in all of Avalonia. Using his cunning skills in business and trade, he has improved the economic situation of Avalonia while improving the economic situation of his purse. Do not think him miserly, though. He always reinvests his riches for the betterment of Avalonia and is often found giving aid to those in need. Herbalist Having spent her entire life in the forest glades of Avalonia, the Herbalist knows about every plant around. Learning from her elders and her own experiences, she knows the best cures for any ailment. Throughout different experimentation, she has even found certain flora to cause unusual hallucinations and an irresistible desire to hug a tree… Knight Errant Adventure, gold, glory, and damsels in distress draw the Knight Errant on amazing quests all across the Guilds! His shiny armor offers him protection in a scrape, and his trusty sword and shield give him the edge in any scrap with the scum he encounters. Always travelling, he is never bored, but there are times when he just wishes he could find somewhere to wash his tights. Stinky Stu Growing up in the flower fields of Avalonia has given Stinky Stu a love for things that grow and good tilled earth. Each day, he delves deeper into his research with hybrids to produce the most vibrantly colored and enchantingly scented flowers in the Guilds. These flowers are a hit everywhere, but Stu still cannot figure out why no one ever buys the scented flowers directly from him… Mitgardia: Hunter Ever on the prowl in search of game, the Hunter has spent many an hour in the mountains and rugged lands of Mitgardia. She has learned to know the signs of the presence of any wildlife nearby and is able to quickly determine the best way to catch her quarry. It is well known that she has an unusual ability to hide from animals, and some suppose that this is due to her natural smell from never bathing. Dwarven Warrior Fully armed and filthy, the Dwarven Warrior is a formidable foe on the battlefield, especially when he is defending his homeland of Mitgardia. His trusty axe is always sharp and he certainly knows how to use it! Stouter than stout and braver than brave, no foe has ever yet contended with him, unless you count the time when his wife grew her beard longer than his... he has never lived that down, and you had better not mention it! Frozen Beyonder Not much is known about the Frozen Beyonder, except that his armor is tough, his arms strong, and his weapons of ice are extremely cold! Adventurers have sought to learn more about these frigid creatures, but, thank goodness, they have never been seen south of the northern Mitgardian border. Snow Elf The mysterious race of the Snow Elves live in northern parts of Mitgardia and are completely at home amidst snow and ice. Though not impervious to cold, they are extremely resilient, and most assume that to be due to the warmth of their hearts. Kin to the Woodland Elves, the Snow Elves came into Mitgardia before anyone remembers. Legend tells of their many brave deeds but also of their simple lifestyle. Nocturnus: Drow Guard In the many underground tunnels dug by the Drow, the Drow Guard can be found guarding key passages that lead into unknown territories. Though even many in Nocturnus disown the Drow, the Drow Guard still wears Nocturnian colors for evil Drowish symbolism: Black for midnight darkness hiding, Red for blood of enemies spilt, Gold for treasures bringing fighting, and the weapon’s surface gilt. No one has ever passed a Drow Guard and lived to tell the tale... Orc Farmer Girl Gardening and raising livestock have always been a way of life for the Orc Farmer Girl, as there are always others in need of sustenance. Inglorious is the life of a Nocturnus swamp farmer, but this Orc Farmer Girl dreams of more. Many a passing Orc adventurer has stopped to admire her homely beauty, but she is too finicky to accept the fleeting love of an adventurer. She awaits the day she can present her prize onion to someone special, like the Orc Sentry, the hero on the wall always protecting the innocent swamp farmers. So high, so removed from the swampy muck and mud… Ninja Queen White hair shows age that has brought much wisdom and experience to the Ninja Queen, and this in turn has brought her to the top rank among the stealth warriors in Nocturnus. No one has ever seen the face of the Ninja Queen, be it due to her stealthy movements or her skull-like mask covering her face. No one knows what race she is, but legend has it that she actually is a shadow. Orc Sentry The duty of the Orc Sentry is one of great importance. He must investigate all who seek to pass the wall into his lord’s realm to determine their intents and purposes. Numerous battles have been fought at these walls, in which the Orc Sentry has found much use for his long pike. He must bear the torch at night to keep a keen eye even in darkness. Many days seem uneventful, though, and the Orc Sentry looks across the swamp fields and dreams of a certain Orc Farmer Girl, so beautiful, so down-to-earth, so unattainable… Kaliphlin: Fisherman The southern coasts of Kaliphlin are home to the Fisherman. His trusty hook, line, and sinker have proven useful in making a living providing fish to the citizens of Kaliphlin cities. He has also found that he can make even more money by taking rich aristocrats out for tours to the “best fishing spots”, though he often leaves the very best spots for himself. Merchant Offering the finest Kaliphlin goods at the finest prices, the Merchant is a born saleswoman. Knowing how to read people and determine their needs, she uses words and flattery in such a way that you are sure to leave with heavier baggage and a much lighter purse. She is always willing to work a deal fit for your needs, but do not cross her, as she is as quick with her dagger as she is with her tongue and wit. Route Guard The many paths and roads of the Kaliphlin trade routes offer many a temptation to thieves and highwaymen. That is where the Route Guard comes in. All members of the Route Guard are esteemed for their skill with shield and spear and are known for their dedication and bravery. Bearing the symbol of the lion as a representation of their courage and proudly garbed in the colors of Kaliphlin, their regal appearance is enough to warn any vagabond to think twice before raiding trade caravans. Mameluke Though he is a slave, the Mameluke is dedicated to his lord. For his loyalty, the lord has rewarded the Mameluke with a camel to ride into battle, the best means of transportation in the hot sands of Kaliphlin. Since he is also protecting his family from danger, he willingly obeys his lord as he looks forward to the day he earns his freedom. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you enjoy this series! I had a lot of fun coming up with characters and descriptions while trying to make this series as similar to the style of a real series of collectible minifigures as possible.   7. Here's my entry, hope you enjoy! Avalonia Cartographer The Cartographer enjoys nothing more than traveling the land, finding hidden wonders missed by previous mapmakers. She particularly enjoys charting the Mystic Isles, but is often called upon to update borders for the many fiefdoms of Avalonia. "I can't wait to see what's around the bend!" Tavern Keeper A staple across Historica, taverns and inns offer respite for the weary and a chance for locals to see strange visitors from afar without leaving their cozy hamlets. This Avalonian Tavern Keeper will gladly fill your belly with good food and drink, if you've the coin to pay! "Always happy to serve a paying customer!" Halfling Cutpurse The Halfling Cutpurse plies his trade among the cities of Avalonia, where the predominance of Big Folk allow him to slip easily through crowds, often mistaken for a street urchin. The Big Folk also are handy in that their wallets and purses are within easy reach of the halfling's quick fingers and trusty blades! "A penny in hand is worth two in the purse; a whole purse in hand is even better!" Mitgardia Dwarf Lord The Dwarf Lord rules over one of the many underground cities of the dwarves in the north, using his heavy scepter and warhammer to protect his realm--not to mention the precious gems and metals his people mine from the depths! "Gold, gold, gold, I sure do love me gold...and my people, of course." Ice Warrior The Ice Men of the north were once considered nothing more than a legend, until a clan hunting party lost their way in a blizzard. This Ice Warrior uses his enchanted axe and shield to defend his territory...and scare off wayward hunters! "Ice to meet you!" Forge Guard It's no secret that dwarven women aren't something non-dwarves see every day, but of course they exist! One place you'll often find them is among the prestigious Forge Guards in most dwarven cities, protecting the Great Forges from outsiders and the occasional dwarf under the spell of goldlust. With mighty mallentû hammers in hand, they stand their watch over the beating hearts of the cities. "You didn't believe that rumor about the beards, did you?" Orcish Goatheard Residents of Nocturnus have long accepted that not all orcs are warlike savages, but that knowledge has been slow to catch on elsewhere--often with good reason! The village of this Goatherd in the Orcish Marches of western Mitgardia wants little more than to be left in peace, but often finds itself caught up in neighboring conflicts. The goatherd defends her flock, spear in hand, from all threats, be it wild predators, rival orc tribes, or battle-hungry men and dwarves. "I love my kids! See what I did there?" Kaliphlin Sellsword Soldiers-for-hire are common throughout Historica, but not often well-received. Selling loyalty doesn't feel right to many, but for the right price--and the right cause--this skilled Sellsword's blades can be yours! "Swordplay is like a dance; shall we?" Philosopher This Philosopher attended the famed University of Petraea for years--and never left! When he's not auditing (and interrupting) classes, he can be found roaming the grounds, dispensing "wisdom" and debating anyone he can about his theory of the cyclical nature of existence. "Ah, but what is tuition, anyway?" Ruadh Perfumer Ruadh is home to a wide variety of artisans and craftsmen, including this little halfling plying her aromatic wares. From subtle to cloying, repellant to magnetic, she's got a scent to suit you--even some that are claimed to be magical! "would you like a free spritz?" Nocturnus Shadowmere Captain The Shadowmere Captain is an orc you don't mess with. He takes his duties as seriously as maintaining his mohawk, and brooks no laziness from the troops under his command with the threats of the Black Spire and the Drow always looming. "Step lively, you mangy warthogs!" Redcap Goblin Redcap Goblins have spread across Historica, but they're particularly common in Nocturnus where the rumored practice of dying their caps in the blood of their enemies isn't seen as quite so unusual. Pike in hand, this little creature is no one to be trifled with! "Ankle-biter? Come down here and say that to my face!" Miscellaneous Valyrion Fox The Valyrion Fox is a famed figure in his native land. A bandit to some, hero of the masses to others, he battles corruption among the nobles in certain parts of Valyrio. Some have suggested he's secretly a noble himself! "I fight for the people!" Red Mage Nobody knows where the Red Mage truly hails from, but he's claimed a tower near Cedrica as his own and often wanders the whole of Historica with his mighty wizard staff and wide array of spells at his command. Word has spread that he seeks an apprentice to learn his vast knowledge, but as yet none have been chosen. Pretenders abound, however. Many wonder, with such power at his fingertips, why can't he magick himself a new leg? "The power to change the world lies in which hand?" Drow Warleader The crafty Drow have long plotted the downfall of the surface-dwellers. Warleaders clad in traditional black and silver chitinous armor, wielding wicked curved blades, take point in most Drow raids across Historica, thought they are not the true authority behind the soldiers. "The Dark is rising!" Gnome Paladin The Gnome Paladin is a bit of an oddity. He claims no allegiance to any one guild, swearing fealty to his deity above all else. None are quite sure where he's from, only that his Order of the Broken Cog sounds more like a tavern than a group of paladins. He may be a bit of a zealot, but his trusty mace, shield, and helmet serve him well in his defense of innocents and pursuit of righteous causes. "Have at thee, foul villains!" I tried to keep mine as authentic as I could as far as techniques used by TLG went for minifigure accessories. And who wouldn't love a goat in a CMF bag?

Here is my entry to the GoH Anniversary Contest Cedrica Royal Guard of Cedrica With the King's whereabouts lost in the mists of the Revolword Wars, the Royal Guards of Cedrica are guarding an empty throne. Which may prove more dangerous than you should think… Mitgardia Northman Normally, he will be herding reindeer on the plains or icefishing on the frozen lakes of the far north, but when called upon to defend his homeland, he is a fearsome fighter. On top of this, his "moose-in-heat" battlecry is rather fearsome… Dwarven Prospector Some say dwarves have a sixth sence for valuable minerals, while others say its all about hard work in the dark mines. The truth is likely somewhere in between. Merchant Captain From the port of Thorshaven, this seacaptain roams the waters of Historica in an armed merchant vessel, shying away from nothing in the quest for fame and fortune. Well, almost nothing… Is that a seamonster?! Nocturnus Crocman Warrior Born and raised in the Moruth Swamps of Nocturnus, this warrior navigates water as well as land. While undisciplined, he is fearsome in battle. Cyclops Farmer While often overlooked in the annals of history, farmers are who keeps the armies marching. This cyclops farmer tends his crops as tenderly as any elf - Unless they bite back, that is. Orc Warchief Orcs tend to be the cannonfodder of any epic battle, but some do survive the onslaught. Those who survive enough battles to grow old, amass enormous experience and are often chosen as warchiefs. Kaliphlin Faqir Living an ascetic life in the streets of Barqa, this faqir preaches his verson of the teachings of the Aslanic faith. He makes his living on alms and what passers-by pay to see the snake dance to his flute. Gorrian Guardian In the Jungle of Gorr the Abemen resides. The strongest and fiercest of their people are chosen as Guardians of the Jungle and taught to stop for nothing to protect their homelands. Although banana bribes seem to improve their civility… Belly Dancer Assassin This beauty will enchant you with her moves and keep you entertained. But take care not to end up as a name on her contracts, for only few have lived to tell of her true occupation. Avalonia Plains Shepherd From a young age, a peasant's son must take his part in providing for his family. This young boy tends sheep in Avalonian riverlands with the help of his trusty sheepdog. Elven Wanderess In the enchanted forests of the Mystic Isles, the elves dwell, living in perfect harmony with nature. Her eyes appears to be imposing a question upon your mind: Have YOU hugged a tree today? Longbowmen Volunteer When danger strikes the lands, the longbowman levy is called to man the walls. Trained twice a week since childhood, these archers are a force to be reckoned with. All of them will hit the mark at 300 yards. The best of them will split the arrows already sitting in it... Drow Drow Tunnel Runner The Drow tunnels under Historica are constantly patrolled by Tunnel Runners, who may also be carrying whatever communications Drow commanders pass between eachother. Most likely the newest recipe for root stew… Varlyrio Palace Guard Captain The Rego is surrounded by his Palace Guard at all times. This Captain of the Guard keeps the soldiers in check and ensures that every piece of metal is newly polished and shiny. A flashy soldier is a good soldier, the Rego always said! Wealthy Plutocrat The wealth of Varlyrio is based upon the hard work of the entrepreneurial bourgeoisi. These plutocrats rarely chose sides in times of conflict, as profits are best gained through neutrality. _______________________________________________________________________________ I've had these sitting on the shelf since December, and seen a few of my ideas being used by others. (Great minds really do seem to think alike ) Lego even stole my idea for a snake charmer in the newest CMF series! There has been a lot of good entries so far - good luck to all! Mitgardian archers might lack the finness of the Avalonian elves, but their bolts hit hard, just like a Mitgaridan blizzard. Unknown Ice Mage – Legends are rife with anecdotes of ghostly demons in the Frozen Beyond, could this be one of them? Mead Hall Barmaid – She may always be smiling, but if you mess with her, her customers, or her mead hall, she’ll pick you up and throw you out in the cold! Avalonia: The Green Knight – Always happy to save a damsel in distress, this knight trusts his shield, armor, and sword to deal with everything that comes his way, though he’s learning there is no defense for angry damsels. Druid Witch – With an affinity for nature, she roams the countryside looking for interesting alchemy ingredients. Sometimes her potions even work! Farmer – Typical of farmers in the fertile regions of Avalonia, he takes his fresh wares to market almost every day. Kaliphlin: Skullcrusher the Lion – One of the most experienced of the Kaliphlinite Army regulars, Skullcrusher relishes crushing skulls with his heavy mace and can’t wait to take the fight to the Black Spire. Pharaoh’s Mystic – When the Pharaohs of the Mountain Mummies need someone horribly cursed, they send the Mystic to do the deed. While his origins are unknown, his expertise with venomous creatures and ancient magic makes him a formidable foe both in the shadows and on the battlefield. Black Oil Salesman – Don’t confuse him with a snake oil salesman! This experienced negotiator is a respectable merchant that does his part to illuminate the dark corners of Historica. Nocturnus: Black Spire Headsman – Sometimes heads just must roll. In fact, supplying the annual Empty Skull Bowling Contest provides much of the headsman’s yearly income. If you like your head connected to your body, it’s usually best to avoid the Spire! Drow Sorcerer – A true master of black magic, this Drow mage is known for turning his victims inside out. It’s fairly gruesome, and frankly, nobody wants to see it (especially the janitorial staff!); so, just stay out of his way. Fisherman – Noctunian waters are surprisingly well stocked with edible animals—depending on your definition of “edible”! A staple protein product around Abyssian, the Orange-Shelled Water Spider is sourced with frequency from the Moruth Swamplands by skilled fishermen. Others: Varlyrion Harbor Guard – Significantly less full of themselves than the Garra, the Harbor Guard ensures no pirates take up residence in Varlyrio, tariffs are paid, brawls result in minimal property damage, and the proper amount is skimmed off the top… Varlyrion Noblewoman – She spends most of her time like many of the richer Varlyrions, drinking fine wine and eating fine foods while attempting to advance her courtly position. King’s Guard – A proud group of warriors, the crimson and bright silver of the King’s men once symbolized the might of the throne. Even with civil wars wracking the four Guilds, the Guard has not given up hope that the King will return. They still defend the palace with their lives and their giant axes. Cedrica Silversmith – This dwarf is known far and wide as the best silversmith in all of Historica. He can craft any jewelry, but he most enjoys working with locks and keys. This was way fun! Thanks Ecc for the great contest! I tried to keep the piece counts realistic for these, though the Headsman and King's Guard got a little crazy with the axes.

Hi guys - here is my assortment of minifig designs for the GOH Anniversary Contest: Kaliphlin: Colour Guard Soldier: Proudly part of the elite guard responsible for displaying and protecting the Kali colours (at least when he's not half asleep...). Assassin: One of the most lucrative killers in the business - with his twin bone knives, he's quick, clean, and quiet. Pit Fighter: Fame and fortune await the victors of the Kali pits - this fighter wants it all. Vinter: The great wine maker - he got tired of making ale in the frozen north and so moved to the warmer climates of Kaliphlin where he developed a series of vintages famous throughout Historica. Mitgardia: Horse Master: People far and wide come seeking the advice of this horse master to solve all their horse training problems. Mountain Man: Several bouts of frostbite has made this Mitgardian impervious to the frigid mountain temperatures. Adventurer: Having little luck in the facial hair department, this hopeful fellow is on a quest to earn his beard. Baker: The family recipes have been passed down for generations, and this dwarf is carrying on the tradition of creating some of the best baked goods around. Avalonia: Avalonian Infiltrator: The drow are on the loose, and need to be stopped. Record Keeper: This scribe keeps careful records of the local laws and histories. Archer: No one can figure out how this sharp shooter can hit his target every time - the guy's missing an eye! Maiden: This curly haired lady devotes all her free time to studing plants, hoping to accumulate enough knowledge to become a great herbalist. Nocturnus: Drakarkan Queen: She rules, alongside the king, under the seas along the northern shores of Nocturnus. Jester: One of the greatest Nocturnus entertainers - you die laughing when head start to roll. The Happy Wizard: Captain of the warship The Smiling Phantom - you'll want to hightail it outa-there if you see his ship out on the horizon (well except, you probably won't see it 'till after it's too late). Warlord Blanche: While Historica will more likely remeber her tirant sister Warlord Baby Jane - Blanche was truely the brains behind the terror that wreaked havoc across Nocturnus - until both sisters seemed to just vanish from history. (These characters were going to be my contribution to the Warlord community build (overtly inspired by What ever happened to Baby Jane), which I will try to complete one of these days... ) Thanks for having a look. A few of these might be recognizable from past builds, but for the most part I had a hoot coming up with some newish, unique-ish characters.

So, if TLG insists on making themed CMF series anyway, what themes would you want, and it would be cool to list at least a few of the figures you'd like to see from those. I can name a bunch of themes I'd like, but in the interest of leaving it up to discussion, I'll just throw out this mostly(*) unviable one: Horror: Michael Myers (Halloween) Freddy Krugger (Nightmare on Elm Street) Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) Alien (Alien) Chucky (Child's Play) Ash (Evil Dead 2) Jack Torrence (The Shining... he'd need a Jack Nicholson crazed face and an axe) Shaun (Shaun of the Dead) The Fly Max Schreck (Shadow of the Vampire) Betelgeuse (Beetlejuice) Edward Scissorhands Carrie (blood covered) I think Betelgeuse and Edward Scissorhands, in particular, would actually be viable; I'd think that about Shaun, too, if it hadn't already been shot down. EDIT: I see I have only one "hero," so I'd add Ripley (Alien), and Ed (Shaun of the Dead). Maybe Laurie (Halloween) and Lydia (Beetlejuice)... and Robert8, I agree... that's why I phrased it "if TLG insists." I liked the Simpsons, but would have preferred them released along with the normal series. I also skipped the TLM series with the exception of a few interesting figures (I did not "collect" them the way I've done other series). Those two were not numbered series, though. Perhaps they should call S14 something else, like Halloween Series or something.

    When this contest was announced, I was really bummed out, as most of my minifigs are a long ways away from me, and I didn't think there was any way I would be able to enter. Eventually, I decided I would make a few figures anyway, just for fun. However, it was way too much fun, and I decided to BrickLink as much as possible (right before Christmas) to make it work. I really wanted to use flesh figures, but thought that yellow-toned stayed true to the CMF line. I also tried to keep the names generic, and the descriptions basic, as that to me is the spirit of the CMF line, as it allows the collector to be more creative with the figures and how they are used. I also tried to take advice others gave me on my last build, that I need to use a better background and/or edit the background. I edited the photo of the overall shot to try and get a feel for it, but I think I need to find some tutorials on how to do it better, as it took WAY too many hours for one picture. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Criticism and comments are always welcome. Avalonia Vineyard Worker Works in a Vineyard, picking fruit. Always gives each tree a hug after. Albion Heavy Guard Only deployed for the most serious of threats. Assassin A master of disguises. No one would ever suspect a beautiful Avalonian Lady of being an assassin. Flag Bearer Has the great honor of carrying Avalonia's colors during battle. Nocturnus Headsman Some say Nocturnus uses Headsman for as small a crime as petty thievery. Gaoler One of several reasons to avoid imprisonment in Nocturnus. Pumpkin gruel is another. Butcher Because Nocturnus is Vegan free! And any kind of meat is fair game. Warlock Prince Can be killed by no mortal man. Mitgardia Border Sentry The most dedicated snowflake counter you'll find. Housewife Do: Compliment her beard. Do NOT: Mistake her for a man. Drummer Leads troops into battle (and the occasional dance). Deer Suit Guy Hunter Years of experience have taught him that with a proper disguise, the deer come right to him. Kaliphlin Dark Mage Expelled from the University for practicing forbidden magic. Princess Not an actual princess. Only thinks she is one because that's what Daddy calls her. Sell-Sword Protects whoever pays the most! Caravan Driver Rides his camel all over Historica if there's trade to be done.

Some are very old and obviously completely out of date - it makes perusing the thread worthless when most of the posts haven't been updated in years. His latest ballista model is shown here in front of him. Well, you know how life is in Mitgardia, especially in winter. So this young maiden has got work to do. Sometimes husbands return late from the pub. Sometimes the wife is waiting. A member of the City Guard of Brun's Fall. Wearing gloves against the Mitgardian bad weather. He does not look too happy. Maybe somebody is waiting for him... Avalonia: The Dragon-Tamer has a hard job. If he's lucky the dragon can be fed by carrots. If not... The Rogue: Don't trust him. The Scissor Grinder is a traveling man. Good, when he is around. The (human) Sentinel is keeping his eyes open. Nocturnus: The Drow Sentinel: A much-feared strangely-hatted warrior. His eyes are also open (but red). The Mage is always trying to figure out what this spell scroll is about... The Dark Crossbow Archer rarely misses. Kaliphlin: The Pastry Cook: Want some? Maybe the Duke wants some pastry. However, currently he is happy with some honey he has received. Maybe coming from Mitgardia. The Juggler can be seen in Kaliphlin at times. Some days are good, some aren't... Excellent mushrooms can be found all over Kaliphlin. I am looking forward to your comments! Even though there are past recent releases of the LEGO Minifigures namely the LEGO Movie and the LEGO Simpsons. Both of these series are irrelevant of the structured release of the usual LEGO Collectable Minifigures release where the previous two series are based on a single spin-off or licensed. Before I begin this pictorial review, I will like to give my very most sincere thank you and appreciation to The LEGO Group (TLG) which consist of LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team for continuing to facilitate and giving me this very exclusive precious rare opportunity to access to this 'very early' insight before many others could, in order for me to have adequate spare time to work, evaluate and review this absolute amazing newly minted LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12. I am really thankful and I can't believe I have actually completed 14 exhaustive LEGO Pictorial reviews including this review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past four years. The most highly anticipated of the incredible new LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series (CMFs) is slated for worldwide release on the 1st October 2014 or 1st November 2014. This is just a superb outstanding piece of achievement for this very special LEGO Minifigures Theme, where it has now successfully clocked a total release of three series in the year of 2014. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team has once more, outdo themselves by able to amaze and stun us with 16 more new integrative and unique minifigures' designs. I am really very pleased to see the traditional and original design. Honestly, I am quite sick of the recent past two releases and it is awesome to be back to stick with this traditional Series and this time, it is known as Series 12 and not supposedly 'Series 14'. These minifigure series are classified under LEGO Minifigures Theme, even though I have always causally used LEGO Collectable Minifigures Theme loosely. Please do note that the naming that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12. So, there is absolute no doubt or misinterpretation on the naming used. Front view comparison with Series 12 and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 11, LEGO Movie and Simpsons packets By placing all of these minifigures packets altogether, you could see a distinct correlation of how it has evolved from LEGO CMFs Series 1 to the very new LEGO Simpsons Series, and to the current Series 12. Isn't it wonderful to be able to glance these different packets' design and it is pretty much standardised as well from one another. Take a closer look at these following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 packet, while this shows the back view of it. While, this is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. This is the 'same' golden rule, which has been mentioned in my previous reviews. If you are intending to narrow the precious and hard-to-find minifigures that you are bending to collect, please continue to hone the touch and feel method. It is an useful skill set to acquire and locate the minifigures that you want without wasting additional money to randomly acquire them especially when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories that appeared for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs away and feel for other parts. The only disadvantage of this method is much idle time will be most likely wasted if the minifigures that you are seeking for does not exist in the box or ending up having sore numb thumbs after feeling. However, I personally feel that this approach is the most practical that works the best for me than any other uncommon approaches. Placing Series 1 and Series 12 packets side by side To be honest, there is a very slight yellow differentiation from one another. From a layman point of view, it is just 'yellow' and it appear to rewind itself back to the first colour schema of Series 1 to mark the cycle of 12 series altogether. I just find it very fascinating to be able to reminisce the old colour of Series 1 packaging in year 2010. Meanwhile, the official LEGO Minifigures Online "Beta" can be found here. 1) The wise Wizard The featured grey bearded old man appear to be an actual wise Wizard in the reclaims of dragons and medieval age. It is not the first time that TLG have introduced the line of Wizards. By doing a simple search, you will find many different types of Wizards available and one of the most iconic and classic Dragon Masters faction, Majisto the Wizard in 1995. Ever since, we have seen numerous recent appearances of Wizards playing a much significant role in the LEGO Castle Themes. I personally felt the wise Wizard is to pay homage to the classic Majisto the Wizard. In some ways, the entire blue colour schema, bearded look and overall appearance, it does give a warm, new and classical feeling about having him in the forces of good against the evil. Based on the overall design, this Wizard is much majestic and grand looking. He also seems to be specialised in astronomy with its starry design. This is one of the most iconic minifigure that I am looking forward to. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Wizard is excellent. It comes with a wide variety of accessories, namely the components to make up his magic staff with the blue gem crowned on the top. The wizard cape is a two tier cloth which illustrates the stars and the moons at the back view. It is quite glitter to some extent and the material used seem quite different as well. It is much softer in texture. You can also see the Wizard's true appearance without the beard on. The wizard hat, from the side view, is a brand new element and it is a great new piece of accessory to have especially the typical wizard hat has been reused again and again. School of Magic Wizardry Companions Face the might of my magic I have come for the legendary Blue Wizard's assistance 2) The fierce Hun Warrior The fierce Hun Warrior has a reputation of being a barbaric nomadic tribe that will stop at nothing to achieve domination over others. The Hun warrior does not know the feeling of fear and will stop at nothing to eliminate their foes. I am pretty certain that either the Hun Warrior is part of the Hun Empire or Attila, in general. It has an intimidating warring outfit, which equipped him with long sword and wooden shield. It can also be adjusted and modified slightly since this minifigure has some oriental features in it. This is certainly one of the most welcoming minifigure for army builders and history fans. With this released minifigure, I will be looking forward to an expansion of MOCs towards such theme. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent and is highly welcomed by castle lovers. The weapons assortment including the grey long sword, new wooden printed round shield, bronze horned helmet which could be modified by removing the horns away and a long brown fur cape, as seen from the back view which has appeared for the very first time. This is a worthy army building minifigure which could be extended to customise for oriental armies for the warring states. The torso and leg are very useful to assemble and use for generic Asian soldiers which is not typically seen in such colours. You can typically break all of the minifigure elements apart and store them for creation of oriental looking soldiers for your future project. You can see more of the details through the side view. As the Hun Warrior is a specialised horseman, I ought to mount him on a brown horse for that purpose. The mighty Hun Warriors Who is stronger? Historic Warriors 3) The lovely Fairytale Princess The lovely Fairytale Princess is indeed the kind of fictitious character where you are able to see it from fairytale storybooks. So, next time when you are telling bedtime stories to your children, you will definitely need this minifigure to enact the story flow. Seriously, I am very pleased to be able to see such minifigure design appear which is suitable for castle and medieval usage. You can use it for saving the damsel in distress or a heroic knight to the rescue. It is endless imagination. Parts assortment The parts assortment are pretty good. The entire outfit is done in lavender colour which is a very uncommon colour used onto minifigures. You are able to get a nice new hairpiece which is a combination of the tall cone hat and long tied hair, as you can seen from the back view. I am much surprised of the inclusion of the other facial feature which portray a sleepy and yet kind of eager look. Not forgetting to mention that there is a adorable green frog attached to the princess. My wife, Belun love this character very much, not because of the Princess but more love for the green frog instead as she is a huge fan of this particular LEGO element. Shall we open a frog farm? Princesses and their frogs Royal Princess escort How can I wake her up? 4) The unbeatable Video Game Guy The unbeatable Video Game Guy is unbelievable. I can never expect such a minifigure appeared as the form of a LEGO minifigure design. I find it very nice of the designers to actually include a video game enthusiast. I love to play video games very much when I was a teenager and seeing a bespectacled guy holding the game control pad does make it memorable for me. I am sure this minifigure is a welcoming addition to the City minifigure population and hopefully, seeing a gamers' craze as well. Parts assortment The parts assortment is decent and in particular, the Video Game Guy's attire is rather cool looking with its black long sleeve shirt with grey colour at the lower half that imprint 'Player 1', on the centre of the shirt. The minifigure torso manage to utilise the two colour print tone, as seen in the side view that meant to represent the second colour tone, which is the long sleeve shirt in grey colour near the hands. It also come with a dedicated headphones. Music and Games High School Friends Focusing on my RPG game 5) The mythical Battle Goddess The mythical Battle Goddess is one of the minifigure that I look forward the most. Not only because it has similar resemblance to represent the Greek Mythology reference. Truly astounding, to have this powerful Battle Goddess gracing her presence in this series. She wield a long pointy spear and a rounded shield that has the Pegasus (winged horse) picture, imprinted onto it. I could guess that this Battle Goddess seem to represent Athena. She is a Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare and strategy. Nonetheless, I am extremely thrilled by her presence. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. It come with a long spear, round printed shield with the Pegasus print on it, white skirting and pearl gold helmet with yellowed long curl hair. You can see the full magnificence of of the Battle Goddess in this close up view. There is printing on her armband but do note that the armband does not encompass on her entire wrist. The print only cover up to 50% of it. There is back printing at the back. All in all, it can also be easily modified for other types of battle goddess which is quite generic in nature. I am still amazed with the tons of pearl gold detail on the minifigure itself. Legendary Female Battle Warriors We seek your goddess help 6) The dauntless Space Miner The dauntless Space Miner will not easily give up for the harvest of precious resources to build up the technology of the Classic Space Defenders. He is fully equipped and ready and I wonder if his name is called Licho. This is one of the method, where the designer will sneak in something interesting onto their designs. The colour schema is nicely crafted with a combination of grey and orange to represent the mining specialisation in deep space. The Space Miners venture into dangerous terrains to harvest precious resources to build up the capabilities of the Classic Space Defenders. Parts assortment The parts assortment is good which allow the Space Miner to focus on building up the capabilities of mining resources in deep space. It comes with the orange power drill, armour suit which I am very fond of seeing it appears in the CMFs and mining helmet with visor. You can see many of the details of theSpace Miner in this close up view. By removing the mining helmet, you can see Space Miner facial feature clearly. The insignia of the Classic Space, as seen from the side view, is another huge reason why this minifigure is welcoming to my collection. The Classic Space insignia is the proof that the designers want us to group and integrate many of the previously affiliated Classic Space minifigures in the LEGO CMFs as one umbrella. Actually, if you can do some simple modifications, this minifigure can be more than just a miner and could double up as a Galaxy Patrol. My duty is to protect your safety Classic Space Defenders Expansion of the Classic Space Defenders 7) The suave Lifeguard Ohhh! The suave Lifeguard is finally in town. Catch that hunk at the beach, doing his duty with his gorgeous partner. The dynamic duo will do their best to ensure safety coverage for all beach patrons in the LEGO City. I am very pleased to be able to see a male counterpart for the lifeguard scene since we first saw the female lifeguard in 2010. It certainly took them long enough to take care of her. Either way, I am very pleased to see his appearance. Parts assortment The parts assortment is decent and the inclusion of the binoculars and the burnside buoy which will aid his rescue. I like his wavy looking hairstyle and the nice colour shades on his face. The muscular tone body will also serve to be useful for minifigures' customisation, not restricting it to lifeguard occupation. By taking a closer view of the Lifeguard, you may notice on his legs that there is an initials, 'J.T' on it which is similar to the previous female lifeguard, with 'G.T'. It is certainly used to hint some sort of relations somewhere somehow. You can also notice from his side view of the red printed shorts. Beach Lifeguards Duo Watching out the safety of the beach patrons 8) The successful Prospector Look who is in town? It is none other but the successful Prospector. He must have struck big. The Prospector is someone who explored an area for mineral deposits such as gold, silver ores, oil, etc. He will bring his iron picket and whack the ground in search of such deposits. He may look like a grumpy old fellow but if you look carefully, he may have struck 'gold' afterall especially if you have taken a careful look at his teeth. Parts assortment The parts assortment is average. The best feature of this Prospector is actually his worn torn brown hat, and it is more visible by seeing it from the side view. It is rather nifty to some extent. You can also view the rest of his accessories added together in this close up view. All in all, it is a good minifigure if you are in the Wild West Theme, which is much suitable for such settings. Wild Wild West 9) The humourous Jester What will probably happen when a humourous Jester appear in the royal court? It will either be a burst of laughter or total disaster. Which will be the case, and it is up to us to decide the story. Since the first introduction of the Jester in 2008, I have been enjoying the usage of different type of Jesters including the 7953 Court Jester to crack some humourous acts to entertain the royal family, which is most probably the viable entertainment in the medieval ages. In this case, the re-introduction of the Jester is a pleasant surprise with a very distinct colour combination of orange and purple. Such usage of these bright colours are definitely bound to attract audience. Parts assortment The parts assortment are very good. The design of the Jester are highly detailed, as you can see in this close up view and in this view as well. What totally amaze me, is the superb lovely LEGO printed tiles - Playing Cards design. It is brilliant to be able to the Jester holding these cards to entertain the audiences. Who is funnier? Let me entertain you 10) The fearsome Dino Tracker In the recent years, LEGO has explored the Dinosaurs Theme through Dino 2010/Dino Attack in 2005 and Dino in 2012 as a full pledged LEGO System sets play themes. It is a pleasant surprise for me to actually see a female Dino Tracker as a warrior equivalent. She will track all sorts of Dinosaurs such as the Coelophysis, Raptor, T-Rex, etc; in her bingo book and lock them down before transporting them to the quarantine area for processing. Do not mess with her sophisticated black bow and tranquillizer syringe. Parts assortment The parts assortment are pretty good. I find it quite a surprise to see a Hawkeye exclusive weapon being used in the Dino Tracker choice of weapon. The torso of the Dino Tracker is very suitable for military or jungle warfare customisation related, as seen in this close up view. From the side view, it is visible to see the new two tone printed colours on the arms that illustrates the short sleeves. To round it up, the Dino Tracker also have a nice back printing to make it a much better torso for military related usages. Don't shoot us! Let's get that dino! Bring this dino into the cage? 11) The punctual Pizza Delivery Guy Many of the City fans are very glad to be able to see a new design of this Pizza Delivery Guy. He is like a typical teenager, working part-time as a Pizza Delivery Guy. His appearance is pretty kiddish looking with the freckles and braces on his face. That is quite some amount of printing details in there. I can still recall one of my favourite Classic Town set, known as the 6350 Pizza-To-Go, where the delivery guy works for this famous "Pizzeria". Well, for this new outlet known as "Pizza", is very much similar and hopefully attract more pizza lovers within the City. Parts assortment The parts assortment is above average. You are able to get two new exclusive prints of the supposedly pepperoni pizza and a pizza box, as seen held by the Pizza Delivery Guy. The torso is filled with nice details including the two tone printing of green and yellow. His green polo tee-shirt also revealed some slight grease near the bottom of his shirt. Even the red cap, is consistent with the corporate image of the brand, "Pizza". This is not the pizza that I have ordered LEGO Food and Beverage Industry Check out this new Pizza outlet 12) The cool Rock Star It is a sweet surprise for musical fans who are into rock genre. He is the upcoming shining cool Rock Star that will woo the hearts of many. The Rock Star entire outfit is just brilliant with his jet black gloss looking facade. With his confident and charismatic look, he will rock the stage with many rock hits. I could certainly imagine placing him with the other fellow Rock Stars, Singers and Performance Artists. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The main attraction for his accessory could be his scarlet electric guitar which is his priceless crown jewel for his performance. His entire rock studded leather outfit is highly detailed, as you can see in this close up view, plus his physical appearance is much mature looking with the unexpected inclusion of the chest hair. You can see more of his printing details from the side view. His back view kind of portray a cool stoic looking. All in all, I am pleased with the overall design. Age of Rock Music Blue meets Rock Smashing Hits 13) The heroic Swashbuckler On guard! Oh well, this isn't supposed to be a Musketeer equivalent. Instead, this heroic Swashbuckler is probably appeared in the 16th century and has been coined as a term for pirates and swordsmen ever since. A possible inference of the origin of "Swashbuckler" is that it may develop from a form of fighting style by utilising a cutlass or short sword with a buckler in the off-hand, which was applied with much "swashing and making a noise on the buckler". It is generally describes as a protagonist who is heroic and idealistic to the bone and who rescues damsels in distress. His opponent is typically characterised as the dastardly villain. Swashbuckler normally combine outstanding courage, sword-fighting skill, resourcefulness, chivalry and a distinctive sense of honour and justice traits. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly below average. It is rather similar with the Musketeers design template. It only come with a different colour of the hat in brown colour and pearl gold rapier. Not really very fantastic, and I much prefer the torso which I can apply it onto the Pirates settings. Heroic Deeds You will not escape me once more 14) The adorable Piggy Guy The person in the Piggy suit is just simply too adorable. At first, I really thought that the person in the mascot is a female until I found out the official name for it. It turn out to be a Piggy Guy. His facial appearance made him look very approachable and friendly. I am very elated to see the furry mascots expanded to include a new member in the animal furry series. The pig detail is spot-on and is easily recognisable as well. I am very confident that this minifigure will be very popular with children and even adults, in this case. Parts assortment The parts assortment is average and the main focus is the outline of the Piggy Guy, as you can see in this close up view. As seen from the side view, the head reveal the pig's ears and eyes. Even from his back printing, where there is a nice pig tail. In this piggy suit, there is no zip at the back which allow the person to wear it on. I believe the guy could just have to make do and slot himself into the suit directly. Our furry animals get a new addition Oink Oink!!! 15) The mysterious Genie Girl The appearance of the mysterious Genie Girl, perhaps will be a mystery of her true origin. It is a wonder to be able to finally see a female counterpart of a Genie since we have last seen this Genie. I am very pleased to see a human which is not quite fully human, instead her upper half of her body is made up of human composition while the bottom half is much mythical or genie composition. Thus, it is really very nice to see this design appearing again in a different light. The first time that I saw this character, it kind of remind me of an American sitcom in the 1960s, known as I dream of Jeannie. Somehow or another, it gave such a flavour by associating with it. Parts assortment The parts assortment are not too bad including the placement of the genie lamp where she probably resides or being trapped in. Her minifigure parts are very versatile which will allow a simple change of genie bottom half to a walking pair of legs. You will be getting something of an exotic dancer or an attractive female with her long tied straight yellow hair. Do note that the Genie Girl has back printing as well. Meet Miss Genie! Emmet, I will grant you '3' wishes! Storybook Characters 16) The silent Spooky Girl She is certainly one of my favourite female characters in this LEGO CMFs Series 12. It seem like they are saving the best for the last. Firstly, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the designers have actually able to design such a character. Well, to put it simply, she is the silent Spooky Girl. She has the Gothic appearance with a little bit of creepiness, as you can see from her attire where the spider seem to be creeping out of her pocket. I really felt that she could be much suitable as a resident within the Monster Fighters Theme. It is just unbelievable to have such an incredible and real-like design within the LEGO CMFs Series, where I don't think we can ever see it elsewhere apart from here. Personally, this minifigure is the kind where you either like it or hate it. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. The dark grey skirting is a nice detailed touch which surrounds her body. The spooky teddy bear in black and white, is rather unique with the eyes. I really wonder what did the girl do to the precious teddy bear. You can see her closely holding onto the teddy bear. Anyway, who doesn't like a new teddy bear variations? We are having a steady increase of different type of teddy bear designs where it may just be enough to open a teddy bear store through the cumulative efforts of the LEGO CMFs releases. It means I will have 12 remaining random spares left. Read down to find out what are the remaining spares I have. Buying one full complete MISB box will allow you to achieve three maximum complete unique sets. Ever since the LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons have miraculously returned with a three complete sets, the LEGO CMFs Series 12 has continued the best ideal situation of having three full sets in a box of 60. I am certainly pleased that it continues to cater for such configuration as the LEGO CMFs evolved in each new releases. I felt the appeal of the minifigures are taken into best and ideal situation out of their considerations and limitations. The lesser appeal of the minifigures such as the Prospector, Jester, Genie Girl, Lifeguard do not need to have many identical minifigures around and is suitable for the distribution ratio of three. However, it is best if the Hun Warrior can be given a distribution ratio of five and the Princess to have a higher distribution ratio other than three. In the case of the distribution ratio of four, I am very pleased to see the Wizard, Battle Goddess, Piggy Guy and Dino Tracker to be given such ratio since these could be potential army building minifigures. I certainly do not mind if the Rock Star or Pizza Delivery Guy to be given a lower ratio in order to give it to other highly desired minifigures. As for the distribution ratio of five, I am neutral with the choice given, even though I really hope it can give the quota from the distribution ratio of four. Well, I can certainly see that many popular minifigures that could be potential army building. What do you think? All in all, I think they did a pretty good job in this distribution allocation. It is no easy feat to be able to introduce many creative and original designs to appeal to the masses. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme is an unique commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme or special releases. Instead, everything that you have seen in a single released series is all based on the 16 minifigures to reach out to fans, children, adults and collectors of LEGO. It has been a very long tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today. I will like to point out something and bring to your attention. The quality of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series is certainly made up of high quality ABS plastic which we are very familiar with, in the print aspect with a slight matt feeling. However, I will like to highlight that I do not see any marked indent at the armpit of the minifigures which we will normally associate the production to somewhere in Mainland China, similar to the LEGO Simpsons Minifigures phenomenon. In fact, the entire production for this series is purely carried out in Mainland, China as indicated in the back of the packet. All in all, I personally find the quality to be on-par with the high standards of the regular LEGO minifigures. I don't really understand if the removal of the marked indent is intentional or something could have improved or change at the end of the production process. Nothing can be certain and it could be just my pure wild conjecture. Now with a total of 224 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 11, the recent LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series and the current LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it and the special exclusive Toy Soldier minifigure that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encylopedia. This entire LEGO Minifigures theme had truly evolved and transformed to a brand new endless dimension which I strongly believe will continue to marvel all of us with their future releases, in time to come. With this LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 in the releasing pipeline, I can't help but to contemplate what does TLG have install for us in the near future. Only time will tell. Please note that the The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (More new LEGO Collectable Minifigures integration across many new and existing themes/settings.) Design: 8.5/10 (Good detailed prints of the two tone printing at the arms to increase the detail and limited new LEGO minifigures' parts and accessories and rehash of existing parts in different colour.) Price: 7.5/10 (I believe pricing will remain the same for Singapore, but I have understand that the prices have went up for other regions and if that is true, this will definitely go lower by a notch.) Overall: 8/10 (Another high scoring for the LEGO CMFs which it is definitely worth buying and collecting these new minifigures.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? Mitgardia: Name: Mitgardian Bodyguard - There are all sorts of nasty surprises waiting for traders venturing through Mitgardia. Everything from Yeti, to Ice-Dragons, to angry, bearded women. Most traders hire the services of a bodyguard who knows the lay of the land. This bodyguard favors the tri-headed axe. While not the most practical of weapons, it is fearsome and can scare away the more timid of assailants who don't want three of their limbs chopped off at the same time. Name: Bird-Of-Prey Trainer - Many trainers favor hawks as their pet/hunting weapon. She, however, likes to use the Snowy Owl for blending in with the many miles of snow found in Mitgardia. Many a rabbit, and unwanted suitor, has found themselves at the receiving end of this owl's sharp talons. Name: Dwarven Smith - Everyone knows that dwarves make the best weapons and armor. Whether you are about to go into battle against the Drow, or are just needing your sickle sharpened, visit this dwarf for the best results in all of Mitgardia. Name: Beer Seller - A trip through Mitgardia is not complete without at least one visit to the many taverns, pubs, and bars throughout the land. This merchant will sell you a keg or just a mug of the finest brewed beers, ales, or other strong drinks Mitgardia is so well known for. Avalonia: Name: Bagpiper - Throughout the highlands of Avalonia the drone of the bagpipe can be heard at all hours of the day, or night if the mood strikes him. A favorite at both parties and funerals, this bagpiper is always busy playing his tunes for the many inhabitants of Avalonia. Name: Avalonian Knight - There are many land-owners throughout Avalonia and with land comes the need to protect it. That's why this knight is never wanting for work. He has been hired by many of the lords throughout his lifetime. And while he may look old, his experience at the job makes him more than qualified to still defend the land. Name: Lady-In-Waiting - Many of the lords of Avalonia have ladies, and those ladies need someone to help them into their corsets. These ladies-in-waiting are skilled in all aspects of dressing, make-up, and manners. Name: Squire - All the knights in Avalonia need squires to help them keep their armor looking shining and their horses well fed and groomed. This squire can saddle a horse almost as fast as he can volunteer to practice his sword skills. Nocturnus: Name: Vampire Host - Nocturnus is home to many famous vampires. Some of them are out to turn you into one of them, but many are delightful hosts of any travelers daring enough to knock on their door. Blood Wine anyone? Name: Orc Ambassador - Nocturnus has embassies established in the other guilds of Historica. This requires some of the inhabitants to volunteer to be ambassadors to the other guilds. While this orc may have a face only his mother could love, he tries to make up for it with tasteful attire so that he can do his job well. Name: Morroval Warrior - Many fearsome races inhabit Nocturnus. The Morroval are a cross between vampires and harpies and are excellent fighters. They are a matriarchal society and often sacrifice their men after they have served their use in furthering the race. You would not want to meet this Morroval in any part of Nocturnus for she is more likely to kill you than greet you. Name: Vincent - Not all the inhabitants of Nocturnus are werewolves and minotaurs, but almost all of them have some darkness in their past. Vincent is one such person. He seeks vengeance against those who have wronged him, though he doesn't like to talk about what happened to make him so vengeful. In fact, he doesn't talk much at all, but his Limit Break attack is fearsome to behold. Kaliphlin: Name: Kaliphlinian Scholar - Kaliphlinians are proud of their university and the scholars it produces. This scholar will debate you on whether he should be known as a Kaliphlinian or a Kaliphlinite. He also specializes in knowing the layout of all the major cities in Historica. He can't draw up the maps, he leaves that to the cartographers, but he can recite all the details on square-footage and sewer layout on any city you name. Name: Oasis Guard - Wherever there is water in Kaliphlin there can be found some semblance of civilization. And wherever there is civilization there are guards to be found. Some guard the merchants, some guard the travelers, and some guard the best watering spots at the oasis. Name: Desert Farmer - Farming in Kaliphlin is hard work. It is only by the sweat of his brow that this farmer ekes some vegetables out of the harsh land. He carries seeds to plant in his bag and a mat on his back to layout over the sand when it's time for a lunch break. Name: Music-Box Monkey Man - Not all Kaliphlinians are scholars, farmers, or guards; some of them choose to entertain instead. This man plays a whimsical tune on his music-box while his pet monkey's antics brings smiles to those passing by. Just keep an eye your purse while you're watching this duo. Monkeys can be trained to cut purses and not all entertainers in Kaliphlin are satisfied with the coins donated to them.

  24. Hi everyone! After some very kind words from users here in regards to my large black (but a bit boring) CMF Display Stand (HERE), I wanted to share with you the display stand I made for the LEGO Movie CMF figures. There was no question for me that the Movie minifigures should get their own stand, since they are not part of the main CMF lineup (remember when these were rumoured to be Series 12?). So with that in mind, I had decide on how to display them. Using the amazing LEGO Movie logo was a no-brainer! The 'THE' is my favourite part of the logo! The logo is a separate unit to the minifigure stands and looks really effective as a MOC when displayed on its own. The yellow and black tiles that you can see at the front and back of the logo are part of a support plate structure that prevents the logo from overbalancing and tipping forward or backwards. The logo was the easy bit compared to the rest of this MOC. I had a lot of trouble thinking of a way to display the Minifigures around the logo and what I kept coming back to was the 'construction' theme of the movie and of the posters in particular. So with that in mind, I went with the idea of scaffolding and made a kind of scaffolding framework that would stand underneath the logo and curl around it. The scaffolding uses 304 of the 'Light Sword / Wand' parts in light bluish gray. Getting each of the eight stands to be identical in size and shape required very careful and precise use of a pair of pliers (suitably padded) to insert each wand to the correct depth. Pushing one wand in too deep or not enough would alter the shape of the individual stand. I learnt this early on when my second stand was a different size to my first. I had to scrap them both and start again, using a larger frame made of plates that fit around the stand, making sure the insertion depth was consistent between stands. As I did on my previous CMF stand, I printed out custom stickers with the character's name and applied them to 1x4 white tiles to act as nameplates. Thanks for looking! Obviously a lot of characters are missing, but that happens when you have a cast of secondary and background characters that numbers in the HUNDREDS at this point. Everyone who is a fan has their "Aww why didn't they include [name of your favorite character]?" Ok, so, let's say this line sells really, really well and LEGO decides to do a second CMF series. What sixteen characters do YOU want to see in it? Here's my realistic wish list. 'Realistic' because from a business standpoint LEGO will want to include new variations of the core family members (and re-use their molds) so the line wouldn't be ALL background characters. I mean, I'd personally love a line of nothing but background characters, but your average consumer is going to want to buy characters they are familiar with, so more Barts, Homers, Marges, and Lisas. Left off Maggie since I think we've seen her two basic variations in the show already. 1. Bartman w/ cape and comic book tile or slingshot 2. Homer in his underwear and drool face w/ either can of Buzz Cola (no Duff ever in LEGO form, sadly), can of Gum & Nuts, or can of cat ear medication 3. Lisa in church clothes (couldn't think of a better Lisa variation, feel free to suggest one) 4. Marge in church clothes (again, couldn't think of a better variation, feel free to suggest one) 5. Comic Book Guy w/ comic book tile 6. Moe 7. Snake w/ gun and money bag 8. Cletus 9. Moleman w/ cane 10. Smithers 11. Willie w/ rake 12. Sideshow Bob w/ knife (or rake) 13. Dr. Hibbert w/ syringe and x-ray tile (or in a world without copyright issues: a MASH coloring book). 14. Sherri/Terri (would need to buy two of the same fig to complete the set) 15. Kang/Kodos w/ How to Cook For Humans book and ray gun 16. Bumblebee Man w/ small dog And who would have made the list if the four family members weren't on it: 1. Lenny 2. Carl 3. Mrs. Krabappel w/ test tile (Bart's from the episode "Bart Gets an F") 4. Martin Wildcard option: - Poochie w/ surfboard. Because it would be beyond funny if LEGO wasted a spot on him and fit the sarcastic humor of the show. It was tough narrowing it down and a lot of characters STILL got left on the cutting room floor. Honestly they could do ten series and there would still be characters left out. So, what would your hypothetical series 2 look like?
