    MOC - Modular Car

Hello everyone! Today I decided to give you a revolutionary idea in LEGO the automotive industry. This is a modular vehicle, its function in that it can from one base to make a few variations of body and lining. Look! Versions: Sedan Station Wagon Hatch Coupe The version number is limited only by your imagination. Limo, Pickup, Van, Hearse, caravan, Taxi, Police car, etc. Ð’e creative, I only will be glad! Here is a link to the .lxf file. Comments and criticism are welcome.
  2. Here is my work in progress entry for [TC7]. Normal Mode: Bandit Mode: Story: The bandits were looking to develop a new vehicle utilizing a new engine prototype that allowed for huge amounts of torque and speed. This new vehicle, named Firehawk, would be lightweight and fast built for those missions that required the bandits to get in and out of a situation quickly. This new photon rotary engine pushes the limits on speed allowing the Firehawk to outrun pretty much everything of the known enforcers line of vehicles. Unfortunately, to keep the weight down, the Firehawk is not loaded down with big weapons, but just some basic weapons to get the job done. Naturally, a sports car body would be the normal mode powered by a conventional V12 piston engine, with the ability to transform into a supersonic plane powered by the photon rotary engine. Normal mode features: - Fully Independent Suspension. - Working Front Steering Using Steering Wheel. - Working V12 Powering Rear Wheels, with differential. - Special Gearbox/Transmission That Couples Two Separate Engines To Rear Wheels. - 3 Forward Gears + Reverse For The V12 - 2 High Speed Forward Gears For The Photon Rotary Engine (Car Mode When Transformed). - Working Headlights - Working Doors Bandit Mode (Still working on this) - Transform To Plane - Doors Turn Into Main Wings (Manual) - Rear Air Intake Into Rear Wings (Manual) - Photon Rotary Engine Extends, Lights Rotate With Wheels (Pneumatic Switch On Dash) - 2 Front Large Caliber Guns (Hidden Behind Headlights That Manually Fold Down) - 2 Rear Mini Missile Launchers (Launch Via Pneumatic Switch On Dash) Other: - Pneumatics powered by manual pump and air tank. - Front Headlights Powered By 9v Battery Box. - Photon Rotary Engine Light Powered By 9v Battery Box. I'm still tweaking a few things on this model yet, but wanted to share to gather any additional insights to potentially make it better prior to the contest deadline. Once I get the tweaks complete, I will shoot and post a video.
  3. As a kid who grew up in the 80's with all of the coolest toys including the awesome M.A.S.K. line, I had always wanted to do a legit M.A.S.K. style vehicle in Technic.. I did a car back in 2009, but it wasn't very good as I was still learning how to build... When Jim announced this new contest, I decided to try my hand at a similar sized scale car(I guess around 1:18 scale) to the original vintage M.A.S.K. vehicles.. I already had the style of car in my head to go along with the name.. This model is not for the contest, but instead to test myself with something new and possibly to inspire everyone still competing during this final week... I have been sitting on a dozen of these Technic parts for about 4 years trying to figure out what to do with them And I finally got the chance to use 4 of them in an interesting way.. I may use these as some type of air intakes in a future super car... Since the model was an Enforcer and would be primarily black, I knew that it would be tough to make a really interesting looking vehicle being limited with only a black and white color palette, luckily I got to absolutely abuse this part which worked out quite nicely.. The vehicle's 4 wheels fold down by turning a small knob in the rear and both of the doors also go up at the same time to act as wings while revealing 4 small Flick Fire missiles ready to blow up the nearest bad guy... The rear spoiler pulls outwards and upwards while dropping the rear valance at the same time to expose defensive dual smoke screen blasters to blind any pursuers... The front machine guns pop out by sliding a lever forward between the seats and retracts by sliding it back.. I made use of this part to lock the guns into and out of place... The car doesn't have any steering, suspension, gearbox, or fake engine(well it does have a fake engine style cover). The wheels roll, but that is about it as I wanted to actually build something just like what I used to play wiht back in the 80's.. Anyways, here it is, The Shuriken Brickshelf Link
  4. Invalid? Yes. It doesn't transform into different vehicle. It just transforms littlebit. As i made, i'll show it. As it gets higher, also shooters appear Two on top Two next to wheels One for back protection between wheels (also acts as knob for transformation)

  9. All, After 5 weeks of work and some sneak peeks on my WIP forum item, I finished my Lego Technic MOC of a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz 1959 Convertible. The goal for this model was to squeuze as much as original details in this model as I could, and stay as close to the original design, incuding all the detailing of the chrome parts like the grill and striping on bonnet and sides. It resulted in a heavy usage of half-beams to get these details in. The model is RC controlled, with functioning steering wheel, running V8 engine, opening door with locks, opening bonnet and trunk, independent suspension on both axis and LED lights on both front and backside. It weighs about 2.4 kg and the dimensions are 68x25x16 studs (55 cm long) Update 23-05-2015 Instructions are now available on Rebrickable: http://www.rebrickab...o-biarritz-1959 For more pictures take a look at my Bricksafe page: I hope you like it. I do plan to make instructions for the model, but that will take some time. I will post it here if I have completed them and they are posted on Rebrickable. Be sure to also check out my other Lego Technic instructions on Rebrickable Martijn

    Lego Street Racer

I think this is the right forum to post it at.. I have build a 6 wheel sport/race car. 6 wide, front spoiler 8 wide. Description : this V8 voice command driven car is all you need for fun on the track! The 4 front wheels give you a great amount of downforce and amazing steering abilities! It has space for to minifigures who would love to race! For pictures this link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/132315528@N04/sets/72157654451150402 Note: i DONT use bb codes just because they freakin don't work when copied on my ipad and the slow connection makes it even impossible to get to flickr on the computer. Is there a way to fix this on the ipad? I'm getting annoyed.
  11. From the Classic Vampire Movie, "The Lost Boys" I've seen this movie at least 50 times and only tonight, I caught this 1 second clip... Of course the fact that I finally watched it in widescreen probably was the reason...
  12. This is my first teaser :3 (I'm so proud of it ) i want to open this thread in order to ask people if they could be interested on my work, so, going to the main topic: I joined a small exhibition here in Rome where I showed four simple RC lego cars, three of them are mine (showed also in only one of my post here on Eurobricks :3) the fourth is the Dawnbreaker and I hope I can film a video for it, so I can add to the original thread a comparison with the other chassis, that are: -green stylized trophy truck -yellow stylized Tyrrell P34 -black stylized hot rod (maybe with driver that make it drift really well muhahaah) "stylized" because I want to build small car and I don't have lots of pieces for the aesthetics, but I guarantee the look nice ;) My problem is that I don't have time to film (for the offroad ones I need a whole saturday free of tasks, so for me isn't a simple work to fully present a MOC) and some times i know that the look of my creations don' catch the attention of lots of people I don't want to make empty topics ;) so i decided to ask how i should organize those "simple chassis series" topics, my idea is: -3 different topic -topic as review of the car -techniques used in the cars -small test video -video with description and some clip running outdoors -a final topic (yes :3) with the video of a tournament between those cars the same kind of LTIR competition The different topic (posted with a gap of 3-4 days) could be a tutorial for people who want to start building something funny with lego, and they will find 4 different cars with 4 different difficulties and 4 different kind of pieces (common or rare); I also want to build LDD file for each car and change the file for the dawnbreaker in a better one. What you think about this organization of the topics? should I post only one topic with all the cars together? Also if videos will be uploaded really late? Also if you want to suggest another kind of chassis that I can make to substitute the dawnbreaker feel free to suggest it, and if you have built a chassis of this kind i can build and review it as one of the chassis but not mine, so we can see which is the best during the race! Goodbye!
  13. Hello, this is the first MOC I'm posting here on Eurobricks, and one of my first since leaving the dark ages. I have a lot of interest in making a microscale town, so I made this little street for practice. Here is an overview. I didn't have enough of either grey tiles to make the streets different from the sidewalks ^^;; An angled view, showing the heights, and the little cars better. Everyone here drives red cars as I only have red jumper plates! A front view. A convenience store to the left, apartment building in the middle, and a two story house to the right. (The house was heavily referenced from this wonderful work: https://flic.kr/p/oUxT3F) If I had more straight grey wall elements I would have put a sidewalk/barrier between the road and the river. The apartment is a bit short/small, but has sliding doors for the front lobby, and two little paved yards. You can see a few more views in the album on Flickr. All three buildings are made on 4x4 plates, the entire MOC is on one 8x16 plate. I am thinking I may continue in this scale, or very slightly larger. I hope you like it, I certainly do!
  14. Hy i just builded this ( http://rebrickable.com/mocs/musenkevin/off-road-crawler ) off-road crawler now i am searching for a buddy for that one. it doesn't has to be fast. i just want one with a low part count.

MOC : Enviro 400, Stagecoach of London

I love double decker bus. There is some Enviro 400 in Hong Kong which is yellow of CITIBUS. When I search photo, I find that there are also popular in UK. So I build one of the Enviro 400 of London. I.E. DennisEnviro 400, Stagecoach of London, a common bus which we often see in London and UK Many thanks to TBB recommend. http://www.brothers-brick.com/2015/05/06/keep-calm-and-use-public-transport-%E2%99%9A/ Many thanks for watching ;)
  16. All, I am trying to build the core structure of a Cadillac Eldorado Biarriz 1959. As it's a convertible the chassis needs to be very strong as I have no roof to support it and the door should open up. So except for the center 3 studs, the chassis can only be 2 studs high, especially in the center where the seat are. I have created a structure that works ok for now, but seems quite "solid" and require a lot of beams. Anybody any ideas on how to make it as stiff as possible while potentially reducing number of parts needed? Top View Update 21-04-2014 The front shape is starting to look like the real thing. Next step the bonnet..... Update 30-04-2015. Bonnet and dashboard are ready, lights and motor wiring all routed to the back, time to model the backside section!! :sweet:

MOC - Carripana - Old Truck

I've been wanting to do some builds different from my usual castle/fantasy tendency, so while I'm waiting a few days for some parts to arrive to do more builds to my LUGs Fantasy display, I decided to make this little truck. This is based on one of many trucks that I saw (and hitchhiked) on my home little town when I was a kid. Mr. Manel da Linda is very annoyed because that little bastard is taking toooo long to cross the road... :) This is my first thing with wheels :) so please bare with me. I must say I had lots of fun building this and definitely want to do MOCs of different themes from now on! Thanks for watching! PS: Carripana is portuguese for "old decaying ugly truck"! ;) Carripana Carripana Carripana

    [MOC] KTM X-Bow

OK, continuing the current trend of building cars intended to give some competition to the up coming Speed Champion cars I've been hard at work on a 6-wide KTM X-Bow. this little speed machine was built to take on the most technical raceways and put out Ferrari level times for a fraction of the cost. Our resident Octane driver liked the car so much he has been begging me for one. so with out further ado here is my latest MOC. EDIT: LDD file added to mocpages entry: LDD KTM X-BOW The X-Bow uses a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0 litre Audi engine which produces 237 hp, in a car weighing only 790kg! This beast can run 0-60mph in a short 3.9 seconds. the slot in the orange body panels is meant to resemble a Crossbow which to takes its name from. and here is our happy new owner! i bet he can't wait to start enjoying this little roadster! Comparison pic with the Endurance racer, which shares a wheel base and height, but overall length is shorter on the KTM (3 whole studs shorter) as always Comments and Critiques are welcomed, hope you liked it!
  21. The original sports car design come in the box is just not my cup of tea. So I try to make one that I would like with the same components in the box. What I have below is my original design which use Ferrari FF as a reference, is not actually looks like the ff, but, it still looks good and I am happy with it. Thanks for watching :-) Please watch review video here : If you would like to build this model, refer to build the instruction video below:

DragRac3r is a really fast dragster with a 3:1 gear ratio powered by two Ev3 Large Motors. The rear tires are compounded for wide, thick rubber. An Infrared Sensor acts as the driver and allows remote-control of the model. Details such as the steering wheel and hands are included. It has massive exhaust pipes and uses unique building techniques (check out the engine bay's angled panels). It has realistic looks and has an aerodynamic exterior. Other details include cooling fins and more. It can also drift via skid steering! Oh, and did I mention custom stickers?
  24. I haven't posted any of my own content recently due to lack of time and ideas, but about a month ago my last attempt at a high speed vehicle was sitting on my desk, partially disassembled, when I got a spark in my mind and I knew exactly what to do. Previously I made multiple failed attempts at making a complex independent suspension work, but I couldn't get a practical result without modifying parts, which I wanted to avoid. So this time around I went for a solid axle with 4 link suspension. I spent a long time building and rebuilding the car until I got a balance of power, weight, and strength that I was happy with. Apart from a couple pieces I forgot to add here and there, this is the final build: I could have gone for lower weight, but the reinforcements were necessary to bring the chassis flex to a minimum, letting the suspension do its job. The car barely bottoms out under full compression, but I doubt this will happen out on the road. The higher clearance and lack of u-joints should reduce the risk of damaging parts. The rear wheels are driven by two buggy motors each, acting as an electronic differential. Since the motors are DC motors, this system will never be perfect, but it's as good as it gets. The only modified lego pieces on this build are the pneumatic cylinders (now act as dampened shocks) and the wheelhubs (made by nicjasno at LPEpower ) The front suspension is independent multilink, my own blend of various ideas I got from nicjasno's Standard servo steering. I lubricated the large ball joints on the upper 'wishbones' to reduce friction. Nice and smooth underside, which also adds to the structural rigidity (note the numerous pins) Another look at the multilink setup in action I've already tested this model on the road, and it performs very well, but I won't be making a video until I receive an order of 4 brand new custom wheel hubs, as the current set have experienced some serious wear and tear over the past year thanks to my punishing tests If you are new or aren't familiar with my previous projects, this chassis is powered by a near 12 volt battery and a 3rd party RC system that I made work with Lego motors. Multiple people have asked why I don't build bodywork for any of these large scale vehicles, and to be honest, I really enjoy building the chassis, while bodywork is...meh. I could get better with practice, but I simply don't want to spend time perfecting a body, and the extra weight would reduce the play factor, unless I become a wizard with flex axles . I think this model is the ultimate balance of speed, moderate realism, and weight, (within my building style) so I don't see myself making anything new soon with my other hobbies and work taking up most of my time. Special thanks to nicjasno for the tips on the front suspension, and for making the LPEpower parts/show. Feel free to leave any comments/criticisms/ideas for a new project. Enjoy!
