    Spanish Armada 14 Gun Brig

[pid]S-PS22-15D[/pid] Here she is! My very first ship in two years. I've had the armada flagship hull laying around since I bought it (only the hull) 2-3 years ago and I finally found the insiration to build something with it. It was a truly challenging build due to how narrow the pre-fab hull is. But I think I where able to pull it of in the end. This also happens to to be my very first Brig, Gallery Hope ya'll like it and have a great day!

    Pirate Brig: The Zephyr

[pid][/pid] 147D The Tournament of Retrebution is over, it's time to lose the uniform and return to piracy But that nice first prize is getting a good spot in my cabin. The cabin of my last latest ship ofcourse, I present you; the Zephyr. A 12 gun pirate brig with a color scheme similar to that of those fancy frigates of Captain Green Hair and Bonaparte Napoleon (see Captain Green Hair's tutorial). The tumblehome technique however is my simplified version like I used before on my previous ships; (the Beauty, Merchant Brig, Barquentine and HMS Intersector). This ship started as an experiment but eventually it became a finished ship after all. (You might have seen it in my round 2 TOR entry, it had black-striped sails then). The deck of this ship consists out of brick bricks, so far I haven't seen those used for this purpose but that's probably because they aren't that great for it anyway, they make it look out of scale. I saw Legonardo using brick bricks for the walls of a cabin, that looked good. (Just incase you don't know, brick bricks have two different sides, one side are bricks, the other side are planks (how I like to call them atleast). It's an experiment, this ship has 126 brick bricks in it, I know that because it are all of my brick bricks and I bought those on only two different occasions (one being part of LUGbulk). I'm more happy with how the cabin turned out, particulary the galleries. The name is Connor (Assassins Creed reference). Sigh, my rigging really is outdated , While building this ship I've never considered it a keeper so It wouldn't have been worth the effort to equip it with costum rigging (frustrating work with ropes and knots ). But now that it's finished I kind of love it. I hope you like it, more pictures can be found in my brickshelf gallery. I will also bring this ship to Belug's yearly event; Brickmania Wetteren (4 and 5 May), along with other ships (among them the Flying Dutchman with a few modifications) and a small port (which served well as decor for my third round TOR entry), It will all be part of a huge pirate layout.

    HMS Defiant, 12 guns-brig

Well, even if isn't 100% complete; I decided to present my flagship today and now. My stock limitation was a permanent problem, but I think that I solved it with my humble methods... First of all, a few pics without crew, to see the details... The bow, notice the owl as figurehead and the bell: Now onboard, the capstan; functional but really fragile... The gun deck, clear and ready for action, with it's 8 guns: The quarterdeck, with the helm, 4 carronades and a small place for the commander to examine maps etc... The masts, the weakness of all my ships, not so pretty as the rest of the ship (probably when I put the sails will be better): Returning to the bow, the anchor, one of my favourite parts, because it's totally improvised: And now, the ship with the crew: The Commodore (myself), examining the map... At the stern, the row boat: "DING-DING, DING-DING, DING!!" _Sail ho! _Full broadside...! _...FIRE! For finish; the HMS Defiant sailing with my other ship (builded just yesterday and finished today), a bombardment ketch provisionally named as HMS Thunderer: That it's all, I hope you liked it. (The HMS Thunderer will be presented soon, but I will wait some days because I usually moddify my ships a bit every day a few days after it's construction (or a few weeks, in the case of the HMS Defiant...). Comments and critics are welcome. Greetings from Spain, Commodore Ariel Brickson.

    WIP: Godwin-Austen

Hello Everyone, I would like to present to you my latest WIP, a fourteen gun brig named the Godwin-Austen. This ship is based off a model of the brig of 1750 HMS Duke of Bedford. The Godwin-Austen features a full interior in the hold and captain's quarters, NextGen stern and bow, 14 brick-built cannon and 4 swivels, working capstan, and working rudder and tiller. I built this in LDD before quickly ordering all the parts and piecing this together in about a week. Now I'm in need of compiling a new wanted list to finish her off and plan to be on rigging early next monthish. Many thanks go out for this ship especially to Perfectionist, DPW, and CRH. Cheers Gentlemen.
