    [MOC] Four-Towered Castle

After finishing it and creating minifigures I uploaded it to LEGO Ideas which you can find here: Four-Towered Castle It contains some extra information such as piece counts. Feel free to leave a support on the LEGO Ideas site if you like it. 3D Model view here on Sketchfab: Four-Towered Castle The Full Inside view. Note that the castle is made in a "L" shaped layout. The left/West Entrance. Notice the flaps that would allow archers/crossbowmen to fire through and take cover. The inside side of the West entrance. Entrance to the hall from the courtyard/bailey. The alchemy room. With a green substance in a flask and a chandelier below the tall ceiling. The certainly need a ladder here. A tower with a wooden hoarding around it. Crossbows are stored here. The armoury. Along with the stacked sword it has a bed for a soldier here as well. View above the towers. Better view of the catapult and the winch for raising the portcullis. Inside the shack extension. The Great Hall. Turnable fire in the great hall's fireplace. Winch which you can rotate the fire and exterior of the hall. Drawbridge Outside. Gate Inside. Chest room. Stone Sigil. Walkway. Romans with a catapult & Celtic Warriors. Upper view.

  4. Under the radar, but LEGO revealed an update about replacing the ABS brick both in their 2016 Responsibility Report and a LEGO Batman Movie article here: The prototypes as featured in the Responsibility Report: So, what do you think of the progress? Mods: If this should be merged with a previous thread, please do so. I didn't want to bump a three-year-old topic.

    New parts wishlist

I would like the Mixels balljoint cup 1x2 plates, but with the cup rotated 90 degrees for greater movement freedom. I could also use 1x2 plate Mixels balljoint cup with the cup on top like 11458 and one with cup on bottom like 24201 or 18677. Mixel cup one end, jumbo cup other end. Mixel ball one end, jumbo ball other end. I would also like a 1x2 plate (or more) with studs on top and bottom (no clutch side). What would you more experienced Lego builders want?

    Lighting up Lego Bricks

Hi All I am looking at making my owning lighting system for my lego sets. I have seen a number of websites that offer a pre made kit however I would like to make my own unique design and I would also like to make it with using the JST connectors. My question is what connectors does all these different sites use. I don't know if they are JST PH's or some other JST connector. I need the connector to fit in between the stub of the lego brick. Can anyone help?

Star Wars Sets We Want To SEE!!

What are some Star Wars sets we want to see in the next year????? It would really be awesome to see some of these: - Cloud City Twin Car - Jango Fett's Slave I - Rathtar Escape - Yoda's Hut - Zam Wessel Coruscant Chase
  8. I'll start with mine. I would take a 1x1 brick with 4 knobs, and take one knob away, leaving 3 knobs. I would use it mainly for micro vehicles.
  9. Hi, I have been working on making a large Galactus figure in LDD, intending on buying the pieces necessary and building it in real life once I have finished. I completed the head (I'm building it in sections) and went on Bricklink to check the general prices of the bricks I need. For some reason, though, there is one piece: (Inverted Roof Tile Corner in Dark Purple or Medium Lilac) that was not available on Bricklink, and I have not been able to find anywhere. This kind of screwed me up, because I assumed if it was available in that color in LDD, it would be available in real life. Now I have to figure out a way to bypass this issue when I actually build the figure. Any one else run into a problem like this?
  10. After many months of work, I am happy to present you Hint lab ! I would love to get your input on my work :) Why ? You know it better than anyone, many people have a strong emotional attachment to our little bricks. They remind us of our childhood, they represent creative thinking etc. Lego bricks can be found in almost every home around the world. They come in many shapes and colors that make them ideal for customization and assortment. I realized a lot of people like to match their accessories to their outfits. Matching shoes to shirt, bag to watch... I wish to associate these ideas together. So I present you : Hint Lab. Hint lab is a range of jewelry in precious metal and nylon that allow you to wear Lego bricks and match them to your outfit. More HD photos here. What do you think of it ? Do you think there is a market for this kind of products ? I want to improve the range, do not hesitate to tell me if you have any suggestion :)

    Auchan Logo

Hello Eurobrickers! Today I would like to show you a logo of French supermarket Auchan
  12. The Title should pretty much tell everything, but heres a short summary: Today I wanted to buy some unique pieces from Bricks and Pieces. Manly Star Wars pieces like Sabine's Helmet. I made my order and got an E-Mail shortly after which said: "We offer a free service to replace LEGO® bricks that were missing or faulty in a new set. After reviewing your account history and parts requests you’ve made over time, we’ve decided to no longer offer this service to you. As a result, we’ve cancelled your order. Any future orders will also be cancelled. You can still buy LEGO bricks and sets elsewhere, but orders placed through LEGO.com, for both Shop and replacement parts, online or over the phone will be automatically cancelled from this point on." I know they assume you abuse the system if you order too much, and I admit ordering some pieces 2 years prior (I was really nitpicky back then about slightly misplaced printings, but anymore thank god). But the point is, I wanted to BUY the pieces. Not get them for free. I entered my credit card informations and they still cancelled it. Why feels like a giant "Screw you" to me. I wouldn't mind if it was an order about missing bricks, but no, I just wanted to buy them and they still treat my like this. Reading this sounds like im ranting really hard, but it isn't really, since they have a reason to be suspicious to me. But what actually unsettles me the most is that they told me that ALL Orders from the Online Store will get cancelled. Every.Single.One. I tried to contact them once because I really had a broken piece to be replaced, but they ignored my E-Mail. Edit: Sorry for the late answer, but I finally asked them about this issue per phone. It did NOT get solved. The woman I talked to explained me that the decision came from a person on an higher position than her and she couldn't do anything about it to change it. Well, now I feel like I just got a giant middle finger shuffed in my face... So I don't really know what to do know. I think a phone call would come in mind, but let me hear what you say about this messy situation.

    Bricks & Pieces

Bricks&Pieces is/was? an alternative to Pick a Brick that doesn't suck, for those rare parts that would have no chance to be on Pick a Brick (which is never a better deal than BrickLink). I made an order last week (for the hollowed round 1x1 plates in LBG, quite useful & only available in the Dimensions Portal set) and today I notice that it's.. gone? I'm only seeing the first 2 ('part is missing') options here. I seriously hope they're merging it with Pick a Brick, for something more useful. In my last order I had spotted mini-legs in LBG for 5 cents btw. Sounded like a good deal, but not too good to be true - BrickLink prices are purely based on rarity but for Lego mini-legs are just 1 part, not an assembly, so they could exist for 5 cents. Well Lego fixed their prices & billed me the remainder without even asking, that's not nice of them. Lucky I didn't buy 100's - something I can imagine a BL shop owner doing.

    LEGO Architects

Hi, LEGO Creator fans This is my 3d favorite LEGO series. Some fans advised me to translate from Russian into English my poem dedicated to the 80th anniversary of LEGO. If I mischose the theme, a regulater will choose where to upload it better. Many thanks. First the text is in Russian and below in English. (Sorry I failed to translate using rhymes). 24.01. 2012 To LEGO Architects (1932-2012) Once, having found in a desert a lamp with a magic prisoner The man asked the jinn, “What can you do, the spirit of the Universe? Should I be reckless or cautious in my dreams?” - “I am less the lamp’s prisoner than of my master’s wishes. My bondage are limits of human aspiration. I can make real anything that you can imagine And in exchange I beg you to free me from the power given to me, To let free the jinn, to wish him freedom. As one can’t count sands in a desert, so are my slave years countless”. How did the legend finish that wasn’t preserved by centuries. Only people turned the magic world into a game world. Everyone once started with toy blocks & puzzles. What couldn’t be made with blocks, that was completed by a dream. Children’s imagination is equal to the jinn’s powers, It includes the magic world as Aladdin’s lamp does. And the toy bricks boxes hold anything in the world, Anything that is in a child’s mind, and not only child’s. Because toys can start a collection If later a simple hobby is not enough. During lots of years different blocks Gave new forms to realization of imagination. And I still search for something somewhere, little by little. I know for certain, there are people in the world that’ll help me. Those whom I don’t know at all, but who has something But that is in hips – not needed any more. Promiscuously, indisorder, forgottensets Are in the corners, dusted – for months & even years. To give a second life to things used as pastime – That I can do as an architect who sees glory of ruins. What they used to be, our memory can suggest. But people didn’t spare even stone in their recklessness. Parthenon, the ancient masterpiece, wasn’t destroyed by elements But by being used as a military warehouse of gunpowder. Once a cannon-ball broke the strong roof And a terrible explosionshook the ancient building. Restorers have been trying for a lot of years to find In different branches of science the treasures lost by memory. Where is the source of their aspiration, interest for architecture, For the beauty of gone buildings & the culture which created them? - Maybe it is only in this hobby which gradually changed the life. Nothing passes away without a trace. Everything is kept deep in our minds. Sometimes we recollect long forgotten things. So a seed forces its way through soil. Unforeseen corn shoots, invisible at first, Cansproutsometimesunexpectedly. So a childish pastime, being only a game Sometimes can be a beginning of something more important. Then plastic will become stone and assembling instructions - Draughts of different buildings at a real construction site. 24.01. 2012.
  15. Hello, I have ordered bricks for 60 € at "Pick a Brick" and uploaded a Haul-Video to show, which 410 pieces I've got. I wrote down my experience (in german) - but the video is in English. Do you prefer bricklink.com - or do you use PaB, too? I found most of the bricks I need for my new MOC, I've got those in just five days. But PaB is "not cheap", I think. Best wishes Andres
  16. This topic is for those who sometimes wonder, is this brick actual LEGO? If you have ever asked yourself any of the questions listed below, you may want to read the topic. Do I mix my similar brands together? Do I have bricks without LEGO on the studs? (Plates do not apply) Do I have any figs that clearly aren't LEGO? http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/megablokshalowars/images/c/cf/Megabloks-forward-unto-dawn-97117-3086.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20121203202408 Have you ever bought custom pieces? I will help with these problems. If you post(with an image) I will read it.
  17. I've got some bricks and tiles that have been in my collection for a while and are starting to really show the wear and tear. I know there's a method of restoring the shine and transparency to old transparent bricks, but I'm curious about the traditional non-transparent pieces.. You know how when you open up a new set, and the tiles and bricks are smooth to the touch, and glossy, and are just pleasant to the touch overall? That's what I'd like to return my pieces to. My question, therefore, is: Is there a method of returning the glossy, smooth, 'new' feel to used bricks? (Let's assume the pieces in question have been cleaned of dust, etc. beforehand, and aren't covered in tooth marks or bent/dented corners.) In particular, tiles are notorious for this, as they have this large smooth surface that's just perfect for attracting the micro-scratches. I suspect at least some of the loss of 'new feel' comes from the oil in our fingers, so whatever method used would be temporary - but that's perfect for taking final pictures (you'd just have to wear gloves and be willing to put in that extra bit of time to keep your model nice for the photo shoot). Anyone got a method for this?
  18. I recently went to the lego store and have never really bought bricks off the PAB wall. As a newcomer to buying peices for my own creations, what tips do you guys have for buying off the wall? I got a large cup of just random pieces (Ive heard large bins are better priced) that I think I could use and that was my only guide really. But do any of you have any past experience or wisdom to share? Some questions I have are: 1) How does lego decide what pieces to put on the wall? 2) Are pieces off the PAB a good deal or is it better online at like the online pick a brick or brick link? 3) Is USD $16 a large cup too expensive? 4) Are there bricks in the really high up containers lol? I couldn't even look all the way up there. 5) What time do you guys go to the store? This is kinda weird but when i go there, there are so many kids running around and its usually pretty hot and im trying to figure out what to get. 6) How often do they change what pieces are on the wall? 7) Essentially is the pick a brick wall the most effective way to get lego pieces for your creations? For now buying the boxes of pieces stores sometimes sell is not really necessary for me as I am not building such large things currently.

    The Smurfs

    Hello Eurobrickers! and short
  20. Hello all, A question. Is it possible to import bricks from a certain Lego set into LDD? I mean, i have the 5891 house for example and want to make a MOC out of it. I could use the partnumber from Brickset or Bricklink for example, but that is gonna take a while... Is it possible to upload all the bricks at once to LDD? I hope my question is clear enough. ;-) Thanks in advance.
  21. When I build a car the answer is liftarms and I love them because his light weight and soft curves, but when I build a machine or a truck everything changes and my MOCs loose quality although they have many features or qualities. I always look for maximum functionality sacrificing aesthetics a bit but the question is, do I have to use bricks in machines and trucks?, I wonder if the weight gain would be significant. For me a hybrid structure is always the best, talking about machine arms for example.
  22. A situation arose when, in the middle of an intensely productive building frenzy, that I discovered that I had none of these pieces in my inventory I did, however, have a bunch of these Therefore I took a Dremel with sanding disk and modded four of these to fit. It took less than 30 seconds to get four hacked pieces. So, my question is Would you modify a piece to make a MOC work?
  23. As I am toying with purchasing a second 'Pet Shop' I was wondering how many others buy multiple copies of the sets. So far, I have gotten 2 Town Halls, 2 Grand Emporiums, 2 Parisian Restaurants. 1 each of the Palace Cinema, Fire Brigade and PetShop. I came too late to the table for the others. I used most of the second Town Hall to build my Ideas project, and the others I plan to increase the size of my GE, and maybe MOC something from the PR. If anything, they are good sources of a lot of brick for the price. With the intro of a new modular soon, I am thinking I might get the 2nd Pet Shop for the parts, and possibly reworking it into my own design. I guess the possibilities are endless. What are your thoughts/plans?
  24. I currently have a large selection of various minifigs for sale: Some figs that are very valuable include the chrome stormtrooper ($20) scarecrow ($15) , and lots of star wars characters. The more minifigs bought together the better the deal I will make. Also, I have several sets for sale, it is just the set and may be missing pieces. These include: #7259 ARC-170 - $20 7143 Jedi Star fighter $10 X-Wing $25 Imperial Shuttle $20 Anakin Starfighter (yellow one from ep 3) $10 Prices are flexible and reasonable. Email me at nathaniel.druce@gmail.com or PM if interested Please take a look! Thank you. My pics are too big to upload so upon request I will send them to you
