    Wayne Manor Modular

DarthKy and I have been working on a modular based on the Wayne Manor and using the Modular footprint in order to restrict the design to a reasonable scale. We have also tried to fill it with various references from the comics, movies, animations, and the 60's TV show. To make the design more fun we have have built it up on four quarter baseplates allowing the design to be opened up. Batman References I hope the true Batfans out there will appreciate the various references we have integrated. I have here two images of references followed by their descriptions so if you are of the mind to try to figure these things out on your own, go ahead. I admit, some of them are a bit esoteric. Image one references A. Grandfather Clock A Grandfather Clock is in almost every incarnation of Wayne Manor. In most continuities it is the access to the Batcave as well. In this case, we are not able to use it as the access as a figure is quite broad. Note that the Clock is set to 10:48. Setting the clock to this time unlocks the entrance and is the time of day the fateful mugging occured. B. Man of the Year Award In the Lego Batman 2 Game, Bruce Wayne beats out Lex Luthor for the Man of the Year Award. C. Painting of Bruce Wayne on a horse with a dog at his side This is a double reference both to The Dark Knight Returns and Ace the Bat-hound. Bruce Wayne is rarely seen with horses, but he does have horses in The Dark Knight Returns which grants Batman a significant advantage at a critical point in the story. So this is a just a subtle reference to one of Batman's epic tales. Ace the Bat-hound is, as the name implies, is a dog who aids Batman. He originated in the 1950s but did not transition the Crisis. He has re-appeared in Batman Beyond, Krypto the Super Dog, and Batman: Brave and the Bold. D. Armor and Sword Display We have based this build off of a display in the 1989 Batman movie by Tim Burton. Hopefully the picture speaks for itself. E. The "Waynes" Of course everyone has their favorite Robin. We have tried to include an acceptable presentation of each in this wall portrait. The line up from Left to Right: Dick Grayson, Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne, Tim Drake, and Alfred Pennyworth. It does not play though 100% but I tried to make the ties and kerchiefs color compatible with the super hero personas. The above image was generated using Mini Mi as a base followed up with photoshopping. Image Two References A. & B. Gray Ghost Fedora and Action Figure Batman the Animated Season 1 Episode 18 "Beware the Gray Ghost" is one of the greatest episodes of the any Batman cartoon. . It introduces a childhood hero of Bruce Wayne, the Gray Ghost who is voiced by none other than Adam West. It also includes voicing by Bruce Timm, the series co-creator. Batman's Gray Ghost Collection To further expand the significance of the Gray Ghost to all things Batman, the Fedora re-appears in Batman Beyond, utilized by Bruce Wayne as an impromptu disguise when Inque catches a ride to the Batcave...That's right, we even have a Batman Beyond reference. Bruce Wayne dons the Gray Ghost Fedora as an impromptu disguise C. A Foil The Wayne's are returning form "Mask of Zorro" on that fateful night. Zorro is also one of Bob Kane's inspirations in the creation of Batman. D. & E. A Book of Gotham Nursery Rhymes and Blueprints to Building by the Alan Wayne Trust These are references to the Court of Owls. F. Shakespeare Bust A Shakespeare Bust with a "pez action" head conceals the button that opens the Batcave in the original television series. G. Man of the Year Award In the Lego Batman 2 Game, Bruce Wayne beats out Lex Luthor for the Man of the Year Award. (I realize I mention this twice. I will update the picture to get rid of it shortly) H. Detective Comics #27 in Plastic Case The issue that introduces Batman to the world! The Batcave Our Batcave design is much more conservative than most you see: The "left" quarter of the batcave is dedicated to Batman's infamous trophies: The T-rex The Joker Card The Giant Penny Mr. Freeze's gun Green Kryptonite the "right" quarter of the batcave showcases Batman's equipment including a chamber for his suit. It you like the design please consider giving your support to our Cuusoo project. We realize the scale is a bit...impressive, and the license is, of course, in play, but we would sure like to get this concept to review regardless of production possibilities.
  3. Hello, all. My son and I did this movie for the "Super Heroes Unite" contest that Lego held in 2011. It is 50 minutes long. We recorded this film with a sony handycam and edited it in iMovie. The whole thing was done in 4 months. We worked on it about 6-7 hours a day. All of the voices in my movies are my students and colleagues from the school where I work. Enjoy!
  4. Sorry for double post. I was trying to edit something and it made a new thread...
  5. ^ Here's my interpretation of the 1966 Batmobile. As you see the contrasting color is limegreen. That's because of my lack of new bricks in red. Maybe I'll change the green to a dark red in the future, but for now the green is cool enough for me. ;) ^ The car is based on the MonsterFighters Hearse. I used that headlight treatment, minifig placement, and overall build-up as a base and went from there. Made it longer, lower, and added some more Batmobile characteristics. I've tried to make it meaner and leaner, lower and slower. Kind of a hotrod rod/custom attitude. Hope you'll like it. So, there you have it. My first official MOC, in my first official Forum-post. (besides my introduction ;) Feel free to comment and critisise.
  6. Hi, I'm sharing my latest MOC which made for upcoming exhibition event of my forum. Hope you like it as well. The idea was inspired by the Movie - Batman Trilogy. I was trying to recreate the R & D department of Lucius Fox which located under the Basement of Wayne Tower. Furthermore, I added in something little more in this MOC - the Sewer where Bane and Poison Ivy hiding and planning something big and evil. Hope you all enjoying. The official Lego Tumbler from Lego 76001 The Bat vs Bane:Tumbler Chase Elevator which linked to the Lucius Fox's office Lucius Fox's office Lucius Fox - disguised by Lego Mace Windu XD " Bruce Wayne, as I live and breathe. What brings you out of cryo-sleep, Mr. Wayne?" quoted from the movie The Dark Knight Rises. Bruce Wayne with crutch " You haven't lost your sense of humor. Even if you have lost most of my money." quoted from the movie The Dark Knight Rises. Sewer part Bane and his henchmen Poison Ivy's Hideout Details: Bane and his henchmen In the movie The Dark Knight Rises, Bane and his forces were also planning to bomb the building and claim the Batman's weapon Poison Ivy's Hideout My favourite part Giant Cannibalism plant Giant weird flower Venom That's all~ Thanks for visiting and comments~

    [MOC] 1989 Batmobile

Hello!! this is my Fav Bat Car ever, from Tim Burton Movies I know its not the Perfect replica, but capture most of iconic details :)
  8. Just received my BTTF DeLorean set and absolutely love it! Along with StickKim's DarkKnight Tumbler design, the Time Machine is by far one of my favorite vehicles in LEGO. The figures are very well done and I like the design of the car (aside from the hood pieces), though I know there is debate by lots on that. The pics below show TLG Back to the Future set (you can see the Flux Capacitor) with the Marty McFly and Doc Brown figs. Below that, Stickkim's Tumbler and my custom Dark Knight Batman (design copyrighted). Anyway, wasn't sure what forum this belonged in, as it had both official LEGO sets and a custom designed vehicle and minifigure. What's your favorite vehicle - custom or TLG??
  9. The Official LEGO Justice League Trailer is now out. 10. Batman: Arkham Origins, Deathstroke The Dark Knight battles the deadly assassin Deathstroke in this Arkham Origins inspired creation. Featuring a custom designed and printed Deathstroke minifigure by Christo. --- --- Looks like you got my invitation. It's just you and me. COME ON! Enjoy ~Nemo
  11. Hey guys. Here is my very first post on Eurobricks. It is about the set 6864 The Batmobile And The Two Face Chase. When I first got this set, it was by mail. I found myself a HUGE box for the whole set. It's actually pretty awesome. Now, I didn't get to do an unboxing, so I'm just going to do a review. First off this set contains 531 pieces, 5 minifigures, and it costed about $50. But $50 for a box this big is so worth it! The set contains 4 numbered bags and 2 instruction books. Here the minifigs are all together. ( from left to right: Guard, Batman, Henchman #1, Henchman #2, Two-Face ) Here is the safe. Much like the money inside it, it is green. Here is the epic Batmobile and down there is the two-colored armored truck. This was built with bags #1 and #2. This is the bag #3 build. This bank was built with bag #4. Guard: Come on. Let's move it. Two-Face: LET ME GO! @#$#%#$! Batman: Colorful language will get you nowhere, you criminal scum. Here, Two-Face steals the safe on his two-colored armor truck. Here is the missile shooter. Red is a great choice of color for the tips of these missiles, isn't it? However ( below ) it seems that these missiles are uncoordinated. Batman: Seriously? Two-Face: DANG IT!! Here's Two-Face's little coin. ( It has a decal printed on it, but my cruddy camera wasn't able to show it. ) The two images below Batman in front of his Batmobile, then inside his Batmobile. Below are the missiles of the Batmobile. Transparent orange is a pretty good color as well, right? Sorry, the correct answer was "Not as much". The front-and-side views of the exhaust flames: Let's see the front view of the bank...: ....and the inside: ...then there's the side of the bank....: ....the side of the bank has this switch. Let's see what it does: and *POP!* goes the windows, enabling Two-Face to steal the safe! This set also contains a brick seperator! It was very useful for building the Batmobile. OVERALL: 12.5/15 Minifigures: 4/5 The minifigures were pretty awesome, and I liked the Two-Face minifigure, but I really think that the original 2006 Two-Face is better. Build: 4/5 Good for a need for many black and beige pieces. However the build for Two-Face's truck was not as great as the 2006 build only because of its coloring. This is orange-and-purple, meanwhile the 2006 build is grey-and-white. I did not have trouble applying the sticker decals. But when I opened the box for Bag #4, I found that the big grey plate was a little bent. Pricing: 4.5/5 The price, $50, is pretty reasonable for a set with a box as big as this! But the bags, instructions, and stickers, however, could fit in a slightly smaller box. I also think that splitting the instructions into two parts was a good idea because I think that printing it all as one book would have made the entire set cost more. That's all for now!

    [MOC] The BAT

I like the BAT! So I made my version. Propellers are possible to act if lever or motor attached. This is best view angle I think. Scale is based on mifi scale, so you may make batman or catwoman ride on. This is front view. Slightly remaked from original movie. Back view. You can see the axle which is to rotate bottom and front propeller. Propellers are orthogonal by 90 degree to each other and axle is also orthgonal. This model needs specific mount component which is not yet made.

    Mr Wayne's secret

Hi, everyone! Today, I'd like to present you my newest MOC. It's a Batcave with the part of Wayne's manor. It is based on Nolan trilogy. The Batcave has a big black platform, a well(there little Bruce fell), the Batcomputer, the shelf of the batarangs. There are five floors in the house - three of them are modules. [/center] Thanks for watching!

    Mosaics from this year

It's been awhile since I posted anything so I thought I would share my current outlet for LEGO, which seems to be large mosaics. Nothing is smaller than 96x114 studs. I have found that working in grey-scale seems to produce some awesome results, but Batman did need to be done in colour, he is just under 5 feet tall (112x192 studs). Enjoy. The Semi-Dark Knight Iron Man 'Hope' Poster as in the movie. Collectable Minifig Series 1 Circus Clown Steve McQueen 'Thank you very much' Mr Elvis Presley
  16. I was wondering whether Lego would ever reintroduced branded Technic Sets. And I'm not talking about Ferrari, Williams or Lamborghini. From memory I can only recall there being a few Technic star wars characters, but never any vehicles. So my questions to you guys are do you think we'll see it anytime soon, and if so what would you like to see? I'd personally like a Batman Tumbler and a BTTF DeLorean that lights up like a Christmas tree.
  17. Hi all I just want to share with you my project I'm actualy working on. This part will belong to a collaborative with 6kyubi6 which build something similar on the right. it will be presented for a convention in 1 month and based on Super Heros Tha aim of this topic is really to show evolution of the construction and each step I need to the final result. I think it could be interesting for some members. to be continued....
  18. This interpretation of 10937 Arkham Asylum as the modular building, “An Alternate Asylum,” was created with four official sets and a handful of various monochromatic plates from my collection. Additionally, I elected to substitute some gray bricks with those of slightly more saturated hues via Bricklink. Enjoy! flickr Front: Rear: Interior: Stealing a moment away: Spooky Street: Until next time~

  20. These are a couple of head decals I made a while back. If you click on each image, it will take you to my DeviantART Page which has super-big versions of them for you to download (right-hand sidebar), print and play with. Enjoy! Red Skull: The Captain America Villian, the Red Skull. Their is bound to be a Red Skull minifig being thrown around somewhere in the pipe works at LEGO, its just a matter of time. Captain America has no other nemesis as popular as the nazi slap-head, unless you count Iron Man. (civilwaramirite?) The Scarecrow: Not a massive fan of the official LEGO Batman Scarecrow, for me he's a bit too graphic and not really in keeping with the LEGO's house style, so I took a shot at making him more LEGO-y. What you think?

  22. I was on BrickHeroes yesterday and I came across a Brickfilm contest through tongal. Has anyone else heard of it or even entered? If so what are some of your ideas? Post some of your videos. Here is the link to the site: http://tongal.com/project/LEGODC2013# Pie

    MOC: Batman vs Black Mask

Batman vs Black Mask Bullets fly as Batman attempts to take down the powerful drug kingpin Black Mask in his run down narcotics warehouse. This is the largest Batman creation I’ve made, and in addition to being packed full of details, it’s also the first time I’ve made a scene where Batman is after the Black Mask. It’s also my first creation that’s greatly inspired by the Arkham games, with the character choices stemming from the soon to be released Arkham Origins. The build itself features tons of details from twin conveyor belts moving drugs to six large windows. There’s also two wall mounted ventilation fans as well as two celling fans. There’s also three large support beams on the roof that hold up three large lights that Batman is running across (Dodging fire at the same time!). A small office is there too, as well as two gargoyles for the Dark Knight to perch on. Clean up in the narcotics aisle... This creation was actually first shown in an interview I had with Beyond the Brick. You can watch that interview .Inverted Takedown Enjoy ~Captain Nemo
  25. Hello everyone, This double-sided MOC was inspired from "Night of the Ninja" and "Day of the Samurai" - 2 episodes from Batman The Animated Series. Kyodai Ken's profile = www.dcanimated.wikia.com/wiki/Kyodai_Ken "Night of the Ninja" episode = www.dubbed-scene.com/batman-animated-series-35-night-ninja "Day of the Samurai" episode = www.dubbed-scene.com/batman-animated-series-44-day-samurai I really love these 2 episodes because they explored Bruce Wayne's past during his time in Japan and they featured a villain, Kyodai Ken, who gave Batman a real challenge The first side of this MOC is a Japanese dojo setting where Kyodai Ken is trying to steal Yoru sensei's katana blade. The blade is over 500 years old and very valuable - luckily Bruce catches Kyodai in the act: -- Spear-rack and Japanese Gong -- Yoru sensei's katana blades. Kyodai is kicked out of the Dojo and this event creates Kyodai's life-long grudge against Bruce -- Samurai armor displays -- The other side of the MOC has the final fight between Bruce and Kyodai near a volcano on Mt. Kijiki -- Kyodai lures Bruce to Mt. Kijiki by kidnapping Alfred -- They agree to fight "man to man", without their masks -- Alfred watches on "wish I had a cup of tea..." -- The volcano explosions cause the mountain to break apart and Kyodai is stuck on a piece of rock, surrounded by lava -- Bruce throws a lined Batarang over to Kyodai, trying to save his life -- Accepting defeat and overwhelmed with Bruce's willingness to save his life, Kyodai bows respectfully... -- And disappears after an explosion Thanks for looking! Comments and suggestions are welcome
