  1. Since my kids have gotten interested in Lego Duplo blocks, I’ve been looking for ways to make unique little landscapes for them. Duplo blocks are big, but the official baseplates that Lego sells aren’t that big! Also, I remember having a fun Lego island baseplate when I was a kid that I used to make pirate bases. The internet is a big place, but I haven’t been able to find pre-made baseplates available that have interesting designs like this for Duplo-sized blocked or a massive scale. So I made 4 different ones! A giant green baseplate A giant blue baseplate A raised green baseplate relief landscape A Melissa & Doug wooden castle Read the full blog post here: https://www.evancrouch.com/duplos/creating-custom-duplo-baseplates/
  2. I'm trying to connect multiple 16x16 and 8x16 plates together for a large-ish MOC, the base size is 56x44 studs so I can't use standard 32x32 baseplate parts. If I build directly on top of the network of plates, the plates pop off with the slightest flex. If I sandwich the base layer between a pair of 2xN plates running along the seams, it's a bit stronger but the 16x16 plates can twist so much that they still pop the plates off and it all falls apart. I've studied a lot of the official sets, but not even the Disney castle had a footprint this big. Does anyone have any tips and tricks for building a strong and rigid base, that can survive being picked up and moved around a little?

    Show me YOUR LEGO Town!

Simply put, like many of those showing off topics, I thought it'd be a great idea to do that for everyone's individual LEGO towns if they have any, especially seeing as I can't seem to find that many in this sub-forum. I'm currently working on my own town, and it encompasses mostly Creator houses and City 8x16 buildings. How about yours?
