After seeing that the A-team licence is now allowed back on lego ideas i have decided to clean up my old build, it takes inspiration from a few different vehicle builds, quite a lot of trucks, I originally built a version of this in 2018 after seeing a MOC by Willem G and Kevin8, their vans were the main inspiration especially for the tilt on the side panels (i have credited him for this amazing solution in my Ideas submission), i took their models apart and rebuilt them using my own techniques and details to hopefully make a better version, but over the years lego parts have changed a lot and so have techniques, so after a couple of years of messing around and looking at other techniques used on other builds of this van i am happy to present my version of this iconic vehicle, i believe thanks to the culmination of many MOCs, styles and builds ive seen over the years that this is one of the more screen accurate builds, one thing i think might be a little off is the front light bar, i think the parts i used were too thick, and as of yet i dont have the parts to build this so im unsure but i think the rear wheel/axle part might be an illegal build as it may put stress on the axle however i cant find out yet At the moment i am desiging the prints for each of the minifigures in photoshop, i think i will use the Mr T from Lego Dimensions maybe just adding so leg detail if anyone has any suggestions for the bull bars on the front please let me know or are they fine as it is?
kevin8 posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHi to all, today I'm back with a new creation. It is based on an old Moc I found on Mocpages some years ago. I would like to share this with its creator, but I haven't find any way to contact him. Anyway, this is the link to the original one http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/323231 . More than a year ago, I found I could buy the instructions on rebrickable, but it was evidently a Moc derived from the original one. Unluckily it was very poor in details and the proportions were not so good. So I looked for more sources and I discovered there were 2 different A-team Vans with many interiors. I focused on the GMC Van of the '87 and made the one with the equipment for recordings. I tried to fit all the details I could and at last, despite a little parts, the Moc is original. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/albums/72157666727391518
From days of long ago, from the uncharted regions of the nerdy-verse, comes a legend, the legend of Nerdtron: Defender of the 80's! A mighty robot loved by good, feared by evil! This totally tubular titan is comprised of some of the most iconic pop culture vehicles of the 80's, such as the Ecto-1, Delorean time machine, A-Team Van, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Wagon, and Nerdly forms the head. Sporting a glorious mullet, shoulder pads, and a walkman, our heroic 80's icons are ready to take on the Shredder, Biff, ghosts, or any other evil foe that threatens our nostalgia! This is my entry for the Nerdvember contest on Bricknerd. It was inspired by an illustration that I came across in an image search. If this isn't the nerdiest, most 80's thing you've ever seen, I don't know what is! Nerdtron: Defender of the 80's by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Here he is, ready to spring into action!
