  1. July-August 620. Vol 5, Special Edition OLEON INVADES TERRAVERSA! Kings Port is shrouded in the smoky haze of battle as a fleet of Oleon’s 25 largest ships sailed into the harbor and opened fire on the port’s fortifications. Five ships that were already here with the RNTC are helping shelter dozens of long boats ferry hundreds of bluecoated soldiers to shore. Flashes of cannon fire from the Oleon ships and the fortresses that protect our city continually illuminate the haze as our local regiments make preparations to repel the invaders. Meanwhile, reports from smaller settlements around the island tell us that at least five other Oleon fleets are openly assaulting Terraversan towns. Nine ships last spotted in Astrapi are bombarding Sillithonia and have sent a battalion ashore. From Tarlor we hear that 24 ships last reported in Breshaun are bombarding the local defenses and landing nearly four companies of bluecoats. Fom Pilnton we have received word that 18 ships out of Granoleon are bombarding the shore batteries. Small squadrons have also opened fire on the towns of Tanari and Nola Mar. In total, we believe nearly 90 ships and possibly a full division of bluecoats – more than 800 men! – are involved in the assault. If you are here on Terraversa, we at the KPA urge all able-bodied citizens to take up musket and blade, whether sword or farm implement, and fight the dastardly bluecoats. Make the beaches, the streets, and the fields run red with their blood! If you are unable to fight, make your way to safer regions of the interior, or to the defenses of Westface. If you are reading this somewhere off the island, then ships from our national trade fleet were able to escape Kings Port harbor and sail past the invading Oleon fleet. Know that the Bluecoats are villainous deceivers. Send help if you can, and protect yourself against similar perfidy! The outcome of these assaults is as yet unknown. We will endeavor to continue publishing as long as we have a printing press, but receiving reports from our far-flung correspondents may be more difficult in the coming weeks. Rest assured that one way or another, we will find a way to get the news to you.

    [MOC] Homeric Galley

Here is my take on a Minifigure Scale Ancient Greek Homeric Galley. A predecessor to the Bireme and the more widely known Trireme, the Homeric Galley was a rowed warship that sailed the Aegean Sea around the 12th century BC. This ship specifically is based off of the Epic Poem The Odyssey and its protagonist, Odysseus' ship. [MOC] HOMER'S ILIAD

Introducing a continuing LEGO series spanning the Trojan War of Achilles, Agamemnon, Hector and Paris to the decade long journey of Odysseus through the mythical Aegean Sea. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of Homer's Epic Poems. I also hope you learn a little bit about one of history's first incredible adventures. Homer's Iliad by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr The Warlord Achilles and his Myrmidons. Achilles and his fearsome Myrmidon Soldiers hailed from Phthia in the Northwestern Aegean Sea. It is a disagreement between Achilles and the Mycenaean King Agamemnon that serves as the primary storyline of the Iliad. Acilles and his Myrmidons by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr

  5. 2020, Today, Plantasea There are scattered rumors that a terrorist cell led my infamous Hug Drax is prepearing a big hit in Plantasean territory. But noone knows information about Drax and his organization, even how he looks. Same time and after ten years, following a lead, Plantasean agency "Green Door" found that Lt.Sunday Priestime is alive and held in an isolated prison. 6. Hi, I'm new on Eurobricks, but not to the world of LEGO. I'm building for 1,5 years now and this WW2 build I made back in 2017 for a contest on Flickr. If you like what you see give me a follow on Flickr, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and/or Pinterest. Background I build an accurate scene from the movie 'Saving Private Ryan'. I did some extended research to make this scene as accurate as possible. The hardest thing to figure out was the placement of each soldier. Second of all that the halftrack came in from behind and that Captain Miller and his men had to turn around 180 degrees so that the wouldn't be attacked from behind. Eventually Captain Miller and his men where surprised by the explosion from the other side of the halftrack. By the second hit Captain Miller and his men came into action and ambushed the small recon unit of the 2nd SS Panzer Division by surprise. Those German Soldiers didn't know what hit them! After the battle they found out that a small 101st Airborne squad from the 506h PIR was following them up close and took out that 2nd SS Panzer Division halftrack. The rest of the story is known and otherwise watch this great WW2 movie :) Hope you'll like what you see! 12. Hi guys, this is my new creation! It's my entry to the Colossal Battle Contest V 2017 for the category . CBC V - Dread Ambushers Category I choose to create a great battle from the ancient Hellenic Wars, known as Peloponnesian War. A small force of Spartan army was cutted from their main army of Sparta by Athenian army and their navy on the island of Sphacteria. The Athenian forces manage to land on the island after a surprise attack and forced the Spartans to surrender! It's one of the few times that a Spartan army was surrendered and did not fight until death. I hope you like it! You can see more pictures in my Flickr page! C&C are appreciated

  17. Ch. 1 - Ruins of Erendir With no leads and desperate to find Osiris, Aravorn grew impatient and so decided to trust in Thruk's word. Thus, he traveled to the Siccus Badlands where stumbled upon something unexpected. As Aravorn delved deeper into the plains of the Siccus Badlands, he heard the sound of a rumbling that kept growing louder and louder. At first it did not worry him much. After all, he knew of stories about the monolithic beasts that lived in Nocturnus. Instead, he wondered if he would finally catch a glimpse of them. Curious, he followed the rumbling and got as close as he could. When he did, Aravorn peaked over one of the rocky hills but was astonished at the sight he did not imagine to see. "By the lords... its a siege beast...", he proclaimed as the creature roared its loud cry. Stunned by their sheer size, Aravorn almost couldn't look away. At least until his eyes were drawn to an even more troubling sight below. "And an invasion force of hundreds...". His innocent curiosity quickly became deadly concerns. "Why are they mobilizing their soldiers? The war is over?". Aravorn wondered in deep thought until he was interrupted by a coming group of soldiers. "Get moving! Pharan expects us to be there by dawn. Now march!", the commander shouted. Aravorn quickly hid himself atop the cliffside. "Looks like that tip from Thruk was right", Aravorn said to himself. And as he secretly watched the passing soldiers go by he noticed their distinct armor. "Its the Toraga people, the barbarian tribe of half man and half orc. I did not expect that they would join Osiris' ranks, especially since they don't do well with taking orders. But I shouldn't be surprised, after all they do revel in the pride of brute strength. Still, why would they join the defeated Spire?". Aravorn quietly pondered as he noticed two soldiers part from the line. "Look at 'em, barking Pharan's orders. Here we are breaking our backs while that filthy Pharan sits in his throne room all day". "Aye, I heard its cause he gets special treatment. Something about him being one of Lord Osiris' favorites. Even gave him the fortress near the mountain range of Grum, or what's left of it anyway". "That spoiled filth ain't no warrior! He ain't deserving of a fortress". The disgruntled two continued to banter with each other. "Looks like they're not on good terms with Pharan", Aravorn thought. "But they're still following his orders and now they're headed to a fortress on the mountain's of Grum. That's all I need to know". Aravorn unsheathed his sword. "Wait, did you hear something?", the two unsuspecting soldiers looked unto the hill beside them only to see Aravorn's blade strike them down and so quickly that they could not react. With this new information, Aravorn's doubt had ceased and his new-found certainty made him all the more eager. "Stay where you are Pharan. I'm coming for you". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys, I'm back with a recent weekend build and this time with the AT-AT walkers of the Castle universe, a war elephant. This build is actually based on [DustyBricks] brilliant Lord of the Rings Oliphant. I took a few liberties with the design, primarily with the basket. And although I unfortunately didn't have the wedge pieces to make my ideal basket design, overall I'm satisfied with the end result. As for the story, this was a bit of a rushed chapter since I haven't had much free time, but I thought it at-least got things moving. So tell me what you guys think and thanks for viewing. EDIT: Also, please ignore the spoiler tag. I screwed something up that put this entire post in a spoiler; many apologies

  23. The Maestro

    Waldred the War Master

From a young age Waldred had an unhealthy interested in war. But now as his days grow short, he retires from his years of advising and training to live peacefully in a small tower. This has been busy gathering dust while I am rushing to finish my other Brick show mocs (not to mention a very, very large moc (Hype!)) I am very proud of this, to me the stone work is good, landscaping great and the Tudor/roof better. The roof was the most challenging part, but thanks to 40+ angled plates I was fine :P Credit for most, if not all techniques go to of course @Legonardo , who gave me the inspiration for this build a couple years ago at CBS (yup this thing has been floating around for two years). This and the rest of my mocs were on display at the Christchurch Brick Show last weekend, It was great seeing the public's opinion and they seemed to love the "Rapunzel" tower. Hope you enjoy and C&C needed.

  25. GRID E4 STUDICA – GRID Q6 GENERAL MAP (APPROX) After the successful offensive movements of the COAC, it was time to seize enemy territory. This is a territory divided by a river. Erotema is on the left and Briolui on the right. Not a very wide and deep river, but enough to difficult the crossing without special means. A lonely combatant is searching the area, with his .50 sniper rifle. He doesn´t seem to wear the standard Briolui uniform. Maybe a mercenary? A member of a local militia? Who knows… 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr A few minutes later, an EROTEMA MRAPv (Mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicle) arrives at the area. They are inspecting the border. 3 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 3 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 3 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr This vehicle features a quad 7.62 mm machine gun to provide support and self-defense, however other versions can carry a mortar, a TOW missile… Suddenly, the MRAP crew spot the sniper, who opens fire against them, so they have to do something... -Sierra 1, we are under sniper fire, we return fire, we return fire. 4 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And the machine guns take no time in silencing the enemy. 5 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr After this small skirmish, the 2 members of the crew decide to inspect the river… 6 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr -We need the bridge layer tank, call the HQ. Call for an EOD team and the HUMINT cell, we need to get info from that fighter´s gear but there may be bobby traps or IEDs; however we will have to identify him and take his body for a proper burial. -Yes, Sir. They left the area and a few minutes later a bridge layer tank arrived. As many other armoured vehicles in Erotema, it shares the same hull than the previously seen SPH and AAA tank. 7 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 7 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 7 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr This model can save obstacles up to 14 metres long (approx). A future version will have a longer bridge (the real Leguan tank can save obstacles up to 24 m). The first thing the tank must do is lower the front support. 8 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And after a short time the bridge is laid. The advantage of this sliding bridge is that it is difficult to be seen from longer distances, as the overall height is lower if we compare it with older bridge layer tanks. This model is inspired on the German Leguan bridge layer tank, in use in many European Armies. 9 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 9 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr So the tanks can cross the river. Let´s slip the dogs of war!!! 10 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Another member of the same-hull-family. The MBT has a 125-mm smooth bore gun, a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and a remotely operated 7.62 mm machine gun on the turret. 16 multipurpose grenade launchers (smoke or fragmentation grenades) complete the weapons array. As it has the engine in the front, it can be used as an APC. 11 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 11 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 11 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 12 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The bridge is left so other members of the COAC can enter Briolui with heavy vehicles.
