  1. Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka: Episode XI: Cracking Down I've been part of the rebellion for more than two years, so I got used to do all sorts of things. I visited numerous planets and met a lot of different beings. Many missions were successful and after some time, I was promoted in Alliance intelligence. I had to search for Boba Fett and report his locations to combat troops. But during those trips I learned many more things and if I complete my work in the next mission I may get promoted to a higher rank, Special force. But what exactly do I have to do? After unsuccessful mission in space, when Alliance fell in Empire's trap on Suprosa, all members involved must hide on Kuat. Furthermore, our mission is to crack the Super-computer or find a technician who will do it. I just landed on Kuat. In a secret underground hangar, to be precise. It was a hard trip, because I had to avoid Imperial trackers and I had to drive as fast as I could. I managed to get a quite good ship. Since I'm used to drive this kind of ship, I was happy to find out it has one large engine and one large wing. And it's small enough to squeeze almost everywhere. The hangar suprised me. I expected something a lot dirtier. I landed and got out of the ship. Instructions were to wait in the hangar, until someone comes to me and tells me furher instructions. During the waiting I took time to take a look of my vessel. I hope they will let me have it, I've been searching for something like this since I had to left my previous ship on Hoth. The ship is really small, but it has some nice weapons. Those small guns on the front couldn't be better for targeting TIEs. And that missile on the engine might be even a bit to heavy for this small vessel. I'm very satisfied with the engine, it's really strong, some small modifications could make it usable for a podracer. And the wing is quite well balanced. I just have to make some modifications on the back of the ship, It wouldn't be bad if it could hold some cargo. But I'll be thinking more about this ship some other time, I think I hear the steps ...
  2. Hi Everyone! - [snip] - ub39t21y3hok.jpg x8nyp4x59dgy.jpg asde3i2v4lf8.jpg y9n9ko7viayy.jpg Miniature Frigate Ship- approximately 500 pieces. Length is 7 inches, height is 8 inches, and width is about 1.5 inches. This project is actually on LEGO ideas. I'd appreciate your support! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/133047 For more photos, my flickr stream: https://www.flickr.com/gp/90319613@N07/6c0z8w
  3. Captain Jonathan Cooke had a habit of taking a morning swim, as life on the quarterdeck does little to maintain one's physical fitness. This day was no exception. His command the HMS Athena had just anchored nearby an uncharted island, and the crew was preparing the launch for an expedition to explore the island. In the meanwhile, Cooke had dived off the quarterdeck head first, and taken a long underwater swim. As he jumped, he had just missed the lookout shouting "Boat on larboard bow!", and had inadvertently headed directly for the strange boat. As he surfaced, a curious sight met him, as he saw a large canoe with four rowers and a helmsman at the stern. On the bow, a raven-haired, exotic beauty was standing in perfect balance with the waves, playing a strange flute, sending out harmonic tunes. Cooke was thrown into a trance-like state for a moment, until an oar missed his head by inches, and he was pulled back to reality. The natives seemed unaware or indifferent to his presence, and rowed on. Cooke placed himself low in the water and took care to observe every conceivable detail. He knew Montoya would appreciate any detail he could give. The canoe was outfitted with nets and weights, obviously for fishing, and the men all had painted faces. All wore adornments of brass or gold and their attire was made of a multitude of materials including both hides and cloths. Back on the Athena, Cooke shared his observations with Montoya, who had been observing the spectacle closely through his looking glass: "…but I wonder what that music was for… It was obviously a fishing trip!" Young mr. Baker suggested with an enthusiastic smile: "Perhaps it was to keep the rhythm of the rowers?" Cooke shook his head: "There was no particular rhythm to the music - it was more free flowing, like a song." With a fascinated look, Montoya leaned in: "It is probably part of a ritual - perhaps to please the gods of the sea to give them a good catch. Such is seen in many primitive cultures… Even the fishermen and farmers of Oleon are known to host similar rituals!" Suppressing a joke, Cooke the added: "And the canoe was of a most curious design… Long and slender, but very steady on the waves… I could not quite discern the construction techniques…" Baker and Montoya took elaborate notes as the discussion went on, while the crew was making the final preparations for the expedition. An expedition that now had a goal - the cove from which the canoe had come! _______________________ Thanks for viewing - I will be looking forward to your feedback - this is my first try at an underwater scene. Originally, I only had the surface part, but it seemed a little bare, so I added the scene below. Considering all the diver-sets I had as a kid, I really need to find a use for all those sea creatures!
  4. Looking out his window, Lord Maximilian Damaximus saw the "Margot" in front of the bay of Stedor. Fully equiped with 55 guns. Although they still are working on the rigging, he couldn't wait until she was seaworthy. He sighed, last month trade run was terrible. The "Knight of Stedor" had to return to it's first port, the "Appleseed" sunk and the "Sulky Harlequin" made only 98 db's profit (divided by 10 shareholders, that was almost nothing). If he ever wanted to get a licence for "Margot", it would take ages at the current revenues. Although the "Sulky Harlequin" made a terrible run, the way CSC licenced her was an example of innovation. And Maximilian was sure the odds will change the upcomming trade run! Time to do some business with the Corringtonlalanders. At the Stedorian Quays, the "Purple Rain" was packing some tradegoods. A decent fast and well-armed ship, ready to rock'n roll! -------------------------------- Captain Matt Lenoir was looking over the stern to Stedor. His new ship the "Purple Rain" just set sail to Terelli. He loved Stedor, the white harbor, the vibrant atmosphere, the dangerously looking fortress and especially the Governal Palace on the mountain, watching over the Bay. He looked to the Licence in his hands and smiled. Finally he had a decent ship under his command! Lord Maximilian Damaximus gave him even 2 Elite Guards to protect the ship. And as it is a joint-venture with some Corrington investors, two Corrington soldiers are on board as well. Even an important Corrington scientist has aboarded to join the journey! => the Corrington Scientist => Some of the cargo (there are some of the finest Felipe de la Manzana's apples in the cargo as well, but they can't be seen in this picture) => Captian Matt Lenoir ---------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching!!! the "Purple rain" is a 8-gun Xebec, which will be licenced as a Class 4 T2. C&C ofcourse welcome!! Here is the list of shareholders: The terms of the shareholders (Thanks to Bregir!) Can the shareholders please confirm they transferred the 45 db's to my account? (transaction form)
  5. The HMS Otter is a Letter of Marque for the Crown of Corrington, currently being used mainly to carry despatches throughout the New World, where speed of information is one of the strongest weapons in furthering Corlander interests. The painting below shows her carrying word of discovery of a new Island by the Montoya-Cooke Expedition. Owned by Don Isaac Montoya, the Otter has sailed in consort with the HMS Athena as part of the Montoya-Cooke Expedition, exploring the New World. Now she carries a despatch from Cooke, with the position of a newly discovered island and charts of a naturally protected harbour. Along with this comes the suggestion that a single platoon of Royal Navy Engineers could easily fortify the entrance to the port, and with a single battery command a perfect staging point for local development and further New World exploits. The HMS Otter is a large topsail cutter, built in one of the finest Oleander shipyards before the last war betweem Corrington and Oleon. She is swift and seaworthy, and can outsail most vessels when going closed-hauled to the wind, her best point of sailing. In the last days of the Juniper War, where Cooke commanded the HMS Athena (at that time still in the Royal Navy lists) he captured the Otter (then "La Loutre") and sunk a larger brig-of-war in a, at the time, rather celebrated naval action. Currently, she is manned by a group of volunteers, mainly former smugglers and men-of-wars men, under command of Lieutenant Roger McLeod. McLeod was first-lieutenant for Cooke on the Athena, and took charge of the prize crew, and later the current crew, as she was bought by Montoya from the prize agent. Armed with four 8 pounders per broadside, and two bow chasers, she has a bite to match her bark. Abtly armed and manned, she is more than capable of escort duty, privateering missions, or minor fleet action. ___________________________________________________________________ This was a fun build - it is built by the same hull-technique as the Sphinx, and I hadn't intended it to become so large. However, to get the shape I wanted, I had to keep upscaling it! On the upside, I actually got the shape I wanted! Plus, the rigging is easier to do on larger scale. As to the rigging, it is actually done by only a single piece of string (apart from the Lego string holding the gaff), and is strong enough for the vessel to be lifted and/or tilted by the masthead! As to rating, I would like to hear your thoughts. As she ended up rather large, I had to reconsider her rating. I am thinking class 3, maybe even 4, but I should like for it to fit within the spirit of the rating system. Below is a few more pictures (and there are more on Flickr). Thanks for viewing. C&C is, as always, more than welcome.
  6. The Ship Broker of Elysabethtown (note: 4th freebuild this month, so approvals are welcome!) (for the current list of ship for sale: check the end of this post or check here) Sir Botekoop loves his job. Being a Notary, he received a lot of respect across the globe. He also is the keeper of the "BoBs Ship Index". And now he has a new extra task! Helping people in New Terra finding their next ship! As he became responsible for the Elysabethtown office, he now had to start finding clients who put their ship for sale. But that wouldn't be a problem. Lord Maximilian Damaximus (his boss) is lobbying for a 3 db fee for every transaction. Well, time will tell how it will turn out. Suddenly, he hears someone entering his room: The notorious Sea Rat Captain Goldskull stands in front of him! "I am looking for a new ship!" "Yes ofcourse sir, please take a look at our current offer." "That one on top of the shelves looks fine, tell me more about it" "She is called the Raven of Oleon and belonged to a powerfull family from Granoleon. She has been captured by some Sea Rats after tricking the captain in a narrow delta. Now she is for sale! A fine Class 2 Small Sloop." "Sold! I will call her the Revenge of Bastion! Beware Brickseas!!" ------------------------------------ OOC: Well I really wanted to use those POTC bottles and to MOC the Ship Broker thing (as promised). As Elysabethtown is a newly found settlement, I choosed for a wooden construction with some hay on the roof to isolate. It was very challenging to SNOT the wall both on the inside as the outside :) Also, it will be licenced in February as atm I am out of DB's :D Approvals & C & C more than welcome!!! -------------------------------- Ships For Sale None atm, be sure to check this list next month!
  7. "What shall we do with the drunken sailor, early in the morning?" Well, setting sail ofcourse! Captain Ben D'Anvers was very happy with the trade he just did. The apples and swords he has in the cargo are very popular in the settlements he is visiting. The cargo is well covered by some soldiers and a 3 guns on both sides. Fresh apples from sir Felipe de la Manzana!! :D So ladies and gentlemen, if the Cutter "Knight of Stedor" is visiting your port, well be sure to welcome her friendly and buy the stuff!!! C&C welcome! Also, this is the third MOC this month, so approvals are very welcome!!! :D
  8. Pirate vessel off the port bow! Ready the cannons and prepare for battle! Three Masts 21B Here is the pirate vessel, the Terror. She now has Technic sails, as the original cloth ones were VERY expensive. The ship is 100% build-able, and perosnally I think it looks better with Technic sails than the cloth ones. I had the Black Pearl by M***B**** back way in 2007. I got it when there were no LEGO pirates offerings, (at least cheap ones!) I eventually destroyed it & threw it out (I think) Anyway, I had a massive pirates-meets-trains layout with a VERY long dock, and am wanting to get it started again, but with all LEGO parts. As of 8/31/15: this model has been shortened to a better length of 1 less bottom section and just 8 cannons instead of the original 10. This ship features: -Removable deck pieces -8 firing cannons -Revamped Angel statue -Raised captains quarters Also, the name TERROR is supposed to be spelled out the stern, just below the lanterns using printed 1x1 tiles. This flag goes above the rear sail: http://alpha.brickli...25pb008#T=C&C=1 Here is the LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1441049410m.lxf EDIT: and here is the Terror's adversary, the HMS Archangel: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=114065

[MOC] Small hull vessels - custom design

169A Hi there, as I am trying to keep up with my "one post per week on average" policy, here are two small vessels. The have a custom design and are actually quite small (as you would expect from the topic title): ... and here they are sailing away... Comments are welcome. Have a nice weekend!
  10. Historica is still an unsave place. Nobody knows what really happened to Victor Revolword and there are still groups of HoC-soldiers raiding villages. But in these dark times, Lord Damaximus will be married with Lady Julia Xavier, daughter of the Consul of Morastia. The marriage itself will be in Morastia, but there will be a big celebration in Mpya Stedor as well. Lords, celebrities, kings, troubadours, traders, ... from all over Historica and other places in this world will come to the city. Needless to say that in order to guarantee everyones safety, a lot of soldiers will patroll the city and the walls. As Mpya Stedor is also a (very rich) port, a lot of people will come by ship and they will all have to set anchor in the Ghuba-Ya Biashara (the bay in front of Mpya Stedor) . So to guard these ships, Lord Damaximus ordered some very fast and strong vessels. The flagship of those vessels is The Amazon. To add a little more prestige to it, the captain of the ship is nobody less then Admiral Bostoximus. Together with Henry The Sailor, he is teacher at the Mpya Stedor Naval Academy and is specialised in naval warfare. The captain of the naval troops is General Ivoximus. As their names indicates, they are both men of honour in the Guild of Ximus (otherwise they would have been called Ivo the Archer for example ) Anyway, "The Amazon": The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr without any minifigs: The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr Admiral Bostoximus' cabin: (with bed) The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr (without the bed, now the desk can be used) The Amazon by Da_Maximus, on Flickr The countdown to the wedding can begin Personal note: I didn't really planned to build a real vessel. I was trying to make a slave-sloop for in my city, but while constructing, I saw the opportunity to make finally a nice vessel If I had the right bricks, I would have done some things otherwise, but based on the collection availabe, I am really happy with the result I know the background could have been better, but it are exams for me, so I prefer spending my breaks with Lego instead of creating a nice background C&C is ofcourse welcome!
  11. Sir Handoximus, one of the finest diplomats Lord Damaximus could find, is send on mission. The Golden Swan, one of the fastest vessels of the Mpya Stedorian Navy will bring him to his destiny. The Captain (Captain Drijximus) is also one of the best captains in this world, graduated at the Mpya Stedor Naval Academy (wiki) What the destination is? Future will tell! => Sir Handoximus (with the red&dark blue armsleeves) looking to the wide ocean => Remind the first flag for in the future The ship is an gilded Armada Flagship (without Cannon). I think it is one of the only official ships that also fit in a medieval world as it really looks like a 15th century vessel! C&C welcome!!

    [MOC] Victoria de Oro

[pid][/pid] 145C This boat is based on the basic galleon design, but it's a little small for a galleon and it's not quite a carrack. So it's not historically accurate. It's going to be in my next big Pirate MOC which is all done, I need to get some good photos of it. Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
