First time poster here with a custom build I did based on tramcars that I've seen in the past. I've always liked the look of these and I wanted to design one that looked a bit more bold. I came up with this design in LDD and built it to keep rowdy citizens in my Lego city in line! It runs on standard Lego train track and I made it flexible enough to handle tight turns and bumps in the track. Each passenger car can hold 4 minifigures (a driver and 3 troopers). Here is my latest creation prepared for Brickfete 2016 in Toronto. Inspiration came from old pictures of Belgrade, Serbia. I have spent around 50 hours of building time during two weeks. The idea for this work has come from the LDD model posted by the member Mudoch17 here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=119791 The main rail car is built on a 9v motor using a 4,5v loco base and the wagon is built on a regular 16x6 plate. So, event they look similar, they were built in different ways. Hi all. I'm currently working on a new lego room and loft space and wondering what long term project to start I've had thoughts of the wisbeach and Upwell tramway rekindled. I've always planned a loft railway and this seems like a great prototype for a lego model. Reasonable flat... plenty of character and features on a 'small' scale. I've seen numerous lego versions of 'Toby' the tram and mavis but I'd want them powered. Last time I did lego trains was the 9 system. Could you tell/show me how the newer power functions is set up in the smallest possible space please? I'd love to see your small engines and diesel and find out how you squeeze everything in. Am i right in thinking there's 4 parts... the ir reciever and controller, motor and battery box? I will of course show my progress shortly! I present you the model of the city tram. The image of the collective, without reference to any original, but the wheels are. The model is easy to assemble, but, specialized items from a passenger train. The scale approximate. Lego City style. Waiting for comments. Tram can have only one car. So, you should not do. This nostalgic tram that has become a symbol of Istanbul, especially because I chose the color compatibility with Lego. White, Red, Black and very light Gray tones was really compatible. [MOC] Hong Kong Tramways Fully RC with LED This time for everyone Introducing my latest works - Hong Kong Tram Fully RC with LED Technic figure scale 1: 1 Recent I had found himself a little strange, always to build mining equirments or trucks, bus ... why I haven't to build local characteristics of the vehicle? So I PART 5 MOC flagship works as a Hong Kong Tram. This tram will not only just look, there is also abundant within the machinery, it can automatically switch on and off the door, it can automatically rotate the route marked, also it can walk in the city / sysiem train path. Hello, when I have seen the new LEGO City Town Square (60097) first in Nuremberg at the international toy fair, the Tram of this set was really the highlight. Since then, I thought about, how to motorize this train - and if it is possible. The good answer is: It isn't a big deal - and looks really cool. Now, the tram is a kind of 9V highspeed-train - if you want. This is my video - lets start the journey: What do you think? Best wishes Andres

Streetcar PCC 551 I had built a generic European Streetcar/Tram that I posted here and had then been shown images of a local (to me at least) Streetcar used in Kansas City. Once I saw it I knew I had to build it. This is an 8-wide, 48 stud long recreation of that Streetcar. The were a number of different paint schemes used in PCC 551's history including one with a black swoosh down the side, but this one is a later version. I used the red tile on a headlight brick to represent the KC Public Service logo which is the Scout image. Apparently the head of the KC Public Services department decided that the traditional split windows that normally come with the PCC looked old fashioned so he commissioned the new single pane approach. Here's an image of the doors - they're inset half a stud using jumper plates and made up of a combination of SNOT plates and tiles, L-shaped plates and Darth Maul's Light Sabers! Here's the door build details Of course there's an interior! With seating for 19 Passengers and standing room for a further 11. And one final shot of the Streetcar with a couple of passenger's who probably won't get it. Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome! Street Car / Tram I've been working on this for a while and to be honest I've struggled with scale. It started as a six-wide, got rebuilt as a seven-wide (fragile), then rebuilt again as an eight-wide (it looked enormous, but was structurally robust). Then I went back to a six-wide and added a 9v motor. I've also gone through a couple of iterations of window sizes - from 2x2's to 2x3's and back to 2x2's. But something still didn't quite look right so in the end I Bricklinked an order and built two versions so I could see them side by side and compare them. Here's the 6-wide version. It's powered by the 9v motor. Here's the 7-wide. It's currently unpowered and sits on a false bogie, but is easily modded to hold the 9v. And here's a comparison shot of the two together. So which one do you think I should send to the inventory bins? and which one should I use? Or should I scrap them both and start again? Comments, criticism, and ridicule most welcome.

From wiki : The four bays of balcony type tenement buildings form a continuous facade verandah facing Johnston Road. It is quite likely that certain parts of the buildings could date from around 1888.The buildings lie on land reclaimed before 1887.In 1966, the Yu Clan purchased the building at 64, Johnston Road and inscribed the Chinese name of The Hong Kong Yu Clansmen Association on the top verandah facade. Woo Cheong Pawn Shop at 66, Johnston Road was originally owned by the Lo family, a well-known local pawnshop trader for over a century. It is my recently MOC historical architecture and join ¡§Build a Wonderful Hong Kong¡¨ Bricks Building contest. I designed it with serveral rooms with the traditional HK scene. The classic HK vehicle and Tram is placed for the decoration. And I got the LEGO and dinner buffet prize from the contest! Luck and Happy! Hi everyone, Here is my latest build, Barrie's department store. It was inspired by a department store in my home city of Newcastle Upon-Tyne. I wanted to do a long building with a high window display and build something on a large scale. It comes with a fully furnished interior on 4 floors which consist of a food hall, home furniture, ladies wear and a restaurant on the top floor. The Winter Village Market is a busy place. Minifigs from all over the town are coming to enjoy all the stalls with mulled wine, pretzels and other delicious stuff. And of course all the good offers. The children have fun riding the carrousels and ferris wheels, and are amazed by trains and landscapes showed by the local LUG. All day long, the trams bring the minifigs to and from the market place. I think someone has been doing some shopping at the Grand Emporium today. And look! Look who's coming to town...
