  1. Hello, i'm new to Eurobricks and would like to introduce me and my "table town". My name is Ralf and i am an AFoL from Germany. My favourite Themes are (Classic-)Town (mostly 80ies and 90ies style) and Castle. My AFoLness lasts for 20 years now and for that anniversary i reconstructed/rearranged my town, called Lindburg. I use the 9V-system for my trains and MR for trams. The town has been apart for 7 years now and it was time to ... A lot wip there, but enough words: The oldest part of town, Sheeperstien (Shepard's Stone), mostly Tudor, partly due to a renewal, some houses done: the namegiving castle Burg Lindberg: the newer quarter Norderbruch, mostly from the 60ies: an 9V-adapted 7740 in action: a 6399 Airport shuttle tram crawling through a factory: the firestation (wip): view from the river: a last snapshot: more here on BS http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=526695 Greets, Ralf

    MOC: Transit / Airport Shuttle

Just thought I'd show you guys one of my newest little MOCs: a Transit shuttle. This shuttle has multiple uses in various cities/towns across the world. Most popular include transit and airport services. It also is one of my first MOCs to be completely pre-designed using LDD. Here's a YT video showing some features.

    Minifigure Stands

I have hundreds (literally!)... Any ideas what I can do with them? They're an annoying piece that I feel I should be able to something with... But have no idea! Any help? p.s. I have no idea whether this is the correct forum as there are far too many forums to choose from!

    [LDD MOC] Hotel

This one is a bit different than my usual vehicular MOCs, it's actually a building. I designed it a while ago and have made minor changes a few times since then. It's a modular hotel, but it's not only modular because it could potentially connect to official modular buildings, but also because you could add a few floors if you felt like it. Here's the smallest configuration you could get: You get a lobby in the ground floor, two rooms with balconies on the first floor, and a two-level suite at the top. But there's also this floor: It makes this hotel a modular modular building as you can add as many of these as you wish. It can be one: Or maybe two: You get the idea) So that's it. So far it's the only building I've managed to design and not be disappointed with how it looked when it was finished) I have to admit, though, there isn't much of an interior at the moment, and the sidewalk turned out really narrow. Anyway, hope you like it, would be happy to hear any suggestions. And if you like it enough and have plenty of spare pieces, here's a link to the .lxf

    MOC - Breakdown/Roadside Assistance Van

It struck me this morning, that we've had tow trucks and now a flat bed breakdown truck but no roadside assistance van so....... More to come so keep watching !
  6. Here I am again, sharing my LDD designs. Today I wanted to show you the following three. 1. American-style semi with a trailer: 2. Stunt car. It started as a copy of the incredible Ford Mustang MOC by 'Carbohydrates' (awesome name, by the way) that I came across here at Eurobricks. But I already had a lot of "borrowed" MOCs in my LDD Creations folder and decided to change it a little bit. The end result looks a lot like a smaller version of 8227 Dragon dueler, and that's because I really like that bottom curve. So here it is: 3. Racing truck. The front wouldn't be very sturdy if actually built, but I really like the way it looks with the winch and additional lamps. And unlike the stunt car, it can fit a minfigure: I would really like to hear your opinions) EDIT: links to the .lxf files - semi & stunt car and racing truck

    MOC - Multi-Storey City Building

It's been a few weeks since I posted any designs and with the coming of Town Square I decided to start designing buildings to join that set.....well when I can buy it. Through out European cities you can find small inner city hardware stores so here is my take on them. The painter's roller has come in just in time eh ? Now what's going on top....well either a second floor for giftware/kitchenware/glassware or a different business all together....an office of some sort....any ideas or suggestions ? Oh, an example of a real one I guess would be a good idea right ? Keep watching !

    [LDD MOC] School bus

Just a little post, this is a MOC I come back to from time to time and "polish" it. It's more of a "proof of concept" kind of thing, as many of the parts don't come in the colours I've used: EDIT: added a link to the .lxf file
  9. Hi everyone. Here is my latest modular building. It's a handbag store, called "Coveted Clutch", that is based on my normal avatar. The store is on the ground floor and there is an apartment upstairs where the store owner and designer of the handbags lives. The bit from my avatar is the left side of the storefront, changed a little to make it wider and taller. I think of it as Soho meets Friends. Enough babble, here are some photos. My favourite part - the first floor windows. Overview of the store on the ground floor: Dining, lounge and kitchen on the first floor: Bedroom and bathroom on the second floor: More photos on flickr. C&C welcome!

    Paderstadt

I have here a few pictures of my Lego town (Everyone has to have some sort of Lego city ). It's not the best, and is certainly a WIP, as you'll see. It's based off of a fictional version of the town of Paderbourne, where my Graphic novel and films are set in. I built the main locations of the films, plus some town essentials. Let's get started with an overview! It is fairly packed in the center, but the 'outskirts' of the town are sparse for now. I'll give a quick zoom in onto each building, and provide a screenshot of the 'real thing' too, if there is one. First is the blue house, General Vogel's. In the film, it appears very different, but this is what it'll look like in the novel, I based it off of what images I could find of German buildings, like these ones: When I get a chance, i'll post some more interesting photos of the interior and the small party going on. Next is a typical Lego house, white and red roofed: I really like the design of the creator houses, and I tried to copy a basic version of their designs. Sadly, I didn't make the house very accessible and i'll have to dismantle it to get inside In the darkness brought on by the shelves at the back is a nice, simple garden. It even has a fountain, made by three bricks, including a flick-fire missile. I'm going to build a fire station just opposite this house, and maybe a café on the other side of the road, but space is tight. Next is the star building of the films/novel, the Clinic! It 'belongs' to Edward, who is the main character, a low-budget doctor who's trying to get by in the war. He never finished medical school, but does his best to earn money in the town. He's the one in the foreground on the white motorcycle. If I had that Ron Weasley hair, it'd be much better for him! Anyways, here is a shot of the 'real' clinic. I only included the main part of the Clinic, which is where the building title is in that picture. I think I reproduced the general look of the building pretty well, and the interior will be closely matched too, but it's not made at the moment. Please don't ask me why it's called that, because I myself no longer remember why . Moving swiftly along to the upper part of town, which is in progress, 'Black Market way'. What a mess.. the building on the right will be a wooden shed, the Black Market. I could only find this bad picture: The building further up is the Taverne Fur Betrukene, which will have a brown base, and grey top for the windows. I'll also use either skeleton legs or those white 1x4 fences for the fence, i'm not sure which would look better. Finally, for the moment, is where the train station will be: I haven't really done too much with this yet, but there will be a train station, and on the side of the tracks on the right, there will be a Poker club, the base of the Resistance. I'll post more pictures once i make more progress on the town! Please leave me some CC on what to do, and what things the town could use to improve it, i'd really appreciate it. Are there any sets under €45 that would make a good addition? I'm thinking of a creator set maybe with birthday money.. Axle

MOC: 3 trucks of Lego Town

Time has now come for me to put some vehicles in what is threatening to become a full layout After milling around these forums for a while and gathering inspiration, I have ventured to start my own projects. Some of you (forgive me, I am horrible with names....) have been upgrading classic Lego vehicles, and I couldn't help but to want to try it myself. Specifically the tv-van, one of my all-time favourite sets, caught my attention, so that is where I started. TV-van Here is my take on a 6 wide version. I struggled a bit with fitting two minifig's next to eachother and fitting in seats, but I think I managed allright. It's gotten a bit boxy, and seems quite short, but I find that I quite like that. From the front right: Rear left: Obviously the antenna folds out. And the van easily holds a camera and film rolls. Containercarrier: (Or whatever it is called... ) Luckily, my brother visited me and got the same idea, only with a different set. (I am working on bringing him out of his dark ages, and I am starting to succeed ) Here is what he came up with. It wasn't easy to make the loader work with a longer container, but he managed very well, I must say. We both agree that it is a bit too red in red, but for a first build in a long time, I think he did very well! Semi: And here the third and last one. A semi to pull the trailers of Lego Town. Again, it seats two minifigs, and I find it turned out quite well. And I found a place to use my chrome parts! It's always a bit of a struggle for me to fit the wheels in without the arches I see many use. (And have very few of...) But for a semi, this solution works fine for me. And lastly a picture of them all together! Hope you like it! Comments and suggestions are welcome Bregir out

    MOC: A(nother) yellow house

Good evening, all. Now I am finally getting around to posting a modular I built a few weeks back, after seeing someone's (With names, I have the memory of a braindamaged goldfish... ) wonderful yellow modular. I had never thought a yellow house would work, but that set me straight! Without more babble - here it is. Facade: I am quite happy with the look of it. The ground floor isn't as good as I would like, but for now it works ok. It became a bank, since I had some windows from western Lego with a bank sign Back: I tried to make it distinct from the facade, and added some irregularities in the walls to make it look less "perfect". I quite like the little terrace on the top floor. Ground floor: It isn't just the exterior of the ground floor I don't agree completely with. The interiors are also a bit... meh... But at least the town now has a bank First floor: With kitchen, bookshelves and a dining table. Top floor: The top floor has a bathroom and a bedroom, as well as the terrace. Due to the construction of the roof, the access is very limited, unless par of the roof is removed. (Which isn't strictly "modularised), so to speak...) And here the three floors next to each other. And in my (temporary) layout: Comments and suggestions welcome. Hope you like it. Have a delightful day! Bregir

    MOC: Church of Mary Magdalene

Hello everyone! This is the first MOC i've ever built. It is the Church of Mary Magdalene, located in Jerusalem, Israel. The entrance to the church The side of the church with the circular tower. The other side of the church. This is my favorite part of the church. I think the gold dome is really cool! However I don't like the way I had to build the other domes. Thank you for looking! Hope you like it.

    Red sports car

This is a red sports car I made last week. I came up with the idea of the front end then I kind of built the rest from there.
  19. Hi everyone! Well, it's time to share a new MOC with you. The Monorail Emergency Train. The idea of such kind of equipment resulted from a derailing incidient on Brixe's monorail diorama during the last Fanwelt in Cologne, where the Farnheim Fire Department was called for technical assistance. So I started to create a special Monorail-based emergency and rescue vehicle. With that train the Farnheim Fire Department should now be well equipped for such future incidents. The train features an emergency module where evacuated injured passengers get first medical aid. The second supply module is equipped with lots of stuff for technical assistances and a huge watertank with a separated smaller foam tank. On the roof a big water cannon and a high reach extendable Turret (HRET) for structure fires nearby the railroad system are also installed. The electric drive has the advantage to evacuate passengers in heavily smoked tunnel systems. The train is sited in a special building near downtown Farnheim. Hope you like it. Thanks for watching. Critics and comments are very welcome as usual. Best regards, Farnheim
  20. While visiting one of my favorite haunts in my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia a couple of months ago, I asked myself, "why don't you MOC this?" After all, it's a smallish corner building, and it has some very unique and iconic design elements. So, I decided to give it a whirl. And within a matter of hours, I already had a basic outline of what I was doing. Here's a picture of the real thing, the Vortex Bar & Grill in Little Five Points: I knew the skull facade was going to be the make-or-break part of the MOC, so I decided to work on that first. And it took a few rounds of trial and error before I found something I liked. I did have to take some liberties to make it work in brick and keep it recognizable, but overall, I found myself happy with the build. So, here's some shots of the outside: Little Five Points was originally built as the commercial district of the Inman Park and Candler Park neighborhoods in the Eastern part of Atlanta. In the last few decades, it has become a center for bohemian lifestyles and subcultures. The neighborhood is filled with music stores, head shops, alternative fashion boutiques, and a variety of restaurants and bars. The Vortex's unique entryway makes it instantly recognizable in the heart of the neighborhood. Here are some of the folks you might be likely to see standing outside on a nice Spring afternoon: While the exterior was going to be an important thing to get right, the interior was another level altogether. The Vortex is filled with chotchkies, bric-a-brac, trinkets, and what-have-you, and there are some definite design elements that couldn't be passed over, even when scaling the building down to fit the Modular standard. The bar area, seen above, lifts out so that you can see the details behind the bar. The light brick which illuminated the bottles is activated by a button below the vent hood on the outside of the bar. Here is an exploded view of the whole building: And here's your cast and crew, thanking you for stopping by to look at my pics: You can find more pics of my creation in my Brickshelf or Flickr pages.

    Lego House - MOC

Hello! I made my own lego house with some furniture inside. It's not very big, but it's... cute! :P
  22. I would like to present my newest MOC to you, The Diamond Shop. This a narrow modular (8×32). It’s also a bit shorter (if you exclude the sunhouse which is located at the back). The reason for this is a shortage of sand coloured bricks. (Also my apologies for the quality of the photo’s, I’ve had to make do with an old camera which isn’t capable of very clear pictures.) Here are some more pictures of the front: And the back: The following pictures show the ground floor, first floor and second floor. As you can imagine, I had very little space to work with, so the interior that I’ve fitted in is reasonably crammed. I hope you like it and I look forward to your comments! Chroute I've just noticed a mistake in the topic title. It says "Diamon" while it should be "Diamond". I don't know how to edit the title so my apologies for this mistake!

    Town update - Feb 2013

Dear All, just added Cinema Palace to my town, I was pretty happy with the build I will change the layout soon, would you have any suggestion for a layout with all modulars (except MS) and 2X16 wide MOCs? And how would you liaise with suburban area (creator series..)? Thanks for your ideas! PC_5 par SwissBrick, sur Flickr
  24. Hi all, I'll wan't to show you my updated train/town Layout. You can find the photos here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=523275 Any comments are welcome. I try always to improve the layout. If you have suggestions for me don't hesitate do write it. Further plans on the layout: - underlay all with 32x32 baseplates - add railroad ballast - add a mountain with tunnels at the right side (monster house, fright terminal) to get some additinonal space for buildings - add a smaller hill on top of the moumtain-plane for the monster house BR, tmctiger Edit: I added a overview image of my layout to this post:
