  1. Hello All! This interactive MOC was created by me (technical part) and Cooler (design) specially for public festival and every guest tried to break it during long two days :) We call it “Claw” :) The words are unnecessary… Detailed photos: Thanks for watching!

    [MOC] Steampunk Typewriter

Hi everyone! I am sorry that I do not know which forum is more appropriate for this MOC, so I published it here. And sorry for my english)). Let me show you my new MOC, steamy typewriter, which was built for "Age Of Steam" contest on RFFL. Here it is: All keys are fixed separately, each in it's bar, they stay inside with clips, so every key can be really clicked. Here the whole English alphabet in qwerty- keyboard layout, numbers, dot and dash, the left and right shift, @ (there was not more appropriate sign in a set for business cards) There is such mosaic at each side. Thats all, I hope you enjoed! Comments are welcome. Have a nice day! Flickr
  3. This is model I have built back in the first half of 2012. I don´t have the physical model anymore, but I just found the pics I had in my archive and decided to finally post it. It´s a steampunk submarine, originated from a former pirate ship that was converted. It had no interiors. It was simply a tryout into this world I quite love and admire for its aesthetic richness but to which I had never dared to dive. So, here's my first steampunk adventure! :) There´s more pictures of it on my flickr. Just follow any of the links of the pictures! :)

    MOC: Alina

Here's a steampunk lady named Alina. I though this subforum needed something a bit less villanous after all the contest entries! As this MOC is quite a large, it was a long time in progress on my Bionicle building table. As usually with female models, I began building with the legs and advanced upwards. The skirt was one of the hardest parts, as I wanted something natural-looking but sturdy enough to stay together. It uses a net piece as the frame. The head was an another challenge, as building realistic faces with plastic blocks can be terribly hard. I think this one turned out quite good, though. It has more detail and shape than most of my female character faces that tend to be stylished and plain. There is more photos and talk on my blog. Enjoy!

    [MOC] Mechanical Bug

I always like insects. When I was young I often walked in the parks, gardens and fields, and cought bugs for my collection... I put some photos here, and others on my Flickr

    MOC: The Diver

Holy Diver, you've been down too long in the midnight sea. Old scuba suits are cool, so I ended up building one, using around 50% Bionicle/TECHNIC and 50% SYSTEM. More photos on the blog. Enjoy. It's pleasing to see that there is plenty of MOCs in the action figure subforum nowadays. The return of Bionicle seems to have an effect on it.

MOC: The Town Hall of Brasshill

Here's a big steampunk townscape MOC I build as a collaboration with Nomadig and InfamousQ for LUG exhibit on "Lelukauppa Pii Poon LEGO-rakennustapahtuma" that took place in Vantaa, Southern Finland last weekend. It features the Town Hall of steampunk city Brasshill with a bit of a lane and a park. There is an underground station under the Hall with the train arriving. A hostage situation is taking place in the hall, but it isn't going to be a very succesful one - There's the police at the doors, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on the roof and one the hostages is wielding a rapier behind her back... The MOC is inhabited by my purist steampunk minifigures. Se more photos and read more babble on Cyclopic Bricks, and above all enjoy your visit in Brasshill!

    crazy-for-steampunk's MOCs: Railmotor

I thought I'd show off a model here, thought it'd be a nice way to introduce myself too. I'm a Lego fan who loves Legos, Doctor Who, and steampunk. I've been building models in Lego Digital Designer for sometime now, and thought I'd start off with a steampunk-styled railmotor. I've taken some inspiration from a GWR Railmotor, a tramway car, etc, combined them into a steampunk-esque fashion, and combined them together into a steampunk-like railmotor. First up, here's a picture of the front bogey, which powers the railmotor. I'm not very experienced with making complicated valve gear, so I decided to go with a basic 0-4-0 wheel configuration and just some basic siderods. Here, we get a nice look at the inside of the undercarriage, showing the inside motion valve gear which powers the wheelset. I think it looks rather nice myself. Next, we have the boiler inside of the railmotor, located in the cab where the crew work. The boiler design is based off of a steampunk-inspired moc in the link here: http://gwenix.org/~adams/lego/balloon/index.html If copying or getting inspiration from other MOCs is against the forums rules, then I apologize, I'll have another look at the rules. Here is the right side of the boiler, which slightly differs from it's original prototype, having additional gears on the side as well as a larger firebox door. I originally wasn't planning on adding the gears, however I decided to add them anyways, just to give the design a more steampunk-inspired feel to it. Feel free to leave any feedback down below as well as any suggestions. I am also glad to accept any assistance with any of my models.
  9. Hey SteamWars-friends This is my interpretation of how the iconic Starfighter of Obi Wan might have looked in the Victorian Ages. Entry for the SteamWars-Madness on FBTB in the semifinals against Markus. And in addition i build a fitting HyperSteam-Ring for faster travelling through the SteamWars-Univsers: More photos can be be found here. All my SteamWars build will also be displayed in Skaerbaek. Probably the only chance to see them in "real". Good luck to Markus and thanks for stopping by. Best regards Jonas

    Steam Workshop

A large Steampunk creation displayed at BrickFair VA 2014! I used Mindstorms NXT to motorize the doors, the airship, and the winged flying machine. Previous Steampunk creations of mine took inspiration from the orient and the wild west. For the Steam Workshop, I wanted to capture the essence of Victorian England. The above image is linked to a video of the Steam Workshop in motion! A gentleman and his robot await the unveiling of a new airship! He is also having a picnic! Inventors and workers toil away in the workshop, working around the clock! Ladies and gentlemen watch their progress from above. Test pilots are always needed! Next to the steamy industrial workshop is a refreshing garden! A Steamcopter rests on a special landing pad. The Steam Workshop was Nominated for "Best Steampunk"! I hope you enjoyed this tour of the Steam Workshop!

  12. It is the Age of Steam! In the New World of America, The Wright Brothers Orville and Wilbur are pioneering Aviation. First contact with the Aliens left them both "touched" Wilbur gained a couple of permanent physical reminders but was also gifted with increased mental acumen and a deep knowledge of avionics. Orville a talented mechanic and test driver already was imbued with super keen senses and reflexes which served to hone his new craft as test pilot and crash test dummy extraordinaire! These are the fleshie versions. I will be doing slightly different colours with yellow skin for those who like their lego peeps old skool. Not sure what the rules are here regarding selling. if you like em pm me. Design details Initial torso design work sketched by me, improved by Roag. Developed to next level by Vic at eclipsegrafx with feedback from Guy Himber. Torsos have been pad printed by Citizen Brick. [MOC] Slave 1885

Hello Seriously, i wasn't sure where to post this. On the one side it's a Star Wars spaceship, on the other side it's build steampunky. (I hope it's ok to post it here. If not a Mod can change that hopefully :D ) The guys of FBTB making their MOC Madness 2014 and the theme it's: SteamWars My entry is the interpretation of the iconic Slave 1 in the victorian style. I hope you like it. More pictures can be found here. May the steam be with you Jonas

    [MOC] Steampunk walker

Hello. I'm new to Eurobricks. Might as well show off my creations This is a pibed walker made for one minifig. It took me ~a day to complete, and it was a very fun build! It's harder than it looks to get the legs in it's right position at this scale to make it look good, but also to make it stand upright well enough. Please comment about what you think. Please do check my other sites as well!! (and follow me!) Instagram Flickr Reddit

    MOC: Brenda

Many of action figure forum users seem to complain about the new chima chest armor having only one connection point... I think one ball socket is fine enough, but piece never looked very manly! This MOC started as a ordinary (well, not really ordinary) steampunk adventure gal (see concept art made on train), but after giving her a beret everything started to look so artistic, so I made a painting, a stand and paiting accessories. Everyone likes that sort of stuff, right? The figure itself uses quite a many parts from CHI Laval. The chest piece is the key element here, but I think that the add-on armors work quite well on the knees, too. The hair is from Laval too - it's not supposed to be on fire, but I think the bright color works quite well with the white skin (never enough tan, sadly) and earthy steampunk tones. There's more stuff on my blog too, and some extra shots on Flickr and Brickshelf.
  17. Above the barren and obscure wastelands near the Imperial London rises an odd and huge figure. But it is not one of the giants of the old age. It is a machine and it is a house, in fact it is the homely home of Mr. Edward Higgs, eccentric inventor and gentleman who definitely respects peace and desolation. Higgs's home is a typical home of an bachelor (at least on some aspects). There isn't that clean as there's no one to nag about things. As Higgs's inventing projects take some room (one of the three floors) and the machinery of the house isn't that small neither (it is an old steam sawmill tower) he has his bedroom, toilet and the old boiler room all in the same space. Isn't that handy? He doesn't have room for chairs around his table, but fortunately he can sit on the stairs while eating. The sewer system is also very compact and helps Higgs to avoid the sewage costs. As it would be troublesome and time-consuming to climb all the 32 ladders when coming home, Higgs has built a fold-out ramp for his helipack on the first floor. There is also a big steamp-powered hoister above the ramp to make it easy to lift heavy objects into the house. Another of Higgs's homely inventions is the big propeller on the wall of the first floor. It is not an air conditioning system, but a wind tunnel propeller that helps Higgs to make his airs vessels as aerodynamic as possible. This is my entry on the Home Sweet Home contest, category A. The house fits easily on 48x48 baseplate. I'm happy to be able to take part on this contest as steampunk is definitely my favourite theme and contest allowing that madness are not that common. This MOC was built and photographed in two days; late bird catches a worm anyway. More stuff can be found on Cyclopic Bricks, Flickr and Brickshelf.

[HSH] Cat A - Steampunk Kraken

Hello there I had some dark weeks without that much building, but the Home Sweet Home-Contest gave me motivation to build again. There are several cool Lego-Space themes, but i took the chance to build once again in one of my favorite Sci-Fi-worlds: Steampunk! "Every style-conscious Gentleman needs his home. Some have mansions at the sea. But why living at the sea when you can live in the sea?" -Sir Octavius- This is the home of the steamy gentleman Sir Octavius and the scene stands on a round base. The base is not nearly 48 studs in diameter, but i wanted to have space to play with the tentacles overlapping the border of this circle. All photos on MOCpages. Stay creative and steamy! *toof* *toof* Jonas

[HSH] Cat A - Rock Wranglers!

Looks like I still made the deadline! Rock Wranglers Rock Wranglers by rodiziorobs, on Flickr High above the desert plains below, Mr. Hezekiah Arrup checks his instruments in preparation for another day of work. Aided by his assistant, Sam Weskill, Mr. Arrup is one of the few brave pioneers who have popularly become known as “Rock Wranglers,” men who risk their lives in the pursuit of energy harvested from the skies—in the form of the rare and energy-rich triflutamine gas, that is. What is triflutamine gas, you say? It is an extremely rare, lighter-than-air substance which is generally found in rich deposits contained within floating rocks. Why, Mr. Arrup’s very base of operations is built upon one of these rocks. Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr The process is simple but perilous: when the two scout a viable sample for extraction, they fire a cannon with a winch and grappling hook at it, then reel it in closer until they can use the pick to open a hole just large enough to insert a tap and draw out the triflutamine. If the rock they wish to extract is not within range, Mr. Arrup sets out in his airship, the AeroCrow, and tows their home rock a little closer. Mssrs. Arrup and Weskill have everything they need to keep them for several months--of particular note (besides Mr. Arrup's precious weather instruments) is a triflutamine-powered vapor condenser, which collects water vapor from the air, purifying it and trapping it in a cistern for the adventurers’ use. This along with the small kitchen and sleeping quarters comprises Mssrs. Arrup and Weskill’s lofty lodgings, which they call home sweet home. Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Rock Wranglers! by rodiziorobs, on Flickr "Perhaps we should invest in a steam-powered drill, such as in this catalogue?" The MOC measures about 56 studs long by 22 wide; however, it fits easily inside a 48x48 space when placed diagonally. See more photos on my Flickr page: rodiziorobs

[HSH] Cat B - Mountain of Steam

Good morrow to thee, weary travelers. I have returned maybe for real this time. I don't even know. A docking station. Nay, a place for many pilots and crew to relax. Nay! A mountain! But, hark! 'Tis all of these things inside a mountain. Except, I guess...the mountain. Mountain of Steam This is the front. Ships and windows and mountain. This is the back. Same...ships and mountain. But, oop! You can't see the windows. And they can't see you either. Backstory? Nay. This mountain has and will always be a place for people to be safe and to dock their transportation.
  21. The infamous air pirate known as Dr. Bloom strikes forth from her remote island airbase, 'The Respite.' Her ship, the Indomitable can bee seen nearby. rotation_1 by chbenito, on Flickr docked by chbenito, on Flickr above by chbenito, on Flickr This MOC isn't what I started out to build. Originally it was going to be a space base, but while building a spaceship for the landing bay, I wound up building an airship instead. Once I had an airship, it was natural that I build some kind of steampunk airbase. I really like the way it turned out!

    [MOC] Automaton

Some may find this rather simplistic, and that may be true. On the other hand I also think it's an efficient use of a small amount of bricks (Also, it looks better in real life. Sorry for the shoddy photography). What do you think? Full album: http://imgur.com/a/dvy9X

    MOC: Twisted Victorian

This odd building appeared into Palikkala Town's House fair on one misty Thursday evening. The origins of the house was unclear, but some thought it was from another time and century and somewhat associated with an odd incident of disapperaing house in 1867. An odd fellow with cardigan and trilby hat was seen on the stairs drinking morning tea... This house was build for Finnish LUG Palikkatakomo RY's contest on Model Expo (a big scale model show thing) where we had an exhibit. My house was third (on a ranking shared on two entries) on a visitor voting. Hope you like it! There's more on Cyclopic Bricks and Flickr.

    MOC: Steampunk trio

Firstly, I'm not sure if this belongs to the Sci-fi or the other themes, but decided the put on the latter as there isn't anything partciculary science fiction in the MOCs and they are not in minifig scale. I built these three steampunk girls partly inspired by the new ball joint system (ironically used only on one MOC). I have built many Bionicle characters and also SYSTEM Hobbit dwarves, so character building is kind of "my thing". These are in smaller scale than those, so it was quite fresh challenge. Miss Izzy Orchard is a coquette with adventurous mind and always useful utility belt. Gail Nealor Lyner is a heroine and adventurer. She always has her flinlock ready, and oh boy she's a fast puller. Cynthia Quegan Muskell is an engineer and airship pilot. She's the brains of the outfit and wears probably a bit more practical clothes than the others. Hope you liked the gang! There's more pics in flickr (1 2 3) and more stuff on my blog Cyclopic Bricks (1 2 3).

With a topper, and a monocle, because I can. the image is a link to the gallery and here's a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DiM_c8M9PY (why can't I make the integration of the video works! damn my stupidity.)
