    [MOC] M-Tron Spaceship Transporter

Hello Dear Eurobricks Members :) Every project which I made in M-Tron space had wheels, but M-Tron is in space, so it will be nice to have something which can fly ;) So I am proud to introduce to you my first M-Tron spaceship :) This is small and fast transporter to carry M-Tron containers. Comments and advices are welcomed :) M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr M-Tron Spaceship by Ryszard Bosiak, on Flickr
  2. This model was taken from a Rebrickable MOC of the LEGO Worlds spaceship "PUG-Z" that user "TOB1 bricks" recreated here. I took the free instructions' MOC, and changed them (I removed the toilet, as it was causing problems with the roof) and altered the colors from orange, yellow, and bright light orange to a predominantly black and red model with some light / dark grays thrown in for good measure. I also modified other parts of the ship, making the radio antennas a bit shorter and adding trans-green "freeze" blasters to the ship where the forward-facing lights used to go. The rear of the ship has this 2 x 2 round symbol for the ship's owner / affiliation, along with tow small booster rockets alongside the main engine. The top opens up / out and the computer wall folds down to become a bed. (I had to take the toilet out as it wasn't playing nice with the roof in LDD.) Oh, and the landing legs fold backwards for flight. Here we see the owner of the ship (and his laser pulse rifle), who is a methane breathing reptile-like alien named Zath-ann. He wears a rebreather to properly function in oxygen-based environments and doesn't take it off in his ship because he hasn't got it converted to a methane-orientated life support system yet... it's on the to-do list though. Special thanks to Carl Greatix (designer for TT games) & Mark Stafford for the in-game model. Any thoughts on this MOD? Comments, questions, and complaints always welcome!

    Old Memories, New Dreams

I was 8 years old when I got my first Lego Classic Space set LL918. I remember I spent hours with catalogs looking at LL924 and the Galaxy Explorer LL928. When I got LL928 from my grandma I was thrilled and couldn't let go. I even took it with me on holidays. Galaxy Explorer Dropship by Giorgio Chronas, auf Flickr A few years later I saw the Galaxy Commander in the store. At the time, due to my father's job, I was living in an a developing country in Africa, where Legos were very rare. I was gazing at the store window, nearly paralyzed and probably with a wide open mouth. I had just past my birthday and for Christmas time I would have to wait a long time. As quickly as I could I ran back home broke that piggy bank into pieces, took everything I had and ran back to the store. I still remember the feelings I had when building this spaceship and looking at every new part as if it were yesterday. Galaxy Commander Dropship_1 by Giorgio Chronas, auf Flickr Now, decades later, being an AFOL I still love space topics, specially neo classic space models from other Afols. A few years ago I remember seeing Wolf Leews modernized version of LL928 (and 924 and 918) in LegoIdeas and having exactly the same feelings. I tried to push it in LegoIdeas but unfortunately it did not make it to the threshold. Wolf Leews, if you see this post, thanks for sharing the instructions. I have your models in my showcase ever since. The idea of an own classic space model did not let go of me. It took me again years of thinking how to approach this topic. My problem was I wanted everything. I wanted to have a command centre, several spaceships, some robots some cool versatile and functional vehicles, a garage where the vehicles would go for repair, a habitat, a repair bay for the robots. And I wanted the antagonists as well: Blacktrons! And I wanted everybody to build up his own space station. Uff! Galaxy Explorer Commander Dropship I knew this was impossible. Then my Lego Pueblo came to mind. It was a 4in1 set proposal at LegoIdeas that you could buy multiple times and stack to each other building up your own Pueblo village. My Lego Pueblo did not make it to the threshold but if I did such a concept once, maybe I could do it again. Many months of thinking and planning what to do, which bricks to use, color scheme, how to combine classic space with Blacktron, drawing and doing research followed. Then I started building. The target was a 3in1 space creator set with three different scenarios that you could combine forming a big space centre. Each scenario should have its own theme and its own playability concept. At the same time some models of one scenario should connect to models of other scenarios, so at the end you have one big unity. I also needed a story. As I love sci-fi and astronomy this part was the easiest one for me. What came out was space station "Antares", a 3in1 space creator set, where New Classic Space searches for Legonit ressources and Blacktrons trying to steal it from them. One alternate build is the Mining Outpost, the other one is the Bot Repair Bay and one is the Galaxy Dropship. 9 Antares Classic Space3x by Giorgio Chronas, auf Flickr With the Galaxy Dropship I combined the features of the Galaxy Explorer and the Galaxy Commander and built a mashup that had its own look. Like the Galaxy Commander the dropship can be split into a space fighter and the cargo bay. Like the Commander it may hold a space lab. But it also may hold a space buggy like the Galaxy Explorer. Since the space buggy is from scenario Mining Outpost, I decided it may also hold the truck from its own scenario. Then I continued. The Galaxy Dropship may hold the trailer the fuel or plasma tanks or even a small space fighter which actually is the cockpit of the robot of scenario Bot Repair Bay. The set seems to be huge, too big, but actually it is only big when the set is acquired multiple times. As a single set it has less bricks than the biggest official LegoIdeas set. I hope you like it and support it at LegoIdeas. It is another attempt to bring back some space without StarWars. 5 Antares Galaxy Dropship by Giorgio Chronas, auf Flickr 6 Galaxy Dropship Hangar by Giorgio Chronas, auf Flickr Guys I do not want to bore you too much. Please take a look for yourself at LegoIdeas. [MOC] Mr Moon

Here is Mr Moon: Wind the handle, Mr Moon will roll his eyes as another spaceship orbits him looking for a place to land… "Hooray, we’ve planted our flag!" Oh, looks like Mr Moon blew the flag down again! I'll be upfront, I did this for the ongoing LEGO IDEAS 'Out of this World Space Builds' contest. But, It wasn't always mechanised though, I agonised about my initial idea which was just going to be 'The man in the moon'. I thought I could do a simple Brick Sketches in homage to Chris McVeigh. I just felt that it lacked pizzazz! So I noodled about adding Classic Spacemen, and microfigures and flags, but it just felt like a perfunctory attempt. After talking with an artist mate of mine [a muggle or Noffler (Not A Fan oF LEGO) as I like to call them] I decided to try to add some form of movement. Here is a little video of the mechanism I eventually got to work in action: If the video doesn't play properly, it can be found here too (turn off sound though - my kids are doing homeschooling in the background!). I'm kicking myself a little because there was a prototype mechanism using the yellow racks I had and some more dbg and brown technic pieces that I appear not to have documented photographically :-( Someone on IDEAS has suggested adding the option of a cow to replace the spaceship with if you wanted and I love that idea. I'm close to the 250 part limit. Some trimming is possible in the part count of the mechanism I think owing to a lack of parts in my collection. I actually spent about £15 on a couple of Bricklink orders that included the black curved gear racks and a couple of bigger black plates. I'm going to have a play to see if I can figure something out... guess I'll be buying a cow sometime this week! I feel like I need a disclaimer, I realise I don't post much on Eurobricks, I'm more of a lurker here in the last few years (this was after I realised I was saying the same things in a few places!). I do feel bad for asking for support, but I really would appreciate the extra exposure sharing this here hopefully gives my submission. Please accept my apologies if you feel I'm being mercenary by posting this. For anyone who is willing to make a comment or lend support to my submission, my entry can be found here. I appreciate any thoughts or criticism and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
  5. What do you do if you get 28 mudguards in a LEGO bulk buy? Yes, that’s right. You build a spaceship with them. Meet ACE (Asteroid Crystal Excavator). This chap braves the perilous boulder belts of our Solar System drilling into asteroids and filtering them through the gills either side of his ship searching for precious metals, gems and relics. He can also catch anything that tries to float away using the ships rear mounted pincer grips. And all that booty is stored in convenient compartments either side of the engine for the long trip back home. [MOC] - R4-1L Precision Fighter

This is the R4-1L Precision Fighter. The second ship in my fleet of Neo Classic Space inspired attack vessels. Its a small ship fitted with a very large Railgun. A gun which needs cooling via the pipework system on the left of the ship after every shot. The flipside of this is that it's a one shot kill weapon. There are loads more angles on this moc in my Flickr album here for anyone interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72157713214587157 Thanks for looking :)
  14. This has been my first LEGO MOC, I designed this on BrickLink Stud.io after Porsche collaborated with Star Wars to make their own spaceship. When I first saw their design I instantly fell in love with it, and I thought I might just make that in LEGO. Thanks to everyone for taking a look. Pictures

    Razor crest 1:125 scale

This is my final build of 2020. The razor crest from the mandalorian in minifig trophy scale. It has opening rear and front doors as well as FULLY RETRACTING LANDING GEAR. Really proud of that. The nose angles were inspired by jaeracs awesome model. Its pretty solid as long as you dont squeeze the side panels too hard. I plan on funishing the interior when I make the instructions. [MOC] SHIPtember: The M.O.C.H.A.

The M.O.C.H.A. An E-7 explorer short-range scout vessel, intended for spatial reconnaissance missions and troop deployment. With enough space for a crew of six and a small vehicle, the M.O.C.H.A. is equipped with two laser shooters (one up front and another next to the cockpit) and a single-powered 16 ion-drive thruster. This beauty tops on 102 studs length. It was planned and built between September 13th and September 30th. This is the first spaceship I've ever built and I can't figure why I haven't done this before. It was a blast! Running through some difficulties - a weak structure, lack of plates, lack of tiles and color scheme troubles, to name a few - just made me want more of this, and I couldn't be happier with the result. Hope you all like it. Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Built for SHIPtember 2020 Louis of Nutwood
  20. Today, I am proud to present you my I-XTS (Intersystem eXtended Transport Ship). When I discovered the release of the 75293 Resistance I-TS Transport set, I immediately imagined to make a bigger version. When SHIPtember started (one month to build a ship of at least 100 studs) then I decided to actually build it. So the base concept was easy: increase the length of the standard I-TS set up to at least 100 studs knowing that the original is only 43 studs long. Because of the extended length, the ship name was easy to find. The base design concept In the SW universe, it is common to find extended versions or variants of a base design. Look at Star Destroyers, Calamarian cigars, Corellian corvettes, YT variants, all these nice ships we see in Dark Empire.... But ok, just increasing the length is easy. Still ensuring that the resulting design is attractive is another topic Instead of having a single cargo bay, I decided to go with 2 bays with a small central module to create texturing and shape variation. Globally, it works: With a widened and detailed cockpit, 2 large cargo bays, and an larger engine section, the ship is coherent. Please note as well as the ship backbone is 2 studs wider than the stock model. Technically, there was nothing too challenging in building the backbone based on the I-TS instructions. Just add technic bricks until you reach the desired length, and abuse of technic pins to make everything fitting together. In the end, it is robust. The result I-XTS profiles by Veynom, on Flickr I-XTS details by Veynom, on Flickr I-XTS inside by Veynom, on Flickr Anio pointait le manque d'espace dans la soute cargo .... moi, je peux facilement y loger un Bantha. Some reviewers complained about the tight cargo area ... well, I can put a Bantha in each of my cargo bay. Fine, taking decent picture of this long ship is more difficult than actually building it. If you're interested in the constructions steps, please see below. It took me around 30 hours spread over 10 days. Day 1: After the first hours, the backbone is ready. It measures already 96 studs and has the correct shape. The location of both cargo bay is already defined. The extra width (2 studs) is very noticeable. SHIPtember 2020 - day 1 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 2: The top of the ship is becoming wider to match the original shape. The side supporting structures are in place and the central section start showing how it will look like: a kind of mirrored of the front section (just behind the cockpit). Clones have been supplied as re-enfircement to speed up the construction process. SHIPtember 2020 - day 2 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 3 Time to play with the engines (port side). Size seems fine from the first try ... and the ship officially goes over the 100 studs threshold. Building the engines and the supporting pod was quite easy based on the original instructions. It was even fun. SHIPtember 2020 - day 3 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 4 After the engine, the bow. The cockpit is twice wider than the original I-TS and is the larger section of the ship. Initially, I wanted to put 2 minifigs inside but I failed due to some structure constraints as you will see below. From this day, the length is around 110 studs. SHIPtember 2020 - day 4 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 5 I wanted to detail the cockpit further and that consumed a lot of time. Finally, after too many build-unbuild-rebuild phases, here is the result. Detailed inside, slick outside. In the end, I liked how the modified plate with rail perfectly fits on top of the panel 1x2x1. Sadly, I had to drop my initial idea of putting 2 minifigs in the cockpit. SHIPtember 2020 - day 5 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 6 Now that both the bow and engine designs are complete,d it is time to work on the main body. The core section is taking shape and the same pattern as the original I-TS is mirrored to provide the final design of the transport ship. The large cargy bay doors and panels are being worked on. As of right now, 8 technic bricks are missing but these are on their way to my home. SHIPtember 2002 - day 6 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 7 Almost there. The bow is considered as completed and the design should not change anymore. I also reached a satisfying balance between greebling, texturing, and colors. Again, it required a few build-unbuild-rebuild phases (same player, try again) but ultimately, it is good looking. But it is about time as we are on the 24 of September with only 6 days to go before the deadline. And the cargo is large enough to hold a Bantha! Achievement! SHIPtember 2020 - day 7 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 8 This is copy/paste day. If it works in one location, then I copy it everywhere. As I received the technic bricks, I could complete the cargo bays. Then the 2nd engine pod. 5 days before the deadline and still the rear section is not over, without mentioning the core section. SHIPtember 2020 - day 8 by Veynom, on Flickr Day 10 Job done! Intersystem eXtended Transport Ship by Veynom, on Flickr A simple yet elegant transport ship, if you ask me. And now the question, could you spot where this part is used ? Minifig, cape plastic
  21. Over six months ago I posted this starfighter, which won Best Medium Space MOC at Brickfair VA 2019, and received some really good advice for improving the build. For the Mk. II build, I worked on the colour blocking as to differentiate primary hull paneling (red) from more delicate "technical" areas (black and some bits of dark bley). I also improved the cockpit layout as well as trying to make the weapon/engine pods look more modular. There are some additional changes to the space-frame itself, especially to the internal scaffolding for better structural integrity. Overall, this is far closer to the vision I had for the design of the original Asterion. This MOC was going to be attending Brickfair VA 2020; however, since said LEGO expo was cancelled for understandable reasons I am posting the MOC here instead! Let me know what you all think! More photos on this MOC's Flickr page!
  22. Always loved the unique design of the Arwings from Starfox. Many cool Arwing MOCs already out there but with this I especially aimed for the classic blocky design from the original game (which is the best, imo) and I tried to keep it as small and simple but also as recognizable and playable as possible. Now that Lego has partnered with Nintendo a Lego Starfox franchise might be a thing?!?
  23. Introducing Cpt. Jean-Mech Picard! When I came up with this idea, I thought this was probably quite a common concept for a Lego MOC. turned out it wasn't so, but now I also know why... it took me forever to design a mech that could fit into the model of the Enterprise. So here it finally is. Thanks for checking this out. For more pics head over to bricksafe.com and if you're interested in building one for yourself, instructions are available (though not for free, sorry) over at rebrickable.com. Battling Robo for top shelf domination!!! Live long, and prosper!
  24. Hey all, I don't know if this MOC is technical enough to be posted on the Eurobricks forums, but I wanted to share with you my current build of the first starfighter MOC I built after coming out of my dark age. It is designed to be a multi-role starfighter, equipped as both a heavy reconnaissance and strike fighter. The Stormdrake is outfitted with three powerful magnetically thrust vectored fusion drive arrays, heavy shields with numerous emitter vanes, a host of sensors and scanners including an advanced reconnaissance imaging and analysis suite, plus a high-gain sub-space radio antenna located on the aft ventral side of the ship. The fighter is armed with four particle beam-lance cannons as well as six plasma-burrowing thermonuclear anti-capital ship missiles. On a build note, the more I worked on this MOC, the more it took on a vaguely draconic appearance, especially the landing struts. A bit of fantasy whimsy in an otherwise sci-fi setting. The inspiration for this MOC came from designing a main hull similar to the Liberty Patriot light fighter from Freelancer alongside wings that vaguely resemble the Vagyr assault craft and lance fighters from Homeworld 2. The role/classification of this starfighter was also inspired by the modern-day combat roles of the F/A-18F Super Hornet. Anyway, thanks for checking this MOC out and let me know what you think!
