After completing the Imperial Troop Transport, I started looking back at some of the 80's toys from Star Wars, I came across some un-produced stuff. I have seen them before, but, for some reason. I got the idea to make the SRV-1. It's a cool little vehicle used to recover snowspeeders, transport troops, or carry cargo. Both cockpits open, cannons both rotate 180 degrees, bed tips, loading ramp folds up, and there is a winch in there. I really wish those windscreens came in trans-black, but, trans-blue doesn't look too bad, I guess. This model is comprised of 768 pieces and holds 4 troops, a driver, navigator, and 2 gunners. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Thanks, Jamie

Star Wars T-47 Airspeeder Since I have built the AT-AT in Microfighters scale (gallery), I have decided to build it’s film counter partner – the T-47 Airspeeder in winter edition, better known as the Snowspeeder. The model sports movable flaps, two firing darts and retractable tow cable with an anchor. The model can be flown by a single pilot, but it was designed – as the original – to be a two-seater, with rear gunner. Depending on that configuration, either the gunner or the pilot fires (throws :)) the tow cable anchor. Finally, the cut scene from the Empire strikes back: Approach to targer… …successful attack on the walker, the tow cable attached to the AT-AT’s leg… …one AT-AT down!!! and… …well, who forgot to detach tow cable, also bites the dust (snow)… Full gallery on Flickr.

This is my MOC of the Incom T-47 airspeeder, more commonly known as the snowspeeder. It features a tandem cockpit with room for two minifigures, a one piece opening canopy, swiveling rear harpoon gun, and postionable upper and lower airbrakes. [MOC] Midi Incom T-47 Airspeeder (yet another Snowspeeder)

I borrowed the wing connection mechanic's idea from a different rendition, one I came across a while ago. I wish I could find it again so I could give credit where it's due but for the life of me I've not been able to come across it again. Should anyone recognize the pivot point approach I've used please drop me a note as I want to give credit where its due. I went through three or four incarnations of what I thought the cockpit canopy should look like and sadly this was the best I could come up with at this scale. I'm still not 100% happy with it but anything else I could come up with was even worse. I could find very little in reference to the underside of the T-47 but what little I could find appeared to show an intake scoop towards the aft so I've tried my best to model this as well.
