  1. These two are among the most beloved Discworld characters - Esmerelda "Granny" Weatherwax and Gytha "Nanny" Ogg. Granny has her pointy hat full of hatpins, big iron boots and bump-starting broom. The details of the cloak are somewhat inspired by Paul Kidby's art. Nanny has her wide grin, red boots and a banjo to accompany the dreaded Hedgehog song. These two were on a WIP stage for a year or so. Not the hardest build ever, but it was somewhat challenging to capture the essence of these characters in brick. They will be displayed in Worldcon in Helsinki next week, too. More photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks, as always.
  2. Pate-keetongu

    [MOC] Bursar

Good so be would you if, duff plum of helping second A. Bursar (by Sir Terry Pratchett) My newest character from Discworld, Bursar the crazy wizard. The main idea here was to capture a glint of his madness with unlevel eyes. I also managed to include details from different books, like bare feet (Reaper Man), crossbow bolt (Moving Pictures) and new jar of dried frog pills (Hogfather). More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  3. The Lecturer of Recent Runes, a member of the Senior Faculty of Unseen University, the greatest magical university in Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld. Not very important character in the books, but I the UU wizards are my favorites, so important part of my task to build Ridcully's faculty. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  4. Pate-keetongu

    [MOC] Sergeant Littlebottom

Sergeant Cheery Littlebottom, Forensics department of Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Former alchemist and the first dwarf to express her feminine gender in the city. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  5. Pate-keetongu

    [MOC] Lu-Tze

Lu-Tze, or The Sweeper, is an old, wrinkly, bald smiling man, master of martial arts and sort of a policeman of time. But mostly just a sweeper. Based on a Discworld character by Sir Terry Pratchett. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  6. The old-fashioned backbone of Ankh-Morpork Police force - Corporal Cecil Wormsborough St John "Nobby" Nobbs and Sergeant Frederick Colon. These two are among the most iconic Discworld character, so I had to build them! More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  7. Pate-keetongu

    MOC: Commander Vimes

My newest Discworld build (which are both here and the Other Themes Subforum...), The next Discworld character is Sir Samuel Vimes, His Excellency, His Grace Duke of Ankh, The Blackboard Monitor and the Commander of Ankh-Morpork City Watch. Sam is here in his trusted old Night Watch uniform with dim and rugged breastplate, slightly rusty chainmail and second-hand boots. I also built a baton as it felt like suitable copper accessory. More can be found on the blog. Enjoy!
  8. Last Thursday, 12th of March 2015, world lost one of its greatest writers, Sir Terry Pratchett. This creation is dedicated to his memory. Mustrum Ridcully, the Archchancellor of Unseen University, is my favourite Discworld character. This creation was result of two days of intense building, beginning with the beard and finishing with the hunting crossbow. There are more photos on Cyclopic Bricks.
