    Sci-Fi Month Feedback

First all, apologies to all the amazing Winners for the delay on shipping out the prizes, it took me 3 nights, 2.5 rolls of tape and 2 trips to the hardware store, but all prizes are packed and will be shipped out tomorrow. With that, I'd like to ask for a bit of feedback to everyone ... To make future contests even better: What did you like? What didn't you like? What could I have done better? If you didn't enter, what could I have done to make you more interested? What do you like better? Trophies or Prizes? or both? What other comments do you have for Sci-Fi month ? Thanks! Simon

    MSFC: Planet Neolivor

As the resources on planet Earth were almost empty, mankind started colonising other planets. One of those planets full of very needed resources was the planet Neolivor, some weeks travelling from Earth. But as those planets have no Ozon-layer, engineers built big domes over the cities so the colonists could live just like on Earth. In the following 2 pictures, you will see a part of the Capital, a part of the dome and a part of the planet: As you can see, the colonists even could grow trees in their cities!! Also very typical for the colonist cities are the huge "skyscrapers". In the right of the previous picture, you can see a Futuristic Transport Van (FTV) entering the city through a portal, defended by a gigantic solar beam canon! The colonists inside the city can only transport theirself by foot or by the Neolivor Innercity Public Transport (NIPT). Goods and tradeware are transported by the FTV's In next picture you can see a FTV, a NIPT-coach, a battleship and a transport ship: I already built this in the first week of January but I intended to improve it a bit. I didn't really had the time anymore for doing that, so here it is. Also congratulations already to S-M for the big succes of the MSFC!!! There are a lot of really amazing entries C&C ofcoures welcome!

    FAPC: Invasion of Teddy Bears

It's the year 2013, A fresh new company starts producing cute little teddy bears. Super quality for a very cheap price! Every child in the world wants to have one, even the kids of the Presidents and greatest generals. Little do they know that when they are asleep, the Teddies come alive and search for important information. It's the year 2015, Little Jimmy wakes up and notices that his Teddy, mr. Cuddle, is gone. While trying to find him, he suddenly hears a strange noise outside the house... The invasion of the Teddy Bears has begun... Equiped with high tech battle mechs, the Teddies are flying over the cities, shooting at everything that moves. Once the biggest obstacles are eliminated, the battle mechs land on the ground and transform to their ground mode, able to step and shoot at every direction they want! (air mode) (Ground mode) I made an extra challenge for myself: build something with bricks coming from one set (Creator set 5764) It was sometimes very tempting to cheat, but in the end I am very pleased with the result It has a very great playability as it can transform from Air to Ground Mode without rebuilding something. And I will be honest to you, I am already playing with this thing the whole day C&C welcome!!

    MSFC: The Secret Factory

MSFC: The Secret Factory Here's my build for the MSFC contest. It is the Secret Factory. You will notice the abnormal rock work and the factory and ship.No one knows what is made in the secret factory, but you probably don't want to know. It's a top secret factory in a confidential location. It is not a closed factory, there is always smoke coming out of the towers, always. And a close-up of the ship and factory. Here's what they call the gap. A stream flows through the two rocks. For more info and pictures, visit my flickr C&C are always welcome!

    Sci-Fi your Avatar Contest!

Sci-Fi your Avatar What you have to do: Change your current sig fig or avatar and give it a Sci-Fi twist! Maybe your avatar will be assimilated it into a greeble collective, or streampunk up your sigfig, or send hurtling back in time! Edit: (If you don't have an avatar, or a Sci-Fiy one already, create a Sci-Fi one! (or an even Sci-Fier one!) Example: Before / After Rules: Change your avatar to a picture of your newly created Sci-Fi and then post a small picture of it here as well for posterity. Good photographic skills are recommended. If a voter cannot see your entry clearly, they probably won't vote for it. After the deadline for submission has passed, I'll put up a voting topic where all members will be able to vote for the best new avatar. Prizes: The top three entrants will receive a special Sci-Fi tag for their EB profile. (Note: a tag is not a physical object but just a fun little piece of forum flair.)
  11. Forbidden Animal Planet With the release of all the new Friends animals - Eurobricks has decided to create our own Sci-Fi theme in the form of a Contest! The idea is take a stock LEGO animal and Sci-Fi it. So simply take the minifig out and put an animal in, all the while seamlessly combining it into a Sci-Fi MOC! Will you build a Monkey Mech? or a Steam Punk Snake Pirate Ship? or a Scorpion Space Station? or Retro Sci-Fi Rat Rocket? or Time Traveling T-Rex's Transformer? or Frankenstein Frogs? or Dystopian Dogs City? Still don't have an idea on what to build? Well take a spin on the Eurobricks Animal Planet Randomizerâ„¢: Watch it in action: And the Eurobricks Animal Planet Randomizerâ„¢ has decreed: Kitty Steam Punk!
