    [MOC] Despair

A scene of a bathroom, where in the bathroom mirror you can see a woman sitting by the window feeling despair. I'm also showing two "behind the scenes"-photos.
  2. This is one of four models that I built in 2016 for a book with a LEGO scene for each US president, that unfortunately didn’t work out. Portrayed here is Calvin Coolidge’s Address to Congress, which was the first in the US to be broadcasted over radio. You can compare it to this reference image: A non-immersive picture of the build can be seen on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking
  3. Hi everyone, I have build several vignettes with the minifigs from polybags (giveaways). I have done something similar with Star Wars minifigures. The first one is Hank Pym, who has turned into a giant. The second one is the Winter Soldier inside a Hydra facility. The third vignette is with Rocket Raccoon with Groot, The fourth vignette is with Rhodey as Iron Patriot. The Hulk is on a rampage and is still angry. Tony Stark in his Silver Centurion suit. The last vignette is with Electro inside a power plant. For more pictures, visit my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are welcome. Sander

    MOC: Wonder Woman

Hi everyone, I participated on a contest of LowLUG. The contest was to build something what has something to do with: in fire and flame. Maximum 16 x 16 studs and 20 bricks high. This is the second build for the contest and it is based on the Wonder Woman movie. I wanted to create the fighting scene with Ares on the airport which was on fire. But with a max of 16 x 16 studs, I abandoned the idea had focused on another scene from the movie. Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman have liberated the town called Veld from the Germans. After dancing, drinking and singing, Steve and Diana staying at the hotel and kiss each other for the first time. For more pictures visit my Flickr album Wonder Woman Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander

    MOC: Ghost Rider

Hi everyone, I participated on a contest of LowLUG. The contest was to build something what has something to do with: in fire and flame. Maximum 16 x 16 studs and 20 bricks high. The first build was Ghost Rider. I created the motorcycle, which is a bit too big. The street and house was realized quick. Unfortunately I did not have the parts to create a better lamppost. For more pictures visit my Flickr album Ghost Rider. Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander

MOC: The Doctor vs. The Daleks

Hi all, I wanted to create a scene with Doctor Who and I wanted to experiment with floor techniques. The Doctor found out that the Daleks have created a portal to travel through time. The Daleks want to go back to the Time War to save their race from extinction. The Doctor have three Daleks in his vision, but he is not aware there is a fourth Dalek. Clara keep a low profile and stays with the TARDIS. No one have noticed that Weeping Angels are present and absorbing energy from the portal. For more pictures you can go to my Flickr album. Doctor Who Comments and questions are welcome. Sander
  7. I thought I'd build up a few models in the series before sharing it on here, but with four instalments so far, I felt it was time. This is my Star Wars Ring-Worlds project, each instalment depicts/will depict a different location in the star wars galaxy with each one confined to the same circular base. And that's about it really, as the title suggests this won't be a series I'll update regularly, rather an ongoing project where I'll build the nest location as and when I fell like it. I've got a few ideas about which planets (or moons ) to do next but if anyone has any suggestions or ideas I'm all ears. But for now at least, I'll end this first post with the first four instalments in the series, Yavin 4, Lah'mu, Naboo and Lothal. Enjoy! 8. Hello everyone. This is my last diorama and the bigger one I've ever made, work started last summer. I've spent about 5 months to build it (included all veichles, buildings etc.), in free time. there are about 25.000 pieces, I don't know exact number and I don't care. Diorama are based on 12 bases 48x48, 5 bases 32x32 and 1 base 16x32, approx 210x120 cm. I hope you enjoy it, please leave a comment and follow me on flickr, there are more pictures. Thank you very much to all and sorry for my bad english. Andrea, Kriminal, Italy.

    Dwarven Trade in Dale

My fourth entry into the 14th Colossal Castle Contest, for the Traveling Salesman Category. I was inspired by the architecture of Dale from The Hobbit, and also Legopard and The Brick Vader’s rendition of Venice. Every building has a full interior. The dwarves of Erebor sell many of their fine wares in Dale before continuing on their sales circuit to Mirkwood. Their skill in smithing and quarrying fine gems is well known. See all the pictures here. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

  12. Hi guys, I have just finished another Star Wars MOC. This time I wanted to mess around with the idea of forced perspective and decided to recreate one of my favourite shots from Return of the Jedi. As with all my micro mocs I wanted to stick to the 16x16 base, which in this instance was quite a challenge but eventually I managed to find a way to fit everything I wanted into the scene. The colour palette choice for Jabba's Palace was partly based on the official lego sets of "Jabba's Palace' and 'Rancor Pit' especially the dark grey base for the Palace to sit atop but I decided to go with darker colours for the Palace itself similar to the actual scene from the film. Finally I have recently got hold of the Boushh mini fig (one of my favourites) and so wanted to incorporate her somehow. I then had the idea that Chewie and Liea would have walked the same route to get to Jabba's Palace and so changed the sky to a sunset scene to reflect the time of day they arrived at the Palace. Which do you prefer? C3P0 and R2 or Boushh and Chewie? Also I am thinking of doing some more scenes similar to this, incorporating micro builds and mini figs but wondered if people liked this style? Should I stick to the micro landscapes I have been building or do more scenes in this style?

    Summer Joust [MOC]

Typo in the title, should be Summer, if a mod wants to fix it This was made to serve as the announcement poster for the Summer Joust contest. I took a lot of inspiration from Mark and Steven‘s Grand Joust of Giscellicburg. I tried to achieve a festive atmosphere with lots of bright colors, and large crowds of spectators which was quite a lot of fun. More pictures can be found on brickbuilt. C&C welcome
  14. A brick-built scene of one of the most dramatic episodes of the 'Psycho Dad' series on YouTube, hosted by Jesse Ridgeway (aka McJuggerNuggets). Here's the real video:
  15. ...with only a gun & a small saber, unable to escape. And eventually, he starved & dehydrated to death! A very simple vignette using the 'island' baseplate!
  16. Hi. I'm new to this forum section, I usually read the Train Tech section. But this time I want present my small projects based on Disney Classics. I've added them on LEGO Ideas, but if they will reach 10000 supporters, the credit will be all to my children. They are dedicated to Pinocchio, The Sword In The Stone and Bambi. I hope You like and Support them on LEGO Ideas. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/132929 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/133142 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/132855 LEGO Disney Pinocchio Ideas project by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr LEGO Disney Sword in the Stone Ideas project by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr LEGO Disney Bambi Ideas project by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr
  17. My entry to Round 4 of The Tourney. The category assigned to me, was, Nightmare: Portray a dark representation of a character's worst nightmares. This nightmare must not be merely reliant on a story to describe it (although you may include one if you wish); the MOC should be easily recognizable as a nightmarish scene. I decided on doing an all LEGO scene, and tried to capture a dark and scary atmosphere with the color choices, landscape, night background and monstrous creatures. The backdrop was inspired by LL, whose builds you should definitely check out: Link More pictures here: Link C&C welcome
  18. Just joined the forum today.I am a 21 year old college senior (Computer Science) and I just got back into Lego. I have been loving the new Nexo Knight theme, gives me a real He-man/Warhammer vibe, which I can dig. I thought I'd share my current setup, what do you guys think? I would love some feedback and suggestions. http://imgur.com/a/CD3iU Just spent a good hour trying to embed the images with Flickr (site has changed since tutorial was posted:/ ) and Brickshelf never sent me an activation email, so apologies for that.
  19. Pretty sure this forum is the best fit. I was looking for a fall/Halloween moc idea and decided to use this picture as an inspiration: Here is the moc so far: I don't have a red wheel barrow yet so I need to get that. The gray part will be filled with trans blue studs for water. I may builda rusty tractor or something to sit in there.
  20. "Quabana City, one of the largest and most important cities on Nal Hutta, is a true paradise for bounty hunters, smugglers and scum of that ilk. It is ruled with an iron and undoubtedly heavy fist by Taboona the Hutt. His palace towers above all else in Quabana City, and can be seen from afar, leaving a Hutt-sized impression on those who manage to catch a glimpse of it..." On Flickr (Click link to enlarge) __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is the first Star Wars MOC I've built in a long time, made for my first actual Star Wars scene (which it also really is), featuring a part of Quabana City, a city I've created, and which will be featured in my upcoming (planned) story, set during the time of the Old Republic. It is also one of many more Star Wars scenes to come. All comments are welcome and appreciated, as always.

    [MOC] Hazardous experiments

Hi there, here is my last moc, it's the first time i make a scene at this scale. It represents a scientific laboratory where scientists do some strange experiments. It was essentially inspired by the set 70163 - Ultra agents Toxikita. The scene is composed of four rooms. The first one is the principal experiment room, where mutants are studied. Then there is a security vestibule to put on Hazmat suits and avoid contamination, driving to a higly secured laboratory where genetic manipulations are tested. The last room is isolated and into it experiments are made on hazardous materials with a laser. This last experiment is led from the principal room. [M - C04] Assault on Aeristus.

Activity - Exploration. Location- Aeristus - C04. After an uneventful time on Myderis, Mark of Orion and his prototype vehicle were tasked with surveying the currently contested planet of Aeristus, just one sector from Torresta, the home planet of the MANTIS™ corp. After a few hours of testing ground speed on the open grasslands, Mark's radio emitted a distress call! Arriving at the scene, Mark discovered that his former crewmates were attacking a loathsome Kawashita stronghold and were in dire need of assistance! Mark fired up the Awesomnium-powered boosters and revved up the particle-disruptor rays on his Strider. "THIS ENDS NOW!" (Begin Commentary) Not happy with this build at all, I was extremely rushed for time - which also explains the very short story! But I wanted to get something in for MANTIS, so Enjoy!

  24. Activity- Exploration. Location- Mynderis - A04. Previously, Mark of Orion saved Captan Brutus from the Malicious Munchmoid on Jurin II. In reward for his brave service and quick thinking, Mark was promoted from the exploration dropship team to a new solo mission. Mark was sad to leave his comrades but the new pay grade was definitely a must. Not eating at the maggot-infested cafeteria was pricey at best! Mark's next mission, to try out a new MANTIS™ prototype vehicle. Arachtis Strider M2 The Arachtis Strider M2© has just come out of the diabolical labs of MANTIS™ HQ. Unlike most conventional vehicles, the Strider has six independently-powered limbs that propel the saucer--style body. Made from a mix of Durithium composites, the strong but flexible exoskeleton provides a durable frame for the softer bioengineered core. The "feet" are based on the same cell structure of the tentacles of the Garctaloid of Yallorn II, which can send sensory information to the control panels while providing excellent support and superior grip. But this unique transportation mode is not just for show. The Arachtis Strider can traverse even rough terrain at 85 MPH. And the 9 Awesomnium-powered thrusters means that this craft is capable of effectively flying in upper level atmospheres and beyond. The designers believed interplanetary travel in the current Strider model is possible, though dangerous due to the vehicle's small size and weak debris shields. Understandably, Mark was very excited to man the first expedition in the Arachtis Strider M2©! His first mission was on the currently uncontested planet of Mynderis A04. neither Octan nor Kawashita were believed to have any operatives on the surface. As Mark touched down on the crusty plain, he felt for the first time what is must be like to be a 20-foot tall alien bug! "Ohohoho! This thing is FUN!" The location Mark had been posted was on the northern tip of the volcanic planet, here the temperature was well below freezing and the lava flows and eruptions were less frequent. The advanced computers immediately began to direct Mark to curious object on a rocky slope. On closer inspection, the purple edifice gave off large amounts of energy and radiation. Probably Awesomnium! "Time to try out the feet." Arachtis Strider M2 on Mynderis A04 Mark directed one of the limbs to rest on the larger crystal in the center of the mound. The computer immediately read out, "Content: Crystallized Awesomnium 98%, Basalt ash 2%" Mark smiled. This tech was useful. "Nice! I wonder how deep this crystal thing goes..." "Approximately 1300 feet." "Haha! This is awesome!" "Incorrect: The content is 98% Awesomnium." "Yes, yes! I know! Hmm... Where are those humor settings..." To Be Continued! (Begin commentary) Well, I didn't have much time this week, but I did have a friend over on friday and while we were building and tinkering with the LEGO I managed to come up with this bug saucer thingy! Reminds me of War of the Worlds, even though I've never seen the movie or read the books! Hopefully next week I'll be able to DESTROY reply to all the MANTIS™ Haters!

[M - E02] The Jarring Jungles of Jurin II

Activity - Exploration. Location - Jurin II - E02 Previously, Mark of Orion had survived a deadly ambush on Guinevere. Now, he and his team were on the other side of the galaxy, exploring the heavily vegetatious planet of Jurin II. "Look at all the flora and fauna! Too bad Malcolm couldn't see all this!" Bert strolled around, happily gazing at all the new species before his eyes. "Malcolm didn't seem to be the type who was interested in plants - he was easily bored with his surroundings, if I recall." Mark scoffed and pushed a branch out of his face. Bert tromped through some thick ground cover. "Yeah, whatever happened to him, anyway? He sure was a jerk." "He got vaporized by a nano-beam of a Kawashita special forces agent." "Oh, that's... too bad. I assume you just ran for it?" "No, I turned to fight all three of 'em." "WOW, what happened?!" "It was all a bit of a blur. I don't remember." Mark said coldly, turning away. Bert decided he'd better stop asking questions, and looked back at his scanner. "Captain Brutus, I'm getting some strange readings - some kind of insectoid life form in this tree!" "There's lots of beetles and bugs around here. Nothing to worry about." The captain gruffly growled. Just then, a Massive Malicious Munchmoid leaped on the terrified captain, disproving his statement. THIS bug was something to worry about! The entire crew immediately panicked at the sight of the grotesque creature dropping from the trees. The Munchmoid landed squarely on the captain, who screamed loudly, muffled underneath the bug's weight. Lew, who was standing next to Mark of Orion, attempted to disarm the bug with his phaser, but was too frightened to aim properly and the shot went wide. Mark of Orion, however, knew he must act quickly, and in one step, set his MANTIS™ death ray blaster© against the creature's forehead. Mark's death ray blaster sang its song, and the Munchmoid went flying backwards from the sheer force of the glowing blast. Captain Brutus leapt back from the scene of his near demise. "GAAAHH! It almost got me! I can't feel my arm!" "That would be my blaster, sir. The ray must have clipped your arm." Mark jumped in between him and the still form of the Munchmoid. "Then why isn't it GONE?! And the beastly bug too?!" "I took the liberty of adding a stun setting to my MANTIS™ death ray blaster©. I assume you will approve, considering you still have your arm?" "Ah, yes, yes, that's fine, Orion, thank you." The captain pointed at the Munchmoid. "Now VAPORIZE this thing!" "Wait, sir. It's completely stunned and won't move for days. Why don't we drag it back to the dropship and use it for research?" Mark suggested with a grin. "Are you KIDDING me?!" Mark's grin continued. Apparently, he wasn't. "Ugh. All right. YOU get to drag it back, then." The captain rolled his one eye. And with that, the slightly shaken and jittery crew headed back to their ship. ...To Be Continued! (Begin Commentary) Well, I was completely swamped with school this weekend, but I still wanted to get a little build in for AG. Hopefully I'll have more time in the next few weeks to do something even bigger and better. Here's a final overview shot:
