    [MOC] Irish pub

Hello there, the city is growing and we need more buidlings. Because of this face, I created a new MOC, that will find it´s way straight up to the city. The house contains a pub in the first floor of the building. Above in the 2nd and 3rd floor, two similiar shapes of apartments are located. I will explain the details in the pictures below. If you wanna watch the speedbuild video from this MOC, youre free to click the following link: https://youtu.be/SyxF4JPqiog https://flic.kr/p/2m595Th The pub in the first floor, with a big bar, a lot of pictures on the walls and a small room for storing beer and stuff. https://flic.kr/p/2m51vsb The apartment in the second floor. With TV, sleeping room and a bathtube. https://flic.kr/p/2m559tJ The apartment in the third floor. Similar in shape with the other one but with different furniture and a shower instead of the bathtube. https://flic.kr/p/2m51vrK The whole building in overview. On the roof i planted an air condition. I raised up the entire building by one brick, so add the connectors for our city connecting system. I hope you like my creation. Let me know. Let me also know if there are points of improvement

    Medieval Inn

Hello everybody, it’s five years since my last presented MOC, so it‘s time to share the latest building for my medieval town. The layout: The village itself consists of 32x32 modules of scenes that are to be expected in such an environment, so you can find the city walls or residential buildings. The module shown here will be the inn on the market square, more or less the best house on the square. The technical details: The visible, not very nice to look at, substructure disappears when the future modules are next to each other. I didn't want to retouch this because it belongs to the building and without it cellars or shifts in height would not be possible. Both baseplates can be separated from each other by removing the middle section at the first floor. Every section is modular, but without interior. Many construction techniques are not my own, especially the small door frames or the window constructions of the ground floor level are copied. Unfortunately I don't know from whom, as it's been a long time since I built these. Minifigs: 10 Parts: about 11.500 The environment: The two connected parts of the building stand above the old Roman road, which frays into the market square. At the rear there will be a small square with the stables and a well, the front part is on the market square. The layout is medieval with fantasy elements, so that the group of minifigures in the foreground can consist of a knight, a magician, an elf and a dwarf. Have fun watching, more pictures of this MOC and other modules can be found on Flickr. Front_Cover by Tabaya, auf Flickr Corner_backside_1 by Tabaya, auf Flickr

    [MOC] Lion Pub

Hi everyone I'm new here in the forum and like to share my first MOC which I have been working on over the last 3 months. I build the MOC with BrickLink Studio 2.0 and used the new Eyesight Render for my images. I love the modular building sets from Lego but I missed the detail level on the upper floors. According to this I decide to design and build a more detailed modular building with more minifigures than the regular ones from lego. This building represents a classic British pub with a lot of typical details like a British cab, a London phone box, a classical English pub facade with a lot of flowers and much more. The modular style building with 3 floors and an accessible roof is built on a 32x32 base plate and contains 32 minifigures and approximately 6000 parts. Level 1 - Bar The first floor contains the main bar area of the pub and small full-featured restroom with toilet, urinal and lavatory. Outside there are bar tables and a red phone box. Minifigures Craftsman enjoying his after-work beer Bobby (Police Officer) on patrol Barkeeper and owner of the Lion Pub Regular guest who enjoys his retirement Best friends enjoy their free evening Level 2 – Gambling room The second floor features a gambling room complete with a pool table, poker corner and dart board. There is also a balcony on the back side to the backyard. Minifigures Young couple play a game of pool Office worker playing a game of darts Student can't keep his hands off gambling Housewife practices her passion at the poker table Professional poker player Level 3 – Live Music The third floor features a stage for live music, a small bar and a second full-featured restroom. Minifigures Punk who also loves Rock'n'Roll Aging hippie Piano player Elvis imitator and musician Groupie Barmaid Businessman enjoys a cool pint Champagne connoisseur and music lover Level 4 – Rooftop Party The last level offers space for a roof top party with a sitting corner under the overgrown pergola, bar tables, barbecue and DJ. Minifigures Man enjoying the delicious Hotdogs Barbecue chef Security DJane Female dancer Boyfriend of the female dancer Bestfriends start the evening with prosecco Celebrity couple Cab / Taxi Last but not least, the MOC offers a Classic London Cab heavily influenced by the "TFL Classic London Cab Taxi" from bamsham363 Minifigures Businessman treats himself to a pint Taxi driver Thanks very much for reading and I hope you like my first MOC. There are more pictures on Bricksafe and feel free to support my MOC on Rebrickable and let me know what you think. At the moment I am building my MOC with real Lego bricks. As soon as possible I will post any photos of the real lego building.

    [MOC] THE QUEEN BRICKTORIA PUB

Hi everyone I'd like to share with you my second MOC which I have been working on over the past few weeks. For this project I decided to tackle a subject very close to my heart - the Great British Pub! So without further ado... Grab yourself a pint and join me for a guided tour of The Queen Bricktoria! As you can see this is a modular style corner building with 3 floors built on a 32x32 base plate. The design is intended to be reminiscent of British town centre pubs or more specifically the style of pubs we'd see in London. The Minifigures There are 7 minifigs with the model. The 3 characters below are the pub workers. From left to right we have the Owner/Landlord and his daughter the barmaid. The guy with the guitar is a local singer who has been booked to play a gig at the pub. The 4 figures below are the pub regulars. The guy with the beard is the typical sort of old gent we find in many pubs propping up the bar and boring everyone to death with their stories of the good old days. The guy in the green top and the girl are boyfriend and girlfriend. Level 1 - The Bar Outside the building we have a busy street corner. I've included an iconic British red phone box and an outside covered seating area. There is also a sign board advertising events etc at the pub. The main entrance leads us in to the bar/lounge area. Inside we have a well stocked bar and a cozy fireplace. There are also tables and bar stool for the minifigs to sit and enjoy their drinks. Brown carrots make pretty good beer pump handles. At the back of the bar is a staircase leading us up to level 2. Level 2 - Pool and Darts Room On the second level is a games room featuring a Pool table and Dart board. There is also a pool cue rack and a shelf with trophies won by the resident darts team. At the back of the room is another staircase that leads to level 3. Level 3 - Live Music Room Level 3 has a stage for Live Music gigs and Karaoke. On the stage we have a keyboard, guitar, amps and microphone. Also on this level is more seating for the minifigs and a door that leads to a small balcony seating area. Oh dear!!! The singer seems to be a bit of a hit with the ladies. The Finished Model Here is a picture of the Queen Bricktoria next to my first MOC design, The Convenience store, as you can see my new MOC is much much bigger. Another picture below shows the pub next to one of the official modulars, to help give a sense of the size of the model. Thanks very much for reading and I hope you like my newest MOC. There are more pictures of it on my Flickr page so feel free to check them out and let me know what you think.

MOC - Winter Pub & Cafè

Hello everyone, today I want to present my last building constructed: The Winter Pub & Cafe. It is a new building that will be part of my new diorama Winter Village 2015 that will be presented for the first time at the fair in Lecco 1 and 2 August. I wanted to put a lot of internal details even if the interior space was very small. The interior is very comfortable as it should be in a pub. There is the bar, the coffee maker, the tapster pumping beer directly from bins placed in the foreground. There are some strange customers sitting at the tables, bottles and glasses, paintings, lamps, the crackling, the clock, a carpet. A staircase leads upstairs where there is a small bedroom that serves the manager when he wants to relax after a hard day's work. The interior of the building are clearly visible, but to make them even more visible the entire roof is detachable dividing into three parts. The insignia front was made with photoshop, printed in color and then glued. I hope you like it! See you next time Sandro More images: The complete gallery on Flickr: https://www.flickr.c...157654202144468

    MOC: The lock and Quay

Hellow fellow EB members. I've finally finished a MOC which has graced my desk for far too long now. The Lock and Quay - a pub and also a fishmongers both set upon a quay. Theres not much interior detail as its quite a shallow build and its more of a token gesture to be able to see something through the windows from the exterior. Anyway on with the pics, only 4 this time; Any comments/questions etc, always welcome! Cheers!
  7. Previously: Chapter 1 Dramatis Personae: It was not a normal day in the Blue Lantern pub. With the absence of Captains Li and Cho Fang as well as Captain Fheng there was a power void among the pirates that frequented Rassilon. Captain Sulu, captain of the Golden Dragon was already famous for capturing many prizes. A number of the other captains were leaning towards making him their leader. Captain Sulu Captain Ching Shih had sailed for Li Fang for many months taking control of La Oleon when she was first captured and then The Viper after Li Fang died. Quite a few captains favored Shih. Captain Shih The pub had not been closed to local traffic, but most citizens knew better than to try to enter while the captains were vying for power. So when Sinbad strolled in it was met with some surprise. Everyone turned to watch him as he bought a drink and then raised it for a toast. "To the pirate captains!" he shouted. No one raised their glass. Sinbad just cocked an eyebrow and took a swig. "You may be wondering why I'm here," Sinbad asked. "Well, it's to make a business proposition." Just then another man walked into the pub. There was a gasp heard throughout the room. At first glance it had seemed that Captain Fheng was back from the dead. The man held an uncanny resemblance to the former captain. He said, "Whatever this scum has to offer you can wait. I am Captain Fheng's son, Francis Fheng and I have come to claim the right of Pirate Lord among you. Many of you sailed under my father's colors, now I've come to ask you to sail under mine. My father wanted to show the 'civilized' world how wrong they are for trying to tax and enslave us. We were meant to live as free men and I intend to sail against anyone who says otherwise. Who's with me!?!" As Francis was finishing his rousing speech Sinbad walked up to him and said: "Excuse me, I don't like being called scum." "You, you sailed with my father. Yet you weren't there when he died. That makes you scum and not worth my time." "Well you better make time. You see, it doesn't benefit me if everyone here sails under your colors. So I'm going to give you a choice." Sinbad pulled out a coin. "What are you getting on about?" "It's simple. We are all here by our own choice. I'm not making you stay or go. That's your choice. But I'm telling you that you better choose to leave." "Son, you're crazy! Get out of my way." Sinbad pulled out a pistol and everyone gasped. "Alright, if you won't make the choice. I'll make it for you. I'm going to flip this coin. If it lands as heads, I'll let you leave alive. If it lands tails you'll be leaving to go meet Davy Jones." Before anyone could react Sinbad had thrown the coin in the air. He caught it and looked at it. "Heads. You're lucky day." Francis Fheng turned and fled the pub. Sinbad turned to address the captains. "As I was saying before. I have a business proposition for you all." He walked back to the bag he had left and the counter and took it to one of the tables. All the pirates gathered around him, their former vying for power forgotten. "All of you sailed under Captain Fheng before his untimely death. As you know, he died fighting for what he believed in. That was his choice. I'm asking you to elect me as your Pirate Lord and to sail for something even better than beliefs." "And what's that?" shouted one of the captains. "Gold. There's lot more where this came from. I have it stored in safe location for now, but Freddy can validate my wealthy. He helped me bring it back for the forsaken island we found it on. Make me captain of the Priest's Bounty and elect me as your leader and I promise to make you all rich beyond your wildest dreams!" It was a unanimousmus vote. Sinbad was now Pirate Lord of all pirate captains in Rassilon.

    Winter Village: Brewery

My entry for the contest: Winter Village Brewery with a pub. Also includes a lorry (for transporting frest bevarages), clocktower/silo for malt, publican's cozy (yet messy) apartment and three old geezers found outside country pubs all over the universe. The back is open like in offical winter village sets, so the interior is playable. I took part on this contest previously in 2010... I hope my building skills have developed since then! More pictures on my blog Cyclopic Bricks. Merry Chrismas to everyone and have fun building your entries! And, naturally, feedback is always appreciated!

MOC: The Brick and Stud Tavern

Hi everyone, here is my latest MOC The Brick and Stud Tavern which I've been working on for the last couple of months, a couple of bricklink orders slowed things down a little. I've wanted to do a pub for a while now and wanted to include more scene's with water so it seemed a good idea to combine the two. I had to scale it down from the quayside/fishing port I had in mind originally (Perhaps that will wait for another day), so a small river or canal seemed the obvious choice. This is inspired by canals seen in the UK, maybe I'll do a dutch canal someday I took ideas from - The Riverbank cottage - a previous MOC of mine which I made last year. I spent quite a bit of time perfecting the windows trying to get the right proportions on the lintels and framing without leaving unsightly gaps. The canal boat/narrowboat was something I had in mind to make the water look a little more interesting and went through several revisions before settling with this one. I found it difficult to get a sharp point on the front of the boat and eventually settled for a simpler rounded shape, perhaps not as realistic but nevermind! Sadly no interior this time round as I was mainly focused on landscaping. Anyway on with the pics, there are only 4 on this occasion; If you'd rather view them on flickr the link is here https://www.flickr.c...s/52656812@N04/ Here's hoping for a new camera for my birthday this year! Any thoughts or comments welcomed! Cheers

    [MOC] Green Dragon Pub

Since I finally got around to finishing this I thought I would share. The build was actually done two years ago but I never got around to doing the custom pub sign. I finally used my water-slide decal kit in my printer and I think it turned out great. (same excuse for my Beachburger restaurant).

    MOC - The Blue Chain

I take a break from medieval building and I builded this: The Blue Chain, a pub where you can listen to live music. I was inspired by a book of a italian musician who started his career in the 60's and 70's and I was attracted in particularly by all the pubs which openend their doors in those days, with some very, very famous like the Piper in Rome. So, I thought to build one myself; I think it came out quite qwell and it's even modular. Enjoy!

MOC: The three lions pub (Modular)

For the LowLUG Modular MOC Madness competition (Dutch forum, entries start at page 2) I created the following entry. The three lions The pub, called the three lions, can be found in the center of Modular City. The upper part of the three lions is a student flat which is accessible through its own entrance. The building has a clock gable en is built early 18th century. It has authentic details like stained glass on the ground floor, a family crest and lion heads. Nothing much to see on the back other than the trash and recycled glass cans, some weed and the back terrace on the top floor. The pub guests can hang their coat on the pegs under which a radiator is placed. At the bar one can order a drink or rent some darts. The dartboard hangs on the wall opposite of the toilet. Below the stairs to the student flat is the stock storage, cash register and tip jar. The inside of the student flat shows furniture mostly found at that well known Swedish furniture giant. It is small but provides most modern comforts. The bath room is also on this floor, it has a spacious shower that is separated from the toilet and washing area by a glass door. There is also room for a washing machine. The attic houses the bedroom, central heater and terrace. Recently the student living in the student flat graduated. She is celebrating this with family and friends at the pub. The three lions pub side by side with the 10128 Pet shop. C&C appreciated, thanks for watching.
