LEGO Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 SLT With Nooteboom MCO 121 by Jaap Kroon, on Flickr LEGO Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 SLT With Nooteboom MCO 121 by Jaap Kroon, on Flickr After years making prototypes of steered trailers, we, JaapTechnic and LiftingBricks, finally made it to create a system to make a semi trailer with automated steering axles. This system uses the angular displacement of the fifth wheel to steer the axles. This all happens with pure LEGO powerfunctions. In the following video you can watch this system in action. In the video are the following models presented: Nooteboom MCO 121 semi trailer Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 SLT Volkswagen Transporter T5 escort van Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 build by LiftingBricks For the Nooteboom and Mercedes are building instructions available. 2. Hi All, I managed to get a used 7898 set, working just fine, but the power button on the engine does not seem to work, so I have to take out the batteries in order to power down the train, or the batteries drain over a day or so. Any recommendation or pointers if it's possible to repair it? I assume that it's supposed to turn off the power when pressed? Thanks..
  3. Hi I have an EV3 and I was wondering how people control power functions motors and lights from the EV3. I have done some searching and found the following solutions , I was hoping some one might have tried these products and could give me some feed back . If you have any other method of doing this let me know. mindsensors PF Motor controller for NXT or EV3 (PFMate) GlideWheel PF and RCX Motor controller for NXT or EV3 hitechnic NXT IRLink Sensor
  4. Hello everyone! yeah i know, i have to finish the stratos first ....the thing is that on 15th of august, all the italians go to have a picnic in the wild, so as i'm going to the mountain i NEED to have a 4x4 to bring with me :D So after Vitara it's time for Samurai, and this time it's gonna be huge and possibly dark blue! My goal is to have these features: 4x4 lockable center and rear differentials high-low ratio gearbox winch dark blue color fabric white soft top lights if i can, i'd like to make a mechanism to operate the following sequence high ratio -> low ratio -> diff lock -> winch so the car could handle every situation (hope you got what i mean XD) for now i only built the front axle :) i hope you'll like this project!
  5. Here's my latest attempt at a race car: Bugatti Type 35. I built the body in more of a minimalistic design to reduce weight, and increase speed. The power is provided by two L motors, and the steering is controlled by a servo. https://lh6.googleus...E=w1233-h925-no The steering system is something I came up with. I don't think I've ever really seen this used before(please tell me if you've seen this anywhere else before),and it seems to work really well. In the video above you can see the steering in action. I'll post a video of it driving as soon as I can.
  6. Hi I am new here, this is my first post this is my latest supercar, Lamborghini SV powerfunctions + technic + + mindstorm pneomatic 50 % Software 50 % Hardware complete gallery http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=534033 or Lego Technic Site http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/technic/gallery/3029be09-c662-4ee2-9d8d-f41cd4f84a93?index=1
  7. Good day, I'm new here at Eurobricks, but I've been building with technic for a couple of years now. Here is a preview of my latest moc that I've been working on. Once I complete it I will post a video and more pictures. If you want to see other mocs I've built in the past they are mostly here. http://www.youtube.com/user/landonsnxtnstuff Oh yeah... I'm not really a huge fan of ford, but nobody else has really built this truck so I thought I would give it a shot. Four Speed Gearbox! (controlled by 2 pf large motors, and driven by 2 NXT motors) Realistic Pneumatic power steering. And last of all a cool little ford emblem I came up with.
  8. Hi all, being a car builder mainly I am working on some background for the cars, and when I was offered a monorail I thought this might fit with what I am actually planning. In my view the monorail can be integrated very well in smaller city layouts, but I wanted to have something that moves more realistically than the usual monorail trains with their high speed and abrupt stops. So I opted for a MR with PowerFunctions that can move very slowly. And since most of the cars are 7 studs wide to be able to fit the figs side by side, the train has the same width. Functions: - working headlights and backlights (PF) - interior lighting (9V) - openable front door (manually) - detachable roofs The train is quite heavy (around 0,6 kilogrammes) but that doesn't seem to be a problem, neither for the engine nor the tracks - until now, that is. I am watching these aspects thoroughly. The train is controlled by an 8879 Speed Remote Control. Capacity: 10 minifigures. My main inspiration was the amazing 6w Monorail Berlin Subway Train by Brucewaynelego-Toyshansolo, see http://www.flickr.co...ego/5110796438/ There are some similarities between my train and the Berlin Subway Trains of the Twenties. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome as usual. More pics: Interior: Street Scene with Monorail:

    [MOC] Stage

Last year I took a Spanish class and we had to do a fashion show. I wasn't going to be in one, so I built this stage. (The teacher was actually very impressed.) But for fun, I added some PF lights, and ran some headphones through the base so it could "play" music. Watch a video of the working bits here. March 2012 Flickr Set Facebook
