  1. Hi guys, I have designed my second alternate build for the island part of Lego 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX0EUo0vGM0 When building this set, you will discover a mini pirate world on an island. On shore, you will find a multilevel harbor cottage, including a stockroom, a gundeck, a living cabin and an outlook platform. When walking over the hanging bridge, you enter an ancient fortress, in which secrets may be found.. Check out the YouTube video and images, and I would really appreciate your comments/feedback! The INTRUCTIONS will be available on Rebrickable.com soon!

[MOC] Dying Gull from POTC V

Hello there, finally I got some time and (a bit to much) sunlight to get some fotos of one of my finished projects: The Dying Gull, commanded by the famous Captain Jack Sparrow on the search of Poseido´s trident in POTC Part V: 20210516_160515024_iOS by Captain Störtebricker, auf Flickr Here you can compare it with the "orignal": I have to say that the idea to make my own MOC from this ship came by viewing a video from the very good MOCer MocYourBricks on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHGfHT9yK5g But I thought it could be improved by using the old mast parts, different hull line and for sure making some nice sails. I included a working anchor, steering-mechanism and detachable storage lid as well as a brick-build cannon. Here are some more pictures, take a look at the flickr album to see all of them (give me a hint which is the best and I will add it here, dont want to flood the topic :D): Hope you will enjoy it! Aye!
  3. Hello, On the Lego World Builder website (https://worldbuilder.tongal.com) people can design their own new Lego Theme. If the design gets plenty of votes and LEGO likes it, then the new Lego World may actually be taken into production. Being a fan of Lego Pirate themes I figured LEGO can always do with a new Pirate Theme, especially one with a clear story line. Therefore I came up with the idea of a story about a young Redbeard before he lost his limbs and one of his eyes. Roger Crow, later to be known as Captain Redbeard, washes up on an unknown island. He cannot believe he has survived. After the initial shock he needs to explore the island to look for food. Doing so he discovers the island is not deserted but there is indeed human, and not so human, life. There are several villages with islanders and pirates, a lagoon where sometimes mermaids can be spotted, quite a few skeletons lying about and the spirits of doomed soldiers near the ruins of an imperial fort. I invite you all to visit the website and check out my work. Of course I would really appreciate it if you would give "Distant Shores" your vote. https://worldbuilder.tongal.com/world/6850b491-4611-4306-b1e5-765fa6d12a I somehow managed to upload two pictures that I did not really want to add, but I cannot get rid of them. I have tried. If somebody knows how to delete uploaded pictures, please let me know. For now please disregard the following images:
  4. This MOC was inspired by @Mr. Townsend's Miss Elizabeth and @Bregir's use of 4185. Also of course the USS Hannah, on which the Miss Elizabeth is based. - Intro story will follow - A new ship was launched at the Farrensman shipyards. This time an order from the WTC. The Topsail Schooner Sjælland is a fast, light armed merchant vessel. Her rig doesn't require a big crew and her four carronades as well as her four swivel guns are enough to defend against little ambushes and make her one of the more independent merchant vessels. Nathaniel Stienhouwer's first signed position as a steersman. Her recommended stats: R M G C $ H4 6 1 2 4 1 78 of those little brown wheels are in this MOC. I'm happy with the result, only the sheets for the foresails bother me a bit. I might think of another solution but for now I want to give her some rest.
  5. This is my creation for Brickstory 2017 contest, for the "Age of Piracy" category. This is my biggest creation so far.. and it came with a theme that I love.. Pirates!! This inspiration came from one of my favorites series.. Black sails!!! :D And because i didn't like the end of Vane.. I decide to change it a little bit!! And the story starts..: Year: 1715 Place: Nassau Mission: Free Vane and burn Nassau to the ground! Vane is shuttled to the town square of Nassau where he will be executed. Bones and those loyal to him join the crowd, intent on a desperate rescue attempt. However, Vane makes eye contact with Billy and gives him a silent order to stand down.. But Captain Flint has a different opinion than the movie series.. Free Vane and kill them all!!! Nassau it's ours again!!! I hoped you like my creation! C&C are welcome!! :D
  6. Sorry for the clickbait title Not a LEGO MOC in the normal sense, but a MOC nonetheless Made from extras I had lying around in baggies
  7. Hello, I have a lego pirates imperial soldier figure which I cannot find on bricklink, brickset or any price guide (and that includes the ones that include the rarest of figures, like 'figure with only 50 copies which was given away at a lego convention in Romania in 2006'), and I think it may be worth money. Will upload a picture once I find it but basically it's this figure: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=pi004b#T=S&O={"iconly":0} except with a tricorn and possibly slightly different head, and with the lego logo on his back. It seems to have been a keychain as it does not come apart. He used to have the bottom of a plastic key chain (like this: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?G=3977c&name=Legoland Ambassador Key Chain - plastic chain, with stripes on back&category=[Key Chain][Legoland Parks]#T=S&O={"iconly":0}) on his head but this broke off years ago, probably still in a box somewhere! I think I got the figure at a young age in a box of second-hand lego my mum got me from a co-worker (mostly 90s stuff). If anyone can give a link to a bricklink page or any sources about the figure, please let me know. Would love to know if it's valuable/how it was initially sold. If there's a different forum for which this may be more appropriate please let me know.
  8. Eddies and currents around Hellion's coast bring crabs to a small beach on the island. The locals have capitalized on this and they often use rowboats to force the crabs on shore and grab them with nets. A building has been built for the equipment and trades often occur near the premises. The boats force the crabs on shore.
  9. Hey everybody, DarthKy and I worked together to make this high end non-ship set concept for LEGO Ideas. (Please note this submission has expired) We also tried to re-imagine Redbeard, Anne, Rummy, and "Steve" from the classic LEGO Sets. We certainly hope you will check it out. Skull Cove: Redbeard’s Return. Captain Roger Redbeard once terrified the seas with his crew aboard the The Black Seas Barracuda but he has not been seen on the high seas for over a decade. Nobody knows exactly what happened to him, many assumed he finally met a bitter end, perhaps finally caught by the Imperials...some claim he retired and lives quietly on his untold riches. His closest friends and allies however know the truth. Redbeard, surrounded by his loyal crew, still rules the great pirate fleet, a shadow empire, from the security of his stronghold, Skull Cove. This set seeks to create a top of the line pirate stronghold operated by a cadre of pirates inspired by classic LEGO pirates. The re-imagined pirates includes the classic figures: Captain Roger Redbeard, Rummy, Anne, and “Steve.” The Crew Captain Rodger Redbeard. In the passing years the Captain's beard has grown and streaks of white have crept into it. He may not be as spry as he once was, but he is as cunning and quick witted as ever, coordinating strikes against the merchant lanes while continuing to foil the Imperials. First Mate Rummy. Rummy has long been Redbeard's right hand man. Now he operates the ingenious communication network that keeps Redbeard's pirate armada working in concert. Rummy is also a legendary spotter and look out. He can count the number of cannons on a ship before most of the crew can even see its sails. Anne. Anne has served as Redbeards Quartermaster, leading countless boarding actions upon ships beset by the Black Seas Barracuda. She is an expert marksman and sword fighter, equally at home on the deck or in the ropes. "Steve" Steve is a bit of a mysterious wild card, coming and going as he pleases. The crew is not even certain if "Steve" is his real name. His unequaled skill as an artillerist however has earned him a permanent opening as the master gunner in Redbeard's ranks. On many occasions the astounding accuracy of his cannons has spelled the difference between victory and defeat. Note: This project has expired so voting is no longer available.

    [OL-FB] HRS Helios

One of two ships originally designed to be an armed merchant men for the RNTC back when this limited skirmish on the island of Terraversa was well contained. The dramatic changes in the diplomatic mood of the Brick Seas caused the navy to step in and repurpose the ship mid-construction. The HRS Helios is now a full man-of-war. A total of 48 heavy guns, each broadside hold 24. Down below we can see two full decks of guns, followed by a third full deck for cargo, packed and ready. Her hull is large, long and wide, designed to hold both large cargos and while still maintaining a full gun deck to ward off Sea Rats. The ship remains equipped with cranes and extra cargo hatches for easy loading and unloading. Also, plenty of cloth to move the large ship. Though, had the word arrived at the Beauchamp Shipyard earlier, the Navy never would have paid for such a large and ornate stern section when they could have saved a penny and added a few more guns. Captain Gillette is an old pious disciplinarian. There is no cursing aboard his ship, he is never far from his family monk, who accompanies him into battle, and he begins each day with a prayer during the change in watch. He runs a tight ship, but the crew jokes that if any commander ever had the gods on his side, it is Captain Gillette. The thrifty Captain has more than a bit of embarrassment at the ornate design of his ship. Though at least the stern cannons add a practical element. And the pious Captain takes pride in daily recreating the God, Helios' journey across the Brick Seas and over the horizon. (Another shot, better for the bow piece but (like the rigging) the hoses didn't get rendered in this bottom on) Edit: coming soon hidden content to side by side the Helios and Phoebe (the sun and the moon) which are a pair of similar ships deliberately built to go together, but are not "sisterships."
  11. The light house of Skull Rock was once kept lit by a order of monks, who believed the nearby skull-shaped cliff face (carved by the former native islander inhabitants) was a sign from "The Man Upstairs" that is was an evil place. The monks were later killed off in 1708 by scurvy and other diseases, leaving only one alive who went insane from the ordeal, claiming he saw ghosts of several past wrecked ships' captains. In 1710, the pirate Captain Henry Smithfield of the infamous "Yago" found skull island and skillfully managed to sail through the island coral reefs unaided except by the light and a keen sailor's intuition. He was inspired to take over operation of the light, but eventually had to maroon the mad monk on a nearby deserted island as he was too crazy even for pirates! The light is still lit only occasionally, mostly when trying to wreck merchant and pirate hunter ships onto the reefs to be plundered thereon. This island is known to the area's native islanders as Hazar-dues, or to it's pirate inhabitants and imperial captives as Skull Rock. NOTE: The name of the island is said like the word, "Hazardous" (which is quite apt for it's windswept rocky surface!) I'm taking @Faladrin lead with his similar model and one-upping it to include the entire skull rock, and a dock for pirate ships of all types! NOTES: The set conversion is mostly (98%) finished as of 1/28/21. The as-yet unbuilt lighthouse portion is on order from Bricklink as of yesterday. This new piece will replace the crane section of the dock. I've also realized that all the set 71722's features are tied together by gearing / rods, such as: - The rotating scythes on the walkway to the officer's quarters behind the eyes. - the moving "wave" walkway to the base of the waterfall. (which opens up!) - the lowering / raising of the wooden cage holding the (deceased) bluecoat Admiral. ..and all this is activated by cranking the large U-shaped handle on the left! The front clips of sets 71722 (Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons) connect to a wooden dock model (seen below). The two Ninjago set's (the other is 71717, Journey to the Skull Dungeons) will be modified to have blue parts instead of orange and trans-orange for the bases and "lava drip" parts. I plan on using these sets, plus this dock, in conjunction with my other pirate ships, seen below. Inside the lower portion of Skull rock is the pirates treasure room, with gold aplenty and a few jewels. The upper floor is for the Captain Smithfield when not at sea. Here is the lighthouse proper. The wooden crane is for offloading cargo / loot off the smaller boats after leaving the big pirate ship. The spinning lens idea is from 70431 (Lighthouse of Darkness) from the Hidden Side theme. The front clips of sets 71722 (Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons) connect to a wooden dock model. (seen farther down the page) The two Ninjago set's (the other is 71717, Journey to the Skull Dungeons) are currently being modified to have blue parts instead of orange and trans-orange for the bases and "lava drip" parts. I plan on using these sets, plus all the custom dock / lighthouse parts for my island. This building model comes apart into three modular sections: - lighthouse, lower level (this is sleeping / storage area for the crew when not at sea.) - light house, upper level (storage area for whale oil for keeping the light lit) - actual light - (rotates around, though it's usually lit for use in misguiding ships onto the nearby rocky coral reef surrounding Skull Island.) The docks model also comes apart into three modular sections: - The working wooden crane (left side, which will be implemented into the lighthouse) - The corner with cannon (behind the others) - The dock extension (right side) Here is that unlucky monk today, with his one-shot pistol on Twenty-paces Island. (I'm getting a palm tree for this island.... still have to order the parts!) The whole setup of Skull Rock so far. The Minecraft-based Seacow, as captained by Peg-Leg Stevie. Not sure what to call this type of ship, though it kinda reminds me of the Santa Maria from Columbus' first trip. The brig Yago, as seen here and captained by Henry Smithfield. The Golden Bounty pirate junk, as seen in this topic and led by Captain Soto. (picture of Joly Roger goes here) Captain Hook's Jolly Roger isn't done yet, so no picture or topic... waiting on a certain flying boy for that. The Silver Crab is not built yet, but is captained by Bob "The Sponge" Squarepants and can be found here. This is the Hell Bent, and is led by Captain Victor "Jawbone" Blucher. It can be found here.

[K18 - Hoth - TT] Pirate snowy base

  13. Hi everyone! At last I got my own 31109 which I started building the smalles build first, the 3rd model: Skull Island. I have seen several nice MOCs and MODs around this set so far so I wanted to add one myself. I saw all those left over pieces and so started to build a small pirate ship only by using the left-over pieces. Here is what I came up with: Hope you like it. If someone has a good idea for improvement, then you have to be fast or build your own addition to the island! I want to tear everything down soon to build the 2nd model and then the ship

    [MOC] Redcoats Outpost

It's been a long time since I built my last MOC. But I received my BSB some days ago ( new fan of Lego Pirates here!) and havent any soldiers. I bought 4 redcoats and while they arrived I did this outpost. Most of the boats approach from the east, so it has a loophole on that side. Access to the upper part is via a wooden staircase inside (there is a wooden hatch door). The lower part is also used as a prison, in case of capturing a pirate. I hope you like it ! Full gallery here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMPdG1H
  15. The Time Twister Twins have gathered all the greatest villains in Lego history such as Captain Redbeard, Baron Von Barron, Basil the Bat Lord, Ogel, and Lord Garmadon to destroy the heroes once and for all! From their evil fortress guarded by a skeleton army, they have created a giant time portal that is twisting up the Lego timeline! Minifigs from across time and space are pulled through the portal and structures from various eras are colliding. Imperial soldiers are fighting cowboys, pirates are fighting bandits, and samurai are fighting mummies! Can the Time Cruisers Tim and Dr. Cyber unite all the heroes against these villains and save the timeline? On the left you can see the Pirates and Western time zones. Fort Legoredo has fused with an imperial fort, much to the dismay of the Brits and Yanks who are fighting each other. Meanwhile, the Islanders and Native Americans, two factions that were being called "savages" by some of the other minifigs, are meeting by King Kahuka's throne for peaceful negotiations. Out on the water, you can see a small pirate ship engage in a shootout with the bandits of the Coyote Gang while some Aquanaut and Atlantis divers are fighting off skeletons. Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!! On the grounds surrounding the Time Twister fortress, minifigs from different eras are fighting the skeleton army while the Time Cruisers are flying in on their latest time machine, the Time-Rift Raft. It has a play feature that causes the propellers to spin when it is rolled across the ground. On the right of the battlefield, a Ninja temple had fused with an Ancient Egyptian tomb. Classic Kai, Pepper Roni, and Johnny Thunder and his friends are fighting skeletons while the Rock Raiders and Power Miners are fighting over a power crystal. Baron Von Barron swoops in from above the temples in his remastered Bi-Wing to attack his rival Johnny. Sorry for all the dust. This MOC was sitting around for a while before I got around to taking these pics and I didn't notice the dust until after the photo shoot. Up on top of Time Twister Tower, Ogel oversees the battle while the Time Twister Twin operate the time portal machine. The portal design is inspired by that of Piotr Machalski and Milan Sekiz. I included some interior in the buildings as you can see in this back view, although it's not much since I ran out of time (ironically). I hope you liked it. This was my entry for the Lego Legacy Battle contest on Lego Ideas from a few months ago. Unfortunately it didn't even make it into the voting phase, but honestly it's not my best work. I had to rush to get it built within a month to meet the submission deadline and it ended up being more quantity than quality. Still, I had fun building it as it is essentially a tribute to all the action themes that I loved growing up. What's your favorite Lego action theme? Let me know in the comments!

    [MOC] Polynesian Crab Claw Boat

The islanders of Polynesia often traveled on huge rafts called crab claws, named after the distinctive shape of the sail. There is evidence these could grow as big as a frigate, or even a ship of the line. Just a little build. I don't really like the sails, but I think I quite like it overall. C and C appreciated.
  17. Tortuga, Sea Turtle Island, 620 The wind was quiet and calm, the water lapping at the sides of the boat. Suddenly, a rush of water stirred on the port side of the vessel as the two strong fishermen heaved the net onto the boats small deck. The man towards the bow took out one fish and threw it back into the water. 'damn rules and regulations', he cursed, his wet face shining in the sunlight. Turning to the Fisher women in the boat, he said: 'd' you hear, Greybeard got a ship'. The women remained silent, biting her lip. The man carried on talking. 'she's a cutter by the name of the Sea Wench. Fifty feet from stem to stern. Me brother helped build her. At this the women replied: ' fat lot of good she'll do him. Ever since he lost his galleon, he seems to be a bit brooding. Like he's being manipulated by some sort of guilt or debt. The man turned to face the bright sun. ' guilt is a powerful thing' he said cryptically.

    [MOC] Big Small Imperial Bastion

Hi all Pirates and LEGO fans! I share with you my latest MOC called the Big Small Imperial Bastion. I just wanted to create a playable bastion to use with the very nice Pirates of Barracuda Bay set. Hope you'll like it. Any comments are welcome. View form behind. Mmh... It seems the monkey stole something from the Captain's office. Door is open on purpose for this picture. No pirate escaped from this small cell since its construction. Various treasures and Captain's teddy bear (shh!). Three cannons are always better than one. Captain and his favorite chair. Captain's office. Another view from Captain's office.
  19. With the free-for-all in the Eastern seas, Hernan Orellana outfitted an expedition to sail for the islands, to see if he might capitalize on the chaos gripping the region. The night before his departure from Weelond, Orellana went for a drink at one of the local watering holes. There he met a man who claimed to have escaped from Lotii captivity. The man told Orellana that upon his escape he had grabbed several Lottii artifacts including a map that, he claimed, led to an ancient civilization on the island of El Oleanda. Although feeling pretty doubtful about this stranger's story, Orellana purchased the map and departed for the island the very next day. Throughout the voyage Orellana studied every inch of his map, but it was only after the cook spilled a mug of lemon juice on it that it revealed its secret. Beneath the marked city on the map, the juice revealed what appeared to be a small oval with a maroon dot and the word Thabthim written inside of it. Several days later the expedition disembarked on the southern coast of the island of El Oleanda, purposefully avoiding all settlements as they didn’t want anyone seeing what they were up to. After a day's march through the thick jungles of El Oleanda, Orellana’s expedition arrived at the ruins of what his men had begun to call Thabthim. Hernan Orellana at the Ruins by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr After a day of searching the ruins, Orellana and his men could find nothing of value more than the structures themselves. But Orellana could just not get that strange gold and maroon oval out of his head. Just as the group began to leave the courtyard a loud rumble came from beneath Orellana’s feet and all of a sudden he was falling. Falling through by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr As Orellana came to his senses he realized he was in an underground cavern. Below the central ruins of El Oleanda was the Golden Altar of Thabthim, a shrine to a god of the ancient Oleandan civilization. The altar held a massive ruby surrounded by ornate gold pieces, untouched by looters, protected from the world for centuries. The Altar of Thabthim by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr Ruins of Thabthim by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr Conquistadors at the Ruins of Thabthim by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr Eslandola Flag by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr Teaser for BoBS MOC Contest by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr Orellana stood for an engraving and set out to explore the newly uncovered caverns. Unwilling to incur the wrath of the mighty and mysterious Thabthim, Orellana left the ruby in its altar. At least for now. Orellana on the Altar of Thabthim by Nicholas Goodman, on Flickr

    [MOC] USS Constitution

Hello all, I wanted to share my long time project, the USS Constitution. The Constitution has always been a favorite of mine, and I've seen other great Lego versions of this tall ship, but I wanted to make one that is true to minifig scale. At long last I'm (almost) complete and ready to share some pics. I hope to be adding more polished pictures soon, so check back for the latest. Would love to hear your comments, thanks!

    POTC HMS interceptor

Lego HMS Interceptor nearly finished. One of the most beautiful boats <I mean ships> as shown in the POTC franchise "Curse of the Black Pearl". A fast merchant brig, adapted by the british navy, to hunt down faster pirate vessels. As shown here in what i think nearly original Minifig scale
