two 1950s vintage police patrol cars - real world MOC (based on LEGO City Undercover model)

"This is the police! Come out with your hands up, we have you surrounded! Surrender now, or we are going to use force!" These two identical models were heavily inspired by a Checker Taxicab build I found on Rebrickable by user Labronco Brick Designs. (This builder had reverse engineered the taxi from the LEGO City Undercover video game) I changed the model around a lot to create a '50s police car. This car isn't based on anything too specific (but apparently there WERE Checker police cars in Springfield, Michigan at one time!), but it does get the general "look" of the stereotypical 1950s police car correct, from the single red 'gumball' light on top to the streamlined styling. You can see the original builder's model (alongside a whole bunch of other cool cars from the video game) and their accompanying free instructions here. The rear of the car with the stylized taillights and non-functional trunk latch. Each vehicle seats two: an officer upfront, and a suspect behind. That's all I have for these models, and thoughts / comments / questions / feedback in general would be appreciated! -
Quite old, but I never posted this MOC: I never really liked the LEGO set (75207), so I built my own version - which turned out to be more difficult than expected because there is so little space inside the model. Anyway, it was a lot of fun to work on such a small but still detailed model and I am very happy with the result!

Gothic police station with two vintage patrol cars - real world 10217 and 7682 inspired models

This gothic-style building is inspired by 2011 Harry Potter set 10217 - Diagon Alley, specifically the Borgin and Burkes shop. There are also two heavily modified versions of the gangster car from Shanghai Chase set 7682, now being used as identical police cars, while the 1930's officer torso's are from the recent modular police station. This building will serve as my town's 1930's-set police station. It was heavily expanded from it's original form to have a second story and back wall. It also has hinges (like in the old Medieval Market Village - set 10193) to allow for it to open up to 90 degrees to access the detailed inside. The building's design also features a tower, three fireplaces on one chimney flue, and staircase to the upper floor. (Sadly, the attic has no room for any staircase leading to it.) The front half of the building's exterior, with the imposing public entrance based of Borgin and Burkes from the 2011 Diagon Alley set. This model will serve as my police station on my town, and as such has a jail cell, "wanted" board, and two desks in the front half alone. The rear half of the building's exterior, with officer entryway and a roof-mounted bat signal. Why have that, when the model is not set in Gotham City? Because Batman! The back half has the other portion of the jail cell and a weapons storage area for officers Photography equipment is also located on this section for documenting suspects. There is also a breakaway exterior wall section to bust the bad guys out of the cell! "Calling all cars! Calling all cars! Silent alarm at the First National Bank of Legoland, suspected robbery in progress. Bat-signal has been activated. I repeat, Bat-signal has been activated, over!" ...What do you guys think? I was inspired by this Winter Village build over on the Town forum by user @Nieks from 2015 to build this mid-20th century (think like around the 1960's or 70's) inspired Gotham City police station. The station comes with a Bat-phone on the Commissioner's desk, and a Bat-signal on the roof. (though, it's lacking a single printed part on the signal plus the front door should have this printed piece above it) On the right side you have an drive-thru awning for patrol cars to drop off criminals for booking at the station. Inside the station on the upper floor, just above the holding cell is Commissioner Gordon's office with the Bat-phone. Dotted around the station we have five desks for the officers to do paper work at, and finally, a single holding cell for inmates before transfer to Arkham Asylum (for the super-powered inmates and / or the criminally insane, such as the Joker or Poison Ivy) or Blackgate Prison (the common riff-raff / lower rated powered criminals who are technology dependent go there, such as The Penguin or Kite Man.) NOTE: The grille pieces in front of the building are supposed to go on the desks as part of the typewriter assembly. (It doesn't fit in LDD, sadly.) As it's the late 1970's or early '80's here in my model's timeline, the desktop computer has yet to make it's mark on crime-fighting.... unless you're a billionaire / inventor named Bruce Wayne that is! Set 71016 (Kwik-E-Mart) has had the police car changed from black and white to blue and white. The car feature seating for three, with two officers in the front, and one criminal in the back behind the security fence. The trunk of the police car should have this part on it. The trunk opens up, and both side doors open as well. Most of the roof lifts away (not shown) for access to the inside. As for the Batman and his arch-nemesis, I've already got his ride and the Joker's covered by previously released Lego sets. I also plan on manning the Police station with Lego Batman movie figures, such as Commissioner Gordon, Chief O'Hara, and a few other surprises. We need dedicated Patrol walkers, and soon." -Commander Selm The second walker in the Variable Terrain family, the Variable Terrain Patrol Transport was the result of designers blending the plans for the Scout Transport and Recon Transport together into one composite idea. The various STs were implemented in a variety of roles that they were not necessarily suited for, leading to mission proficiency dropping. Although some tasks could be taken over by the complementary RTs, there still exists a gap between the two where a new walker would hep the mission profile. Thus the VT-PT was born. Designed to work well in both urban and open environments, it features increased armor and a more robust armament than its counterparts, in addition to a fairly quick speed thanks to its reinforced legs and servo-motors. The main armament is flexible Heavy Blaster Cannon with a wide arc of fire, with the secondary armament being the twin missile launchers on either side. In addition, the VT-PT also has an advanced forward sensor and a redundant communications array for keeping in touch with command and other patrolling forces. Hi guys! This is my minifig’s scaled ARATECH C-PH Patrol Speeder bike used by the Imperial Patrol troopers. Hello! This is my new LEGO police patrol car. This MOC is easy to build and I used only 58 bricks. I will put it to my custom LEGO police station. I like the result! It's small and cute. Also, I want to build a police helicopter and a truck. Do you like my new LEGO MOC?

Aside from patrolling the Tatooine dunes, Merc was assigned as local security for the Mos Eisley spaceport in search of a suspicious Rodian. Merc: Looks like we're here. Last part of our patrol route, Mos Eisley. Trooper: Worst part of Tatooine too. Merc: You heard stories about this place? Trooper: Plenty. Not too long ago there was something about two guys in a bar who picked a fight with some scrawny farm boy. You think they'd have no problem right? But then the kids old man showed up and chopped off one of the guys' arm. Merc: Heh, guess its true what they say. You won't find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than in Mos Eisley. Sergeant: Hey, you two! Quit standing around. Get back to searching for that Rodian. Trooper & Merc: Yes sir! Merc: Hey there's one over by that street vendor. Think it could be him? Trooper: Blasted, they all look the same to me. Merc: Come on, lets check it out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys, back with a small free-build. I initially had a larger set-up prepared but due to a lack of tan pieces I made it a vignette instead. Also the back beams are not my design. Please judge this build.

Hello everyone. I am rather new to Eurobricks, and I'm happy to be on this site now posting and commenting on lego creations, etc. Anyway, I've always liked Classic Space. I've been ordering a lot of space stuff from Ebay and Bricklink lately in hopes of assembling a moon base in the future. So while I'm waiting for those, with the space stuff, and the blue parts I currently have, I decided to make a variety of neo-classic space stuff for the moon base too. I may release a few more ships in the coming days, weeks, etc. Anyway, here it is. SpaceSpeeder1 by Jim Kirk, on Flickr So frontal view. The Classic Space minifigs patrol the planet surface.
