The scooter released in 2014 by LEGO (clearly a Vespa) is really cute and it deserved an appropriate repair workshop. Furthermore this year the legendary Vespa turns seventy and this is the right circumstance to pay tribute with a specialized garage. Here it is! The new workshop features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. There are also a mobile roller cabinet, the the oxy-acetylene welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two lifts to easily work on the Vespa. On the right a red tool cabinet includes many utensils. Two pendant neon lights are hanged on 2 dark bluish gray supports. There are also trophies and helmets all around. I really enjoyed building this Minifig scale workshop and I hope you guys also enjoy this my new brand LEGO diorama. The Scooter shop on flickr. Hello, today I show you my latest build, a middle class tank decked up in Futuron livery: the "White Tiger". This medium-class tank features 2 middle-range surface-to-air guns, a rotating turret and a crew of three (the commander, the driver and the gunner). The nick name is a tribute to the invincible german "White Tiger" from WWII. Below the "Tiger" at the maintenance bay where Classic Space men are fixing and refueling it before a mission. On the right close to the door the Futuron crew. Futuron* was a peaceful and friendly population. Their ground vehicles and spacecrafts were designed to explore new planets and new dimensions indeed. But something is changing: a black menace is coming from the deep space, its name is Blacktron. The black men want to attack the Futuron people probably to steal the sought after and valued Monorail. To prevent the Blacktron attack this new armored vehicle is ready to fire. Below in plain sight. Will the "Tiger" be able to destroy the black menace? I hope you ike it. Cheers! *Futuron was a subtheme of LEGO Space released between 1987 and 1990 to replace Classic Space series.

Hello, this Space Tank is a "small class" unit inspired by WWI English tank Mark I. Colors and style are clearly based on LEGO Classic Space series. Named "Blue Bull" due to the stocky shape, it's equipped with a huge long-range gun and with a little gun machine right below the rotating turret. I particularly like the loader's hatch and the details featured both on the turret and the side. The crew is composed by 3 crewmen: the commander, the driver and the gunner. Here the Tank is at the maintenance hangar where the staff is taking care of it after a moon mission. Below the Space Tank in plain sight Even if Classic Space is not my comfort zone of building, and some friends of mine were surprised seeing this new build, I like this theme since I was a little boy. Moreover having in stock a lot of CS pieces pushed me to build the tank and the space hangar. It has been really funny building this MOC and for sure won't be alone for a long time. [MOC] Volkswagen T1 Esso Service | “canvas” pick-up

Put a tiger in your tank!* - Part 1 This VW Type 2 T1 “canvas” pick-up is the LEGO replica of a real T1 registered in 1956 in The Netherlands. It was used by the M.v. Noord, a little company based in Amstelveen (close to Amsterdam) that sold and delivered petroleum for domestic heating. Pieter Grabijn, son in law of the son of the first owner, found it in a barn few years ago. It was totally rusty. Peter restored the red pick entirely and now the machine looks really appealing. Below the T1 pictured at the circuit of Zandvoort (NL). This LEGO T1 is based on my previous Road Service T1 but with a different livery. Canvas stitching technique is the same I've used before but this T1 has both the right side and the back side of the canvas rolled up. The tarpaulin is also a little bit lower. Ready to be delivered petroleum jerry cans are located on the load compartment. The license plate is an old Dutch one: PV 88 17. The writing on the load compartment sides means "Esso petroleum for your domestic heating" (It's written in Dutch). Few days ago I posted the T1 on my Facebook page and when the owner saw the post he couldn't believe, he was incredibly happy for this LEGO replica. He showed the T1 to his father in law (the son of the first owner) who cried for the happiness and for the good old memories the T1 reminded him. He still lives in the same address you can see on the doors and even the phone number is the same...This is really incredible! *If you were born in the seventies, then you remember the famous slogan of the Tiger... -
I built different hot rods and T-buckets in the past few months: a Green T-bucket, a Tow Rod, a classic black Roadster, Show Rods... ...but this time I built a unexpected machine... a '23 Ford T-bucket in pure Steampunk-ish style. This little machine features classic T-Bucket elements - an oversize small-block V-8, a short and reinforced chassis, drag slicks, "T" style radiator - mixed with Steampunk characteristics. Black, gold and brown colors are really a great combo and they seem looking tasteful on this little strange vehicle. Even if there are two pipes above the engine, necessary to exhaust the steam, this "T" can also use petrol, it's a sort of hibrid car...in fact on the back you can see the gas tank. [MOC] Fire Truck | '67 Chuck Miller’s Ford C-cab

This crazy machine is my LEGO replica of the well known "Fire Truck", a Show Rod designed in 1967 by legendary Chuck Miller. Miller founded Styline Customs in Detroit in the late 1960s, specialized in building custom and concept cars designed to attract attention and win awards. One of his major successes came at the 1968 Detroit Autorama, where he won the prestigious Ridler Award with the "Fire Truck". Below the LEGO replica and the real one. My LEGO model features many details: - "muscular" chromed blown small-block V-8; - single windshield; - abbreviated wooden ladders; - Good Year drag slicks; - fire engine style gold leaf “Engine n° 13” lettering on the cab sides; - older-style drum headlights; - vintage Model T taillights; - a Motometer radiator cap; - a roof rack. Inside the Cab there are a fire extingusher, an axe, a pick and a fire helmet from Fabuland theme ;) I also used many chromed bricks. While the Fire Truck could be driven on the street, it was really designed to win custom cars shows, and it succeeded decisively, taking the coveted Detroit Autorama Ridler Award in 1968. Beer Wagon | '67 Tom Daniel Mack Bulldog

During the seventies, in the United States, an unusual car trend spread: the "Show Rods". This kind of cars, built from the ground up, were distinguished by an unconventional design, brilliant colors and amazing craftsmanship. Their engines were extremely powerful, yet they rarely touched the road. In other words, these cars were meant to be looked at, not driven. Yes, Show Rods were paradoxical. One of the most famous "Show Rod" designer was Tom Daniel who in 1967 designed the “Beer Wagon” for Monogram, the well known scale models manufacturer. Here my LEGO replica of the "Beer Wagon" based on antique Mack Bulldog chain drive rear end. My "Pilsner" yellow machine features: - fat drag tires on the rear; - chrome dog dish hubcaps; - eight chrome pipes thru the hood; - beer keg gas tanks; - beer keg between the seats; - wooden load compartment. [MOC] '32 Ford "Tow Rod"

Take a classic '32 Ford Hot Rod, paint the whole machine in bright yellow, add a crane on the back and you've got the weirdest Tow Rod ever created! My latest work is based on my previous Ford Roadster cutomized with a classic LEGO crane from early era. I love using old pieces to build my models and the "string reel winch with metal handle and crane arm complete with string and metal hook" fits perfeclty on this crazy Tow Rod. Below the back with the vintage crane and the custmomized license plate The Green "T" seems having some troubles...the yellow machine tows the "T" at the Speed Garage for mixing up, soon it will be back fit. [MOC] "Green T" - '23 Ford T-bucket

Hello, today I show you my latest MOC: the "Green T". Even if I don't live in "The Golden State" I love the strange vehicles called "T- buckets". Seeing these Buckets moving from a beach to another is very usual in California, where I live a little bit less... Anyway, the "Green T" is my last MOC and it's my pride and joy (especially photographed in my Speed Garage). This genuine T-bucket has the two-seater body of a Model T roadster with a little turtle deck in the backside. A full chromed Model T-style radiator is fitted. The big V8 sends power to the oversized rear wheels, with the typical dog dish hubcaps, through the strong drivetrain. A big charger is fitted on the top of the engine. This time I've used many chromed bricks and I think they look great on the "Green T". I love also the white-green color combo. Hello pirate fans, I enjoyed photographing the well known first LEGO pirate ship (set #6285 Black Seas Barracuda, realesd in 1987) close to the first Playmobil pirate ship (set #3550 released in 1978). When LEGO launched the "pirate ship" I was already a teenager inside my dark age, so I bought it a few years ago at a flea market for a few euro. It was a bargain: it was almost complete and the bricks were like new and not played. The Playmobil ship instead is mine: Christmas 1980, my parents gave me the set 3550 that I have kept to this day. I've spent hours and hours playing with this pirateship when I was a child and I'm so happy to still own it! What do you think about these two toy masterpieces? [MOC] ’32 Ford Roadster: Classic Choice

Hello, today I show you my latest MOC: The Roadster. My ’32 Ford roadster is probably one of the most classic and iconic “old school” Hot Rod around. Recently people has discovered again the old school Hot Rods with their smooth design, classic colors and without frills. Original and vintage Hot Rods are considered today as a treasure to conserve and preserve indeed they are sought after and very expensive. I'm fascinated by classic Rods and for this I built this Ford ’32 Roadster with the body of a Ford Model B, released by the American manufacturer from 1932 to 1934, painted in total black. The Roadster fits the V8 flathead with three carburettors and wheels are "oversized" respect to the original ones that were narrower (I didn’t find LEGO wheels that fitted well, at least to me). I used few chromed parts that I think look great on the car. I especially like the big rims with the chromed dish 4 x 4 inverted (Radar). The engine is made of light grey bricks with a touch of chrome. I like to imagine this Roadster racing at Bonneville Speedway in the fifties. Racing number: 74, of course! [MOC] Vespa Garage | Officina Super Sprint

This year Officina Super Sprint turns twenty and to pay tribute for this important anniversary I built the LEGO model of the “Officina”. Officina Super Sprint is a Vespa specialized workshop. It was founded in 1995 by two friends, one of them is also an AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGO) known as Norton74…yes, here I am! My new MOC is called “Dream Garage” and follows “Garage Life”, the oldtimer Volkswagen workshop I built and presented last year. “Dream Garage” features many tools and details. Let’s take a look. A wooden workbench, with wrenches and vise, is positioned at the center of the workshop. On the left of the workbench is positioned the sandblaster. Details are everywhere: checkered flags, advertising signs, trophies, extension cords and more… There are also a mobile roller cabinet with four drawers, the air compressor (a little bit hidden, behind the right lift), the oxy-acetylene welder, the electric welder and the column drill press. In the middle there are two hydraulic scissor lifts to easily work on the Vespas. Last but not least the Garage features three Vespas: two Vespa PX and one Vespa T5 (the one with the square front light). I built the Vespa Workshop last winter and now here it is. [MOC] VOLKSWAGEN T2 BAY - "SURFER PICK-UP"

Hello folks, few weeks ago I presented my custom version of LEGO® set 10220 (VW T1 camper van), the “canvas pick-up” for road service. After having built it I decided to design and create the model that replaced it, the iconic VW T2, introduced in late 1967 and built in Germany until 1979. The T2 is also called Bay or Bay Window. The T2 has surely been the most loved van/pick-up by the surfers of all the world. So I placed two surfboards on the load compartment and I put close to it a classic LEGO® palm tree from pirates series. Here some pictures: Below: my T2 is in my garage for a check. [MOC] VW T1 Snowcat Adventuremobile

Here I am with another Bulli. This time it's something really special. An Austrian engineer recently retrofitted a 1966 VW Bus Bulli T1 with late-’60s Bombardier caterpillar tracks and a DJ sound system capable of causing an avalanche… The Adventuremobile isn’t riding on wheels anymore; instead, the Bulli body has been placed on the chassis of a 1960 Bombardier B01 Spurgrat snowcat. The T1 Snowcat can reach up to 30 mph (50 km/h) in the snow and when parked a DJ booth pops out of the freakin’ roof! Fresh mixes are bumped toward the crowd by way of a 1,000 watt subwoofer, 2 × 300 watt speakers, a five-channel Behringer mixer and a pair of Technics turntables. Let's the party begin! A vintage Ford of Germany Taunus V4 sends power to the left and right tracks via a transmission system that allows the van to move forward, backward, and spin on its own axis. The T1 Adventuremobile version is often used by the ÖAMTC, which is the Austrian automobile association. Specifically, this Bus is being used by ÖAMTC’s youth outreach program, which dabbles in dispensing safe driving advice, travel planning services and other transportation-related informations. It has been hard to make photos because the white bricks I used weren’t all new and some of them were yellowed.
