Monas is a Local Landmark of Jakarta, Indonesia. Inspired by this Yul Burman Karel’s Monas MOC, but I redesigned it. Monas by Kamal Muftie Yafi, on Flickr I actually want to make this model for join this "Local Landmarks contest" in this forum, but the rules state: “All entries are to include only real LEGO. No clone brands, 3rd party parts, or digital entries allowed.”, Sadly, I don’t have all the part that need to create this model, though all the parts are exist in real life. Well, at least this could be an addition to my (digital) creations.

Nicolaus Copernicus probably needs no introduction. Polish astronomer born in 1473. We used to say that "he stopped the Sun and moved the Earth". I had great opportunity (thx LUG zbudujmy.to) to build his monument for LEGO Poland. To be more accurate - to build model of his monument from Torun city. Of course with Lego bricks. Dear EuroBickers, let me share with you my Lego Ideas project which is submitted for voting on 19.04.2016. and currently has 1.439 votes with 488 days to go. The creation is Lego Diocletian's Palace from 305. AD and it represents one of the world best preserved Roman monuments and it is part of the UNESCO heritage. Also, nowdays it is the center of my hometown, Split, Croatia. -snip- Thank you for your time and please let me know what you think about my project!

Hi guys, This is an entry for Oleon's Coronation Festivities challenge. Ceremony at the General Breshaun Monument King Philip I and his wife Queen Beatrice are busy people these days. News of the royal couple's planned trip to Breshaun has caused great excitement among the local populace, and upon their arrival, the entire town is now eager to present itself in the best light possible. Breshaun is experiencing a boom these days, its growth is literally visible, and a lot of prestigious buildings and structures have been finished just in time for the royal visit. Among these is the new monument to honor General Breshaun - the city's first governor - errected in the middle of the main market square. Now, for its inauguration a ceremony is being held - of course attended by King and Queen. And it seems that despite the early morning hours, a lot of citizens are afoot and want to welcome the royal couple, and proudly show them what the people of Breshaun are capable of creating here in their thriving city. about: This started out as a small, simple statue, but I got carried away, and this happened. The cross shaped base and the cobblestone pattern around the monument are meant to be an homage to general Breshaun's insignia, represented on the city flag - which is based on this part here. What else? Well, minifig creation and placement is really not something I enjoy in LDD. Apart from that, building this went astonishingly smooth, and I'm quite happy with the result. WASHINGTON MONUMENT PIECES: 4128 DIMENSIONS: 15” L x 15” W x 51 ½” H WEIGHT: 10.15 lbs The Washington Monument is an obelisk on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., built to commemorate George Washington (1732-1799), once commander-in-chief of the early Continental Army and the first president of the United States of America. He exemplified the core ideals of the American Revolution and the new nation: republican virtue and devotion to civic duty. Completed in 1884, the monument, constructed of marble, granite, and bluestone gneiss, is the tallest stone structure in the world, standing at 555’ 5 1/8” tall (169.294 m). It was the tallest structure in the world until 1889 when the Eiffel Tower was completed in Paris, France. This sculpture, created entirely from 4128 official LEGO® pieces, faithfully reproduces the elegance of this incredibly impressive and instantly recognizable monument. The completed scale (1:131) of the sculpture captures the awesome presence of the real monument. The Washington Monument is deceptively difficult to design to proper scale with available LEGO® pieces while also capturing the graceful angles of the obelisk sides and top pyramid. By gradually stepping-in the sides of the monument, the completed sculpture is able to very closely capture the 88.8 degree angle of the sides and the 72.6 degree slope of the top pyramid. As part of design modifications in 1876, the monument entrance was modified as shown in the model. Today the entrance is covered by a temporary visitor screening center, erected in 2001. The screening center was omitted from the design to better capture the look of the original monument. Today the monument is situated in the center of five concentric rings of light and dark circular stone pavers. While capturing all the stone rings to scale would create too large of a display footprint, the first three rings were accurately captured to scale. The modern monument is also ringed by 56 flags (one for each state and U.S. territory), but due to the designed scale only 24 flags are used to capture the effect. Typically many LEGO® models are designed “studded” in appearance. However, this particular model was designed to eliminate the appearance of LEGO® piece studs. This “stud-less” look adds an incredible level of realism to the final model.

Hello Once again an entry for the MELOs on MOCpages. My category was to interpret the following quote: “Let this be the hour when we draw swords together. Fell deeds awake. Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn!" I didn't want to build the hundredth Helm's Deep so i build the battle of Erebor from the Hobbit. There isn't an interpretation of Peter Jackson so far. That allowed me to build my own one. Highlight of building was definitely the dwarf monument. Explore more details on MOCpages! Hello i made this moc with a big AFOL Friend The name translate in English its somethink like "Star Basilic" its a monumente in Lisbon, Portugal made with some withe leftovers bricks :P Hope you like it
