    Modular Office MOC

I have been working on an office / apartment building to go with my official sets, and have got the main parts done. The ground floor has the main entrance with an office either side of the entry, and a central staircase going up to the two apartments on the first floor. Here is the street view Office_01 A high shot. Office_03 Mrs. Scratchen is going to live in one of the apartments and she is inspecting it along with her cat. This next photo below gives a hint of what one of the offices may be. Office_04 An overview of the ground floor. I will be fitting out the offices this weekend. Office_05 And here it is in the street next to the posh restaurant and the cool cinema. Office_02 This is my third attempt at a modular MOC and the first one I'm happy with (the other two have been demolished). I used a bunch of parts from 3 bike shop / cafe sets to get started with this, and the dark red bricks from that set was the inspiration for the colour scheme. Comments and criticisms are welcome. Thanks for taking a look.

    Orange Style House

Hi Everybody! Here is my new creation. On the ground it is a bookshop with reading corner and upstairs a batchelor flat. I hope you like it! I know it is little bit unusual because it is in the middle of the plate, but i think it is very good for a pedestrian only destrict or something like this. I will build one in the future. 4. Hello all, I wanted to share with you my work in progress. I want to build a minifig scale Caserta Palace from Caserta, Italy. The palace looks like this: http://www.visitnapl...rta-990x300.jpg And this is what i've come up with until now (about 15 hours of work). https://www.flickr.c...08/15518544693/ https://www.flickr.c...08/15950826528/ Thanks!

    Drive-Thru McDonalds Modular [MOC]

Hello all, this is my improved Drive-Thru McDonalds that I have up on LEGO Ideas. Features - removable roof, booths for customers, counter flips up to allow worker to enter/leave, refrigerator, oven, stove in kitchen with clock, soda dispenser (or sink), sunroof, spinnable "Big M" on top. It has come to my attention for the USA (or non UK country) I have the drive-thru going the wrong way. Need to fix that. This works with modulars or stand along in a city layout. It is improved from my original concept which was a mini-McDonalds.
  6. Hi All, Here's my 3 x Modular combo review of the Grand Emporium, Pet Shop and Parisian Restaurant. As I was doing some re-organizing of our LEGO I decided to do an overview of these 3 really nice sets. The full overview with detailed images here http://www.boxtoy.co...s-GE-PS-PR.html I really enjoyed looking back at these sets along with taking the pictures so I hope everyone enjoys it. Do feel free to comment and feedback. Tobysan
  7. Hi everyone! For many months, my train station was almost finished - just now I took the time to populate the platforms and make all those signs... here's the result: » Flickr album with many more photos My Lego town is called "Port Birch", and this is its South Station. I figured that only 5 tracks aren't enough for the main station of a town with trams, metro, and suburban trains (S-Bahn). Architecturally inspired by several real stations and other buildings... Back side: Interior, from top: Ground floor: In case you're interested but can't read it, this is the train schedule. Note that it's 14:58 now. 09:22 - IC 4558 - Hintertupfingen - platform 5 - indefinite delay (but it just arrived) 14:55 - IC 7740 - Stuttgart via Friedrichshafen, Meckenbeuren, Biberach, Ulm - platform 3 - delayed 15 min 14:59 - RE 2 - Lego City via North station, Belville, Legoland 15:12 - TGV 233 - Paris Est via Stuttgart, Strasbourg, Lorraine, Ch.-Ardenne - platform 2 15:17 - RE 2 - Chimatown via Springfield, Oletown - platform 3 15:29 - RE 2 - same as 14:59 15:40 - E 10194 - Istanbul via Wien, Budapest, Beograd, Sofia - platform 4 - reservation only 15:41 - RE 1 - Emmeton via East Harbor, Bricking - platform changed to 5 15:47 - RE 2 - like 15:17 15:47 - RE 1 - North station - delay 5 min So you see, the REs (Regional Express) are local to this small country, while the others are more or less actual routes. (Well, except for Hintertupfingen, German name for a hypothetical insignificant village). Second floor, offices: Left: Station master with an applicant for a new job; center: secretary; right: security, sign control, announcements. Toilets: Waiting area: Third floor, café: Flowers and books: Back outside, we can see a railway official posing with a fez next to the Orient Express: More photographers and tourists: A group of travelers in elegant (and old-fashioned) clothes going down to their Orient Express - well, looking at the top, maybe they will be down sooner than they'd like: On the next platform: Hoop diddy diddy, hoop diddy do... :) » Flickr album with many more photos Hope you like it. :)

    [MOC] Book Store

Hey guys, I'd like to present my modular Book Store. It's a little smaller than the other modulars, but I like it. No interior yet, don't usually like them, but for a book store, I might have to put in some books. A picture with one of my other MOCs and the PS. (Sorry for the potato quality) With more of my modulars. This is a temporary setup, as my shelf had to be off my wall because of construction on my house. Thanks for looking!

    [MOC] Planet OSWION Expedition

A team of astronauts explore several planets to find new/unknown ores. The astronauts discovered a new planet, ‘’OSWION’’. They build a space station, which contains a Intergalactic Communications Tower, Planetary Observation Centre, a power plant, a research and observation compound, Landing platforms for spaceships. The astronuts build a monorail to transport the containers easily. The astronauts use their vehicles to explore the planet and dig ores and energy crystals. The space ships and vehicles are modular, you can easy rebuild them by swapping and combining the components. Every mission need it’s own vehicle. Some buildings, like the power plant and Intergalactic Communications Tower, are motorized by Power Functions. At the left side of the layout, a large portal is build to enter planet OSWION. The light in the protal is EL wire. It took 11 month's to build the layout. SDRnet Winter Village

This diorama represents a full year of work (of my little free time). Here is his short story: at the end of 2011 I presented on EB my Winter Church who has won the fifth place in the contest "Expand the Winter Village II". The church was located on a small winter diorama consists of 4 baseplates 32x32 with the first two sets of Lego official winter. In December of 2012 I presented instead the Winter Town Hall for the "Expand the Winter Village Contest III" that won the second place! These two buildings were needed for my new project: I decided to completely rebuild the first rudimentary village to build a large diorama winter. After several months of work have come to the end of my first goal. The Winter Village you see is composed of 12 baseplates 32x32 but my final project will provide for the use of 40 bases (10x4 = 2,5 x 1 meter). It will probably take at least another 3 years for this goal but in the meantime I'll keep you updated! At present the village is composed of a central square with a stone fountain, statue and Christmas tree decorated, a church, an outdoor bar, the bakery, the town hall, the toy store, the post office (modified), a souvenir shop, a motorized water mill, a stone bridge, the Lego cottage (modified). All surrounded by snow covered trees and various funny skits with characters more or less famous. I hope to post soon new detail images on flickr. Village exposed at Ballabio 2013 (Lecco - Italy): Village exposed in my house: HD images: http://www.unafotoal...labio_2013L.jpg http://www.unafotoal...llage_2013L.jpg Hoping that this work captures your interest, good vision at all! Hi everybody, this is my first modular moc, built in cooperation with my boyfriend Genecyst: The Laundry! This three-floors building is divided between a small laundry at the ground floor and a big apartment at 1st and 2nd floor. Here's the complete model: These are the top views of the floors: Ground Floor First Floor 2nd Floor Front view of the laundry shop with its big signboard and sliding doors. Inside the laundry "Street" view: Inside the first floor apartment (living room and kitchen) Puppy in the kitchen: Inside of the 2nd floor apartment (bedroom, small bathroom and balcony): 2nd floor balcony: From the left: the customer, the owners of the apartment and the laundry employee, Puppy and Reis. Hope you like it! bye
  14. I came across this cute Lego project I wanted to share with you. I have the impression western themes in general are not so popular? This project is a bit more than just another western topic. What do you think of western themes? Are they in or out? As to my last thread concerning Goblin Fortress in Lego Ideas I agree with Kodan Black, Lord Dan and the_Cook. What are your comments on Lego Pueblo? I tried to make a screenshot of one of the pics for you. Hope the quality is good enough, if not, well you got the link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/74687 Cheers P.S. I found another interesting project in Lego Ideas which I would like to share with you. I am curious what you will say to that one. In time I will post.
  15. Hey, I'am working on a Lego train and my layout is fine. It's now time to add houses and so on. I already have Creator house 4956 and 4886. They look fine and size looks good. I plan to buy modular to create a small city. I would like to know how modular will looks side Creator house. I also see some modular-like : 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe. I'am searching for pictures with Creator houses, modular and those modular-like. I would like to know if size match and if they can be mixed. Perhaps I don't use the good words to google for picts but I did not found such pictures. I found a picture form this topic but the viewing angle did not help to compare. PS : Sorry for my poor English. It doesn't help to search...

    MOD: Pet^H^H^H Bike Shop

My First MO[CD] based on the Pet Shop that I did about 2 years ago. The Pet shop is my favorite modular and the only one I currently own more than one copy of. I built the brownstone as a mirror image and it is displayed next to the original.

  19. Hello to everyone. I'm desperately looking for pictures of the rear of the famous Painted Ladies in Alamo Square. I'm trying to make them as modular buildings, but even if I bought some books I've never found any pictures of the rear. What lies there? Where no one has eventually been? Does anyone has some pictures or can take some pictures of the rear? Thank you in advance.
  20. Hi all Here's some pics of the lastest addition to my Brickston high street, a music shop an underground station like the ones seen around London. Let me know what you think Can I interest you in a guitar sir? No. How about a piano or a drum kit? Nice apartment. Must be some cash lying around.... oh no the cops are on to me!! Just chilling in my rooftop Jacuzzi Hope you enjoyed. Check out my flickr for more photos (I'll try and take some better ones in the next few days) or check out my first moc, the florist (sorry shameless plug!!)

New Layout in a new country

A few months ago I packed up my entire Lego collection and handed it over to the hopefully trustworthy hands of a shipping company as I prepared to move from the UK to the US, and after 2 months waiting it finally arrived this side of the pond - guess which boxes were unpacked first!? It's the only time in my life I trusted someone else to move my collection, I was very glad it arrived intact! The wait gave me time to find a place to live with enough space for a layout, and after some work in the basement to repair a cracked pipe, I've begun building again. The layout (in rough numbers) is 15' x 4' (4.6m x 1.25m) or 18 x 5 in the "standard" Lego measurement of 32x32 baseplates. It's based on previous multi-level layouts I've done, running 2 x 12v and 1 9v loop(s) on each level. The top level will run approx 2/3 of the length of the bottom level, allowing me to create a bit more landscape this time. As before it's entirely modular, breaking into 6 sections for relatively easy transport. It's still very much a WIP, though as I now have dedicated space I can leave it set up and run trains as it progresses. There are several months of work ahead yet :-) From one end: DSC00872 by andyglascott, on Flickr And the other... DSC00871 by andyglascott, on Flickr I've even found a use for the few 12v rails that I've managed to break, there's a repair crew doing their best to salvage them! DSC00882 by andyglascott, on Flickr I've also made the switch from Brickshelf to Flickr, my apologies of the images/links above don't work properly, the album is here. I'll add more images over the coming weeks/months.

    [MOC] Forgotten Ruins

This is a MOC that was created to go with big fantasy diorama "Studogrod", that was displayed in Warsaw on Polish LUG LugPOL exhibition. I wanted to create some ruins that has been taken over by a tree as time went by. I spent some time creating some instructions for it as well - you can find them on Rebrickable under this link. All photos of this MOC can be found here. If you happen to build this MOC, please let me know your thought about the building process and your general impressions in the comments section. And here goes the MOC - a brave knight explores the forgotten ruins when suddenly he encounters an unexpected being... :)

    [MOC] Little Modulars

Hi everyone! I usually don't post any creations here but my wife thinks that I should share this... so here it is! Some time ago I tried to reduce the modulars in an attempt to have the space and money to build them in real bricks, since I've missed the opportunity to get the real ones (Dark Age). This is the first one with a personal touch. You can see more pictures here. The blue columns near the door are supposed to be the original ones, but for some reason I couldn't put them on LDD. I've build them to fit a 16x16 plate, the sidewalk is supposed to fit on the road plates. They are open back for easier access to the interior. I didn't finished them all, soon I will post the Green Grocer, Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium. Edit 01 Here is the Green Grocer: You can see more pictures here.
  25. Hi everyone! As I really liked the 7346 Seaside House, I bought two and turned them into a 16-wide modular building with two small studios. The lower has a terrace with direct beach access, the upper a large balcony and the bedroom upstairs. Comments and suggestions welcome, thanks for looking! --- Jamie is nervous - maybe tonight's dinner at the fancy restaurant is a better opportunity? Originals on Flickr.
