  1. Here is the latest from the engineers and mechanics of Central Machines! The XVI "Manticore" Class mech! The most powerful war machine in Central Machine's arsenal. It has two massive 6cm gatling cannons on either side of the two-person cockpit. A smaller machine gun is located in the undercarriage. This powerful machine carries six automaton infantry troops housed in the rear. A delightful play feature (see video) allows you to pull out all troops at a single time. Here's a side view. And an upward shot. And here is a link to the video of the play feature: http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/

    Pirates Minibarf too

Here's my latest I've been working on, Hayreddrin Barbossa (Redbeard). Now I need to build a crew of Barbary pirates to go with my Xebec. Here's most of the crew from Vengeance. Captain "Dead Eye Dave", Star reader "Lady LeeAnn", Quartermaster "Nathaniel", Surgeon "Lord Herzig" Next we have Bosun "Erica", Copper "Pierre", Master gunner "Sparks", Gunner "Misfire Mike" Next up, Swabbie "Smee", Carpenter "Chisel Charlie", Gunner "One Eye William", Navigator "Joshua"
  3. Hi everyone! This is my new MOC, a small scale version of my past Land Rover Defender 90, with which I got really frustrated. ( http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101819&st=0 ) It's approximetely technic figures scale. It has hand of god steering and suspended rear axle. Also you can open doors, hood, and back. Hope you liked it! See ya soon!
  4. A boys (probably) room from the 80s. I got inspiration to this model after watching some 80s movies that contained scenes similiar to this one (such as E.T., Goonies etc) and saw how cosy and detailed these rooms were, filled with toys, but still well-decorated and organazied for the movie. Perhaps you recognize some of the toys?

    Blue hovercar

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting a MOC here. I've made it a while ago, but due to being camera-less for a while, I couldn't take any photos of anything! Hope you like it. More pics in photostream. Blue hovercar by Last0rder, on Flickr
  6. Hello, and thanks for reading! This is my current home layout, built over various iterations in the last year. I started with nothing but the desire of getting back into trains and into Lego. Given I had limited space, I settled for a 4 ftx6 ft rectangle, or roughy 7 x 5 32-stud baseplates. Here's the BlueBrick diagram: Layout in BlueBrick, on Flickr And here's the first version, with green felt over the raw wood panel: Initial layout Here's a view from above -- it was not easy to take this picture :) Layout full view Modulars on 'main street' are temporarily with their top floors removed so we can see the whole railroad. This is a view from the other side: Layout from the back I am able to run two trains concurrently, and keep a third one on a side line, which has been good for a while. Now I want to build more, and I am again kind of out of space.. ..problem is, in the meantime I also got somewhat addicted to modular buildings.. so it's a constant struggle to use space as best as possible. I eventually opted for a 'custom' road between two rows of buildings, which saved me some space. I also wanted to have a feeling of a small but vibrant town, pedestrian and bike friendly. No private cars. The little smart-like cars mimic the 'car2go' shared cars we have in Seattle. The tunnel helped creating some more space for buildings: Tunnel The other good thing about the current layout is that it leaves enough space for a decent station: Train Station - Stazione Still a WIP, once I'm more satisfied with the interior I'll add more pictures and a post for that. I think I will now look for a different 'iteration' and different layout.. suggestions? I could possibly expand the available space by one baseplate in either (but not both!) direction. I would like to accommodate 4 or 5 trains, and at this point I don't care anymore to run several of them at the same time. I just want to build and display more trains :) Lastly, thanks for all of you who participate in the forum and keep it alive. This is my first year "back" in lego and I learned a lot from all of you and your great creations. Keep on building!
  7. This is what broke my builder's block last month. Then I looked at the rules again and it wasn't eligible because it wasn't from the movies of The Clone Wars. However, I'm still quite happy with this MOC, I'm most proud of the fact that the wings actually open! Flickr Set Facebook January 2013

    A retro starfighter

Well not so retro-looking, but as this is the oldest MOC I have around assembled (age 10 years+), so I decided to call it retro anyway. Here are some shots from a few angles:

    Orange Style House

Hi Everybody! Here is my new creation. On the ground it is a bookshop with reading corner and upstairs a batchelor flat. I hope you like it! I know it is little bit unusual because it is in the middle of the plate, but i think it is very good for a pedestrian only destrict or something like this. I will build one in the future. A small vintage villa

So trying my hand for the first time in house building resulted in this little vintage villa somewhere down south. From a minifigs perspective when entering through the gate: Alternating between side-studded bricks and headlight bricks brought some extra texture to the corners: The terrace (unfortunately I ran out of those black fences and didn't bother with a BL order for them): This is a front-face MOC, but here are the other sides as well:

    2015 Nui Rama

So recently, inspired by an offhand comment my twin brother made about wanting to see/build an updated version of the classic Nui-Rama set, I decided to try my hand at a MOC. After much planning, preparation on LDD, and scavenging parts from recent Technic sets, the result is what you see here. A "Skull Sandfly" (still not 100% sold on the name, but I like the alliteration). I tried to recreate the look of the classic set while giving it a much-needed update, with CCBS parts replacing the classic low-posability Bionicle limbs and the dated Throwbot/Slizer gearbox cleared out to make way for a custom gearbox which utilizes the knob gears from this year's Technic-heavy Toa and Lord of Skull Spiders. The function looks better (thanks in part to the wings from Gorast and Thornraxx) and arguably works better, with less wobble and a better grip for the handle. The jaw and claws are now posable, thanks to parts from last year's Hero Factory sets, and the eyes are now solidly attached instead of weirdly popping off like other masks. And at 103 pieces, it gives the original a run for its money in terms of bulk and building experience as well. 13. Hey guys! This is my first entry to this year’s CCC, to the Fairy Tale Castle Category. It’s Rapunzel’s Tower. According to the original story written by the Brother’s Grimm, Rapunzel was a beautiful girl, locked up by an evil witch on a tower with no doors or stairs located deep in the forest. After a year or two, it came to pass that the Prince rode through the forest and went by the tower. He heard a song which was so lovely that he stood still and listened. This was Rapunzel who in her loneliness passed her time singing. The Prince wanted to climb up to her, and looked for the door of the tower, but none was to be found… The rest, you all know… :p It was a HUGE pain to photograph a MOC this size. The lighting never seemed right and in honesty I don´t think the photos do justice to this build, but I di9d the best I could :/ Some photos: Rapunzel's Tower Rapunzel's Tower Rapunzel's Tower
  14. So this eccentric little tank came into being from the idea of making something silly from a military vehicle. This particular tank has passed through several owners, each adding their own modifications to the vehicle resulting in the steampunky, vikingy, flowery look. Fighter jet, "Delta Bird"

So here is my first airplane MOC - a modern fighter plane, after going through several iteration rounds it actually came out to be quite nice actually (taking in account I've never built a plane before, ofcourse). Not built after any real-world model, the shape evolved through the building process. From different angles: In "flight": A close-up of the cockpit: Some work in progress photos to show the evolution:
  16. Well guys, I've been lurking here for a few months and finally decided to join the party. After being inspired by many creations here and elsewhere, I decided to attempt to recreate one of my favorite vehicles from the Mass Effect video game series, the M35 Mako. I've spent about two months building and refining this based on the part inventory I currently have. It has been quite a joy driving around for several weeks over the holidays. Alas, in order to build new things I must decontruct this. My best option was to attempt to learn LDD and "save" the model for next time. This was my first time using the program and mostly it worked out, with only a few alignment issues. I am including an LDD file for now. Please let me know what you think. I hope to do more builds in the future and share them now that I know how :) M35 Mako - Lxf file Here are a few specs: Rear wheels driven by 4 M motors Front wheels driven by 1 L motor Steering via Servo Motor Manually operated turret with full 360 rotation and vertical lift via LA 2 Battery packs + 2 IR receivers fully independent suspension including dual shock system in front A few notes on LDD file: Battery packs and IRs will sit lower in physical model Steering linkage should be raised by 2 studs to fit perfectly (LDD would not allow me to place correctly) Small hard yellow shocks should be fitted between the two black pins on the front suspension, location is just between the two pairs of 5L half width beams. Tilted bottom front panels should connect to pins just above. Front studded beams can be moved one stud closer to body (replace 3L connection with 2L supplied below) LDD would not permit the proper parts Inner arm of each large shock should be connected to the axle located one beam higher than represented. (should be obvious) Please leave feedback! Enjoy!

    [MOC] Norwegian sørlandssjekte

I built this as a xmas-present for my grandmother this year. It's modeled after a typical old style "sørlandsjekte" which is the same as my grandparents used to have before my grandfather passed away. I could not find a name for this type of boat in english. In Norwegian it's most commonly referred to as a "sjekte" in the south of Norway, and a "snekke" elsewhere. The style and construction method of this type of boat is the same as viking ships used to have. Just modernized with an engine. These boats are not built to go fast though, they cruise along slowly, and make a very characteristic sound. My entry for MELO 2015 Round 1, inspired by Gollum's Song by Emiliana Torrini.
  19. Haunted Manor by donwilson, on Flickr The history of our Haunted Manor is plagued with ghostly beings and tortured souls. Infested with spiders and rats, these creatures seem to find their way into every nook of this dark manor. The land is gray and the trees are bare, there isn't much life on this small plot of land. As their butler Wolfram sweeps the front porch and Guinevere walks her pet Legs around the block, Mr. M inspects his skull collection. Around the corner, Kimberly screams in terror when she finds herself in the same predicament as the skeleton hanging next to her. I've spent the past couple months building this haunted manor after continusously failing to buy Lego's Haunted House (#10228) at a reasonable price. This is my first major MOC and a bit late for Halloween. I'm inspired by the masters of Lego MOCs - Derfel Cadarn, Legonardo Davidy, and cesbrick. This is my first submission to Eurobricks and I hope you like it! Haunted Manor by donwilson, on Flickr

    Mineshaft Vignette (MOC)

This happens to be my first Vignette I made on Lego Digital Designer. I hope you like it. If you look at the bottom right corner of the base, you can see a well-sized chunk of gold ore. I decided to include Technic pins so that I can attach it to other Vignettes.
  21. I've been wanting to make this since I got back into Lego roughly two years ago, and had just started playing around with a road wheel setup for it when [TC6] was announced! Firstly here are a couple pictures of the real vehicle in Norwegian service If you google CV9030 you'll find tons more Obviously building this in studless Technic is out of the question, so I am currently in the process of building my first studded MOC in around 20 years! It is also an all time first building a military tracked vehicle, as well as something studded based on a real vehicle, as well as building PF into a studded model. I want to make it fairly small, so small track links it is (I hope to one day make a properly detailed model of the same vehicle in larger scale using the new style tracks). Anyway, seeing as 99% of my studded brick collection has been sat in the same place collecting dust for the past 15-20 years, I'm rather handicapped both in parts selection as well as colour: As you can see, it's not ideal by any standards. Building studded is so different from studless, it feels almost like two completely different toys! I'm going to have to redesign the transmission, and possibly relocate the motors. The space inside between the suspension "rubber band arms" is only 4 studs. Although the real CV90 uses torsion bar suspension, using that at this small scale would be way too stiff, and thus not make any sense. I will much rather have functional, soft suspension, as you can see in the above picture. So, that's it for now, still quite a way to go as you can see I will do a lot of tinkering in LDD with regards to the turret design, and hopefully the final physical model will be either LBG or white (like the ones in UN service).

    MOC: Dieselpunk "Gremlin" Class Mech

With a clank and a hiss, the Gremlin is ready for action! The smallest mounted unit in the Central Machine's arsenal, The Gremlin is a versatile little mech that works as scout, infantry, and artillery. During the Blackblood Wars Central Machines produced over 65,000 Gremlins making the most produced mech to date. I based this MOC using the skeleton of Exo-Force 7711. http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7711-1 Here is an open-cockpit photo.

    Drive-Thru McDonalds Modular [MOC]

Hello all, this is my improved Drive-Thru McDonalds that I have up on LEGO Ideas. Features - removable roof, booths for customers, counter flips up to allow worker to enter/leave, refrigerator, oven, stove in kitchen with clock, soda dispenser (or sink), sunroof, spinnable "Big M" on top. It has come to my attention for the USA (or non UK country) I have the drive-thru going the wrong way. Need to fix that. This works with modulars or stand along in a city layout. It is improved from my original concept which was a mini-McDonalds.
