  1. Hi everyone, Let me introduce you one of my latest creation : X-Men vs one of their iconic enemy - the sentinel : X-Men are ready to battle : There are different color codes for these mighty robots and I chosed the magenta / dark blue combination like this kind of sentinel. (and also because I had these dome parts in magenta that where perfect for the top of the head ^^) Well, it's not easy to deal with magenta as there are not many different parts in this color (and it can quickly become expensive) but I'm quite happy with the result. The creation will be displayed in an upcoming event in France (Fanabriques) as I saw that super heroes creations are quite popular with the audience A last overall picture to conclude : Hope you'll like it. Comments & criticisms are welcome :)

  4. Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm truely a LEGO fan:) Here is one of my recent work based on Marvel Super Heroes theme, and hope you guys enjoy it! For more details, please check the link below. If you like the model, please give your support. Thanks a lot! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85922 THE STORY The project features the scene from the movie Captain America: The First Avenger. Red Skull is escaping in his flying-wing with the cosmic cube, and Captain America is chasing him, but he is losing his target. Thanks to Peggy Carter and Colonel Chester Phillips, who come with Red Skull's roadster for help! After kissing Peggy goodbye, the mighty Captain jumps onto the aircraft from the roadster and saves the day! THE FLYING-WING The flying-wing is built mainly with dark grey, light grey, black and some dark red bricks. The front cockpit can open and fit one minifig, probably Red Skull himself. The back cockpit can also open, where Red Skull place the cosmic cube. THE ROADSTER The roadster is built with black and dark red bricks, and can fit two minifigures comfortably. Peggy and Colonel Chester Phillips are driving the luxurious car, although it is Red Skull's ride. For more details of the roadster, please refer to this link (including the car model from real bricks): https://ideas.lego.com/projects/83538/updates THE MINIFIGS This project includes four minifigs: Captain America, Red Skull, Peggy Carter and Colonel Chester Phillips. As for the accessories: Captain America is holding his shield; Red Skull has a big gun in one hand and the cosmic cube in the other; Peggy and the Colonel are both holding a pistol. All four minifigs have custom decals on their heads and torsos.

    (MOC) Mini X-Wing Display

Continuing my habit of making displays for my poybags, here is my display for my Mini X-Wing Fighter As you can see, it holds it up quite well And let me try out a new way of making a space background I hope you like it! And, remember, comments are always appreciated!
  8. Designed my first SHIiP (Seriously Huge Investment in Parts). DondoDyne SC-8030 "Goblin", a heavily armored gunboat on-par with the Skipray Blastboat. Eight ball-jointed engines, attached to four swiveling hubs for maximum maneuverability in and out of atmospheres. No reliance on repulsorlift or antigravity systems, making it perform equally across all environments, terrestrial or no. The bright red "shoot me here" fuel tanks are highly combustible, and when destroyed, often cause a chain reaction destroying all tanks, and causing damage to nearby ships. Perfect for suicide missions! The two rear crew are gunners, and the forward crew is made up of a pilot and co-pilot, the co-pilot having control of the lower turret, as well as the fuel, inertia, electrical, and communication systems. The pilot must balance use of the twin concussion missile launchers, five forward mounted laser cannons, the proton torpedo launcher, and the eight individually articulated engines. The swiveling hubs function on the s-foil system, so that's one thing off of the cluttered mind of a Goblin pilot. The pilot and co-pilot need to be trained heavily, and trained together. If one messes up, there's a big chance of it barreling into the ground while on fire and spinning. comments/criticism? these images can be found in my "musings" folder, i'll make a dedicated folder for this when i build it irl

    [MOC] Stranded whale

Last weekend was my Norwegian LUG's annual event, PÃ¥ Kloss Hold. This year we held a contest where we each built a 16x16 section of a beach (within some standard parameters). I chose to build a (tiny) stranded whale for my beach. Here's the result! Stranded whale by cecilihf, on Flickr Stranded whale by cecilihf, on Flickr

    MOC - The Imperial Canal

The Imperial Army has built a canal passing through a larger island. The exit and entrances are guarded by Military outposts with few soldiers stationed in them. It's not the best, but I thought it turned out nice. Enjoy!
  11. Which LEGO Technic fan by now has not heard of Madoca1977? Two years ago he burst onto the MOC scene with some of the best Technic MOCs the LEGO world had ever seen, and has been releasing excellent MOC after excellent MOC ever since. Now, he has agreed to sit down with us folks at Rebrickable for an exclusive interview. Here's a snippet: Check out the rest of the interview over at Rebrickable.

  13. Hello there! Recently I was browsing through some old pictures and I stumbled upon this beauty - beach buggy - built for the Lego Technic take the Challange contest. It was built in 2011 Features: All wheel independent suspension Doors can open Super fake steering wheel and V4 engine (none of them works :D ) Working steering Detailed interrior I still remember how I was building it.. it's definitely a blast from the past.. And yeah, it's a shame that TLG discontinued the "Take the challenge" contest.. Good day everyone! TGBDZ
  14. (Ok first off I'm terrible with naming characters, these guys sound like pokemon! ) Anyway this is a project I've wanted to do for a while, but because of exams I couldn't even start on it until yesterday! Essentially I wanted to make a toa of magnetism, but then one of my friends suggested I make 2 of them to account for the opposite poles. And so Charpai and Toraros were born! Charpai controls the attraction forces of magnetism and Toraros controls the repulsion. But then I had the idea of taking these guys a step further by giving them a new form... Polarus! A shot showing the two components, and how they are connected Tahu for size... Thanks for looking . Does Polarus stack up? Comments and Criticisms welcome!

    Go Pro going gone?

For those that use the GoPro video recorder for showing your MOCs (Sariel I know uses one, or at least a variant) I am curious to see their reaction to this latest news. Here is the article. In sum, Apple received a patent to produce its own version of the GoPro camera. Smaller, lighter, cheaper and supposed to filter out wind and other noises better. Has anyone the inside scoop on this prodict. Thoughts, comments? Strengths or weaknesses of the GoPro versus Apple's new version? http://money.cnn.com/2015/01/13/technology/gopro-apple-patent/index.html

    Azure Express - MOC

Hi All, I've finished (and also renamed) my old WIP (http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=108092) Azure Blue - Model T *Edit* Adding a photo of the finished model Renders: And (thanks to my wife) it's now been approved on LEGO Ideas! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102261 As it seems there is no Creator Train coming soon, I want to show that there is demand for LEGO trains. I'd appreciate any support. I've been a bit sneaky and added a carriage which is very similar to the Emerald Night one: If it ever made it into a set, then it would be easy to modify to get it back to the Emerald night ones! I missed out on the LEGO set, but have bricklinked a carriage, so I'll build it in the original colours. I've got all the bricks now and will be building and updating with real world pics over the weekend! Have a good one Cheers Dylan
  18. Hi. Thought I'd shove up my very first MOC / MOD. It's heavily influenced by the Daily Bugle and I did it as an exercise to see if I was capable of performing the strange mathematics / engineering / voodoo necessary to wrangle a modular out of an existing set. I chose to do a news building first as I have a (hardly updated) blog that mirrors the 'LEGO NEWS' 2x2 tile in terms of design, so making the office in which the blog is written added to the fun. Inside is a bit sparse to be frank - the bottom floor is supposed to be a chilled, corporate looking, swish lobby in which members of the public can grab a coffee and be interviewed for the paper. A flight of stairs leads to the white walled workhouse, in which the poorly paid staff slave away. Overlooking this is a mezzanine level, where the editor in chief gets to bark at his staff from above. A ladder leads from there onto the split level roof, just in case the place bursts into flames or whatnot! (the place is, after all, a hotbed of activity). I did have a better picture of the front of the building but the windows were filthy... lol I'll find some better photos if there's any interest in the project. Overall, it was great fun to do and I'm now hooked on making modulars. PS - hope I've got the posting of images correct in terms of netiquette here... [moc] Movie Set

Over the past week I have been working on a small movie set. It includes working bay doors, a fallen worker, a green screen and other people milling around. I apologize for the darkness of them but in a way it is fitting for the building. An overview from one side https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2015/05/11/image3cc35.jpg Another overview going the other way. https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2015/05/11/image83ec7.jpg A view through the bay doors. https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2015/05/11/imaged0e79.jpg The fallen figure. That is why you shouldn't work in the dark. https://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2015/05/11/imagece91e.jpg

    [MOC] 60008 "Inspired" City Museum

Hello! This is my city museum inspired by 60008 Museum Break-In. (http://brickset.com/sets/60008-1/Museum-Break-in) Of course, what is a museum without a detailed interior? After retiring from the Ultra Agents, Solomon Blaze has retired to a quiet job at the City Museum. Here is the museum in my city layout. Oh no! What's happening here? Never fear, the Caped Crusader will make short work of him... Thanks for looking! Comments and criticism are welcome!
  22. All, I am trying to build the core structure of a Cadillac Eldorado Biarriz 1959. As it's a convertible the chassis needs to be very strong as I have no roof to support it and the door should open up. So except for the center 3 studs, the chassis can only be 2 studs high, especially in the center where the seat are. I have created a structure that works ok for now, but seems quite "solid" and require a lot of beams. Anybody any ideas on how to make it as stiff as possible while potentially reducing number of parts needed? Top View Update 21-04-2014 The front shape is starting to look like the real thing. Next step the bonnet..... Update 30-04-2015. Bonnet and dashboard are ready, lights and motor wiring all routed to the back, time to model the backside section!! :sweet:

    MOC WIP: Convenience store

First attempt at a Town MOC; a well known convenience store. Because minifigures, like us, may very well crave for a hot dog and a beer at midnight. I don't have too many bricks so this was done the best way I could. Home-made stickers are a bit cheap but in the end they look not too bad to my eyes. I haven't finished the top as I still don't know if i try to make it modular or if i just let it on its own and give it a roof. It's open I started building more detailed air conditioners, but they looked less good to me than these good old fashioned printed bricks! The whole inside is pretty naive. I put many windows because i wanted to be able to see what's going on inside even when it will have a roof This gentleman looks spoilt for choice
  25. A little urban renewal to transition the Detective Office part of town with the more classy modulars... my latest modular is "Chop", a small Asian fusion bistro in an Art Deco storefront. Oddly enough, I've wanted to use fish as an architectural element for a long time. 1st floor interior: Decorative wall panels. 2nd and 3rd floor feature a nice but somewhat cramped 2 bedroom aparment. Next to a couple of my other mocs. Thanks for looking! (Sorry the photography isn't great.)
