Hello One of my favourite games growing up was Mechwarrior, so my new found passion for Lego designing was always going to incorporate a mechwarrior design at some point. One of my favourite mechs was the Mad cat or Timberwolf, so that is what I tried to recreate in this Lego design. But like most things I design that I plan on building, it must be playable, it has to be something my 4 and 5 year old would love to play with(destroy), so I added the mechbay with lots of playable features, it has sliding doors, a fully functional sliding crane and hoist system as well a few minifigures to refit and repair the mech. I do intend to actually build this one once I finish my build of the Klingon bird of prey that I have shared on this forum. If you are interested, I have added this model to Lego ideas and it is currently in the support stage, so if you think it would make a great set for Lego to officially build then any support given would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think, any feedback would be great. Once upon a time, around nine years ago, I was a burgeoning fan of Ninjago, an avid reader of Brickipedia, and hadn't yet made my way to Mocpages. I was in the store, probably Books a Million, where I was flipping through a Ninjago Brickmaster book when I laid my eyes on my first mech. Not exactly the most inspired build, but was an inspiration to me. I mean come on! It was a Giant Robot, what could be cooler than that! I didn't end up buying the book since I was a child at the time, but my interest in Giant Robots was Peaked. Fast forwarding a few years, after a couple of dodgy attempts to make one with parts from the Toy Story Pizza Planet Truck, I was looking through Youtube to find some cool lego reviews and mocs, I stumbled across this video by Artifex Creation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtAMGj74Br0 Now, this blew my tiny Ninja obsessed mind, I had no idea that Lego mechs could be that big. Keep in mind that most of my time on Mocpages at the time was concerned with bionicle, and at the only mechs released for the theme where the Samurai X mech, the Fangpyre mech, the first Fire mech, and the previously mentioned Skulkin Mech. Unfortunately I lacked any real parts to build something substantial, so I sat on my hands for a bit. But all that Changed once I got my filthy mits on Superman V. Power Armor Lex I wanna say that was late 2013/early 2014 since I was really looking forward to the upcoming rebooted season. I mean Come on, they were fighting Robots! So I tried my hand at building some sort of Nindroid Lighting Mech with the parts I had. The only problem? I didn't have any Nindroids, so I ended up making some amalgamation of Final Battle Jay and the Series 8 Evil Robot. He had stolen Jay's powers and color scheme. Cut me some slack guys. Fortunetly, I was about to get some of those sweet Ninja robots with my first Ninjago mech: The Destructoid This Thing had it all: Choping blades! A Disk Shooter! A Sawblade! Tank tracks! And a sword! This thing was awesome, and it was another in a long line of Ninjago Purchases. Fast Forwarding to 2017, I fully caught up with the show, and excited for the movie, and moreso the sets. We had gotten some pretty goods mech in the past, but it seemed that with the film came a renaissance of Ninjago set designs. Bigger, Bolder builds that sought to do more than what came before it, and that was where my problem began: The Garma Mecha Man. Now, there's nothing inherently wrong with the set, it serves its purpose as an affordable imitation of the onscreen build at an smaller scale. It's well built and fun to mess around with, if a bit chunky. No, the problem came when you compared it to some of the other sets in the wave. (Picture taken from the Brickset Review) The Garma Mecha Man isn't exactly the most imposing build. In the film, it seemed like it could go toe to toe with all six ninja vehicles at once. The Set looks like it could hardly go up against one, so I set out to build one that could. Not my best work, I'll admit. This early design was plagued with poor shaping, weak knees, and a waste that was only held on by four studs, though it could fit a figure inside. It was a rough start, and disassembled soon after, but it was a stepping stone for bigger and better things: Garmagedon Constructed with the parts of The Nindroid Mechdragon, The Destructoid, The Garma Mecha Man, the Iron Doom, the Oni Titan, The Water Strider, and whatever odds and ends I had laying around, and with the Four Golden Weapons plugged into its chest, the mech was almost on the verge of perfection. The only Problems? My attempt at torso articulation left no room for a cockpit, made the build very unstable, and provided very little movement. A rework was in order before I could hope on showing it off, and to help celebrate the ten year anniversary of Ninjago, I got off my butt and decided to get to work. And that brings us to today. Countless reworks, and two extra arms, I'd like to show you guys the finished **Shogun Titan** I know I've talked a lot in this post, but I hope that my work speaks for itself. Hello, everyone! LEGO really likes making mechs for Marvel, so decided making two mechs who are actual from Marvel lore: SP//dr and the Leopardon! SP//dr is the mech created by Peni Parker in an alternate universe, and takes design notes from Evangelion units. I based on the comics design, not in the one from the animated movie: It can fit one spider-man minifigure inside, as you can see: Here's a close-up of the face: Leopardon, on the other side, is the giant mecha of Supaidaman, the hero from a tokusatsu series. Leopardon is actually the first mecha in this kind of shows ever! I design this based on LEGO line of small mechs: Fully articulated, Leopardon wields an energy sword on the right hand, and fits one minifigure inside its cockpit: Additionally, you can attach theTurning Arc in its right hand! Hi! I just recently got into Lego and I'm interested in MOCs. I saw the Ninjago Overlord Dragon and was inspired to turn it into a mech. I've watched some videos about making mech frames, arms, legs etc but I need help identifying parts to make joints so I can purchase them individually in bricklink. I'm actually interested in balljoints for the shoulders and hips and the smaller ones for the wrists and ankles. Also, what is the best to use to connect the head to the body? Finally, I wanted to convert the wings into swords. So what parts would be good for hilts?

After building version one of this mech a couple of months ago, I realized that I needed stronger joints. It would hold a pose, but just felt to fiddly and prone to flopping over at the hips. This new version feels much sturdier, and I've made instructions for it and shared them on Rebrickable. See more on flickr

Hello, dear friends. I've been a fan of the Technic series for a long time. For all the time I can remember only a couple of sets that go beyond construction equipment and cars, one of which 4958 - Monster Dino, from which my acquaintance with the company's products began in ancient times. With my idea, I want to new wave a series of Technic and show that these are not just machines. The proposed model is driven by two pull-back motors. While driving, the bug slowly accelerates and runs a distance of about two meters. Starts with a traditional rollback. After start, the beetle does not just go forward, but moves its legs and moves its head. Vote and join if you also think it's time to add something new to the series of Technic. Hello, everybody! TMNT Lego sets were great, but unfortunately the license was canceled. Kraangdroids were a good army builder, a robot that accommodates the kraang creature, a despicable brain alien. So, I built a kraangdroid in two sizes. A small one, almost the size of a minifigure, and a large one, a mech, which encapsulates the kraang creature of the 79100 set. Here they are: The tiny kraandroid next to the turtles. The head is from the Ultron's minions: As well as the big mech. MOC - Monkie Kid: Upgraded small Bull Mech

The Monkie Kid sets are unique and quite fun (and so is the TV show btw) but as usually always when it comes to small Lego mechs, they are quite lacking. The huge Monkey King Mech set contains a tiny mech as a side build for one of the Bull Clones. Unfortunately that mech is quite lacking in articulation and details. Well, nothing a few additional parts can´t fix: Monkie Kid Mech (1) Monkie Kid Mech (2) Credit for the frame go to Chubbybots and M1ndbender who inspired me with their work and with the mech frame (i´m terrible at mech frames :D) I used many of the outstanding parts from the original mech like the metalbeards, the black 1x2 slope thingies,the golden ring and also the overall color palette. The Mech now has prober hands to grab things and fight but it also has its trademark arm cannon. I always thought the metalbeard beards would be great shoulder pads and build them in a way so they can move a bit to extend the moving range of the mech`s arms. Greetings! It’s been forever since I last put up a post but I’ve finally gotten round to making some more ‘mechs! Rather than make a new topic for each one I’m going to keep adding more and more to this, and I’ve even remembered to take some work in progress pics as well which I will try and add as I go along as there’s always room for tips! And now, first up is the SPN-Ae “Egyptian” https://imgur.com/a/9jLXfTC A slight challenge but a very pleasing build over the course of several months (I get about 15-20 mins free build time most week days) and I’m very satisfied with the end result. I think the shaping is good, streamlined, and putting in the orange was a big step for me in deviating away from the more plain colours. A lot of all the new parts I have to build with have come from the recent City Space range and that’s largely where the colour scheme comes from, and I’ll often not use stickers if I’m buying sets purely to build with but I think they work well here and add something to the builds. I still need to fill a gap on the inside of each leg, just in front of the joint. I need either a single square stud or to change a piece on the inside to fill it. The other change I may make is to fit a ball joint on the two shoulder stud launchers to allow them to move a lot more. As always; thoughts, comments, constructive criticism. Introducing Cpt. Jean-Mech Picard! When I came up with this idea, I thought this was probably quite a common concept for a Lego MOC. turned out it wasn't so, but now I also know why... it took me forever to design a mech that could fit into the model of the Enterprise. Hi all. I’ve just completed this moc made of about 3,000 pieces. Its called 'Let slip the dogs of war' and is a post-apocalyptic scene in which a huge dog-like mech encounters a small dog which its programming cannot decide is a friend or foe. It took 2 months to design and build. I started with the intention of just making a black 4 legged mech which quickly grew into this much larger project. On railless locomotives: the case of bipedal vehicles

Like many people, I regarded steam locomotives as rather dark and monstrouos machines untill I first saw their early iterations. It was a novel technology at the time, so embelishing them for the amazed crowds and potential contractors should have been appropiate. The mechanical detail is more aesthetic than plausible. Yet, there are elements taken from what an early steam walker should have looked like, besides the vibrant colours. Most of its inhards are shown, there are very few largue pieces of metal, structural elements take over shape design. It is somewhat outlandish, taking a mechanical shape similar to that of many tin toys. Even if it seems to be something rather decorative, there are a few tricks to make it more resistant than it seems. Legs rest directly over the axle pillar and the superstructure it hides. Feet are also anchored to the base to avoid deformation. -
W.A.B.B.I.T stands for : Weaponized- Armored- Battle- Breaker- Infantry- Taskforce. These MECHs were the pinnacle of the Critter Wars. Highly mobile and agile construct. Their speed is unmatched on the battlefield. They fit both in the role of scout and infantry. The unit main weapon: The C4rr-0T Assault Rifle. The aim is deadly precise. They can be equipped with an E.G.G. (Explosive-Grenade-Gear) for much more havoc.

Tank Brothers - mini tank troop. It is made of 2 Short Range Tanks, 2 Long Range Tanks, 1 Spy Drone and 1 Commander Tank. These 6 tanks can combine into a big combat robot to defeat more powerful enemies.

I’ve always been a fan of battlemechs, spending hours playing mech warrior followed by trying to build them from classic Lego in the mid to late 90s and needless to say, they weren’t good. Fast forward 20 years and with new parts and me being (slightly) better at building I’ve given it another try and made my own, which is more like a Warstrider from the book series of the same name rather than a battletech mech. I first build this around a year ago but didn’t get as far as posting it and since then I’ve tinkered and changed it as everyone does. Rather than just post the current build I thought I’d post the first iteration for completion and so that my thought process can also be seen https://imgur.com/a/NhjQZL6 The HK-55 barracuda, twin laser cannons, missile racks and a chin mounted particle cannon. I tried to upload the images rather than just a link but they were too large. Its a fairly standard mech, bird legs, two arms and shoulder missiles. The series Warstrider describes them as looking like an aircraft fuselage with arms and legs attached and that’s what I was going for, and the pilots lie in a small coffin sized space where the neural link is complete, the pilot ‘becoming’ the strider as opposed to a battletech cockpit. In that series the striders are also 5m tall at most rather than the 10m mechs from battletech. It fits a fig, with feet ‘standing’ on a snot plate just at the join of the main body to the nose, and the interior of the nose is a trans orange piece to represent the reactor which itself is covered by further modified snot bricks for the sideways and upside down building. Early on when building, I had ideas for several mechs and they were going to follow a deep sea naming convention, so I’ve tried to keep dark colours on top, light on bottom. I’ve also tried to build compact so that it did not end up being massive. I also tried to get a suggestion of gills along the side of the nose, which in universe would be heat sinks. The reverse legs look cool but they weren’t good at keeping it stable and it was hard to pose so I had a rethink and I’ve rebuilt it as such: https://imgur.com/a/IX2qkVU The new legs are a huge improvement, it looks menacing and it’s easier to pose and handle. My previous idea of marine creatures being represented has now been transferred over to dinosaurs, and ‘heavy claw’ is the name for baryonyx. I’ve got several more planned that need just a bit more tinkering before showing off, and who knows I may start working on a completely different tangent altogether! This still has a few adjustments I’d like to make, most around the thighs. I’m happy with the proportions it’s more the detailing. I’ve also tried to make these as smooth as possible, with as few studs showing as I can manage. Another important factor for me is an actual element of play, hence the spring and stud shooters, I like to incorporate these where I can. Comments and critique welcome and if you’ve got some different mech builds aside from the typical giant mech warrior then put them up! More mechs and battle suits to come, hopefully along the same dinosaur theme! P.S if you like sci fi and mechs I do recommend the book series ‘Warstrider’.
