    Alternate Face for Thanos?

So, I think we can all agree that the 'angry gritted-teeth grimace' expression that the Thanos bigfig from the Thanos Ultimate Battle set is . . . inaccurate, to say the least. (Honestly, I have nightmares about how OOC he was acting in that one Black Panther Lego animated short . . .) So! I want to know, does anyone have any ideas on what could be done ro create something more accurate? Non-purist methods would probably be best . . maybe a paper or cardboard 'hood' that could be put over his head that's all purple and has a face printed on, so that not only is the expression fixed but it looks like he's not wearing that inaccurate helmet. Does anyone have any better ideas? Or even tried something similar?
  2. Since I saw the official pics for the set, i decided that, I must mod the shoulder area. I know there are a lot of cool mods and rebuilds of the set, but I like keep the sets in original form as possible. The overall design of the Hulkbuster was good looking and sturdy, but the gaps at the shoulder bothered me much. Those gaps are there to give space for 360 degree movement of the arms. After the instructions of the set become available, I build it in LDD and then I started to change the build.Mostly I just took out some parts, but it has greatly improved the look. Guide to the Modification: Required Patrs: For this simple mod you only need this 3 parts. For the black arms you could use the outriders arms, because the don't need 6 arms, I think. 1. The mod is begins with disassembly. You need to take off the upper part of the body and the right arm. 2. To get the arms closer to the body you need to leave out the black gears and to change the axle. Than you could take back this arm and take out the another arm. The left arm is on a shorter axle, so you just need to take out the gear. 3. Next comes the upper part. You need to take out curved pieces from the top and the layer of black plates to make it 1 plate high lower. Then you should swap the to black L plate with the gray 1x4, for sturdier connection. 4. Because the height reduction the minifig should stand lower to let the dome close, so you need to take out the 1x2 plate from under the standing piece. 5.Last thing, you could take the 2x2 transparent blue cylinder out to reduce the size of the wheel, which operates the arm. The bashing-arm function is still working after the mod, but it's a bit limited in motion by the shoulder armor. You should be careful with it because you could accidentally knock off those parts, if you raise the arm to high. Fixing the arm with the wheel on the back is workig still too and then you coud posing the arms. After this mod here is our extra parts left: Comparison: I hope you like this small modification.

    Are You Worthy?

Are you worthy? My latest MOC is Thor's Hammer. Hammer1 by Nicholas Halliday, on Flickr 1:1 scale (or as close as I could get) based on the 2011 movie. It has taken me a long time to get the size, angles and overall design right. I've had a number of attempts at it. I will be displaying it next weekend here in Newcastle, Australia with my 1:1 Captain America Shield. Enjoy More Photos of the Hammer and Shield can be found below, Hoping to get some of the two together at the show. Marvel Builds

    [MOC] Chitauri Leviathan

This is my MOC for the Chitauri Leviathan from The Avengers. I plan on buying the parts and building it in real life. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to leave them on my Flickr page. If anyone wants the LXF file for the Leviathan, let me know and I'll add it. The 1x2 empty space above the gold on the side of the head will have a stud shooter, which isn't in the standard LDD yet.

    [MOC] The Fantasti-Car

I wanted to build a Fantasti-Car to display my Fantastic Four figures. It is loosely based on its representation in Lego Marvel Super Heroes, but is more of a custom design. The pods do separate EDIT: I swapped out the Technic pins for the stud pins and it looks much smoother. I am planning on getting a Fantastic Four logo to put on the front. I hope you enjoyed!

    Spider-Man 3 Final Battle

file:///C:/Users/Cole Kennedy/Pictures/iPhone Pictures/Building Instructions [Spider-Man 3 Final Battle].html# <-- Here is the link to see the build. The reason I joined this site was so I could show off this build. This build was inspired by a build I found on here that was created by CM4Sci. His was a bit smaller, but still looked very good. However, I wanted to try and make one that I thought would fit the set better. This build contains 471 pieces and features 5 minifigures.
  8. To celebrate Marvel's Tenth Anniversary, I have started creating MOCs from the movies in LDD. I plan to make at least one build for each movie. I am having trouble coming up with playability features for these builds, so if you have any ideas, please leave them in the comments. Black Panther - Waterfall Battle FIgures: T'Challa, Killmonger, M'Baku, Ayo, Shuri, and Zuri. Also comes with a panther mask for T'Challa and a gorilla mask for M'Baku Iron Man - Mark 1 Escape Figures: Tony Stark, Yinsen, Iron Man Mark 1, two Ten Rings members The Mark 1 has stud-shooter flamethrowers and the bad guys have a turret. Inside there is a rack to hang the Mark 1, a workbench with blueprints, a welders helmet, and a toolbox (this picture is from an older model so it is missing the turret and has an earlier version of the Mark 1) I plan to make a lot more of these in the future. Again, any playability feature suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Thanks!
  9. Inspired by the Purist Superhero Figures thread, I created this thread for everyone to show off their brick-built superhero figures. Obviously, some characters just don't work as a minifigure, so a brick-built figure is required. I have created quite a few, and I hope you enjoy them. Feel free to post whatever creations you have made. All of mine are from Marvel, but DC is just as welcome. My only request is that you limit your posts to characters who need to be rendered as brick-built (for example, don't post a brick-built figure of Captain America) Here are links to all of my creations. M.O.D.O.K Lockjaw Colossus Ego the Living Planet Blob and Juggernaut Man-Thing Surtur Man-Ape The Living Totem Marvel Contest of Champions' King Groot and Morningstar Lizard and Kingpin Iron Man Mk 38 and Iron Man 1872 Korg and Miek Abomination Micro Yellowjacket Dormammu Uatu the Watcher Galactus Red King in Battle Armor from Planet Hulk Giant-Man Hope you enjoy and show me some of yours! ~Schwa
  10. Hey all! Since Lego was good enough to include 4 of each infinity stone with each set, I figure we've all got a few spare ones lying around, and a few we're missing. So I was thinking it'd make sense to set up an exchange, so we can all help each other complete our gauntlets. If you're interested, list what you have and what you want in a post here. If you see someone who matches what you want to trade, send them a private message, exchange addresses, and mail each other some all powerful cosmic artifacts! Clean exchanges only, please don't ask for money, this is all for fun and not profit. HAVE: 2x Orange 2x Red 2x Blue 2x Green ...and I don't have it in hand, but I'm having 2x Purple shipped to me, and should have soon. WANT: 1x Yellow
  11. After deciding I didn't want to buy all 6 Infinity War sets to have the complete Gauntlet, I decided to build my own. I had to sacrifice some accuracy in stone placement for size because I didn't want it to be too big but I think it turned out looking alright and recognizable. The finger hinge is in tan because I couldn't find a yellow one. I can build the Gauntlet in LDD and post the file if anyone wants it but you can probably figure out how it's built from the pictures. Enjoy! ~Schwa
  12. Dear all I am new to Eurobricks but felt it would be a worthwhile experience to join up and share something with you. In essence, I am looking for some help and or advice. I have been a serious collector of LEGO for around 7 years and have manged to build up, in my most humble of opinions, a rather large collection. All of my items items are either Marvel, DC or Cuusoo/ Ideas with a very small amount of loose Star Wars minifigures, promotional LEGO giveaways etc. Every single set, polybag, book, DVD, comic etc has been purchased, bubble wrapped, boxed and stored safely. 99% of the collection is mint and sealed with a few exceptions which are near mint but still sealed. Not one item has been opened. It has been an obsession of mine for a while and the collection has been built up and cared for extremely well. However, space is now becoming a bit of an issue so I posed the question to myself, "What on earth am I going to do with all this LEGO?" In summary, I have 310 lots made up from sets, keyrings, books, dvds, polybags and specials. I have multiples of some sets. I have every single Cuusoo/ Ideas set every made, 116 DC Comics lots, 123 Marvel Comics lots and 35 Marvel/ DC keyrings. With Comic Con and USA exclusives aside, I have every single DC and Marvel set, polybag, magnet, book and keyring released since 2011. I honestly do not know what to do. Do I keep going knowing that Marvel and DC sets will continue to be released probably after I have gone, do I bite the bullet and sell them all or do I just stop buying and sit on them all for a few years? Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated. I have a detailed spreadsheet of the entire collection. If anyone would like to see it, please just ask. With thanks in advance

  16. Hi everyone, I have build several vignettes with the minifigs from polybags (giveaways). I have done something similar with Star Wars minifigures. The first one is Hank Pym, who has turned into a giant. The second one is the Winter Soldier inside a Hydra facility. The third vignette is with Rocket Raccoon with Groot, The fourth vignette is with Rhodey as Iron Patriot. The Hulk is on a rampage and is still angry. Tony Stark in his Silver Centurion suit. The last vignette is with Electro inside a power plant. For more pictures, visit my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are welcome. Sander

    Galactus

I have wanted a Galactus figure for awhile now, who doesn't have "wish list". So, thought I would try my hand at making one. Thing and Human Torch are 2 of my favorites Marvel characters. My dad's was Silver Surfer. I have read alot of FF comics and personally, I wouldn't say the 2 movies were bad. But, they are far from what I think Marvel would have done with them. Also, if a FF3 movie was made, I feel, we would have got a proper Galactus. This is also, my first time editting a pics, so be gentle!! Like most of the things I do in LDD, I do plan on building this in real bricks, but, I seem to be building more and more in LDD and less and less in real bricks. Both time and money are factor! Also, Lego doesn't make alot of bricks in purple, so I may have to settle for replacing the purple on him with red. Not a huge trade off! I think he looks good. Here is a shot of the FF trying to talk Galactus into not eating earth! Maybe not the best setting for them, but, I liked the building in the background, it looks like the Baxter Building with the 4 on it. I also made 2 Fantasticar, one from the comics and one from the movies. Both can fit 4 figure, but, neither can fit a Thing Big Fig, if they make him like Hulk. I also, posted this to Lego Ideas, if you would like to vote on it. I'm sure it would need to be scaled down. As he sits, he has 2550 pieces in him. I don't think he is a big enough draw to warrent a set like this. FF isn't Batman, or the Avengers. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88998 Thanks, Jamie
